Since the types and formats of the provided material and data are difficulties from one to another, difficulties have occurred in exchanging and sharing Information. Under such a circumstance, standardization and management of information or files have been a critical factor leading to an active and successful Electronic Commerce. XML(extensible Markup Language), which is a standardized format for data exchange via internet, has been recognized as a standard by World Wide Web Consortium(W3C). XML takes web environment as the interface, runs well even in a heterogeneous environment and saves data in a standardized format, therefore, it can be effectively used for creating and transferring standardized files. In this paper, a XML-based data processing system, which aims at supplementing the existing HTML-based shopping mall system and the methodology for constructing the system is presented with specific examples.

QFD (Quality Function Deployment) was defined by the American Supplier Institute in 1987 as a system for translating consumer requirements into appropriate company requirements at every stage, from research, through product design and development, to manufacture, distribution, installation, and marketing, sales and services. Although QFD has complex and tedious procedure to complete, it has now been in use in the world for at least 15 years because QFD enables us to catch a lot of fruitful information on the given system. The objective of this paper is to provide and analyze the trend on the choice of subject courses of university students using QFD. The data are collected by questionnaires. The samples for this study are randomly chosen from the universities in Seoul, Kangnung, and Samchok during 3 months (2000. 3∼2000.5). The results of this study will play an important role not only for service of students but also for opening of courses.

General definition of data mining is the knowledge discovery or is to extract hidden necessary information from large databases. Its technique can be applied into decision making, prediction, and information analysis through analyzing of relationship and pattern among data. One of the most important work is to find association rules in data mining. The objective of this paper is to find customer's trend using association rule from analysis of database and the result can be used as fundamental data for CRM(Customer Relationship Management). This paper uses Apriori algorithm and FoodMart data in order to find association rules.

In order to manage complex, various and huge data, it is vital to construct efficient information system. For this effective information system, data have properly to be stored, encoded and represented when needed. This paper presents equipment management information system using wireless application protocol. This system enables us to have remote control of data searching and data management. Also, through the technique of data mining, database resulted from this system can be utilized into expectation and analysis about life-cycle, characteristic, and failure time of equipment, pattern recognition of users, and state of movement, etc.

Naturally, children will grow up and they will become teenagers, college students as time goes by. Also, all children will enter into appropriate educational institutes according to age. The objective of this study is to compare and analyze the data of body size of children for safe educational environment. The data are measured by some parts on body such as stature, height, weight, circumferences, length, width, and depth. The samples for this study are randomly chosen from kindergartens in. Seoul and Kangnung during three months (2000. 3 ∼ 2000. 5).

In order to get effective and useful results after experiments, it is essential to classify and analyze data resulted from experiments. After these processes, obtained data enables us to have meaningful indications. During experiments, the main concern was to find the reducing ratio of formaldehyde concentrations compared to reference level of added material which affect the indoor air quality. Finally, the main objective of this study is to validate on optimal added amount of eco-friendly material for functional concrete.

Recently, many researchers have been executed on functional concrete in various fields. Especially, some researchers on added material for functional concrete are executed to improve the indoor air quality in daily living space. The indoor air quality was estimated by reducing capacity for the concentrations of formaldehyde. The main objective of this study is to provide a model to predict optimal amount of added material for functional concrete.
