        Synthesis of RGO (reduced graphene oxide)-CdS composite material was performed through CBD (chemical bath deposition) method in which graphene oxide served as the support and Cadmium Sulfate Hydrate as the starting material. Graphene-based semiconductor photocatalysts have attracted extensive attention due to their usefulness for environmental and energy applications. The band gap (2.4 eV) of CdS corresponds well with the spectrum of sunlight because the crystalline phase, size, morphology, specic surface area and defects, etc., of CdS can affect its photocatalytic activity. The specific surface structure (morphology) of the photocatalyst can be effective for the suppression of recombination between photogenerated electrons and holes. Graphene (GN) has unique properties such as a high value of Young's modulus, large theoretical specific surface area, excellent thermal conductivity, high mobility of charge carriers, and good optical transmittance. These excellent properties make GN an ideal building block in nanocomposites. It can act as an excellent electron-acceptor/transport material. Therefore, the morphology, structural characterization and crystal structure were observed using various analytical tools, such as X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and Raman spectroscopy. From this analysis, it is shown that CdS particles were well dispersed uniformly in the RGO sheet. Furthermore, the photocatalytic property of the resulting RGO-CdS composite is also discussed in relation to environmental applications such as the photocatalytic degradation of pollutants. It was found that the prepared RGO-CdS nanocomposites exhibited enhanced photocatalytic activity as compared with that of CdS nanoparticles. Therefore, better efficiency of photodegradation was found for water purification applications using RGO-CdS composite.

        Hydrogeologic properties of a well field around middle mountainous areas in Pyosun, Jeju volcanic island were examined based on water level monitoring, geologic logging and pumping test data. Due to the alternating basaltic layers with varying permeability in the subsurface, it is difficult to analyze the hydraulic responses to artificial pumping and/or natural precipitation. The least permeable layer, detrital materials with clay, is found at a depth of 200 m below surface, but it is not an upper confining bed for lower main aquifer. Nevertheless, this layer may serve as a natural barrier to vertical percolation and to contaminant migration. Water levels of the production wells are dominantly affected by pumping frequently, while those of the remote observation wells are controlled by ambient precipitation. Results of pumping tests revealed a possible existence of horizontal anisotropy of transmissivity. However, some results of this study include inherent limitations enforced by field conditions such as the consistent of groundwater production and the set of time periods for the cessation of the pumping prior to pumping tests.

        제주도는 현무암과 조면암으로부터 기원한 투수성 높은 토양으로 인하여 지표수 유입에 따른 상시하천 발달이 어려워, 용수의 대부분을 지하수에 의존하고 있다. 이에 따른 무분별한 지하수 개발은 지하수위 강하로 이어져, 제주도내 많은 지역에서 지하수 오염과 해수침투 현상이 나타나고 있다. 제주특별자치도는 제주도의 항구적인 지하수자원 보전을 위하여 1994년 이래 일부 지역을 지하수 보전구역으로 지정하였으며, 이 지역내의 모든 지하수 개발은 허가를 받도록 지정한 바 있다. 또한 지하수 수문과 관련된 수리지질 정보 획득을 위하여, 2001년 이래로 제주도 내 해안지역 및 저지대 전체를 대상으로 지하수 관측망을 설치 운영 중이다. 본 연구에서 이러한 지하수 관측망으로부터 얻어진 지하수위, 수온, 전기전도도 등 장기 관측자료를 분석한 결과, 북부 해안지역의 경우 지하수위가 지속적으로 하강하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 동부 해안지역의 경우는 최근 취수량의 급격한 증가에 따른 해수침투의 영향으로, 대부분의 관측정에서 전기전도도가 높게 나타나며 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 추세로 분석되었다. 이러한 문제점들은 지하수 개발과 관련하여 제주특별자치도의 강력한 통제로 인하여 최근들어 감소하는 추세이지만, 본 연구 결과에 의하면 해안지역의 경우에는 지하수위 하강 및 전기전도도 상승 현상이 지속될 것으로 판단된다.

        The purpose of this study was to get an information on hotel cook. So the food and beverage (F and B) enterprise is one of the most promising industry on post-industry society, and the cook is real agent to lead the F and B enterprise, we need to have a data, information and knowledge on cook to improve a culinary art training program and working environment. This study was surveyed by 216 cook to work for deluxe hotels at Pusan. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The almost cook worked with restaurant for 8~9 hours/day, and a half of cook earned a million won in a month. A higher grade cook worked longer hours and earned more money than a lower grade one. 2. The most popular workplace of the cook was Western restaurant, the male cook working at a Western restaurant were more than female, the more female cook and novices worked at a Korean restaurant. 3. The most popular qualification that the cook take were a western culinary art one, and next were Korean one and Japanese one. The 77.8% cook worked at the place that fitted in with their culinary art qulification. 4. A half of cook insisted that they were a expert of western culinary art, and the next was the Korean, Japanese one in order. 5. The cook were unsatisfied with pay, work environment, human relation and promotion, and if they change their workplace, a lot of cook wished to manage their own restaurant. 6. The 63.4% of cook changed their workplace more than a time. The male cook got a more chance to change workplace than female one. The higher grade cook got a more chance to charge workplace. Almost cook got a no chance to study a culinary art at overseas. The most favorite place that the cook want to visit for studying was Europe, and next were Japan, America, Southeast Asia in order.

        This study is carbonation resistance of the natural durability enhancement materials that can reduce cracking of the concrete. The durability enhancement materials of natural were substituted 10%, 20%, 30% of cement, the results were confirmed excellent carbonation resistance as the more increasing the natural durability enhancement.
