        The tribe Eucosmini is the second largest tribe of Olethreutinae with more than 1,000 species in over 125 genera, distributed mostly in the Holarctic region, and over half of the known species occur in the Nearctic region (Horak and Brown, 1991b). Enarmonia Hübner, Ancylis Hübner, and its allied genera are tentatively retained in Eucosmini, although they have been treated as the subtribe Enarmoniina (Razowski, 1989) belong to Eucosmini maybe distinguished from other tribes by a combination of the following characters proposed by Kuznetsov and Stekolnikov (1984): 1) one-branched protuberance of the valve; 2) gnathos and uncus very weakened or reduced. In Vietnam, in the period 1977-1978 and 1997-1998, National Institute of Plant Protection (NIPP) recorded only seven Tortricidae species. But none of them are Eucosmini. Recently, Kuznetzov (2001) recorded four species in the South Vietnam: Eucosmogastra aeolantha (Meyrick, 1914), Noduliferola pleurogramma (Clarke, 1976), N. atriplaga (Clarke, 1976), N. phaeostropha (Clarke, 1976). Razowski recorded 14 species of 10 genera of Eucosmini (2009). In this study, we are briefly reviewed of tribe Eucosmini in North Vietnam. As the result of this study, totally 19 Eucosmini species of 13 genera are recognized. Of them, 17 species are reported for the first time from Vietnam such as: Coenobiodes acceptana Kuznetzov, 1973; Epiblema foenella (Linnaeus, 1785); Eucosma calligrapha Meyrick, 1912, etc. The materials identification based on the collection of University of Incheon, which has collected from 2004-2009 in the North Vietnam by Vietnamese and Korean entomologist.

        The family Arctiidae is a large and diverse family of moths with around 11,000 species (Watson & Goodger, 1986) in three subfamilies found all over the world, including 6,000 neotropical species (Scoble. MJ, 1995). The family is characterized in the following characters (Kitching & Rawlins, 1999): hindwing with Sc+R and S fused for about 1/3 length of discal cell, occasionally completely fused, or only fused for 1/4 length of cell; almost always with either fore coxa, patagium, or abdomen orange or red and contrasting with color of dorsal thorax; metathorax with tymbal organs appearing as a striated band on katepisternum. Taxonomic study of the Arctiidae in Cambodia has been done by a few foreign entomologists. In the present study, we were collected three times from Cambodia in three protected forests are Seima, Central Cardamom, and North Cardamom (Pursat). Each times, we were collected from 3 to 5 sites in each forests. As the results of this study, about 70 species of 32 genera belonging to Arctiidae were recorded from Cambodia. The materials examined based on the collection of University of Incheon, which has collected from 2009-2010 in Cambodia by Cambodian and Korean researcher.

        A total of sixteen Xylotrechus species from the Korean peninsula are recognized, including a newly recorded species, Xylotrechus pavlovskii Plavilstshikov, 1954. We present brief descriptions of the Korean Xylotrechus species, except four species which could not be examined in this study. The geographic distribution, host plants, illustrations for each species, and a key to the Korean Xylotrechus species are provided.

        The genus Micromus is a large group, belongs to the family Hemerobiidae with a worldwide distribution. This genus was named by Rambur, 1842 based on the type species Hemerobius variegates Fabricius, 1793. Eighty five species have been described from the world. Among them only one species, M. numerosus (Navás), has been recorded from Korea. Morphologically, Micromus is easily distinguished from other hemerobiid genera by the combination of the following characteristics: maxillary palpus 5 segments, labial palpus 3segments; forewing with costal area quite narrow at base and one prestigmal Sc-R crossvein, without recurrent humeral vein and crossvein 2M-Cu. Members of the genus Micromus are generally considered to be beneficial as predators of various aphids, particularly on sugar cane and corn plants. This genus occurs in a variety of habitats including both trees and grasses. It is often found in alfalfa fields where both larvae and adults feed on aphids. Adults are also highly attracted to lights at night. In this reviewing study about the Korean Micromus, we study two species. M. angulatus (Stephens) and M. numerosus (Navás). Among them M. angulatus is newly included in Korean fauna. We also provide a key to the Korean species of Micromus, description, illustrations of diagnostic characters and distributional data.

        Leaf roller moths Olethreutinae is the second largest subfamily in Tortricidae, comprising worldwide more than 4,300 species (Horak, 2006). Of which, 465 species of 88 genera in South Asia (Diaknoff, 1973). In Vietnam, when studying on fauna of the agricultural pests, National Institute of Plant Protection (NIPP) recorded only 4 Tortricidae species (1977-1978), and 3 Tortricidae species (1997- 1998). From 1996 to 2001. Kuznetzov reported two new genera Fibuloides gen. nov., Pammenpsis gen. nov., and 19 species of Olethreutinae. He also has created a list of 208 Tortricidae species in the North Vietnam. Recently, Razowski recorded 33 species, 11 genera (2008), he (2009) also reported 107 species, 61 genera, of which 61 species of 41 genera belong to Olethreutinae in the North Vietnam. Of which, 25 species are described as new to science, 13 species are new to Vietnam. In the present study, we are briefly reviewed of subfamily Olethreutinae in North Vietnam. We recognized 105 species of 51 genera. Of them, 50 species are reported for the first time from North Vietnam such as: Andrioplecta pulverula Meyrick, 1912; Cryptophlebia repletana Walker, 1863; Dactylioglypha tonica (Meyrick, 1909); Lobesia aelopa Meyrick, 1997; Lobesia ambigua Diaknoff, 1954, etc. The materials identification base on the collection of University of Incheon, which has collected in North Vietnam from 2004-2009.

        The genus Eriborus which is a small-sized campoplegine genus was firstly described by Föster in 1869 based on Campoplex perfidus. Members of this genus included 52 species in the world. Among them, 11 species are distributed in Eastern Palaearctic region, and only two species, E. molestae (Uchida, 1933) and E. terebrans (Gravenhorst, 1829) have been recorded in Korea(Yu et al., 2005). Most species of this genus are specialized parasitoids of 17 lepidopteran families, Cerambycidae(Coleoptera) and Tenthredinidae(Hymenoptera), and more particularly attack most of Noctuidae and Pyralidae(Lepidoptera) larvae as koinobiont endoparasitoids. This genus is easily distinguished from other campoplegine genera by the combination of the following characters: Carinae of propodeum usually strong, areola longer than wide; propodeal spiracles circular or short elliptic; fore wings without areolet; thyridium subcircular or longitudinally elliptic. In this study, we found two newly recorded species, Eriborus vulgaris (Morley, 1913) and Eriborus sinicus (Holmgren, 1868) from Korea. A revised key to the species of Korean Eriborus Föster, redescriptions and photographs of diagnostic characters are provided.

        The genus Periphyllus is tree-dwelling group, mostly on maple tree (Acer spp.). In this study, we discovered one species new to Korea, P. loricatus (Pashtchenko 1987) on A. ginalla. In prior to Pashtchenko(1987), Periphyllus ginallae Paik in Szelegiewicz (1974) seems the same species, nevertheless, treated as 'nomen nudum' without any description. As a result of our revision, totally seven species belong to this genus in the Korean peninsula.

        Linnaemya Robineau-Desvoidy (Diptera, Tachinidae) is one of the largest genera of the subfamily Tachininae with more than 149 described species in the world. In Korea, only three species have been known to date. In this study, the genus Linnaemya in Korea was reviewed. All available material was examined to identify the species of the genus. Based on the present study, we described a new species. Also ten species are reported for the first time from Korea: L. comta, takanoi, tessellans, ambigua, kanoi, zachvatkini, picta, pallidohirta, scutellaris, and lateralis. We provide a generic key, illustrations, and photos of the species of the genus. A phylogenetic analysis was also conducted to infer interspecific relationships among Korean Linnaemya species using a software, PAUP, with an outgroup Lypha dubia.

        The subfamily Dendrometrinae is a large group in Elateridae with about 2000 species world wide. However, this subfamily were not taxonomically reviewed in the Korean fauna. As the result of taxonomic review, 40 species are confirmed from Korea, with the description of two new genera, 11 new species, and one new subspecies. A total of 11 species are also recognized for the first time from Korea.

        Macrolepiota spp. list of the species found in Korea is composed of 4 species(Lee & Lee 2000). Macrolepiota spp. in Korea is M. alborubescens, M. neomastoidea, M. procera , and M. rhacodes. As the member of Lepiotaceae, Macrolepiota belongs under Eumycotina, Basidiomycotina, Eubasidimycotina, Hymenomycetidiae, and Agaricales. Its outer pileus of Macrolepiota spp. is serrate radially, a small scale is scattered its peridium. And stipe has a small annulus attached to it. Spores are subspore or fusiform, white and it has pseudo-amyloid. Each shape, size, shine and quility of fruiting body of Macrolepiota spp. is different in the breed and it is important sources of a classification of Macrolepiota spp. Especially, the shapes and colors of various scaly which are on the surface of the fungus are important to the external classification.

        A newly recorded species of Philostephanus Distant, 1909 from Korea, P. ulmi (Kerzhner, 1979), is reported with brief taxonomic notes on the Korean Philostephanus species. Morphological keys of the Korean Philostephanus species are provided with the photos of adults and female genitalia for each species.

        A taxonomic review of the genus Atractomorpha Saussure in Korea is presented. Two species are identified, Atractomorpha lata (Motschulsky, 1866) and a new record A. sinensis Bolívar, 1905 which is reported from the far southern islands in Korea, Gageo-do and Jeju-do. A key, descriptions, habitus photographs of adults, and distributional information are provided.

        The family Tortricidae, with just over 9000 described species (Brown 2005), is the second largest lineage in the microlepidoptera, and by far the most important economically. In Vietnam, de Joanis is the first entomologist has created the original data of moths. From 1928-1929, he reported 45 families belong to Lepidoptera and focoused on Noctuidae and Pyralidae. After the Vietnam war in the North (1954), many times were collected in the North by National Institute of Plant Protection (NIPP). But all of them focused on fauna of the agricultural pests. According to the publication of NIPP (1967-1968), 533 species of 37 families. Recently, Korean entomologists have researched on the Lepidoptera in Vietnam by Park et al. (2007) reported 816 species of Lepidoptera classified by 4 families; Noctuidae (564 species), Pyraloidae (201 species), Sphingidae (28 species), and Lecithoceridae (23 species). Vietnamese entomologists' reports have represented a diversity of Lepidoptera in National parks of Vietnam, but all of them focused on macrolepidoptera. In 2001, one new genus and 6 new species belong into Tortricidae in the Southern part has reported by Kuznetzov. In 2008 Razowski announced 10 Tortricidae species in Vietnam. The main aims of this study are to survey of any references of family Tortricidae in North Vietnam, and it also is the first data about Tortricidae in Vietnam. The materials identification based on the collection of University of Incheon, which has collected from 2004-2007. In the taxonomic review of the Tortricidae in Northern part of Vietnam, 40 species (16 species of the subfamily Tortricinae and 24 species of the subfamily Olethreutinae) are recognized. All of them are reported for the first time from Vietnam. Taxonomic review for all species is provided with photos of the adults for the species.

        We reviewed the tribe Oidaematophorini from the Korean peninsula. Fourteen species of 5 genera are recognized including new species, Hellinsia chuncheonensis sp. nov. and H. cyrtoacantha sp. nov. Five species are also reported as new to Korea: Adaina microdactyla (Hübner [1813]), Hellinsia ishiyamanus (Matsumura 1931), H. kuwayamai (Matsumura 1931), H. nigridactyla (Yano 1961) and Oidaematophorus iwatensis (Matsumura 1931). All the available information, including distributional ranges and biology of each taxon, is provided. The keys to the genera and species of Oidaematophotini is given. Illustrations of the images and male and female genitalia are provided.

        The members of the genus Chaitophous(Hemiptera: Aphididae) has limited host specificity on two genera of the family Salicaceae, Salix and Populus. In this study, as a result, we discovered 5 species new to Korea: C. Horii Takahashi 1939, C. leucomelas Koch 1854, C. salijaponicus Essig & Kuwana 1918, C. tremulae Koch 1854, and C. populialbae yomefuri Shinji 1941.

        The genus Platyptilia Hübner is the largest group of the tribe Platyptiliini (Lepidoptera, Pterophoridae) distributed in the Afrotropical and Palaearctic regions and rarely from the Pacific and Nearctic region, with 107 species (Gielis 2003) known from all over the world. From the Palaearctic region, 25 species have been described: 6 from Japan, 3 from China, and 11 from Russia, and two species, Platyptilia suigensis Matsumura and P. farfarellus Zeller from Korea. Recently, we recognized 5 species, including a new species and two species new to korea: Platyptilia ignifera Meyrick and P. nemoralis Zeller.

        Fourteen species of the genus Aulacorthum Mordvilko 1914 (Sternorrhyncha: Aphididae) are recognized from the Korean Peninsula. One new species, Aulacorthum artemisiphaga sp. nov. on Artemisia princeps and Artemisia stolonifera (Asteraceae) was compared with the seven congeneric species based on their morphological and molecular characteristics. Morphometric analysis using 29 morphological characters shows that A.artemisiphaga sp. nov. can be distinguished from the seven congeneric species. In comparisons of COI and CytB genes, A. artemisiphaga sp. nov. had inter-specific genetic distances (average 7.5% for COI and average 7.4% for CytB) similar to those of other congeneric species. Host plants of the Korean Aulacorthum are reviewed.

        The genus Philostephanus Distant 1909 belongs to the family Miridae, including 23 species from the eastern Palearctic and the Oriental regions. They are characterized with a relatively large body, brown or fuscous coloration, rather symmetrical parameres of male genitalia, and unique structures of female genitalia. Especially, the respective structures of female genitalia exhibit distinct interspecific variation, which is uncommon in other genera of Miridae, so they are used as key characters in identification and phylogenetic study. Most of members are known to inhabit deciduous trees, and their feeding habits are considered predominantly predaceous although some species are known to use some deciduous trees as their breeding hosts (Yasunaga & Schwartz, 2007). Presently, two species are reported in the Korean fauna (Kwon et al., 2001). During our study, we found one newly recorded Philostephanus species from Korea, P. ulmi (Kerzhner 1979), which is distinguished from other Korean congeners by speckled hemelytra with pale portions. In this study, we provide taxonomic information on P. ulmi and review briefly the Korean Philostephanus species with morphological keys and photos of specimens.

        In Vietnam, the moths were reported by some foreign entomologist such as de Joannis (1900), Ronkay (1989), Speidel & Kononenko (1998), Park et al. (2006), and Lien et al. (2008). In 1928 -1929 de Joannis created the original data of moths. His final reports on Lepidoptera were 45 families, 611 species of Noctuidae, and 461 species of Pyralidae. After the Vietnam War in North (1954), many times were collected in North Vietnam by National Institute of Plant Protection (NIPP). But all of them focused on fauna of the agricultural pests. According to the publication of NIPP (1967-1968), 533 species of 37 families of which there were 91 species of Noctuidae in the North Vietnam and some other moths known as the insect pests have been reported. In 1977 there were 77 species of Pyralidae known as the insect pests in the North Vietnam. The purpose of this study is to assess diversity of Lepidoptera order and to clarify the fauna in the Northern part of Vietnam, base on the Korea Vietnam collaborative insect-research project (2004-2006). The collecting have been conducted in four National Parks (Tam Dao, Cuc Phuong, Ba Be, and Bach Ma) Given results of the survey in the North of Vietnam from 2002 to 2006, 816 species of Lepidoptera classified by 4 families; Noctuidae (564 species), Pyraloidae (201 species), Sphingidae (28 species), and Lecithoceridae (23 species). Many of the identified species of macro-moths including Noctuidae, Pyraloidae and Lecithoceridae are known as the very newest one in Vietnam.
