        In this study, we selected a DC servo motor as an actuator of the marine diesel engine governor and constructed the position control system of the DC servo motor using the algorithm proposed by authors. Next, we proposed an another method to construct an adaptive control system for marine diesel engine by regarding the controlled system including the DC servo motor as a second order controlled system and verified the validity of this method through the real time control responses. Finally, the results have shown a good response characteristic

        This paper is an experimental study to investigate utility of ultrasonic treatment of fuel oil in diesel engine. Experiment was carrid out to clarify the effect of ultrsonic vibration on the characteristics of maximum pressure, fuel consumption ratio, smoke, BMEP and torque. The result obtained are as follows: 1. In the case of given ultrsonic vibration, the maximum pressure is increased in all experimental conditions. 2. In the case of given ultrsonic vibration, the decrease effect of fuel consumption rate is increased at low rpm. 3. The generation quantity of soots is increased according to load. In the case of given ultrsonic vibration, the decreased quantity of soots does not very according to load. 4. In the case of given ultrsonic vibration, the BMEP and torque are increased at low load.

        In this paper, combustion characteristics and engine performance varying with blending rate of fish oil using five test fuels, e.g.pure diesel oil and four types of sardine-oil-blended diesel oils, their blending rates by weight being 20%, 40%, 60% and 80% respectively, and operating condition of engine, were investigated experimentally both in the constant volume combustion bomb and in the engine. The results are summarized as follows: 1) In the bomb, the influence of temperature on ignition delay of sardine-oil-blended diesel oils was larger than that of pure diesel oil, and it tended to increase as the blending rate of fish oil increase sardine-oil-blended diesel oils. As far as the influence of pressure on ignition delay concerns, there was no significant difference with all the test fuels. 2) In the engine, the ignition delay of fish-oil- blended diesel oils was longer than that of pure diesel oil, and it tended to increase as the blending rate increases. In the bomb, the ignition delay in high temperature showed no significant difference between with pure diesel oil and with fish-oil-blended diesel oils, and it was especially short with 60% fish-oil-blended diesel oil. In low temperature, however, the delay became longer as the blending rate increase. 3) The combustion duration was shorter with fish-oil-blended diesel oils than with pure diesel oil and it became a little shorter as the blending rate increases. 4) The rate of fuel consumption showed no significant difference between with fish-oil-blended diesel oils and with prue diesel oil, although calorific value of fish oil was lower than that of diesel oil. 5) Smoke density in exhaust gas was lower with fish-oil-blended diesel oils than with pure diesel oil and the higher the blending rate was, the lower the smoke density became

        열선유속계를 이용하여 디이젤 기관 연소실내의 한점에서 유속을 측정한 결과는 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 연소실내의 유동은 cylinder의 원주방향의 속도 성분이 크며, 유속변화는 밸브 timing과 피스톤 속도등에 밀접한 관계가 있다. 2. 유속은 흡입시부터 증가하여 압축행정중 흡입밸브가 닫히는 60˚ABDC에서 최대치를 갖고 이후 피스톤의 속도가 감소함에 따라 유속도 감소하여 팽창행정중 배기 밸브가 열리는 120˚ATDC에서 다시 증가하였다. 3. 평균유속은 shroud 밸브 사용시가 no shroud 밸브 사용시보다 낮지만 shroud 밸브 사용시 흡입행정에서 난류강도가 가장 크게 나타났다. 4. 90˚shroud 밸브 사용시가 120˚shroud 밸브 사용시보다 난류강도는 더 크고, 90˚shroud의 180˚위치에서 난류강도가 제일 크게 나타났다.(이 논문의 결론부분임)

        국산 소형어선용 예연소실식 디이젤기관에 혼합연료유(정유+중유)를 사용할 경우 혼합연료유의 성질, 연소특성 및 기관성능에 관하여 실험한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 혼합연료유의 혼합비율(중량비율)이 증가함에 따라 비중은 선형적으로 증가하였고, 점도-온도 곡선은 Walther-ASTM 식과 일치하였으며, 착화성지수인 CCAI의 값은 기울기 1.0에 가까운 직선으로 증가하였다. 2) 동일운전조건에서 착화지연은 CCAI의 값이 810(혼합비율 60%)까지는 미소하게 증가하였으나, 그 이상의 값에서는 현저하게 증가하였다. 따라서, 혼합연료유의 착화성을 나타내는 CCAI의 값은 810 이상에서 적용하는 것이 타당하다. 3) 연소최고압력은 혼합비율 40%까지 증가하다가 감소하였으며, 그을음농도는 60%부터 현저하게 증가하였으므로, 본 실험에서 무그을음 연료비절감의 안전운전 혼합비율은 50%가 적당하다

        Ifis recommended that the injection rate should be accurate and reliable in the input data of the performance simulation in diesel engine. Matsuoka Sin improved W. Bosch's injection ratio measurement system. Matsuoka Sin reduced length of the test pipe and set the orifice. However, it was not measured accurately to measure the injection ratio due to reflection wave. In the present thesis, the improved measurement system with combination of the conventional W. Bosch type injection ratio measurement system and Matsuoka Sin type corrected W. Bosch type was practically made. The location of orifice and throttle valve was modified and set one more back pressure valve in order to reduce the effect of reflection wave. The results according to injection condition of multi-hole nozzle are following: 1. Measurement error of injection ratio measurement system in this thesis was ± 1 %, therefore, its reliability was good. 2. The form of injetion ratio is changed from trapezoidal shape to triangle shape with increase of revolution per minute when injection amount is constant. 3. In the case of constant rpm, the initial injection ratio is almost constant regardless of the amount, meanwhile the injection period becomes longer with increase of the amount. 4. The injection pressure of nozzle isn't largely influenced with injection ratio in the case of constant injection amount and rpm, otherwise the initial injection amount is increased by 3-4% when the injection pressure is low. 5. The injection ratio isn't nearly influenced with back pressure.

        (1) 디이젤기관용 대체연료로서 혼합유가 디이젤유의 연료에 대한 특성을 검토하였다. (2) 혼합유로서 디이젤기관을 운전할 경우 배기가스량은 디이젤유보다 평균 8% 정도 많음을 나타내었다. (3) 혼합유로서 디이젤기관을 운전할 경우 디이젤유에 비하여 연료소비량이 약 3% 정도 증가하였다. (4) 정미열효율에 있어서는 디이젤유와 혼합유는 거의 비슷한 상태를 나타내었다.

        To investigate the relation of NOx emission and consumption rate in a direct injection diesel engine with a multihole nozzle under same fuel consumption and rpm, a naphthyl ethylenediaming method on NO, emission and Tektronix oscilloscop on the indicator diagrams have been used. Comparisons of the NOx emission and fuel consumption rate made on various conditions have led to the fllowing results. 1. The higher the injection pressure in the later injection time the lower NOx emission and the fuel consumption rate have been attained. 2. By the change of nozzle hole diameter under the same injection pressure, the NOx emission was much more lowered in the small diameter than large one, but fuel consumption rate was in inverse proption to the NOx emission. 3. The effect of injection spray angle, 1ndn on NOx emission, fuel consumption rate under same injection time and injection pressure was neglectable.

        2016년부터 배출통제지역(ECA : Emission Control Atea)을 운항하는 선박에 대하여 배출되는 NOx(질소산화물) 및 SOx(황산화 물)의 배기량 감소규제가 강화되었다. 상기의 규제 물질 중 NOx를 제거하는 탈질장비 중 선택적 촉매 환원(SCR : Selectivity Catalytic Reduction) 시스템은 효율이 높고 상업적으로 많이 활용되고 있으나, 높은 온도에서 요소수가 활성화되는 단점이 있다. 이에 초미세기포를 이 용하여 낮은 온도에서도 반응할 수 있는 요소수 및 요소수 활성화 기기를 개발하여 상기의 문제점들을 최소화 할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 SCR 시스템의 효율성을 향상시키는 방안을 마련하기 위하여, ANSYS-CFX package를 이용한 전산유체역학(CFD : Computational fluid dynamics)기법을 사용하였다. Navier-Stokes 방정식을 해석의 지배방정식으로 적용하여 SCR 시스템의 점성유동해석 시뮬레이션을 수행하였 다. SCR 시스템의 형상은 CATIA V5를 사용하여 3D 모델링을 하였고, SCR 시스템의 효율성을 비교하기 위해 요소수 분사 노즐의 위치를 요소수 분사 노즐은 배기관의 입구로부터 1/3, 1/2, 2/3로 변경하며 확인하였다. 또한, 노즐의 분사구 수가 SCR 시스템의 효율에 미치는 영향 을 확인하기 위하여 분사구 수가 4, 6, 8개일 경우를 시뮬레이션 하여 비교․분석하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 배기관 입구에 가까울수록, 분사구 수가 많을수록 효율이 향상됨을 확인하였다.

        Diesel DeNOx experiments using the SNCR process were performed by directly injecting NH3 into a simulated engine cylinder (966 cm3) for which a diesel fuelled combustion-driven flow reactor was designed by simulating diesel engine geometry, temperature profiles, aerodynamics and combustion products. A wide range of air/fuel mixtures (A/F=20∼45) were combusted for oxidizing diesel flue gas conditions where an initial NOx levels were 250~900 ppm and molar ratios (β=NH3/NOx) ranged from 0.5∼2.0 for NOx reduction tests. Effective NOx reduction occurred over a temperature range of 1100∼1350 K at cylinder injections where about 34% NOx reduction was achieved with β=1.5 and cylinder cooling at optimum flow conditions. The effects of simulated engine cylinder and exhaust parts, initial NOx levels, molar ratios and engine speeds on NOx reduction potential are discussed following temperature gradients and diesel engine environments. A staged injection by NH3 and diesel fuel additive is tested for further NOx reduction, and more discussed for practical implication.
