        Korea has many test beds where various mobility services are provided by automated vehicles. The test beds are operated in their operational design domain (ODD). However, disengagement frequently occurs, even in the ODDs of automated vehicles. In particular, human drivers have to take control of the automated vehicles at SAE Level 3 whenever the vehicles cannot drive by themselves because of an emergency or unknown factors. This study analyzed the driving safety of right turning at signalized intersections where automated vehicles face selfdriving issues because of potential conflicts with other vehicles, crossing pedestrians, and geometric factors. To conduct this analysis, we categorized right-turning intersections into two types with right-turning lanes and channelization islands and divided them into three sections, with a total of six sections. Subsequently, the six sections were compared with each other by disengagements of the automated vehicles as the key index to investigate their self-driving safety. Their significant differences indicate that ODD-related variables must be considered when designing and updating target test beds for automated vehicles.

        늘어나는 교통 수요에 대응하기 위해 지하도로 건설이 추진 중이다. 지하도로 건설 시, 진출입부에서의 차량 간 합류 및 분류로 인해 교통정체 및 안전성 저하에 대한 우려가 제기된다. 교통정체가 빈번히 발생하는 경부고속도로 금토JCT-양재IC 구간에 서울-용인 지 하도로, 양재-한남 지하도로, 양재-고양 지하도로 건설이 예정되었다. 특정 구간에 다수의 지하도로 건설 시, 접속부 배치 및 위치에 따라 이동성 및 안전성이 변화할 것으로 고려된다. 본 연구에서는 서울-용인 지하도로와 양재-한남 지하도로, 양재-고양 지하도로에 대한 접속부 배치 및 위치에 따른 이동성 및 안전성 분석을 통해 교통혼잡 완화 및 교통안전이 증가하는 지하도로 연계 방안 도출하 였다. 본 연구에서는 지하도로 연계 방안별 이동성 및 안전성 분석을 위해 4가지 시나리오 (1안 : 지하도로 미시행, 2안 : 지하도로 미 연계, 3안 : 양재-고양 연계, 4안 : 양재-한남 연계)를 선정하였다. 교통 시뮬레이션을 활용해 지상도로 및 지하도로 네트워크를 구축 하고 지하도로 내 차량 주행행태를 구현하였다. 이동성은 평균 통행속도와 통과교통량비로 분석하였으며, 안전성은 상충률을 통해 분 석하였다. 이동성 분석결과, 지상도로 합류부에서는 시나리오 3안 (양재-고양 연계)이 지하도로에서 합류되는 교통량이 가장 적어 모 든 이동성 평가지표에서 가장 큰 이동성 개선 효과가 나타났다. 그러나, 지하도로 합류부에서는 시나리오 3안에 비해 시나리오 4안 (양재-한남 연계)이 이동성 개선 효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이는 유사 교통량 대비 차로수 증가 및 지상도로 합류부 정체의 영향인 것으로 분석된다. 안전성 분석결과, 지상도로 합류부에서는 시나리오 3안이 안전성이 높았으나 지하도로 합류부에서는 시나리오 4안이 안전성이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 시나리오별 교통혼잡 완화 및 교통안전 증진 효과를 정량화해 지하도로 연계 방안 결정을 위한 예비타당성 조사에 반영하는 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

        지하도로는 폐쇄적인 공간 구조와 내·외부 조도 차이로 인해 지상도로와 다른 교통 환경을 형성하며 이러한 특성은 교 통사고에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 특히 고속도로 터널에서 사고 발생 시 대형 인명 피해로 이어질 가능성이 크다는 점을 고려할 때 지하도로에서도 유사한 우려가 제기된다. 따라서 지하도로의 교통류 특성을 면밀히 분석하여 안전성을 평가하 고 사고 예방을 위한 효과적인 대책을 마련하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 서부간선 지하도로 성산 방면의 14개 VDS 검지기 데이터를 기반으로 지점별 속도 변동성과 교통사고 분석을 통해 안전성을 평가하였고 분석 결과의 시사점 을 바탕으로 지하도로 속도 관리 전략을 설계하였다. 먼저, VDS 검지기 지점별 속도 표준편차와 time-varying-volatility 산출 및 속도의 변동성과 교통사고 데이터 매칭을 통해 사고 개연성과 심각도를 분석하였다. 이후, 사후검정을 통해 속 도 및 속도 변동성 기준으로 동질적 부분집합을 도출하고 회귀분석을 통해 속도 변동성과 교통량·밀도 간의 관계를 규명 하여 속도 변동성을 최소화할 수 있는 최적의 교통량과 밀도를 산출하였다. 분석 결과, 속도 변동성이 큰 구간에서 사고 개연성과 심각도가 높게 나타났으며 지하도로에 구간단속을 적용할 경우 하류부에서 변동성이 증가하는 현상을 확인하 였다. 이를 바탕으로 위험 구간을 식별하고 해당 구간에 가변형 속도 제한 시스템을 적용한 로컬 속도 관리 전략을 제시 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 지하도로의 사고 예방 및 안전성 향상을 위한 실질적인 속도 관리 전략 설계에 기여할 수 있 을 것으로 기대된다.

        Due to the smoke generated during a fire in an underground parking lot, initial response is difficult, resulting in an increase in life and property damage. In this study, fire cases in underground parking lots were analyzed and the necessity of legal and institutional amendments was suggested to improve the installation of smoke removal facilities, sprinkler facilities, emergency outlet facilities, and connected water pipe facilities. First, it is necessary to improve the smoke removal facilities of apartment underground parking lots. Second, it is necessary to install wet sprinklers in underground parking lots only when it has a structure or device capable of preventing freezing. It is stipulated in a manner other than wet in the fire safety technology (NFTC 103) of sprinkler facilities. However, wet sprinklers may be installed only in places where there is no fear of freezing, or when a structure or device capable of preventing freezing has been used. Third, it is necessary to amend the "Firefighting Facility Installation and Management Act" so that the standards for installing emergency outlet facilities are not regulated according to the number of underground floors, but according to the sum of the floor areas of the underground floors.

        Apartments such as those on the 29th floor are generally classified as high-rise buildings; however, they may be excluded from certain safety regulations since they do not meet the legal definition of "high-rise" buildings. According to the Korean Building Act, buildings with 30 or more floors are typically regarded as high-rise buildings, warranting specific disaster prevention and safety standards. Nevertheless, buildings between 20 and 30 floors are often excluded from high-rise building regulations, which may lead to relatively insufficient safety standards and has been identified as a "blind spot in safety management." Enhancing appropriate safety facilities and strengthening regulations for such buildings is crucial, particularly in areas such as fire prevention, evacuation planning, and fire-fighting facilities. This study compares and examines the evacuation times of designated evacuation safety zones and emergency elevators in high-rise apartments as defined by the Building Act and in buildings constructed with floors between 20 and 30 through evacuation simulations.

        In order to solve the rapidly increasing domestic delivery volume and various problems in the recent metropolitan area, domestic researchers are conducting research on the development of “Urban Logistics System Using Underground Space” using existing urban railway facilities in the city. Safety analysis and scenario analysis should be performed for the safe system design of the new concept logistics system, but the scenario analysis techniques performed in previous studies so far do not have standards and are defined differently depending on the domain, subject, or purpose. In addition, it is necessary to improve the difficulty of clearly defining the control structure and the omission of UCA in the existing STPA safety analysis. In this study, an improved scenario table is proposed for the AGV horizontal transport device, which is a key equipment of an urban logistics system using underground space, and a process model is proposed by linking systematic STPA safety analysis and scenario analysis, and UCA and Control Structure Guidelines are provided to create a safety analysis.

        Since cranes are a kind of complex human-machine systems, it is almost impossible to completely secure safety with current technologies. Therefore, managerial interventions to prevent human errors are needed for safely operating a crane. The Occupational Safety and Health law states that cabin-type crane operators should have crane drivers’ licence and crane-related operators (e.g., pendent-type crane operators, slinging workers) should take a special safety training. However, statistics on industrial accidents showed that fatalities due to crane accidents (185 accidents occurred during 2013~2017) were the highest among hazardous machinery and equipment. To effectively control the crane-related accidents, voices of crane workers need to be analyzed to investigate the current status. This study surveyed perceived causes of crane accidents and status of special safety training for crane workers of 387. The survey revealed that 24.3% of the respondents experienced crane accidents and 31.4% eye-witnessed crane accidents. 79% of the respondents pointed human errors such as improper crane operation and improper slinging as the first cause. Lastly, only 16.7% of the respondents took a professional special safety training; but the rest took lecture-based or incomplete education. The findings of the present study can be applied to improve crane-related policies and special safety training systems.

        In order to provide basic data for preparing management standards and to verify the safety of the Chinese oak mushroom-derived moisturizing medium—which is synthesized and imported in large quantities—the presence of 321 residual pesticides, 7 heavy metals, and 3 radioactive materials was analyzed in the moisturizer samples. Examination of residual pesticides in seven moisturizing medium samples prepared using the Chinese oak mushroom and three domestic sawdust samples used for mushroom culture revealed the presence of cypermethrin and iprodione in three moisturizer samples, but the contents of these pesticides were below the standard limits. Zn was detected in ten samples, Cu was detected in nine samples, and Ni was detected in four samples, but their contents were below the standard limits. Pb, Cd, Cr, and Hg were not detected in any sample. No radioactive materials were detected in the samples. In addition, fruiting bodies of the oak mushroom were observed in each medium. Examination did not reveal the presence of any residual pesticides or harmful compounds. In this study, the use of the moisturizing medium prepared using the Chinese oak mushroom was found to be safe. As residual pesticides, heavy metals, and radioactivity—even in trace amounts—remain concentrated in the human body, continuous verification of the safety of hazardous substances and pollutants during the systematic cultivation and management of these mushrooms is required.

This study proposed a plan to secure system safety through safety analysis based on operational concept definition and scenario analysis by applying model-based perspective analysis to the system under development.

        In this study, algorithms for analyzing the torsion of buildings under earthquake excitation are developed. The algorithm and formulations to account for the torsional angle are verified by analyzing the seismic acceleration time history data. The method was applied to the reference buildings to examine their operation and usability. The reference application demonstrated that the noise-canceling scheme successfully overcame various obstacles in the field measurements. The developed method is expected to be used as a tool to support a loss assessment system for determining the direction and priority of disaster response in the event of an earthquake.

        최근 지구온난화에 따른 기후변화에 따라 과거와는 다른 양상의 기상 변화가 발생하고 있으며, 해수 온도 상승으로 태풍의 대형화와 강도증가가 발생하고 있다. 이에 따라 선박이 접안 중 갑작스러운 돌풍 발생시 선박의 계류안전성 확보를 위해 사용할 수 있는 돌풍 대비용 직주의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 항만 및 어항 설계기준상 곡주 및 직주 배치 기준을 분석하고 계류안전성 평가 프로그램을 사용하여 12개 시나리오에 따른 직주 사용시 계류안전성 민감도 분석을 수행하였다. 평가 결과, 돌풍 대비용 직주에 선수 및 선미 브레스트라인을 추가하였을 경우, 일반적인 형태의 계류라인 배치에 비해 계류요소값이 감소하는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구 결과 는 접안선박 및 항만의 특성을 고려한 돌풍 대비용 직주 배치를 제안하기 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있으며, 부두에서 직주의 배치는 돌풍 발생시 선박운항자 측면에서 선박의 계류안전성을 확보하기 위한 효율적인 방안이 될 것으로 사료된다.

        국내 연안의 카페리선박의 고박안전성은 화물의 중량과 적재된 위치에서 발생할 수 있는 선체가속도를 기반으로 한 작용 외력과 고박장치의 고박력 비교를 통해 평가하고 있다. 고박안전성 평가에 기본이 되는 국내 기준상의 선체가속도는 선박의 특성 및 항해조건 의 반영이 없이 적용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 연안 카페리선박의 선체가속도를 분석하고자 부산-제주를 통항하는 DWT 6,800톤급 선속 15.5 knots의 선박을 기준으로 선체의 4개 지점에서 총 12회의 가속도 계측을 수행하였고, 항해구역 인근 기상관측 부이의 데이터를 수집하였다. 한정된 계측 결과에 대한 이론적 비교 분석을 위하여 수치 시뮬레이션을 통하여 주파수 응답 해석을 통한 RAO를 해석하였고, RAO 결과를 바탕으로 4개 지점에 대한 가속도 해석을 수행하였다. 가속도 비교 결과 위치별 정도의 차이는 있으나 Y축 가속도의 경우 해석 1.81 m/s2, 계측 1.47 m/s2로 해석 시뮬레이션 결과가 0.34 m/s2 높게 분석되었고, 고박안전성 평가기준 8.59m/s2와 비교해 볼 때 해석은 22 % 수 준, 계측은 18 % 수준으로 분석되었다.

        This study analyzed the evacuation time in indoor stadiums when exits that automatically open/close when the fire sensor is triggered are installed as a means to improve the problem of closing certain exits. Firstly, when spectators on the 2nd floor stands exit through the 1st floor exits, the RSET of all inhabitants was 529.8 seconds when the automatic opening/closing exits are broken and employees are not present. Secondly, when spectators on the 2nd floor stands exit through the 1st floor exits, the RSET of all inhabitants was 445 seconds when the automatic opening/closing exits with 750mm width are working but employees are not present. Lastly, when spectators on the 2nd floor stands exit through the 1st floor exits, the RSET of all spectators was 337 seconds when the automatic opening/closing exits with 1,500mm width are working and employees are present. As a result, it was revealed that the evacuation time is shortened when the automatic opening/closing exits are working. Additional comparative studies with actual simulations of people evacuating an indoor stadium and firefighting simulations considering smoke flow are necessary.

        PURPOSES : This paper aims to summarize the findings of studies related to driving safety in long tunnels, and based on these findings, evaluate the risk in driving safety in consecutive tunnels. METHODS: After evaluating the risk in consecutive tunnels, it was verified that driving safety depends on the tunnel length of the consecutive tunnels and the interval between the tunnels. The experimental devices used in this study were a virtual driving simulator and PolyG-I system, measuring, driving speed and among driver's brain waves, theta wave that represents drowsiness or inner conscious states. RESULTS: The results of experiment I showed that, in consecutive tunnels, the variation of speed was higher and the theta wave increased at similar points in comparison with that for long tunnels, demonstrating the risk in consecutive tunnels. The results of experiment II revealed that the variation of speed was the highest in the shortest tunnel (250 m) and the risk of overspeeding was the highest in the longest tunnel (900 m). Additionally, among the consecutive tunnels, the longer tunnels significantly increased the overall theta wave in the tunnels, increasing the risk of drowsy driving. CONCLUSIONS: Of the three scenarios, it was concluded that safety was highest when the tunnel length was set to 600 m.
