The findings were summarized as follows. The safety check by manufacturer showed that 6 of 13 companies are over the average occurrence of defects. It was expected that there would be a difference between manufacturing technology capability and production system of each manufacturer. Consequently, manufacturers should institutionally improve and strengthen certification items for the upward standardization of safety certification before factory. Second, the safety check by year showed that the results of this study accord with those of previous studies on defect time. Consequently, manufacturers should classify the 3-year-old equipment for vehicle-mounted MEWP into a special check subject to do a nondestructive test according to proven results, and also reflect the test in a safety test system to do regular preventive activities of equipment defects. Third, the safety check by part showed that the boom and outrigger parts of vehicle-mounted MEWP have the most defects. Stress concentration resulted in defects as the boom part was most frequently operated in the structural parts for a real work. To prevent this, it is suitable to improve the hardness of boom materials. The outrigger part needs improvement in safety devices with materials. As an outrigger supports the overturning moment of equipment, it is most affected by its load based on the operating radius, resulting in fatigue crack.

선박의 대형화, 고속화 및 선종의 다양화는 운송수단 중 해양 운송수단의 비중을 크게 증가시켰다. 선박사고 유형 중 기관손상 다음으로 충돌이 사고발생 빈도가 높았으며, 인적 요인에 의한 사고비율이 높은 것으로 보고되고 있다. 선박 충돌사고는 한 가지 원인요소로 발생하는 경우보다 복합적인 원인요소로 발생하게 되며 여러 개의 원인요소를 재결서를 통하여 원인요소를 조사할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 해양안전심판원에서 제공하는 재결서 중 선박 충돌사고에 대해서 인적 요인을 바탕으로 선박 충돌사고의 원인요소를 도출하였으며, 상관관계분석을 통하여 원인요소들을 규명하였다. 또한, 선박충돌을 인지한 시점에서부터 충돌이 일어난 시점까지 걸린 시간을 바탕으로 충돌을 피할 수 없는 충돌시점에서의 발생되는 주요 원인요소와 20분 내에 발생하는 선박 충돌사고의 원인요소를 분석하여 선박 충돌사고를 예방하고자 하였다. 상관분석은 상용소프트웨어인 Statistical Package for Social Sciences(SPSS Ver21.0)을 사용하였다. 시간 분석은 재결서를 바탕으로 상대방 선박을 인지한 시점에서부터 충돌이 일어난 시점까지 걸린 시간을 분석하였다. 선박 충돌사고의 원인요소는 2가지 이상에 의해 발생한 사고가 많았으며, 상대선박 감시소홀은 항해업무 외 다른 작업과 높은 상관관계가 있었다. 충돌을 피할 시간 여력이 없는 경우(0분)이 36.1 %이며, 경계 또는 상대 선박 감시소홀과 졸음항해 또는 음주가 원인요소이었다.

PURPOSES: There are many recently constructed roundabouts in Jeollabuk-do province. This study analyzed how roundabouts reduce the risk of accidents and improve safety in the province. METHODS: This study analyzed safety improvement at roundabouts by using an accident prediction model that uses an Empirical Bayes method based on negative binomial distribution. RESULTS : The results of our analysis model showed that the total number of accidents decreased from 130 to 51. Roundabouts also decreased casualties; the number of casualties decreased from 7 to 0 and the seriously wounded from 87 to 16. The effectiveness of accident reduction as analyzed by the accident prediction model with the Empirical Bayes method was 60%. CONCLUSIONS : The construction of roundabouts can bring about a reduction in the number of accidents and casualties, and make intersections safer.

This study of small ＆ Medium-Sized construction sites construction disaster prevention technology conduction-site visits from the map results report by the inspector on-site advice and technical guidance for the analysis of deficiencies and potential construction of disaster revealed the potential factors causing an accident as follows. As a results, Should not be a once a month visits. Therefore should be changed at least twice a month to help prevent accidents of this system is to be judged.

Safety accident rate of small-medium construction site is high. because of lack of safety management system, lack of safety management capacity, lack of investment for safety, Owner's insufficient awareness about safety. In order to improve this, Currently in Occupational Safety and Health Act, Construction site of amounts more than 300 million won less than 120 billion (architectural),150 billion won(civil) mandatory subject to the technical guidance on construction accident prevention. Context of construction accident causes with construction accident rate relationship analysis and case analysis of technical guidance, through a survey of stakeholders in the technical guidance drawn the problems of the construction accident prevention technical guidance system and ways to improve on this.

PURPOSES : Low visibility caused by dark surroundings at nighttime affects the likelihood of accidents, and various efforts, such as installing road safety facilities, have been made to reduce accidents at night. Despite these efforts, the nighttime severity index (SI) in Korea was higher than the daytime SI during 2011-2014. This study determined the factors affecting daytime and nighttime accident severity through a discriminant analysis. METHODS: Discriminant analysis. RESULTS: First, drowsiness, lack of attention, and lighting facilities affected both daytime and nighttime accident severity. Accidents were found to be caused by a low ability to recognize the driving conditions and a low obstacle avoidance capability. Second, road conditions and speeding affected only the daytime accident severity. Third, failure to maintain a safe distance significantly affected daytime accident severity and nonsignificantly affected nighttime accident severity. The majority of such accidents were caused by rear-end collisions of vehicles driving in the same direction; given the low relative speed difference in such cases, the shock imparted by the accidents was minimal. CONCLUSIONS: Accidents caused by a failure to maintain a safe distance has lower severity than do accidents caused by other factors.
