The present study was undertaken to investigate the quality characteristics of Korean Woori black pig (KWP) bellies and loins by different slaughter weight (SW) groups. The loin and belly samples collected from KWPs with different body weights (50, 75, 90, 105, and 120 kg) at 24 h post-mortem were used in the present investigation. The samples were analyzed for quality traits, fatty acid profiles, and volatile flavor compounds. Results showed that the fat content of the loin (8.64%) and belly samples (46.78%) was significantly higher in the 120 kg SW group compared to those of other SW groups (p<0.05). However, a lower protein content (12.20-12.67%) was found in the belly cuts of the heavier SW groups (105-120 kg) compared to those of the lighter SW groups (p<0.05). The lowest cooking loss (24.34%) was found in the loin cuts of the 120 kg SW group (p<0.05). Both the loin and belly cuts were observed to be redder in color with increasing SW (p<0.05). Higher oleic acid (C18:1, n9) and total monounsaturated fatty acid content and lower linolenic acid(C18:3, n3) and total polyunsaturated fatty acid content were observed in both cuts of the 120 kg SW group (p<0.05). Out of the flavor compounds identified, 11 and 17 compounds in the loin and belly, respectively, were associated with the SW. An increase in the SW resulted in increased concentrations of C18:1n9- and amino acid-derived flavor compounds. Overall, the meat samples of the heavier SW groups (120 kg) exhibited better quality and higher concentrations of volatile compounds associated with pleasant flavors. However, the meat of the 120 kg SW group also contained a much higher fat level (8.64 and 46.78% in the loin and belly, respectively) that may result in high trimming loss and hence a high rejection risk by consumers.
일반적으로 건물수량과 암이삭비율을 사일리지용 옥수수(Zea mays L.)의 생산성 비교에서 중요한 요인으로 생각하고 있다. 그러나 사일리지용 옥수수의 품종 비교에는 사초생산성 뿐만아니라 경엽의 품질도 중요하다. 그래서 본 시험은 정부장려 8품종을 한달 간격으로 파종하였을 때 사일리지용 옥수수의 부위별 사료가치를 비교하기 위하여 수행하였다. ADF, NDF, ADL, hemicellulose 및 cellulose 함량은 경엽, 암이삭 및 전식물체 모두에서 적기파종시가 만기파종시보다 낮았다(P<0.01). 공시 품종간에는 경엽과 전식물체에서 섬유소 함량의 차이가 있었다(P<0.01). 파종기간 TDN 및 N E 1 는 경엽 및 전식물체에서 유의적인 차이가 있었다. 공시품종간 TDN 및 N E 1 는 경엽, 암이삭 및 전 식물체 모두에서 유의적인 차이가 있었다. 전 식물체에서는 공시품종중 'G4624', 'P3352' 및 'P3394'의 TDN 및 N E 1 가 다른 품종보다 높았다(P<0.05). In vitro 건물 소화율은 적기파종이 만기파종보다 높았으며(P<0.05), 또한 공시품종간에도 유의적인 차이가 있었다. ln vitro 건물소화율과 NDF, ADF, hemicellulose 및 cellulose의 상관계수는 각각 − 0.82 ∗ ∗ , − 0.7 ∗ ∗ , − 0.63 ∗ ∗ 및 − 0.69 ∗ ∗ 이었다. 이상의 연구결과를 볼 때 사일리지용 옥수수의 사료가치를 높이기 위해서는 적기파종이 옥수수의 사료가치를 증가시킬 수 있었다. 그리고 품종간 비교에서는, 특히, 경엽과 전식물체의 사료가치가 차이가 있었다. 그러므로 사일리지용 옥수수의 품종 선발에는 경엽과 전식물체의 사료가치도 중요한 요인이라고 생각된다.
In this study, CO2 reduction type quaternary component high fluidity concrete was produced with more than 80%r eduction in cement quantity to increase the use of industrial by product sand enhance construction performance, there by reducing CO2 emissions. Furthermore, theq uality properties, and CO2 reduction performance of this concrete were evaluated. As a result of the quality evaluation of quaternary component blended high fluidity concrete with CO₂reduction, the target performance could be achieved with a 80% or more reduction of cement quantity by mixing a large amount of industrial byproducts. The required performance level was obtained even though the flow, mechanics, and durability characteristics decreased a little compared to conventional mix.
A study on the variational characteristics of water quality and phytoplankton biomass by principal component analysis(PCA) was carried out in Kogum-sudo from February to October in 1993.
We analyzed PCA on biological factors such as chlorophyll α and phytoplankton cell numbers for centric and pennate diatoms, phytoflagellates, and total phytoplankton as well as physico-chemical factors as water temperature, salinity, transparency, dissolved oxygen(DO), saturation of DO, apparent oxygen utilization(AOU), chemical oxygen demand(COD), nutrient (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate and silicate), N/P ratio and suspended solid(SS).
The source of nutrients supply depended on the mineralization of organic matters and inputs of seawater from outside rather than runoff of freshwater.
The phytoplankton biomass was changed within short interval period by nutrients change. And it was controlled by the combination of several environmental factors, especially of light intensity, ammonia and phosphate.
The marine environmental characteristics were determined by the mineralization of organic matters in winter, by runoff of freshwater including high nutrients concentration in spring, by ammonia uptake and high phytoplankton productivity in summer, and phosphate supplied input seawater from outside of Kogum -sudo in autumn.
And Kogum-sudo was separated with 2 regions by score distributions of PCA. That is to say, one region was middle parts of straits which was characterized by the mixing seawater and the accumulated organic matters, other one region was Pungnam Bay and the water around Kogum Island which was done by high phytoplankyon biomass and productivity year-round.
This study was conducted to evaluate water quality utilizing principal component analysis in the Nakdong River Estuary. From the results of analysis, water quality in the Nakdong River Estuary could be explained up to 65.3 percentage by three factors which were included in river loading(wastes from the Nakdong River and rainfalls ; 39.1%), sediment resuspension(13.7%) and metabolism(12.5%). In the eastern part of estuary in flowing the Nakdong River, river loading factor score(factor 1)was higher than that in western part. Sediment resuspension factor score(factor 2) was high in shallow water, while metabolism factor score(factor 3) was high in deeper water. For seasonal variations of factors score, factor 1 was highly related to rainfall season.
