        본 연구는 여수 인근 13개 무인도 주변 해역의 굴 Crassostrea gigas (n=410, SH 43.3±11.4 mm) 에서 확인된 인터섹스 현상을 보고하고자 하였다. 전체 성비(암:수)는 1:1.1이었으나 채집 정점 별로 성비의 차이를 보였다. 가장도, 소경도, 중삼도에서는 암컷이 65% 이상의 높은 비율을 보 였으며, 송도, 초도, 부서도에서는 수컷이 65% 이상의 높은 비율을 나타냈다. 전체 intersexuality 는 약 12.8%로 암컷에서 약 34.7%, 수컷에서 약 64.3%로 수컷에서 높았다. Intersexuality는 가막만의 초도에서 약 43.8%로 가장 높았다. 조직학적으로 인터섹스는 intrafollicular type, interfollicular type, mixed type의 세 가지 형태로 나눌 수 있었다. 이들 세 가지 형태 가운데 intrafollicular type이 약 81.6%로 가장 우세하였다. 본 연구에서 보고된 굴의 인터섹스 원인에 관해서는 추후 세부적인 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

        Culturally, it is wonderful that they try to integrated their ordinary life on the earth into heavenly spiritual life through their funeral rituals and song so called Yeong-Jang-Sori as same context as in the Pacific. During life, they eat traditional bread ( Bing-Teok) and drink traditional liquor (O-Me-Gi Ssol) and wear persimmon-dyeing Gal-ot healthily and they meet each other in the heaven eternally through happy dying. We are evidently sensitive to the unique cultural heritage of the island. UNESCO’s mission is the promotion of peace amongst peoples and its cultural heritage is also dedicated to working with indigenous peoples’ on their eco-friendlly knowledge of a sustainable planet. As Jeju Island is inscribed in part as both a World Heritage Site and a UNESCO Biosphere, it is important to give due consideration to the natural and cultural heritage of the island, as seen and experienced by the islanders. As such, if there is something useful we can discuss, for example the recognition of the special relationship between Jeju islanders and sacred natural sites on the island.

        Ms. Hee Choon Oh was a Jeju Haenyeo(woman diver) and one of the few surviving victims of the Jeju 4.3 (1948). As a Haenyeo: Jeju society was very poor at the time during the Japanese colonial period and the division of the two Korea, especially after the Korean War, so she had to work regardless of gender. It was hard to go into the sea, but it was the only thing to support my family. In retrospect, Going out to work in the sea was like a life-threatening adventure every day. While there were many emergency moments, She becomes one with the sea and forgot all the pain. After having spent a lot of time together with the sea, I had to stop working as a Haenyeo because it was hard to take care of nine children after having heart surgery. I was able to receive Honorary Haenyeo through continuous exchanges and dedication to the society. As a victim of the Jeju 4.3: I had no choice but to explain it why I had to do work as a Haenyeo and to understand my life. I am a woman who chose the job of Haenyeo, but I have lived through the pain of the dark modern and contemporary history of Korea. The unfair one-year prison life that I wanted to hide even from my children hurt me all my life. Over the past 70 years, sharing pain with the sea, neighbors, and family, serving the region, and hopefully waiting for a better society and justice to come. and finally It was not until 2019, 70 years after 1948, that I was officially acquitted by a Korean court. I regained my honor as a Haenyeo and was able to get rid of my deep sadness.

        전남 서남해(진도·완도·강진·고흥·여수)의 여러 도서지역을 조사하여 식생을 유형화했고, 난온대 상록활엽수림의 우점 도·출현종수를 기준으로 난온대림의 훼손등급 평가기준을 제안했다. 이를 통해 훼손등급별 복원유형과 복원기법을 제시하여, 도서지역의 난온대림 복원계획을 수립하는 데 활용하고자 했다. 307개의 식생조사 데이터를 이용해 TWINSPAN기법으 로 식생유형화를 시도했는데 8개 식물군락으로 구분됐고, 각 군락별 상록활엽수종의 출현 특성을 파악했다. 군락은 해발 86.6m의 사면하부에 위치했고 참식나무와 구실잣밤나무가 우점했다. 군락Ⅱ․Ⅲ은 해발 10.5∼22.5m 이하의 저지대 해안가에 출현하는 군락으로서 후박나무·생달나무·참식나무·구실잣밤나무가 우점했다. 군락 Ⅳ·Ⅴ는 해발 71.9∼ 153.4m 사이의 사면 하부·중부에 분포한 군락으로서 구실잣밤나무가 우점하는 군락이었다. 군락Ⅵ는 해발 166.9m의 사면 하부·중부에 위치하며 교목층과 아교목층에 참식나무가 우점했고, 마지막 군락 Ⅶ ․ Ⅷ은 해발 187.8∼246.2m의 사면중부에 붉가시나무·참가시나무가 출현했다. 정리하면, 후박나무·생달나무·참식나무 등이 우점한 상록활엽수림은 주로 해안가 저지대에 출현했고, 구실잣밤나무군락은 이 군락보다 더 높은 내륙지역에 분포했다. 이 두 군락보다 더 높은 곳의 내륙 고지대에는 붉가시나무·참가시나무 등의 가시나무류 군락이 나타났다. 상록활엽수의 교목층 상대우점치와 교목성 상록활엽수 종수에 따라 훼손등급을 0∼Ⅴ로 구분했다. 그 훼손등급에 따라 복원유형(보존형, 유도형, 갱신형, 조성형)과 복원기법을 제안했다.

        본 연구는 전자 센서를 이용하여 다양한 추출방법에 따른 무 추출물들의 향미 특성을 조사하였다. 무의 신맛은 무 흰색 부위의 열수 추출물이 6.9의 센서 값을 나타내어 가장 높았다. 신맛은 8.0의 센서 값을 나타내어 무 초록색 부위의 콜드 브루 추출물이 가장 높았다. 감칠맛은 무 흰색 부위의 열수 추출물이 8.3의 센서 값을 나타내어 가장 높았다. 단맛은 무 초록색 부위의 콜드 브루 추출물이 6.8 의 센서 값으로 가장 높은 값을 나타내었고, 쓴맛은 무 초록색 부위의 고온 가압 추출물이 7.5의 센서 값으로 가장 높은 값을 나타내었다. 전자코를 이용하여 무 추출물들에서 총 16개의 휘발성 향기성분을 확인하였다. 무 추출물 속 휘발성 향기성분들 중 methanethiol이 주요한 향기성분으로 확인되었다. 본 연구에서 확인된 결과들은 무 추출 물의 향미 특성에 대한 기초 연구 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

        PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to evaluate an asphalt mixture via field application to utilize basalt aggregates produced on Jeju Island for a warm mix asphalt (WMA). METHODS : Using commercially available WMA additives, an indoor experiment is conducted on low- and high-void aggregates among basalt aggregates on Jeju Island. The physical properties of the WMA mixture are evaluated using one solid type and two liquid types of WMA additive. To evaluate the applicability of the WMA additives, air void, saturation, aggregate void, Marshall stability, flow number, indirect tensile strength, and toughness tests are performed. For the field application of WMA using basalt aggregates, three types of pavements (HMA, WMA-Solid, and WMA-liquid) are constructed. When applying the pavements in the field, an anti-stripping agent is incorporated to improve the water resistance while considering the characteristics of the basalt aggregate. Samples are acquired via plant and field coring to evaluate the properties of the materials applied in the field. RESULTS : In the indoor test for analyzing the applicability of the commercialized WMA additives to basalt aggregates, all tests except the indirect tensile strength test show results that satisfy the standards. All test results, including that from the indirect tensile strength test, satisfy the standard values in the test that uses the sample material obtained from the plant. Similarly, in the test with field cores, all test results satisfy the standard values. Therefore, the experimental value in the field application is generally higher than the test value in the indoor experiment. It is inferred that this is due to the difference between the basalt aggregates used in the indoor and field experiments, as well as the addition of the anti-stripping agent. CONCLUSIONS : Basalt aggregates produced on Jeju Island can be used for WMA pavements, as demonstrated via indoor experiments and field applications. However, owing to the characteristics of basalt aggregates, a method for improving water resistance should be considered, and tests to determine the indirect tensile strength should be performed using various basalt aggregates. In addition, because various basalt aggregates exist owing to the diverse geology characteristics of Jeju Island, they should be evaluated via more experiments and field applications.

        In this study, using the concept of perezhivanie as an analytical tool, we were trying out new ways to investigate L2 identity taking the peripheral educational context into account. We examined how two graduates from non-academic high schools perceived their peripheral school situation through their perezhivanie, and described how this situation affected the individual trajectories of L2 identity development as well. When two students immersed themselves in marginalized classroom contexts, they have experienced academic stigma in the context of classroom community. Moreover, they all experienced emotional conflicts related to English learning. Besides, they struggled over deficit remedial L2 identity, entailing identity tensions. As they attempted to reconcile the contradictions between themselves and their circumstances, their perezhivanie made their social situation of development differently. Depending on how the contradiction was being emotionally experienced through the prism of each student’s perezhivanie, the same contradiction had different meanings, led to different reactions, and had differing impacts on their L2 identity.

        The purpose of this study was to analyze laws and policies related to personal mobility (PM) in foreign countries, review Korean laws, hear opinions from experts on the orientation of personal mobility devices to propose a framework for the safe use and activation of personal mobility devices. At the local government level, the following were suggested as matters that Jeju Island should pursue with interest and should be stipulated in the ordinance. First, designate the availability of personalized mobile devices. Second, promote the availability of personal mobile devices. Third, establishing a basic plan for activating the use of personal mobile devices to ensure safety. Fourth, support for personal mobile driving roads. Fifth, the restriction and prohibition of traffic of personalized mobile devices and the content regulations for time designation and management. Sixth, regulations on the contents of regulations such as prohibition of parking and illegal parking, prohibition and processing of long-term neglect, etc. Seventh, designation and operation of a special zone for individual vehicles. Eighth, various rules for driving.

        도시화로 인한 열섬현상은 매년 심각해지고 있으며 도시 내의 온도증가로 인한 피해 또한 증가되고 있다. 최근 도시녹지 조성을 통한 온도저감이 도시열섬현상의 해결방안으로 부각되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 도시 공원녹지의 지형적 특징에 따른 주변 온도저감 효과를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 위성영상을 통해 서울시의 지표면 온도를 구축하였으며 서울시 내의 공원녹지와 녹지 주변에 대한 온도 분석을 실시하였다. 또한 유사한 주변 환경을 가진 공원녹지들을 추출하 고 각 녹지의 지형 요소에 따른 주변 온도저감 효과 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 녹지의 고도범위, 부피, 경사도가 증가함에 따라 주변 온도저감효과도 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 향후 공원조성 시 지형적 요소 고려 뿐만 아니라 도시계획 차원에서의 바람길 조성 정책에도 영향을 줄 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

        The distribution of tidal current and tidal induced residual current, topographical eddies and tidal residual circulation in the waters surrounding the Geumo Island-An Island channel were identified through numerical model experiments and vorticity balance analysis. Tidal current flows southwest at flood and northeast at ebb along the channel. The maximum flow velocity was about 100-150 cm/s in neap and spring tide. During the flood current in the neap tide, clockwise small eddies were formed in the waters west of Sobu Island and southwest of Daebu Island, and a more grown eddy was formed in the southern waters of Geumo Island in the spring tide. A small eddy that existed in the western waters of Chosam Island during the ebb in neap tide appeared to be a more grown topographical eddy in the northeastern waters of Chosam Island in spring tide. Tidal ellipses were generally reciprocating and were almost straight in the channel. These topographical eddies are made of vorticity caused by coastal friction when tidal flow passes through the channel. They gradually grow in size as they are transported and accumulated at the end of the channel. When the current becomes stronger, the topographic eddies move, settle, spread to the outer sea and grow as a counterclockwise or clockwise tidal residual circulation depending on the surrounding terrain. In the waters surrounding the channel, there were counterclockwise small tidal residual circulations in the central part of the channel, clockwise from the northeast end of the channel to northwest inner bay of An Island, and clockwise and counterclockwise between Daebu Island and An Island. The circulation flow rate was up to 20-30 cm/s. In the future, it is necessary to conduct an experimental study to understand the growth process of the tidal residual circulation in more detail due to the convergence and divergence of seawater around the channel.
