경기도농업기술원에서 2013년도에 개발한 ‘Orange Dream’품종은 적색 홑꽃형 산티니계 스프레이 국화 ‘Amelie Pink’품종을 모본(♀)으로 하고 생육이 우수한 연분홍색 홑꽃형 스프레이 국화 ‘Crangball’ 품종을 부본(♂)으로 2008년에 교배하여 육성되었다. 2009년에 실생을 양성한 후2010년부터 2013년까지 자연, 전조, 차광재배작형별 특성검정을 거치고 2013년 재배농가, 소비자, 육묘업체의 기호도 조사를 통해 개화특성과 기호도가 우수한 GCS08-29-17(Gyeongkyo B1-24) 계통을 최종 선발하여 ‘OrangeDream’로 명명하였다. 2013년 12월 27일에 국립종자원에 품종보호출원(출원 2013-577)하고 2015년 6월 9일에품종보호권이 등록되었다(등록번호 제 5588호). ‘OrangeDream’ 품종은 주황색 홑꽃형 스프레이 품종으로 단일처리 후 개화 소요일수가 자연개화작형과 봄작형 재배 시49일, 여름작형 재배 시 56일로 여름작형 재배 시 개화소요일수가 길어지는 경향이 있으나 연중재배가 가능하며, 특히 저온기에 재배 시 신장성과 화색발현이 우수한 품종이다. 자연재배 작형에서 절화장은 86.7cm로 대비품종 88.7cm보다 약간 작으나 억제재배 작형에서는93.8cm로 대비품종 89cm보다 길게 자라는 특징이 있다.착화수는 22.8개로 대비품종보다 10.4개 더 많고, 꽃의직경은 5.5cm로 대비품종과 같다. 꽃잎수는 24.9매, 줄기굵기는 5.9mm로 대비품종과 비슷하거나 같다. 흰녹병에강한 저항성이 있어 저온기 재배 시 유리하며 절화수명이 22일로 길어 꽃꽂이 및 꽃다발 제작 등에 적합하다.

2003년도에 오렌지색의 스프레이 'Pinocchio' 품종을 모본으로 다화성인 황색의 스프레이 'Flair' 품종을 부본으로 인공교배 하였다. 2004년부터 2005년까지 파종을 실시하여 177개체의 실생을 획득하여 이들을 대상으로 2006년부터 2008년 까지 3차에 거쳐 특성검정을 실시한 후 최종 특성검정 단계에서 기호도 조사를 실시한 결과 최종선발된 '원교 D1-506'을 2008년 농촌진흥청 농작물 직무육성 신품종 선정위원회를 거쳐 '체리티'로

2002년도에 오렌지색의 스프레이 'Macarena' 품종을 모본으로 다화성인 황색의 스프레이 'Lion Sunshine' 품종을 부본으로 인공교배 하였다. 2003~2004년에 파종을 실시하여 517개체의 실생을 획득하여 이들을 대상으로 2005~2007년까지 3차에 거쳐 특성검정을 실시한 후 최종 특성검정 단계에서 기호도 조사를 실시한 결과 최종 선발된 '원교 D1-501' 을 "모닝스타" 로 명명하였다. "모닝스타"의 화색은 오렌지색으로 RHS 칼

절화장미 신품종 "피치푸딩"품종육성은 향기가 우수하고 절화수명이 긴 스탠다드 장미 품종육성을 목표로 2000년도에 적색의 스탠다드 '레드산드라'를 모본으로 향기가 있는 백분홍색의 스탠다드 '도로레스'를 부본으로 인공교배하여 2001-2002년에 271개체의 실생을 획득하여 이들을 대상으로 2003-2006년까지 3차에 거쳐 특성검정을 실시한후 최종선발된 '원교D1-72'를 "피치푸딩"으로 명명하였다. "피치푸딩"의 화색은 오렌지색으로 RHS 칼라챠트번호

A new spray chrysanthemum cultivar, 'Orange Memory' was released by National Horticultural Research Institute (NHRI), Rural Development Administration (RDA), in 2006. The cross was made in 2003 between '02B1-525', a breeding line of NHRI and '02B1-493', a breeding line of NHRI. After evaluation for the characteristics including shading culture in summer and retarding culture in spring and consecutive selection from 2002 to 2005, final selection was made. The natural flowering time of "Orange Memory" is Early November, but year-round flowering is possible by shading and illumination. It has semi-double type flowers with orange color and shows resistant to white rust and vigorous growth. The diameter of flower is 5.3 cm. The number of flowers per stem is 13.5 and number of petals per flower is 59.0. The days to flower under short day treatment is about 64 and its vase life is 20 days in autumn season.

A new spray chrysanthemum cultivar, 'Sunny PangPang' was released by National Horticultural Research Institute (NHRI), Rural Development Administration (RDA), in 2006. The cross between 'Restone' and 'Lollipop' was made in 2003. After evaluation for the characteristics including shading culture in summer and retarding culture in spring between 2002 and 2005, final selection was made. The natural flowering time of "Sunny PangPang" is late October, but year-round flowering is possible by shading and illumination. It has pompon type flowers with orange yellow petals and red flower center. It shows vigorous stem growth and resistance to white rust. The diameter of flower is 4.4 cm. The number of flowers per stem is 11 and the days to flower under the short day treatment is about 49 in summer season.

A new cultivar of Phalaenopsis, "Orange Dream" was initially selected from the progenies derived from self-pollination of 3091(no name) in 1996 at the National Horticultural Research Institute, Rural Development Administration. It was finally selected in 2003 after the investigation of the characteristics for five years (1999-2003). "Orange Dream" has orange color and purple line with thick petal, sepal, and long blooming, semi-upright leaf and high-mass propagation of 70%. The width of flower is 6.5 cm with medium sized and the number of flowers is 6. Strong sunlight should be avoided for its growth. Growing temperatures of 35℃/15℃(day/night) are advisable. A variety protection has been applied for this cultivar in 2005.

A new cultivar of Rosa hybrida “Orange Flash” was selected from the progenies of a cross between “Lora” and “Timeless” at the Gyeonggi-Do Agricultural Research and Extension Services in 2000. It was finally selected in 2004 after investigation of the characteristics for three years (2002-2004). “Orange Flash” was developed for a standard type cut flower. The major characteristics of “Orange Flash” are 107stems/m2/year in yield, 24.8 in petal number and 10.9 days in vase life. The cultivar was applied for a variety protection in 2005, and was released to commercial growers in 2006.

A new spray chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflorum) cultivar Peak was bred by crossing between GrandPink and Relance. Its growth and flower characteristics were investigated from 2002 to 2004 by shading culture in summer andretarding culture in spring.
