        본 논문은 선박 기관실 내의 효율적인 감시를 위한 팬-틸트-줌(PTZ) 카메라 기반의 모니터링 시스템의 설계 방법을 다룬다. 선 박 기관실에는 여전히 전통적인 아날로그 계기들을 사용하는 곳이 많고, 침수나 화재 등 안전과 밀접하게 관련된 사각지대들이 다수 존 재한다. 이러한 감시 개소들에 대하여 비교적 빠른 주기로 넓은 범위를 보장하는 카메라 기반 감시 시스템은 선박의 안전을 강화시킬 수 있는 효과적인 대안이 될 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기존 PTZ 카메라의 기능들을 소프트웨어적 방법으로 더욱 강화시킨 형태의 모니 터링 시스템을 제안한다. 보다 구체적으로는 카메라제어 모듈, 위치등록 모듈, 순회제어 모듈, 멀티뷰 영상재구성 모듈로 구성된 모니터 링 시스템의 설계 방법을 제안하고, 제안된 방법은 기관실 환경에서의 실험을 통해 그 효용성을 평가한다.

        In this study, a PTZ(Pan-Tilt-Zoom) system was applied as the methods for measuring the deformation angle of a steel pipe elbow. An image of the steel pipe elbow was enhanced using an image filter processing algorithm. To measure the deformation angle, the Hough transform was applied to the enhanced image to facilitate line recognition. In this study, the limit state of the elbow was defined as rupture or leakage. To verify the validity of measuring the deformation angle of a steel pipe elbow by using a PTZ system, an in-plane cyclic loading test was conducted so that deformation angles that are too large to measure using a conventional sensor could be measured effectively.

        In this study, a PTZ(Pan-Tilt-Zoom) system was developed to analyze the behavior characteristics of pipe fittings and joints using the image processing techniques. In the developed PTZ system, two cameras and lenses were installed in a pan-tilt drive to measure the strain and deformation angle of the piping components using one system. In-plane cyclic loading test was conducted to verify the validity of the method to measure the strain and deformation angle using the developed PTZ system.

        To monitor static and dynamic responses of bridges, an image-based monitoring system using networking Pan-Tilt-Zoom IP (Internet Protocol) cameras has been developed. Verification testing is carried out during the human-excited vibration test of the stay cables in a cable-stayed bridge. As well as identifying the natural frequencies of the stay cable, the reasonable damping ratios are successfully extracted from the acquired images.

        To monitor static and dynamic responses of bridges, an image-based monitoring system using networking PTZ IP (Pan-Tilt-Zoom Internet Protocol) cameras has been developed. Triggers to acquire video or still-images are performed when structural events like vibrations or excessive displacements occur. Also, periodic or user-defined triggers can be performed. When a trigger occurs, the system collects bridge members' images along the pre-defined touring route of a group of presets and extracts relative displacements between images.
