        본 연구는 국내 산림생명자원 중 광나무의 대량생산을 위한 기초연구로, Priming 처리에 따른 발아 효율성 및 유묘 생육특성에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 수행하였다. 종자 Priming처리는 대조구, GA3 (10, 100, 200 ㎎·L-1), Ca (NO3)2 (50, 100, 200 mM), KNO3 (50, 100, 200 mM)를 24시간 처리하여 발아특성을 분석하였고, 순화재배에 따른 생육특성 및 활착률을 조사하여 수확량을 비교·분석하였다. 발아특성은 25℃·KNO3 100 mM에서 발아율이 유의적으로(p<0.001) 높았으며, 평균발아일수는 10.3~18.1일로 15℃에서 대체적으로 빠른 발아일수를 나타냈다(p<0.001). 발아속도 및 발아균일지수 또한 25℃·KNO3 100 mM에서 유의적으로 높은 값을 보였다(p<0.001). 생육특성의 경우 2 5℃·KNO3 100 mM 처리에서 유근 길이(5.1±2.4 ㎝), 초장(5.7±0.7 ㎝), 근장(16.6±2.0 ㎝), 건중량(0.079 g)이 유의적으로 가장 높게 나타났다 (p<0.001). 유묘활력지수 또한 25℃·KNO3 100 mM 처리에서 1418.3으로 높았으며, 가장 높은 수확량(16.8 g/㎡)을 나타냈다. 결과적으로 25℃, KNO3 100 mM 처리 시 실내발아에서 발아효율성을 높일 수 있었으며, 순화재배 시 우수한 유묘 생육을 보여 수확량을 증진시킬 수 있었다.

        기계이앙용(機械移秧用) 상자육묘(箱子育苗)에 있어서 비료(肥料)의 종류(種類) 및 시비법(施肥法)이 토양(土壤)의 pH변화(變化)와 묘생육(苗生育)에 미치는 영향(影響)을 구명(究明)하고자 낙동(洛東)벼와 삼강(三綱)벼를 공시(供試)하여 시험(試驗)하였던 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 초장(草長)과 건물중(乾物重)에 있어서 유안(硫安)을 시용(施用)한 것이 요소(尿素)를 시용(施用)한 것보다 양호(良好)하였으며 발근력(發根力) 또한 시비법(施肥法)에 관계(關係)없이 유안(硫安)을 시용(施用)한 구(區)가 요소(尿素)를 시용(施用)한 구(區)보다 양호(良好)한 것으로 나타났다. 생리장해(生理障害)는 요소전량기비구(尿素全量基肥區)가 요소분시구(尿素分施區)보다 심하였고 유안시용구(硫安施用區)에서는 거의 발생되지 않았다. 묘생육기간중(苗生育期間中) 상토(床土)의 pH변화(變化)는 질소질(質素質) 비료(肥料)는 유안(硫安)이 요소(尿素)보다 낮았고 인산질비료(燐酸質肥料)는 과인산석회(過燐酸石灰)가 용성인비(熔成燐肥)보다 낮았다.

        The purpose of this study was to identify for extenders, adhesives, colorants, and fungicides suitable for the production of high-quality film-coated seeds of Chinese cabbage. In addition, the effect of various additives used for film coating on the germination of coated seeds and seedling vigor was investigated to establish appropriate treatment conditions for film coating efficiency. The germination rate and germination speed in Chinese cabbage film-coated seeds did not differ significantly depending on the type and concentration of the extender, while the use of Talc resulted in superior granulation capacity and adhesion of the seed coat in comparison to Zeolite. There was no significant difference in the germination rate depending on the type of adhesive used for film coating of Chinese cabbage seeds, but the germination rate was slightly slower in the film-coated seeds using carboxymethyl cellulose as an adhesive. On the other hand, the seeds coated with a film using 1% PVA as an adhesive not only maintained hardness enough to withstand external pressure, but also showed a high germination rate. In addition, the suitable disinfectant for film coating was venoram, and the treatment concentration was good at 250 mg·L-1. The type of colorant used in the film-coated seeds of Chinese cabbage did not significantly affect the germination rate, germination speed, and seedling vigor. The seeds film-coated using the liquid colorant were superior in appearance to the seeds film-coated with the solid colorant, which implies the possibility of reduction in the manufacturing costs by using the water-soluble paints as colorants for film-coated seeds.

        Contaminated soils and water by heavy metals have posed a serious threat to environment and human health, which can be solved by both physicochemical and biological methods. Phytoremediation has recently become a topic of scientific research and gained much attention as a cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative. Many kinds of hyperaccumulator plants have been applied to deal with heavy metal contaminants such as As, Cd, Pb, Zn and various radionuclides. In recent study, a seedling vigor index (SVI) model, which uses specific hyperaccumulator plants (i.e., sunflower) as test subjects, is proposed to predict the phytotoxicity of heavy metals. However, whether this mathematical model can be commonly used has not been cleared yet. In this study, rapeseeds were treated with Cd, Pb, Ni, Zn to validate the SVI model which was proposed by some scholars previously. The phytotoxicity of heavy metal was evaluated using seed germination test and seedling length measurement. The test shows that germination percentage and seedling length decreased when heavy metal concentration increased. According to the results of regression analysis, heavy metal concentration is linear to germination percentage, root and shoot length, corresponding with SVI model. It can be concluded that the SVI estimation model obtained from sunflowers can also be applied to rapeseeds to describe the relative effects of heavy metal concentration on plants growth and development.. However, further experiments using more hyperaccumulator plants to validate the applicability of the SVI model are necessary.

        This study was conducted to investigate the effects of fruit set internode on the germination of watermelon seeds. Generally fruits setted in higher than 20 internode were high percent of germination, fruit setted in low internode(5-10) is low. The higher fruit-set internode, fruit weight was significantly increased, but 1,000 seed weight was decreased the more fruit set internode. However number of seed was about 300 seeds irrespective of fruit-set internode. Investigating viability of seed by BP test, general percent germination was recorded highest at 5 flower cluster above 20 internode of fruit-set internode. In contrast, condition of fruit setted on 3, 4, 6 flower cluster were high percent of germination, regarded as unnormal germination not to be as normal seedling by 2~3%. Seed harvested at 5 flower-cluster had high viability on hypocotyl height and diameter of seedling through early growth test, but were not significant. Therefore 5 flower-cluster was optimum fruit-set internode to obtain high-quality seed.

        과맥에서 종자활력의 저하요인을 구명하고자 과맥 2계통(피, 과 isogenic line포함) 및 피맥 1품종의 종자의 수발아를 유도하여 손과 기계탈곡(700 rpm ) 한 종자를 이용하였다. 1. 수발아된 종자를 손 탈곡하여 배부분의 손상이 없어서 발아세, 발아율, TTC치은 수발아 정도에 따른 차이가 적었으나, 출아력은 수발아가 클수록 감소되었다. 2. 수발아된 종자는 기계탈곡시 배의 부분적인 손상이 관찰되었으며, 손 탈곡에 비해서 종자활력에 관계된 형질들이 고도로 유의적인 감소를 가져왔고 효소활력은 크게 증가되었다. 3 손 탈곡구에서 수발아 정도는 효소활력 ( r =0.9 31**, 0.951**) 및 발아력 ( r=0.46*)과 정상관이 있었다.
