        본 연구는 철새도래지로 지정․보호되고 있는 남양호 일대에서 물닭 Fulica atra의 조사시기에 따른 로드킬 출현 개체 현황, 서식지 간 이동, 호수 내 결빙 경향성 및 차량 이동현황 등을 토대로 물닭 개체군 보호를 위한 자료를 제공하기 위하여 이루어졌다. 조사는 2017년 11월부터 2023년 3월까지 총 50회 실시하였고, 로드킬 사망개체 확인 시 GPS 위치와 수면 결빙 경향성을 파악하였으며, 로드킬 발생지역 일대의 차종별 이용 및 이동량을 파악하였다. 연구결과, 남양호는 월동기인 12월에서 1월 사이에 기온저하로 호수 수면부가 결빙되면서 물닭의 로드킬 발생이 증가하였고, 다른 조류에 비해 물닭이 차지하는 비율(54.5%)도 상대적으로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 물닭의 주요 로드킬 발생 지역은 장안대교와 남양호교 일대로 호수 내 결빙으로 먹이 섭취가 점차 어려워지면서 낙곡 등 먹이원을 찾아 호수에서 농경지로 이동하는 개체가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 물닭은 남양호에서 주변 농경지 및 도로로 이동시 주로 걸어서 이동하였고, 다수 개체에 의한 비행이 소수 개체에 비해 상대적으로 비행고도가 높았다. 조사지역에서 차량의 이동량은 302번 지방도 일대에서 가장 높았고, 차량 속도도 전체 조사지역에서 가장 빠른 것으로 나타났지만 로드킬 발생 빈도는 장안대교와 남양호교 일대에서 높았는데, 이는 남양호 일대에서의 물닭 로드킬 발생은 야생동물의 서식지와 도로 주변 일대의 다양한 요인이 중요하게 작용한다는 선행 연구와 일치하였다. 따라서 차량의 이동에 따른 물닭의 로드킬 사망을 최소화하기 위해 도로 내 차량 속도를 제어할 수 있는 과속방지턱의 추가 설치와 무인과속단속 장비의 신설이 요구되며, 물닭 차량 충돌 지역임을 확인시켜 줄 로드킬 주의 안내판과 내비게이션 등을 통한 주요 충돌 지역임을 홍보할 필요가 있다. 또한, 남양호 수변부로 물닭의 비행고도 유지를 위해 교목층의 상록침엽수림, 목재형 울타리 및 전신주 지하 매립 등으로 서식지간 이동시 비행높이를 확보할 수 있게 하고, 다층으로 수목을 식재하여 도로에서 수계 지역으로 이동을 차단할 필요가 있다. 또한, 도로 및 주변 일대로의 물닭의 이동을 제한하기 위해 가드레일 하단 차폐, 도로 주변 제초 시행, 도로 침입 경보음과 경광등의 설치를 실시하고, 로드킬 비 발생 지역을 중심으로 낙곡 등의 먹이원 공급 지역을 확대 등의 저감방안을 다양하게 수립한다면, 물닭의 로드킬 발생으로 인한 사망 요인을 분산시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 도로에서 확인된 로드킬 개체는 현지에서 발생한 사망 개체의 일부분에 지나지 않으며, 실제로 더 많은 조류가 차량 이동으로 인해 생명에 위험 및 위협요인으로 받아들여지고 있다. 따라서 철새도래지 일대에서 물닭의 로드킬을 저감하기 위해 기 제시되었던 저감방안의 수립과 모니터링을 통한 서식지 교란을 최소화한다면, 물닭의 월동지 및 번식지로 이용되고 있는 남양호에서의 개체군 감소 및 남양호 내의 조류의 종다양성 감소를 미연에 방지할 수 있을 것이다.

        PURPOSES : This study develops a model that can estimate travel speed of each movement flow using deep-learning-based probe vehicles at urban intersections. METHODS : Current technologies cannot determine average travel speeds for all vehicles passing through a specific real-world area under obseravation. A virtual simulation environment was established to collect information on all vehicles. A model estimate turning speeds was developed by deep learning using probe vehicles sampled during information processing time. The speed estimation model was divided into straight and left-turn models, developed as fully-offset, non-offset, and integrated models. RESULTS : For fully-offset models, speed estimation for both straight and left-turn models achieved MAPE within 10%. For non-offset models, straight models using data drawn from four or more probe vehicles achieved a MAPE of less than 15%. The MAPE for left turns was approximately 20%. CONCLUSIONS : Using probe-vehicle data(PVD), a deep learning model was developed to estimate speeds each movement flow. This, confirmed the viability of real-time signal control information processing using a small number of probe vehicles.

        The purpose of this study is to obtain data on the zones formed by the movement of livestock vehicles and to determine if such areas can be used to establish quarantine activities and quarantine policies for livestock epidemics. For this purpose, this study used mobile data on poultry-related livestock vehicles generated in 2019. InfoMap, a community detection method, was used for regional classification, and the results of the analysis were visualized on a map using GIS. The study results confirmed that the zone of the administrative unit can be classified based on the movement of livestock vehicles. In addition, the zones created by the vehicle movement could be seen to change depending on the purpose and timing of the operation of livestock vehicles. Some areas form relatively stable zones, such as Jeolla-do and Gyeongsang-do, while others change depending on the situation, such as Chungcheong-do, Gyeonggi-do, and Gangwon-do. Further, the zones derived for poultry differed from those derived for cattle and pigs in previous studies.

        The goal of the current study was to estimate the contribution of poultry farm vehicle movement frequency to the 2014 highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) epidemic using both global and local regression models. On one hand, the global model did not consider the hypothesis that a relationship between predictors and the outcome variable might vary across the country (spatially homogeneous), while on the other hand, the local model considered that there was spatial heterogeneity within the country. The HPAI outbreak status in each province was used as a dependent variable and the number of poultry farm vehicle movements within each province (within variable), the number of poultry farm vehicle movement from one province to another province (outbound variable), the number of poultry farm vehicle movements from other provinces to one province (inbound variable), and the number of poultry farms in each province were included in the model as independent variables. The results of a global model were as follows: estimated coefficient of the log-transformed within variable was 0.73, that of the log-transformed outbound variable was 2.04, that of the log-transformed inbound variable was 0.74, and that of the number of poultry farms was 1.08. Only the number of poultry farms was a statistically significant variable (p-value < 0.001). The AIC score of the global model was 1397.5. The results of the local model were as follows: estimated median coefficient of the log-transformed within variable was 0.75, that of the log-transformed outbound variable was 2.54, that of the log-transformed inbound variable was 0.60, and that of the number of poultry farms was 0.07. The local model’s AIC score was 1382.2. The results of our study indicate that a local model would provide a better understanding of the relationship between HPAI outbreak status and poultry farm vehicle movements than that provided by a global model.

        PURPOSES : The lack of details of guidelines on how to install the Chicane for traffic calming leads the practical difference across the calming areas, so the benefits expected from these facilities are not hardly observed. In this context, this study analysed the relationship between the geometric design alternatives of Chicane with the dynamic behaviour of vehicles in terms of speed and trajectory. METHODS : The study analysed vehicle dynamic behaviour using dynamic analysis program Auto-Turn under various geometric conditions of Chicane. RESULTS : This study suggested the design alternatives of Chicane using terms such as "longitudinal displacement value", "lateral displacement value", etc. which are defined in the study. The suggested combination set is fulfilling the desired or target speed of vehicles and clearance between vehicle and roadside at the same time. CONCLUSIONS : The results from this study can be applied to install Chicane corresponding to the local condition where target speed is 30km/h. The study showed the design alternatives of chicane corresponding to the given road cross-sectional design and clearance to roadside for passenger cars and light truck respectively.

        Most of livestock houses are concentrated in certain area with mass rearing system resulting in rapid spread of infectious diseases such as HPAI (highly pathogenic avian influenza). The livestock-related vehicles which frequently travel between farms could be a major factor for disease spread by means of transmission of airborne aerosol including pathogens. This study was focused on the quantitative measurement of aerosol concentration by field experiment while vehicles were passing through the road. The TSP (total suspended particle) and PM10 (particle matter) were measured using air sampler with teflon filter installed downward the road with consideration of weather forecast and the direction of road. And aerosol spectrometer and video recorders were also used to measure the real-time distribution of aerosol concentration by its size. The results showed that PM2.5 was not considerable for transmission of airborne aerosol from the livestock-related vehicle. The mass generated from the road during the vehicle movement was measured and calculated to 241.4 μg/m3 by means of the difference between TSP and PM2.5. The dispersion distance was predicted by 79.6 m from the trend curve.

        This paper describes performance improvement of GPS/DR Integration system using area decision algorithm and vehicle movement information. In GPS signal blockage area, i.e., tunnel and underground parking area, DR sensor errors are accumulated and navigation solution is gradually diverged. We use the car movement information according to moving area to correct the DR sensor error. Also, vehicle movement is decided as stop, straight line, turn and movement changing region through DR sensor data analysis. The car experiment is performed to verify the supposed method. The results show that supposed method provides small position and heading error than previous method.
