목적 : 본 연구는 노인의 계속 거주(Ageing in Place)에 대한 선행연구들을 계량서지학적 분석을 통해 종합적으로 검토하 여, 연구 결과들에 대한 포괄적이고 체계적인 이해를 제공하는 것이다. 연구방법 : 해외 데이터베이스(Scopus)를 활용하여 노인의 계속 거주 연구의 동향을 파악하였다. 검색어로는 ‘Ageing in Place’가 사용하고, 검색 기간은 2013년 1월 1일부터 2023년 12월 31일까지로 설정하였다. 검색결과 중 최종 선정된 논 문은 1,389편이었다. 분석은 계량서지학적 분석을 통해 출판 경향, 국가 및 지역, 연구분야, 키워드 등을 파악하고, VOS Viewer를 활용하여 결과를 시각화하였다. 결과 : 2013~2023년 동안 연도별 출판량이 증가하는 경향을 확인하였으며, 미국, 캐나다, 호주를 중심으로 한 주요 국가 에서 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 의학, 사회과학, 간호학 분야를 중심으로 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있으며, 노인(older adults, older people), 주택(housing), 치매(dementia), 기술(technology), 삶의 질(quality of life) 등의 다양한 측면의 키워드가 추출되었다. 결론 : 본 연구를 통해 노인의 계속 거주에 대한 연구 동향을 파악하였으며, 출판 문헌 수의 증가 추세와 주요 학문 분야 의 집중적 연구를 확인하였다. 이를 통해 계속 거주에 대한 연구는 노년층의 안정적이고 만족된 삶을 지원하기 위한 연구 임을 확인하였으며, 국가와 지역사회에서 실질적인 연구를 진행하기 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다.
This study aims to provide insights into ageing consumers’ content usage, content typology choices, and online brand advocacy. Consumers from Southern Europe aged 55+ were included in semi-structured interviews. The study reveals insights into online behaviours and proposes an online brand advocacy framework for ageing consumers, contributing to the literature and offering managerial implications.
In view of the growing need for clean energy, supercapacitors (SC), especially those based on activated carbon (AC) and organic electrolyte are attracting great attention for their theoretically infinite life span. However, they still age much faster than expected due to certain mechanisms. Several researches is being conducted to understand these mechanisms, but so far, the chemical reactions at the phase boundary of the activated carbon electrodes and organic electrolyte have been very unclear. Some pathways have not yet been investigated; there is no research on the reactions that can take place between acetonitrile in the vapor phase and the oxides presented on the surface of activated carbons. For this reason, in this study, divided into two parts, the first based on a thermal simulation and the second based on an experimental study, we have systematically described the ageing mechanisms by determining the gas-phase reactions that can occur at the electrode–electrolyte interface. On the one hand, a thermal model of a supercapacitor cell using activated carbon and organic electrolyte technology has been developed. This model allowed us to study the temperature distribution of supercapacitors, and thus to determine the thermodynamic parameters related to the phenomena produced at the electrode–electrolyte interface. On the other hand, a thermo-gravimetric analysis coupled with gas phase infrared spectroscopy on the activated carbons of an aged supercapacitor of the same technology as that used in the simulation was carried out. The results obtained made it possible to identify the chemical groups produced by ageing.
Although there are many international treaties and conventions offering protection for generic human rights that implicitly refer to older persons, these relevant provisions are scattered, porous and lack of practical operability, which fail to provide explicit, tailored, comprehensive and binding protection to older persons. In addition, there are some soft law provisions that guide the application of law and add to the overall protection of older people. However none of the documents contains legally binding obligations. Therefore, the protection of the rights of the elderly must be formulated as the “hard law” which defines the responsibilities of the state and clarifies the implementation mechanism at the international and domestic level. In other words, a legal system ought to be established to comprehensively protect the rights of the elderly, which is just the Convention on the Rights of the Elderly. This article attempts to present a proposal to create the right system of the Convention, which represents the core of this potential international treaty.
The number of aged bridges is increasing so that bridges over 30 years old account for about 11% of all bridges. Consequently, the development of a seismic performance evaluation method that considers the effects of ageing is essential for a seismic retrofitting process for improvement of the seismic safety of existing old bridges. Assessment of the damage situation of bridges after the recent earthquakes in Korea has been limited to the bearings, anchor, and concrete mortar on piers. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the seismic responses of PSC box girder bridges by considering the ageing effect of rubber bearings (RBs) and lead-rubber bearings (LRBs). The modification factor proposed by AASHTO is used to take into account the ageing effect in the bearings. PSC box girder bridges with RBs and LRBs were 3D modeled and analyzed with the OpenSEES program. In order to evaluate the ageing effect of RBs and LRBs, 40 near fault and 40 far field records were used as the input earthquakes. When considering the effect of ageing, the displacement responses and shear forces of bridge bearings (RBs and LRBs) were found to increase mostly under the analytical conditions. It was shown that the effect of ageing is greater in the case of RBs than in the case of LRBs.
토콜즈(tocols) 이성질체 조성이 서로 다른 자포니카와 통 일형 품종을 이용하여 저장기간에 따른 지질 관련 품질의 변 화를 살펴보았다. 자포니카와 통일형 품종의 현미를 35℃, 습 도 80%에서 8주간 저장하며, 2주 간격으로 품질 변화를 분석 한 결과, 자포니카 품종들의 발아율은 저장 초기 98.0%에서 저장 8주 후 22.4%까지 감소한 데 반해, 통일형 품종들은 저 장 초기 93.3%에서 8주 후 59.7%로 감소해 통일형 품종의 발 아율 감소율이 2배 이상 낮았고, 쌀의 저장 중의 산패 정도를 나타내는 지방산가 또한 통일형 품종에서 유의적으로 낮았 다. 발아율 및 지방산가는 쌀의 저장 중 품질 저하를 판단하 는 주요 기준이며, 본 실험을 통해 통일형 벼 품종이 자포니 카 품종에 비해 저장에 따른 품질 저하 속도가 늦다는 사실을 확인하였다. 통일형 벼는 토코페롤 대비 토코트리에놀 함량 이 높고, 특히 지질 안정성 및 지질의 산화 억제 효과가 뛰어 난 γ-토코트리에놀의 함량이 높은 지질 특징을 지니고 있어, 벼 저장 중의 지질 산패 지연에 관여하였을 것으로 추측된다. 그러나 벼의 저장성과 관련된 명확한 성분 구명을 위해서는 자포니카와 통일형의 토콜즈(tocols) 조성 혼합물을 이용한 저장 실험이 추가로 수행되어야 할 것으로 생각된다.
Macronutrient balance has a strong influence on fitness in insects. Previous studies have revealed that altering the concentrations of yeast and sugar in the semi-synthetic diet has a profound impact on lifespan and fecundity in Drosophila melanogaster, indicating the role of dietary protein:carbohydrate (P:C) balance in determining these two key components of fitness. However, since yeast contains not only proteins but also other macro- and micronutrients, this lifespan-determining role of dietary P:C balance needs to be corroborated using a chemically defined diet. In this study, the effects of dietary P:C balance on lifespan and fecundity were investigated in female D. melanogaster flies on one of eight isocaloric synthetic diets differing in P:C ratio (0:1, 1:16, 1:8, 1:4, 1:2, 1:1, 2:1 or 4:1). Lifespan and dietary P:C ratio were related in a convex manner, with lifespan increasing to a peak at the two intermediate P:C ratios (1:2 and 1:4) and falling at the imbalanced ratios (0:1 and 4:1). Ingesting nutritionally imbalanced diets caused flies to start ageing earlier and senesce faster. Egg production increased progressively as the dietary P:C ratio rose from 0:1 to 4:1. Long-lived flies at the intermediate P:C ratios(1:2 and 1:4) stored a greater amount of lipids than those short-lived ones at the two imbalanced ratios (0:1 and 4:1). These findings provide a strong support to the notion that dietary P:C balance is a critical determinant of lifespan and fecundity in D. melanogaster.
Hair braiding has long been a tradition in the Black community as well as a bonding experience between mothers, daughters and siblings.
In each hairstyle include braiding, the comb is believed as a good instrument to make hair style.
The beauty of hair braiding in Africa is one of the outstanding African cultures and enhances the African women self-esteem. Hair braiding is art-crafts activities using the fingertips and is useful activities for senior people because it makes increasing blood flow and brain activity.
This paper focuses on how African old women live to cope with the ageing. The braiding techniques can allow to senior women to be useful and increase their physical health, also the act of braiding allow the good communication and relationship between generations while grandmothers braid their granddaughter.
As the research method, i used the review of literature and empirical study. On the review of literature, I used overseas literature on hairstyle, academic papers and web site. As illustration, the author Henrietta M. Smith (2009) said that, the mother and the grandmother braid their granddaughter and at the same time, they make or they share the stories of the braid patterns that are part of their inheritance.
On empirical study, I suggest 3 types of braiding style which are: Single, Twist and Cornrow braiding style. To develop the techniques, I have been helped by a hair designer. The way I precede, the hair designer braided until the middle of the strand and then I continued till the end. And the third person took the pictures.
The results are as follows
1. African braiding styles are very unique and creative. Braiding style is styled in varies ways. It is viewed as modernity with different styles includes fashion models. To braid is an outward expression of the most inner viewed like design so it is very useful activity for development of cognitive function for senior generation.
2. Hair braiding time for granddaughter will be extremely useful time for African old women and will gives them more happiness and healthy life. Also it will create good relationship with their family and allow good communications between generations.
3. We choose 3 types of hair braiding styles which are easy for senior women to learn and to understand. The choice hair braids are single braid, twist braid and cornrow braid.
4. The results of this research will be helpful for coping with the ageing in senior women people. And disciplines of this hair braiding techniques will contribute to improve their economic security, health and living conditions, also improve their physical and moral conditions.
한국 사회의 급속한 고령화로 인해 여러 가지 발생하는 문제 중 노인범죄의 증가라는 현상이 최근 들어 두드러지게 나타나고 있다. 이러한 노인범죄는 신체적인 노화와 정서적인 소외를 경험하면서 사회적인 활동이 점차 감소되는 60세 이상의 노인이 저지르는 범죄를 의미하고 있다. 이러한 노인범죄는 2000년대 들어와 급격하게 증가하고 있으며, 그 비중이 점점 증가하고 있다. 특히 71세 이상의 고고령 범죄자가 증가하는 특징을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서 노인범죄의 특성으로는 노인범죄는 인구구조의 변화에 따라서 변화하는 모습을 보여주고 있으며 노인범죄의 유형은 형법범과 특별법범이 나란히 증가세를 보여주는 것으로 나타났다. 노인범죄의 특징을 유형별로 살펴보면 강력범죄는 전체 노인범죄에서 차지하는 비율은 낮으나 그 빈도는 높게 증가하고 있고 재산범죄는 전체 노인범죄 중 가장 높은 비율을 차지하고 있으며 노인생활에서 가계의 소득, 금전적인 부족의 문제가 노인범죄로 이어지는 것을 보여준다. 폭행범죄는 빈도는 높지 않으나 노년기 이상심리인 공격성이나 경직성에서 그 상관관계를 연관 지을 수 있고 풍속범죄는 주로 도박과 복표에 관련된 범죄의 수가 빈도가 높은 것으로 나타났으며 노인여가의 문제와 직결된다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 노인범죄에 대하여 특정 범죄를 지목하여 조사하는 형태를 벗어나, 노인범죄의 전반적인 내용에 대해서 살펴보고 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 거시적 관점에서 노 인범죄를 살펴보았다. 현대 노인 범죄에 대한 해결방법으로는 첫 번째, 노인범 죄에 있어서 노인의 범죄 행위 자체를 다른 연령층에서 일어나는 범죄와 다르게 간주해서는 안 된다. 노인이 행했기’ 때문에 노인범죄를 편향된 시각으로 보는 것은 잘못된 것이며 노인범죄에 대한 명확한 기준이 필요하고 이에 대한 교정 복지적 대응도 필요하다. 두 번째, 노인범죄에 대한 예방차원의 정책적 접근이 필요하다. 상술한 노인범죄의 특성들을 바탕으로 예방차원의 정책 마련이 필요 하면 실효성 있는 정책방안이 제지되어야 한다.
출생률ㆍ사망률의 하락은 고령화 추세의 직접적 요인이다. 출생률ㆍ사망률의 하락에 영향을 미치는 요인에는 소득 수준과 보건ㆍ위생 수준의 향상 외에도 인구 조정 정책이 있다. 1970년 이후부터 개시되었던 인구 조정 정책은 출생률의 하락을 가져옴과 동시에 고령화 추세의 가져왔던 정책적 요인이 되었다. 특히, 1980년 이후 실시되었던 계획 출산 정책은 고령화를 촉진시킨 요인이 되었다. 계획 출산 정책에 따른 고령화는 불가피한 추세이지만, 문제점은 고령화의 속도, 현재의 조건 및 지역 간 불균등성에서 찾을 수 있다. 중국에서는 고령화 추세가 유례없이 빠른 속도로 진행되어왔기 때문에 경제 발전 수준이 낮은 상태에서 고령화 사회로 진입하였다는 점이다. 선진국은 경제 발전이 높은 상태에서 고령화 사회로 진입하였지만, 중국은 고령화 사회로 진입할 무렵에 1인당 GDP가 아직 낮은 수준에 불과하였다. 또한, 고령화와 지역 간 격차와의 관련성도 관심을 가질 부분이다. 먼저 동부에 비해 서부의 노년 인구의 비율이 낮지만, 유소년 인구 비율은 높다. 또한, 총부양비에서 서부지역은 전국 평균보다 대체로 높다. 이로 보건대, 서부 지역이 동부 지역보다 소득 수준이 낮을 뿐만 아니라 더 무거운 부양 부담을 지고 있다는 사실을 알 수 있다.
Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is associated with the development of extrinsic skin aging. We performed in vivo assays in order to investigate the protective effect of a combination of grapefruit and rosemary extracts (cG&Re) on UVB-induced skin aging. The results indicated that cG&Re displayed elastase inhibitory activity in a dose-dependent manner. Topical application of cG&Re mitigated photo-aging related lesions such as skin erythema and thickening in photo-aged BALB/c mice dorsal skin, by preventing UVB-induced collagen degradation. Immunohistochemical analyses revealed that cG&Re stimulated SIRT-1 expression, and suppressed MMP-1 and IL-1β expression. It was observed that expression of MMP-1 and -13 mRNA was downregulated in the cG&Re-treated group. Furthermore, cG&Re treatment drastically suppressed protein expression of MMP-1 and regulated the phosphorylation of p-38 kinase. As expected, oral administration of cG&Re resulted in the same SIRT-1, MMP-1, and IL-1β expression patterns observed upon topical application of cG&Re in the UV-induced mice model. Overall, the current results demonstrated that cG&Re attenuated both the downregulation of MMP-1 expression and up-regulation of SIRT-1 expression, as well as decreased phosphorylation of MAPK in UVB-induced skin ageing mice model, suggesting that cG&Re might be used as an internal food ingredient for beauty-purposes as well as a functional food material.
The interest in decrepitude expanded by graying is gradually growing in modern society. Moreover, he concern over decrepitude along with healthy mind and body is increasing. Therefore, there are many concerns and efforts toward physical and mental health. In addition, the interest in and effort for appearance health and value is rising as well as physical and mind health. The middle age is the most stable age based on the economic and social status that had been achieved through the life, but it is the most stressful age due to physical health problem and appearance ageing. There are many advanced studies for self-esteem and life satisfaction in old age by using hair, skin-care, cosmetic, nail-art among beauty related fields but studies on self-esteem and perception of successful ageing through user satisfaction of beauty service is lacking. This study is aiming to verify empirically the positive effect of self-esteem improvement through user satisfaction of beauty service on perception of successful ageing for middle-aged over 50 years old. The study has assumed that the higher middle-aged’s satisfaction of beauty service is, the more self-esteem improves and there has a mediated effect to contribute successful ageing.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of regional ageing rate to industrial structures of rural areas in Korea. This paper shows that there are cause-effect relations between the industrial specialization and ageing rate in 'Agriculture', 'Finance & Insurance', and 'Real Estate & Leasing' sectors. The ageing levels are classified into ageing society, aged society, and super-aged society according to UN standard that cause different impacts on industrial specialization of regions. This paper finds that the industrial specialization is determined by the ageing levels. If there is an increase in ageing rate by 1% in ageing society, the industrial specialization of the three industries could be strengthened by 0.14%. But, ageing rates have negative impacts on the industrial specialization in aged society and super-aged society by 0.76% and by 1.20%, respectively, as increasing ageing rate by 1%. As the ageing rate progresses, 'Agriculture', 'Finance & Insurance' and 'Real Estate & Leasing'sectors have positive impacts on the industrial specialization in the ageing society. But 'Finance & Insurance' and 'Real Estate & Leasing' sectors have changed into negative impacts on the industrial specialization in the aged society. In the aged society, the employment of elderly persons of 'Agriculture' and 'Finance & Insurance' sectors increase by 1% makes positive impact on the industrial specialization by 1.54%, by 0.45%, respectively. The result of this paper can be applied to a significant guideline at establishing regional employment planning such as elderly customized employment, vocational training for rural areas, where above 14% of ageing rate.
