        Calcium phosphate minerals are biologically important because of their application in the fields of orthopaedics and dentistry. Herein we have tried to synthesize calcium phosphate minerals from biowaste clam shells. A simple microwave method was used to synthesize a mixture of calcium phosphate minerals such as hydroxyapatite, tri-calcium phosphate, and monetite. The microwave induces vibration of the dipole ions in the reagent. The heating and rearrangement of ions and atoms occurs during the process. The phases obtained in the final powder were ascertained by X-ray diffraction; the morphology of each sample was checked using a scanning electron microscope. We were able to obtain a mixture of calcium phosphate minerals using the microwave method; the calcined powder showed a brick like morphology, which is different from the rod shape morphology of the hydroxyapatite obtained using the hydrothermal process.

        Calcium phosphate powders were successfully synthesized by using re-cycled eggshell and phosphoric acid. The crystallization behavior and powder morphologies of the synthesized powders were dependent on the starting condition of the eggshell, the mixing ratio and method of the eggshell and phosphoric acid, and calcination temperature. In general, -tricalcium phosphate was stably synthesized at about 90 for 1h at each proper mixing ratio. And, the synthesized powders showed the similar microstructures to the morphology of original eggshell with uniform particle sizes. In this study, the calcium phosphate powders were synthesized with eggshell in various processing method. And their unique microstructures obtained from the eggshell were also. observed. The crystalline developments and microstructures of the synthesized powders were examined by X-ray diffractometer and scanning electron microscopy

        생체내에서 매식되는 타이타늄의 표면에 골의 형성과 성장을 촉진시키기 위해 칼슘이온과 인산이온을 함유하는 용액에서 타이타늄의 표면처리를 행하였다. 표면처리방법으로는 pH 5.8, 7.0, 8.0의 인산칼슘 완충용액에 10분간 침적시킨 후 유사체액에 30일간 침적시켰다. 침적시킨 후의 타이타늄 표면에 형성된 피막의 특성을 주사전자현미경, X-ray 회절장치, Fourier 변환강도계등으로 확인하고 유사체액에만 침적한 시편의 표면특성과 비교하였다. 실험결과 인산완충용액에서의 침적에 의해 타니타늄 표면에 인산칼슘 형성이 촉진됨을 알 수 있었다. 형성된 층은 입자형의 미세구조를 지닌 하이드록시아파타이트나 β-TCP의 인산칼슘 층으로 확인되었다. 형성된 층의두께는 pH 8.0, 7.0 그리고 pH 5.8의 인산완충액에서의 침적 순으로 증가하였고, 그 밀도는 pH 7.0, pH8.0그리고 pH5.8의 인산완충액에서의 침적 순으로 증가하였다.

        This study was carried out to compare the physicochemical characteristics of vinegars fermented from cereal crops such as glutinous and nonglutinous foxtail millet, proso millet, sorghum and adlay, and Incalgyun. The crude protein, minerals and P2O5 contents of vinegars fermented from cereal crops and Incalgyun were higher than circulation brown rice vinegar. Brix degree, turbidity and pH of vinegar fermented from cereal crops and Incalgyun were higher, and total acidity was lower than circulation brown rice vinegar. The glucose content of circulation brown rice vinegar was 4.89 mg/mL, and vinegars fermented from cereal crops were 0.00-5.62 mg/mL. The total organic acid content of circulation brown rice vinegar was 41.92 mg/mL, and vinegars fermented from cereal crops were 12.14-42.31 mg/mL. The major organic acids were acetic acid, succinic acid and citric acid. The total polyphenol content of circulation brown rice vinegar was 0.023 mg/mL, vinegars fermented from cereal crops were 0.286-0.413 mg/mL, and vinegars fermented from cereal crops and Incalgyun were 0.266-0.396 mg/mL. The ABTS and DPPH radical scavenging activities of vinegars fermented from cereal crops were higher than circulation brown rice vinegar.
