        Nowadays, business environment changes with higher consumer demands for corporate social responsibility than before. However, many fashion companies are unaware of such a wave of changing business environment. And they are not so much interested in making any investment or policy for CSR activities. Besides, despite changing environment and consumer demands, there are very few studies dealing with this matter. Thus, this study aimed to find out the proper types of CSR activities for fashion companies. In addition, it also intended to determine potential effects of CSR activities on consumer attitudes and purchase behaviors. The findings are as follows. First, it is found that there are differences in consumers' perceived suitability depending on types of CSR activities of fashion company. Secondly, it is found that the suitability of CSR activities of fashion companies has positive effects on consumer attitudes to fashion companies. Thirdly, the more favorable consumer attitudes to fashion companies owing to their CSR activities are correlated with the higher consumer satisfaction. Fourthly, the more favorable consumer attitudes to fashion companies are also correlated with the higher consumer intention for purchase. Hence, it is required that fashion companies recognize the importance of their CSR activities, and also plan and implement appropriate CSR activities for consumers.

        The aim of this study was to examine how customers perceive storytelling at a real local restaurant and to understand how consumption reflects their evaluation by understanding their values. Participants received information from a real local restaurant in the Gangneung area to examine the effects of storytelling and to evaluate their affective attitudes towards local restaurant stories, word-of-mouth intentions, and purchasing intentions using a seven-point Likert scale. A total of 310 consumers were used. A factor analysis was performed to identify consumption value characteristics and factor structure, which consisted economic value, emotional value, and epistemic value. To test whether local restaurant consumers could be classified into homogenous groups based on their consumption values, a three cluster solution was selected, and a Kmeans cluster analysis was performed. As a result, three groups were identified and labeled appropriate for their scores based on each of the consumption values; emotional value-oriented consumers to cluster 1, epistemic value-oriented consumers to cluster 2, and economic value-oriented consumers to cluster 3. An analysis of variance was used to examine the differences in the affective attitudes towards storytelling at the local restaurant, purchasing intentions, and word-of-mouth intentions across the three clusters. The epistemic value-oriented consumers had the highest score for all three variables. In contrast, economic value-oriented consumers had the lowest scores for the three variables. A regression analysis revealed that affective attitudes towards storytelling were significantly affected by these three consumption values. It also showed that positive affective attitudes towards storytelling were associated with higher purchasing intention and word-of-mouth. The significance of this study was to show how customers perceive storytelling at a real restaurant and reflect on their evaluation by understanding their consumption values. As a result, this study examined the potential power of storytelling as an effective marketing communication tool for local restaurants.

        The purpose of this study was to observe the current consumption of bedding products, purchase behavior, and to compare between purchase criteria and degree of satisfaction after the purchase. Independent variables are age, consumer's knowledge and involvement about the bedding materials. This study can contribute for bedding product marketing strategies and design development. We used questionnaires that were distributed to 500 females aged in 20s to 50s, using stratified sampling method. Only 457 reliable questionnaires were selected for statistical analysis. Data were analyzed statistically through frequencies, paired t-test, ANOVA, Dunnett T3, Chi-test, using SPSS (Version 12.0). The results of this study are as follows. The types of bedroom was significantly associated with age variables. Women in 20's to 30's were using the mixture of Ondol and bed(chimdaie), while 40's to 50's women were using bed for all their rooms. The usage of filling material for the comforter(ibul) was significantly associated with the age group. 20's to 30's age group preferred synthetic fibers for the filling, while 40 to 50's women preferred cotton fibers. Generally, the most of people used quilted comforter and they used cotton material as filling materials of comforters. As to purchase behavior, the most frequent place of purchase was specialty store of bedding products, and the highest percentage of motivation for purchase was "deformation after the use/throwing away". Purchase motivation for bedding was related with the age variable and the clusters based on the knowledge of bedding materials. We analysed the comparison test purchase criteria and satisfaction. In all attributes except brand image, people evaluated lower in satisfaction after purchase than in criteria before purchase.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the sensation seeking tendency and knitwear purchase behaviors of high school girls. The data were obtained from 475 high school girls at 6 high schools located in Daejeon. The method of study is a survey consisted of sensation seeking tendency items, knitwear purchase behavior items and demographic attribution. Data were analyzed by frequency, variance, crosstabs, and correlation analysis using SPSS WIN 17.0 program. The results of study are as follows. First, high school girls generally liked knitwears by reason of comfort and activity. Most girls purchased the knitwears to wear ordinary casual wear(81.5%). They usually thought sweater and cardigan to be representative of knitwears. Also, they mostly purchased the knitwears of simple and active design, achromatic color, 100% cotton, and solid or simple stripe pattern. The design and price were considered as important evaluation criteria in knitwear purchase. The information sources used by them were store display, friends, and internet. Second, the knitwear purchase behaviors of high school girls showed the difference between groups with high- and low-sensation seeking tendency. The most important factor of knitwear purchase was an unique and characteristic design in high group and a simple and active design in low group. In conclusion, high school girls liked knitwears and had different knitwear purchase behaviors according to the sensation seeking tendency.

        The purpose of this study is to provide basic materials for food service consumption culture by proving the problem with food service purchase and its improvements. For this purpose, it was attempted to grasp university students' food service purchase behavior and level of satisfaction with it and to investigate the factors influencing their level of satisfaction with food service purchase. The questionnaire research was conducted for university students living in Seoul and Chungcheong provinces. 453 questionnaires obtained from them were used for final analysis. As a results, the following finding were obtained: 1. In case of university students, their level of consumer satisfaction with food service purchase was shown to be the score of 37.99(63.06/on the basis of 100 points). They showed the highest level of satisfaction with quality, followed by facility and atmosphere, service, price and the like. 2. The factor having the greatest influence on university students' level of satisfaction with food service purchase was shown to be gender(female), followed by food service place(Korean food restaurant, Chinese food restaurant, Western food restaurant, flour-based meals restaurant), consumer attitude, average monthly food service cost.

        A survey was conducted to assess the food-purchase behavior of 197 Taejon full time housewives 30 to 49 years of age. Food purchase was assessed using a questionnaire and the resulting data were analyzed using SPSS programs. Demographic data revealed that most of the households have three to five family members and that the Engel Indices of the participating households were mostly between 10 and 30%. Noticeable results of the food purchase assessment are as follows. In the grain and grain products items, the low-education group purchased more rice and barley than the high-education group, whereas the high-education group purchased more glutinous rice, brown rice, bread, macaronis and spaghetti than the low-education group. In the vegetable items, the low-education group purchased more Chinese cabbage and radish than the high-education group, while the high-education group purchased more head lettuce, broccoli and sweet pepper than the low-education group. In the meat items, the beef purchase was higher in the high-education than in the low-education group, while the pork purchase was higher in the low-education than in the high-education group . In the processed meat items, ham was the most favorite purchase item regardless of the education level. In the fish and shellfish items, Pacific cod and Alaska pollack were purchased more in the low-education than in the high-education group, and salmon and dried icefish strip were purchased more in the high-education than in the low-education group. No items in fruit group showed significant differences in the purchase amount between the low-education and the high-education group although the latter purchased more imported-fruits such as melons, kiwis, grapefruits, and oranges. Dairy products such as milk, cheese and butter were purchased more in the high-education than in the low-education group. It was also found that both the number of food items and the consumption of foods coming from animals were higher in the high-education than in the low-education group.

        The primary objective of this research is to develop a better understanding of consumer’s post-purchase psychological state by examining the influence of sales promotion and emotional brand attachment on post-purchase cognitive dissonance, taking into account the mediating role of impulse buying behavior. The current study addresses several gaps in literature. Firstly, it is hard to find the direct impact of sales promotion and emotional brand attachment on post-purchase cognitive dissonance. Secondly, to the best of our knowledge, few studies have investigated the mediating role of impulse buying behavior in consumer research. A sample of 256 respondents was collected from Pakistani retail consumers. The statistical findings of this study show that sales promotion has a significant positive effect on the impulse buying behavior and post-purchase cognitive dissonance. Furthermore, results indicate that emotional brand attachment has a negative influence on impulse buying behavior but has a significant positive impact on post-purchase cognitive dissonance. Meanwhile, impulse buying behavior is a potential mediator between sales promotion, emotional brand attachment, and post-purchase cognitive dissonance relationships. The moderating role of Gender describes that the positive relationship between sales promotion and post-purchase cognitive dissonance will be stronger for women as compared to men at a higher level of sales promotion.

        Many consumers intend to make environmentally purchase. However, this is not always what occurs. A gap exists between consumer intentions to purchase environmentally friendly products and their actual purchase behavior. In this study, we examined the effect of situational factors such as price sensitivity, product quality perception, and label trust on the relationship between purchase intention and purchase behavior for environmentally friendly products. First, we conducted a theoretical consideration through a review of literature on price sensitivity, product quality perception, label trust, purchase intention and purchase behavior. Based on the literature review, we designed a structural model and developed the hypotheses. Next, we collected data using a survey and processed them statistically in order to verify the hypotheses. A total of 213 samples were collected and the data were analyzed using a structural equation model (LISREL 8.70). The results suggest that the situational factor of label trust has a moderating effect on the relationship between purchase intention and purchase behavior for environmentally friendly products. However, price sensitivity and product quality perception have no moderating effect. This means that trust in labels is important when consumers want to buy environmentally friendly products. Although this study has some limitations, it is expected that it will positively trigger follow-up research.

        Purpose - This study aimed to identify the sub-dimensions of fashion social media quality (information quality, social quality, service quality, system quality) and investigate how they affect purchase intention through fashion information use behavior (information acceptance, information diffusion). Research design, data, and methodology – Data collection was carried out twice for systematic verification of the research model. In the first data collection, the reliability and validity of research variables were verified through 238 respondents and questionnaires were revised and supplemented based on their responses. In March 2018, the final survey was conducted from 755 respondents the age of 20 to 49. Using SPSS 23.0, descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis were performed. In order to test hypotheses, structural equational modeling technique was employed using AMOS 23.0. Results - First of all, fashion Social media quality consists of four factors including information quality, social quality , service quality and system quality. Second, fashion Social media information quality, social quality , and system quality were shown to have a positive(+) effect on information acceptance behavior, and social quality , service quality and system quality were shown to have a positive(+) effect on information diffusion behavior. It was also determined that the acceptance and diffusion behaviors of fashion information through fashion Social media had positive(+) influence on purchase intention. Conclusions - This study holds academic significance in its identification of the components of fashion Social media quality and for conducting an empirical analysis on the causal relationship between fashion information acceptance and diffusion behaviors, and purchase intention. The results of this study indicate that fashion involvement is the key factors in determining the quality of Social media, the acceptance of information through Social media, and, by extension, the purchase of fashion products. Practitioners in the fashion industry may use the findings of this study in order to build more effective Social media strategy.

        Purpose – This study aims to investigate domestic wine consumption behavior and make future sales strategies and marketing plans. Research design, data, and methodology – To achieve the purpose of the study, the surveys were conducted targeting 350 wine customers in Jeju and Seoul. 331 responses were collected, and out of them, 21 responses were deleted because they lacked the proper information fill in. A descriptive statistical analysis was applied to the remaining 310 responses. The statistical techniques used for carrying out hypothesis-testing are EFA_(exploratory factor analysis), multiple-regression analysis, and moderating effect in SPSS 18.0. Results – The results indicate that fashion oriented, sociality aspiration and rationality seeking lifestyles had significant influence upon internal attributes. However, well-being oriented and having enjoyment oriented lifestyle had no significant influence upon internal attributes. Furthermore, all the types of lifestyles except social aspiration lifestyles had a positive influence upon external attributes, whereas internal or external attributes had positive influence on customer satisfaction. Conclusions – The consumers who experienced wine purchases think wine selection attributes differ before and after experiencing wine drinking, and it shows that the circumstantial variables as purchase situations prove to be important predicted variables in the behavior field of wine consumers. It implies appropriate wine education according to the consuming trend about wine for wine consumers are needed.

        This study probed into some characteristics of the urban household such as household income, number of the household, age distribution of the family members, their characteristics of shopping behavior such as the shopping place, types of the packaging and the characteristics of the time series, using consumer panel data of the Rural Development Administration (RDA). It further examined how the above factors affect fruit purchasing prices and then estimates the degree of the influence by each factor. The study looked at the purchase of apples, pears, tangerines, and oranges - the most favorite fruits in Korea. The results of this study can be utilized as the basic information for marketing strategies and/or for the establishment of future policy plans related to fruits consumption.
