        In case an average accumulation of the investigated area is 200㎥/ha with cutting age of 80 years applied, annual workload will be 77ha and require 5 teams; each team consisting of 5 persons, enabling stabled supply of lumbers of 15,500㎥ every year. If one cutover is less than 2ha with cutting age of 80 years applied, it's possible to protect the peculiar ecology and secure stabled labor, workload and lumbering. It may become model forest out of tropical forest management which is controversial all over the world. Of course this presupposes construction of access roads.

        200종의 식물추출물을 대상으로 PEP 저해활성을 측정한 결과, 81종의 식물추출물은 10~30% 범위의 저해율을, 28종의 식물추출물은 10%이하의 저해율을 나타내어 총 200종의 식물추출물 중 약 55% 정도의 식물추출물이 30%이하의 낮은 PEP 저해활성을 나타내었다. 반면에, Prunus mume (매화나무) 잎 (95.3%), 노루발과 (Pyrolaceae)의 Pyrola japonica (노루발) 잎과 줄기 (93.2%), 물레나물과 (Hypericaseae)의 Hypericum ascyron (물레나물) 지상부 (90.2%), 범의귀과(Saxifragaceae)의 Astilbe chinensis var. typica (노루오줌) 지상부 (90.1%), 보리수나무과 (Elaeagnaceae)의 Elaeagnus umbellata (보리수나무) 잎과 줄기 (90.1%)등 5종의 추출물들이 5 ppm에서 PEP에 대하여 90% 이상의 강한 저해활성을 나타내었다.

        For the problems in executing rural development, recent recognitions are that discovery, preservation, and utilization of area-unique resource are unsatisfactory, that participation of local residents was neglected, and that approach to gradual refurbishment of houses and common space of town in consideration of existing spatial pattern of the town was not adequate. Especially, neglect for exact investigation, analysis and evaluation on rural local resources is bringing about social problems such as mass production of uniform rural area and loss of local identity. In this study, rural resources were listed and resource evaluation items was designed in order to establish development direction of rural village. According to these results, for the efficient and reasonable drive of the resource evaluation system, following items are required; A premise of local development by participation of local people, Development of diversely appliable resource evaluation clauses, Establishment of development type in connection with resource evaluation clauses, Systematic management of local resource through spreading DB resource. This research was loused on unearthing direction development of rural village and theme. However, what should be reconsidered through continuous study is that resource evaluation clauses are somewhat general and not concretely illustrated. Therefore establishment of characterized development is expected through clarifying local identity and presenting direction of local development, with the importance of resource and systematic analysis in planning on rural village in the future.

        The number of natural products obtained from plants has now reached over 100,000 and new chemical compounds are being discovered ever year. Medicinal and Aromatic plants and their extracts have been used for centuries to relieve pain, aid healing, kill bacteria and insects are important as the antifungal and anti-herbivore agents with further compounds being involved in the symbiotic associations. Although their functions in plants have not been fully established, it is Known that some substances have growth regulatory properties while others are involved in pollination and seed dispersal. The complex nature of these chemicals are usually produced in various types of secretory structures which is an important character of a plant family and also influenced and controlled by genetic and ecological factors. Detailed anatomical description of these structures ave relevant to the market value of the plants, the verification of authenticity of a given species and for the detection of substitution or adulteration. Volatile oils are used for their therapeutic action for flavoring of lemon, in perfumery of rose or as starting materials for the synthesis of other compounds of turpentine. For therapeutic purposes they are administered as inhalations of eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil, as gargles and mouthwashes of thymol and transdermally many essential oils including those of lavender, etc. With these current trend for using volatile components in essential oil will be increasing in the future in Korea and in the world as well.

        In order to investigate the possibility for use to control environmental pollution, Kenaf( Hibiscus cannabinus L.) was used to obtain information of their growth and CO₂ response under different temperatures and CO₂ concentration. The highest percentage of germination and aboveground dry mass of Kenaf were found at 30℃ and 35℃ by 89.0% and 3.2g, respectively under different temperatures. The amount of CO₂ absorption and aboveground dry mass production of Kenaf were higher than those of maize during the whole growing period and the last sampling of aboveground dry mass of Kenaf and maize were 252.9g and 200.8g, respectively. The highest plant height was found at 400ppm by 131.0㎝ and the next was in the order of 600ppm by 129.3㎝, and 800ppm by 108.8㎝. Leaf area was higher in the order of 400ppm>600ppm>800ppm, whereas leaf dry mass was in the order of 800ppm>600ppm>400ppm under different CO₂ concentration, showing that leaf became thicker as CO₂ concentration was increased. Days from seeding to flowering became shorter by 13 days in 35/25℃ compared with 25/15℃ between two temperature regimes and they also became shorter as CO₂ concentration was increased. Aboveground dry mass was higher in 35/25℃ than that of 25/15℃ between two temperature regimes, while it was increased in the order of 800ppm>600ppm>400ppm as CO₂ concentration was increased. Temporal changes of leaf dry mass during growth period showed no difference between CO₂ concentration in 25/15℃, but the highest of it was found at 800ppm in 35/25℃. The highest temporal increase of root dry mass was found at 800ppm in 25/15℃, but 35/25℃ showed no difference between different CO₂ concentration.
