본 시험은 제주지역에서 지렁이(100%) 시비량 차이(0, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 및 600kg/10a)에 따른 신나리 열무의 생육반응 및 수량을 검토하고, 지렁이분 적정시비량을 구명하기 위하여 2002년 11월 7일부터 2003년 3월 8일까지 시험하였다. 초장은 무비구에서 500kg/10a 시비구까지 30.3cm에서 37.77cm로 커졌고, 그 이상의 시비구에서는 작아졌으나 200kg/10a에서 600kg/10a 시비구까지는 유의

WC and dense WC-10 vol%Co materials with grain size of~1 were synthesized by high-frequency induction heated combustion synthesis (HFIHCS) method in one step from elemental powders of W, C and Co within several minutes. Simultaneous combustion synthesis and densification were accomplished under the combined effects of an induced current and mechanical pressure. In the absence of cobalt additive, WC can be formed, but its relative density was low (about 73%) under simultaneous application of a 60 MPa pressure and the induced current. However, in the presence of 10 vol.%Co, the relative density increased to 99% under the same experimental condition. The percentages of the total shrinkage occurring before and during the synthesis reaction of WC-10 vol.%Co were 5% and 51%, respectively. The fracture toughness and hardness values of WC-10 vol.%Co were 10 MPa . m and 1840 kg/, respectively.

형질전환 동물의 유선에서 특이적으로 인간 TPO가 발현되도록 고안된 pBT-L 외래유전자가 삽입되어 한 계통으로 확립된 형질전환 생쥐에서 이 유전자가 장기 세대까지 안정적으로 전이되고, 또한 발현 수준도 지속적으로 유지되는지를 조사 하였다 이를 위해 제 5세대의 수컷 pBT-L 형질전환 생쥐를 실험에 공시하였고, 제 10세대까지의 전이율과 인간 TPO의 발현수준을 분석하였다. 제 8세대 생쥐의 계대 번식에 의한 자손 중 51.3±18.98%가 형질전환 생쥐로 판명되었다. 또한 제9세대에서 외래 유전자의 전이율은 43.8±18.98%이었고, 제 10세대에서는 71.4±26.98%의 전이율을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과로 pBT-L 형질전환 생쥐는 그 외래유전자의 유전적 손상이 없이 장기 세대까지 안정적으로 전이되는 것으로 판단된다. 제 9세대외 10세대의 3마리의 암컷 형질전환 생쥐로 부터 유즙내 인간 TPO의 발현 수준을 분석하였을때, 그 농도는 모두 평균 1.1 mg/ml의 수준에서 측정되었다. 이러한 수준은 제 2세대의 것과 유사한 결과로 pBT-L 형질전환 생쥐에서 인간 TPO 유전자의 발현은 최소한 10세대까지 지속적으로 유지된다는 것을 알 수 있었고, 더 긴 장기 세대까지도 발현 수준이 유지될 것으로 추정된다. 이러한 연구결과는 계통으로 확립된 형질전환동물에 부여된 새로운 유전형질은 장기 세대까지 유전될 수 있음을 보여주는 것이다.

The spatial distribution of meteoroids or cometary debris along the orbit of the Earth is investigated by analyzing the meteoric records in the Chronicle of the Koryo dynasty (918-1392) which is called Koryosa. Sporadic meteors in this period show the seasonal variation in number, which is similar to the current meteors. We also found that there are a few spikes showing large accumulation of records around the same dates. We regard these spikes as meteor showers in the Koryo period. We compared the dates of meteor showers with those compiled from the historical records around the world including Korea, Japan, China, Arab, and European countries. We discovered three prominent showers and four weak showers. The prominent ones are the Leonids, the Perseids, and the Aquarids and the Orionids pair. The last pair is the remnants of Halley's comet. The astronomical records written in the history book of the Koryo dynasty are turned out to be accurate and written in a steady manner. We can also see that those records can be useful to contribute the development of modern astronomy and astrophysics.

Allergic rhinitis is characterized by rhinorrhea, sneezing and nasal obstruction. Allergic rhinitis increases because of developments of diagnostic techniqhe, environmental change, especially industrialization. Recently people have studied on allergic rhinitis. We studied 107 allergic rhinitis patients with SBJ from June. 2002 to December, 2002. There was a significant effect of SBJ on allergic rhinitis. So, we suggested the clinical effect of SBJ on allergic rhinitis.

ADAM은 metalloprotease/disintegrin domain을 가진 transmembrane glycoprotein 으로서 지금까지 30개 이상의 ADAM 및 10개 이상의 ADAMTS 단백질이 알려져 있다. 이들의 기능은 포유동물의 수정시 sperm-egg binding과 fusion, myoblast fusion, integrin과의 결합 등에 직접 관여하거나, TNF-alpha 등의 생체 신호전달물질이 세포로부터 분비될 때에 이들의 구조를 변화시켜 활성화시키는 효소작용, 그리고 dendritic cell differentiation 등에 관여하는 것으로 알려져있다. 그러나 자궁내막 조직에서의 유전자 및 단백질 발현 여부에 관해서는 거의 보고되어 있지 않고 있다. 먼저 RT-PCR 방법을 이용하여 자궁에서 mRNA의 양을 -actin의 양에 대하여 상대적으로 측정한 결과, 임신 1일부터 5일까지는 ADAM-9, 10, 17, TS1의 mRNA 경우 거의 비슷하게 발현되었으며 ADAM-8과 15는 3일째, ADAM-12는 2일째와 4일째에 현저하게 증가하였다 임신 6일부터 8일까지의 자궁조직을 각각 embryo가 착상된 곳과 그렇지 않은 곳으로 나누어 조사한 결과 상대적으로 착상이 된 곳에서 mRNA가 많이 발현 되었으며 특히 ADAM-8, 12, 15의 mRNA의 경우 현저한 차이를 보였다. Immunoblotting 방법을 이용하여 임신 1일부터 5일까지의 단백질의 발현 양상을 조사한 결과 임신 ADAM-8은 3일 이후 감소되는 양상을 보였으며 ADAM-9, 15, TS1은 5일째에 증가하는 양상을 보였다. ADAM-10은 2일째 감소하다가 다시 증가하고 ADAM-12, 17은 3, 4일째 증가하다가 5일째 감소하는 상을 보였다. 한편 임신 6일부터 8일까지는 embryo가 착상된 곳이 그렇지 않은 곳보다 조사된 모든 ADAMs 단백질이 상대적으로 많이 발현되는 양상을 보였다. 이러한 결과로 미루어 ADAMs은 임신 초기 착상과정과 임신 단계에 따른 자궁의 조직 재구성에 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 생각된다.
