본 논문의 목적은 교회 공간 활용을 분석하여 지역교회가 사회와 무엇을 공유하고 영향을 끼쳤는지를 밝히는데 있다. 이 목적을 위해 정동제일 교회를 택하여 해방 후 교회 공간이 어떻게 활용되었는지 신문, 보고서, 기사 등을 분석하였다. 여기에서 공간은 단지 물리적인 공간만이 아닌 인간의 활동과 공간적인 실천이 결합된 공간을 의미한다. 이것을 “사회적 공간”(social space)으로 부른다. 해방공간에서 다양한 단체와 기관들은 자신들의 활동을 위하여 공간이 필요했다. YMCA나 학교강당, 천도교 강당 등은 실내공간으로 선호도가 높았다. 특히 교회건물은 예배공간만이 아닌 다양한 활동 공간으로 사람들에게 제공되었다. 서울에 위치한 정동제일교회는 수도권에서 많은 사람들이 선호한 공간이었다. 김인영 목사가 재직하던 시기를 전후로 공간 활용도가 더욱 높았다. 그는 일제 강점기에 신흥우와 함께 YMCA와 적극신앙단에서 활동했으며, 해방 후에는 한국기독교연합회에서 활동했다. 기독교 정신 위에 대외적으로 활동했던 그의 행동은 정동제일교회 공간에서도 그대로 투영되었다. 비록 친일행적을 계기로 이전처럼 정치 일선에 나서지는 않았지만, 그는 시대적인 혼란을 극복하고 새로운 국가를 기대하며 시민사회에 공간을 제공하였다. 더 나아가 여러 시민단체들은 세계정세를 파악할 수 있도록 세계적인 석학이나 종교지도자들을 초청하여 시민들의 의식을 함양시켰다. 교회는 시민들의 다양한 욕구들 즉 문화적인 것, 경제적인 것, 결혼식과 장례식 등의 일상적인 것들을 위하여 공간을 제공하였다. 이것은 교회가 시민들의 생각과 욕구를 공유했음을 의미한다. 특히 이승만과 관련된 단체들에게 결집할 수 있는 공간을 제공함으로 그의 정치활동을 지원하였다. 반탁과 관련된 집회와 강좌는 서울지역의 우파를 결집시켰고, 전국대회를 성공적으 로 개최한 독촉국민회는 1948년 제헌국회에서 다수당이 되어 정국을 주도 하였다. 정리하면 정동제일교회 공간은 사회적 관심을 공유하는 것을 넘어서 새로운 국가 건설을 세우는데 그 힘을 결집시키는데 영향을 주었다는데 의의가 있다.

After the March First People’s Uprising, writers that included progressive patriots, independence activists and the broader masses created progressive literature that reflected the heights of the Korean people’s patriotic fervor and the national anti-Japanese struggle. In contrast, bourgeois writers went down the path of becoming reactionaries as their disappointment, sense of failure, weariness and despair led them to a literary world that was at once both empty and degenerate. Unlike the progressive works that flow with our people’s strong will and invincible spirit that refused to surrender in the face of guns and knives and gave them the strong resolve to achieve independence for their country, these corrupted literary works were reactionary in the sense that they emphasized feelings of depression, despair and pessimism in their portrayal of human beings faced with misfortune. These works, which reflect historical fact but are in sharp contrast to the Chuch’e ideological direction, portrayal of art and characters, and description of life in both content and convention, show how sharp and complicated the confrontation between progressive and reactionary literature was in our country’s modern literary world in the time leading up to and following the March First People’s Uprising.

The peninsula-wide March First Movement in 1919 demonstrated the cohesiveness of the Korean people and served as the opening chapter to a new history; the entire peninsula was flooded with protests for independence, and shocked by their intensity, the Japanese colonial government engaged in indiscriminate suppression. The March First Movement propelled demonstrations to be held as well in Northern Jiāndǎo (“Puk-kando”), situated north of the Tumen River.Thousands of demonstrators gathered on March 13 in Lóngjǐng to read the Declaration of Independence as part of the demonstration. Although dozens of people were injured due to the suppression by the Chinese armed forces (seventeen were killed), numerous demonstrations (currently known are fifty-eight) took place throughout Northern Jiāndǎo. A frontier region, Northern Jiāndǎo was a unique cultural space wherein Koreans who crossed into this borderland formed their own communities; with active ethno-nationalist education and religious propaganda, the region served as a nexus of ethno-national and anti-Japanese consciousness. In addition, due to the frequent exchanges between the Korean peninsula and the Maritime Province, Lóngjǐng in particular served as the cradle of ethno-national independence movements.

The independence movement during the Japanese Military Rule during 1910s was definitively not occlusive. Movements toward Korean independence continued both within and outside the peninsula during this period, and the energy of resistance was continually accumulating. Because of capabilities for autonomy, the March First Movement could respond more efficiently to international context after the end of World War I. Compared to the May Fourth Movement of China or the Rice Riots of Japan, the March First Movement was peculiar in that it was a relatively large-scale, pan-Korean independence movement. The experience of the March First Movement for the Korean people served as the fundamental matrix of subsequent independence movements and as part and parcel of their ethno-national, historical memory, was transported through liberation from Japan’s colonial rule down to today’s unification movement. Analysis of the specific plans for independence movements and the actual activities of the Korean national representatives vis-à-vis records of examination from the police, prosecution, and each level of the judicial court as well as pilot studies demonstrates that at the outset, the plans for the movement did not envisage pan-Korean demonstrations or coalition with students. The limitations of the independence movements by the national representatives were in fact overcome by the actual conduct of the masses that began at T’apgol Park on March 1, 1919.

This paper offers a discussion of the March First Movement of 1919 (MFM) through the lens of moral development. Central to the discussion is the moral development of the most well-known personality associated with the MFM, Yu Kwan-sun (1902-1920). After discussing Yu’s own moral development, I connect this discussion to another important but less well-known figure associated with the MFM, Lee Sŭnghun (1864-1930). As a chief organizer of the MFM, Lee Sŭnghun made it possible for Yu Kwan-sun to both display and further develop her virtues and moral energies during the MFM. A discussion of Lee Sŭnghun also enables us to appreciate the thread of moral energy that was spinning prior the MFM, and which blossomed into the MFM in large part due to his efforts. I close by briefly discussing another participant in the MFM, Louise Yim (Im Yŏngsin) (1899-1977). Like Yu Kwan-sun, Yim was imprisoned and tortured for her participation in the MFM. Unlike Yu, however, Yim survived and dedicated her adult life to the independence of her country and the education of its citizens. A deeper consideration of the individuals involved in the MFM can connect us in the present to their virtues and moral energies. To know these individuals is to be inspired and moved by them. Thus the stories of the individual participants in the MFM remain an important resource for international ethics.

이 연구는 대한민국에서 국제난민지원단체를 설립하고 20여 년간 난민 보호활동을 하고 있는 이호택 대표의 생애사 연구이다. Atkinson(1998a, 1998b)의 내러티브 탐구의 생애 이야기 면담 방법으로 7회에 걸쳐 생애사 텍스트를 생성하고, Adriansen(2012)이 제시한 ‘타임라 인 면담 분석’으로 코딩한 후, Lieblich 등(1998)이 제시한 ‘통합적 내용 접근’으로 리코딩 했다. 그의 생애 이야기의 독자성을(Lieblich et al., 1998) 일곱 가지 주제 곧, 난민처럼 인생의 가장 약한 지점에서 시작되는 이야기, 활동가의 길을 가게 한 생의 분기점과 결정적 만남, 대한민국 소수자 보호활동의 개척사를 쓴 개척자, 타인을 위해 생명을 나누고자 하는 사명자, 세상을 이해하며 삶이 뒷받침되는 공부를 추구하는 이유, ‘난민들의 피난처’라는 의미, 대한민국 활동가로서의 생애 비전과 좌우 이념을 오가는 통합 방식 등으로 구성할 수 있었다. 대한민국 1세대 난민 활동가의 생애사를 통해 대한민국 사회에서 난민 코드를 탈북 코드와의 접합 속에서 개인적, 구조적으로 정당화할 수 있었다.

In order to collect base line data for setting up bat boxes, we established a total of 30 bat boxes in 2017. The bat boxes were established on the sidewalls of overpass and on the inside of girder bridges. Since establishing bat boxes, we regularly confirmed whether or not they were used; in June 2018, we confirmed that a total of six bat boxes were being used by Pipistrellus abramus and Myotis aurascens. It was confirmed that P. abramus used one bat box each out of five bat boxes, and that many adult females of M. aurascens used a single bat box as a place for maternity roosts. This result is the first use case for setting up bat boxes across the country, and could be used as baseline data to build roosts for bats by setting up additional bat boxes in the future.

A Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI) for mesospheric observations was installed at King Sejong Station (62.2°S, 58.9°W) in Antarctica in 2017. For the initial validation of the FPI measurements, we compare neutral wind data recorded with the FPI with those from a Meteor Radar (MR) located nearby. The overall characteristics of the FPI and MR winds of both OH 892.0 nm (87 km) and OI 557.7 nm (97 km) airglow layers are similar. The FPI winds of both layers generally match the MR winds well on the observed days, with a few exceptions. The correlation analysis of the FPI and MR wind data shows that the correlation coefficients for the zonal winds at 87 and 97 km are 0.28 and 0.54, respectively, and those for the meridional winds are 0.36 and 0.54, respectively. Based on the assumption that the distribution of the airglow emissions has a Gaussian function with respect to the altitude, we calculated the weighted mean winds from the MR wind profile and compared them with the FPI winds. By adjusting the peak height and full width at half maximum of the Gaussian function, we determined the change of the correlation between the two winds. The best correlation for the OH and OI airglow layers was obtained at a peak height of 88–89 km and 97–98 km, respectively.

초등학교 1학년은 전이의 시기로서, 또래와 교사는 아동들의 사회적 관계형성에 주요한 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 지각된 인기에 미치는 또래와 교사의 영향을 살펴보기 위해 초등학교 1학년 아동 154명을 대상으로 사회적 행동과 지각된 인기의 관계에서 사회적 선호와 교사 선호의 매개효과를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 또래 지명법을 사용하여 공격성, 사회적 선호, 지각된 인기, 교사 선호를 측정한 후, Mplus 7.0을 사용하여 변인간의 관계를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공격성과 친사회성 모두 지각된 인기에 정적인 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 사회적 선호와 교사 선호는 지각된 인기에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 친사회성과 지각된 인기의 관계에서 교사 선호의 매개효과가 나타난 반면 공격성과 지각된 인기의 관계에서는 교사 선호의 매개효과가 나타나지 않았다. 넷째, 사회적 선호는 공격성과 친사회성이 지각된 인기와 가지는 관계를 모두 매개하였다. 본 연구결과는 전이시기인 초등학교 1학년 아동의 지각된 인기에 미치는 영향에 대해 사회적 참조자로서 또래와 교사의 역할을 심도 있게 논의하였다는데 그 의의가 있다.

간단한 규칙에도 불구하고 바둑은 인공지능 분야에서 가장 복잡한 전략적 보드게임 중의 하나이다. 몬테카를로 트리탐색(MCTS)은 최상우선 트리탐색 알고리즘으로 컴퓨터바둑 제작을 위해 사용되어 왔다. 저자는 9줄바둑판보다 작은 바둑판에서의 바둑게임 행위를 위해 MCTS를 활용하여 가장 유망한 첫 수를 찾고자 한다. 실험결과에 의하면 MCTS는 첫 수로 홀수형 바둑 판에서는 정중앙, 짝수형 바둑판에서는 중앙 부근에 착수하기를 선호하는 것으로 나타났다.

이 연구는 영아기 첫 자녀를 둔 어머니들이 문화센터에 참여한 경험과 그 의미를 탐색 하는데 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 본 연구에서는 영아기 첫 자녀를 둔 어머니 6명을 대상으로 2개월 동안 심층면담과 집단면담을 수행하였다. 수집된 자료는 면담자료 전사본과 연구 기간 동안 작성한 연구자 저널이다. 연구 결과, 어머니들은 문화센터 참여를 통해 ‘독박육아의 섬에서 탈출하기’, ‘교류 속에서 초보 엄마 한계 뛰어넘기’, ‘자녀 성장과 엄마 역할에 대한 불안함 떨쳐내기’, ‘교육세계로 입문하기’를 경험 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 어머니들의 경험은 ‘자녀와 영아교육에 관한 이해의 지평 위에서 비판적 시각 갖기’를 가져왔고, ‘부모로서 아이 중심의 교육적 신념 구성 하기’의 기회가 되었으며 ‘고립과 소통의 변주 속에서 행복한 육아 찾아가기’의 의미를 지니고 있었다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 토대로 국가와 지역사회에서는 영아 부모 및 영아교 육에 대한 이해와 지원을 넓혀 나가야 할 것이다.

Several bacterial species from the Burkholderia cepacia complex (Bcc) are opportunistic pathogens that lead to infections in patients with underlying lung disease, such as cystic fibrosis, as well as in immunocompromised individuals. Included in the Bcc, Burkholderia contaminans is an emerging pathogen in cystic fibrosis patients. However, this is the first report case of sepsis due to Burkholderia contaminans without cystic fibrosis in child. And we report that successful treatment of sepsis due to Burkholderia contaminans in the child, through antibiotic therapy.

This paper proposes functional test methods of first-aid gadgets which are special end-effectors, for relief robot. In recent years, researches have been actively conducted on robots that can perform rescue operations on behalf of rescue workers in dangerous areas such as disasters and wars. These special robots mainly perform the task of finding or transporting injured people. However, it is sometimes they necessary to provide first aid in the field. Among the various first-aid operations, gadgets are being developed for oxygen supply, injection, and hemostasis operations that can be used in a defense/civilian area by using robot technology. Previous studies have proposed first-aid gadgets that are suitable for onsite situations and enable robots to perform the given task quickly and accurately. In this paper, we design a test procedure suitable for the functions of first-aid gadgets, summarize the results, and introduce future research directions.

Background : During 2016 to 2017, Bacterial Rot symptom has been observed on Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz. in Yeongju-si, Mungyeong-si, Jecheon-si and Eumseong-gun. This experiment was carried out to identify pathogenic bacteria that has not been reported up to now from A. macrocephala and to test pathogenicity of isolated bacteria against A. macrocephala. Methods and Results : Nine types of representative bacteria strains depending on colony size and color were isolated from surface disinfested symptomatic tissue that was macerated and streaked onto lysogeny broth (LB) medium with agar. Fungi were not recovered from any tissue that was surface disinfested and placed into acidified potato dextrose agar. Only one strain cause dark brown leaf rot symptom on A. macrocephala leaves soaked in bacterial suspensions. Potted A. macrocephala plants were used to test for pathogenicity. Inoculum was prepared by suspending the bacteria in sterile distilled water (SDW) for a final concentration of approximately 105 CFU/㎖. Suspensions were sprayed until runoff onto three replicate plants. Control plants were sprayed with SDW until runoff. Plants maintained in a dew chamber with 100% relative humidity at 30℃. After 3 days, leaf rot lesions developed on all inoculated plants; lesions later turned dark brown and appeared similar to symptoms observed in the field. Plants treated with water developed no symptoms. Same bacteria re-isolated onto LB from symptomatic tissues. Conclusion : On the basis of 16S rRNA sequence analysis, the strain isolated from A. macrocephala was identified as Pseudomonas viridiflava. Biological assay method using Potted plants confirmed the pathogenicity of Pseudomonas viridiflava. This is the first report of bacterial rot caused by Pseudomonas viridiflava on A. macrocephala.

To ensure the successful launch of the Korea pathfinder lunar orbiter (KPLO) mission, the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) is now performing extensive trajectory design and analysis studies. From the trajectory design perspective, it is crucial to prepare contingency trajectory options for the failure of the first lunar brake or the failure of the first lunar orbit insertion (LOI) maneuver. As part of the early phase trajectory design and analysis activities, the required time of flight (TOF) and associated delta-V magnitudes for each recovery maneuver (RM) to recover the KPLO mission trajectory are analyzed. There are two typical trajectory recovery options, direct recovery and low energy recovery. The current work is focused on the direct recovery option. Results indicate that a quicker execution of the first RM after the failure of the first LOI plays a significant role in saving the magnitudes of the RMs. Under the conditions of the extremely tight delta-V budget that is currently allocated for the KPLO mission, it is found that the recovery of the KPLO without altering the originally planned mission orbit (a 100 km circular orbit) cannot be achieved via direct recovery options. However, feasible recovery options are suggested within the boundaries of the currently planned delta-V budget. By changing the shape and orientation of the recovered final mission orbit, it is expected that the KPLO mission may partially pursue its scientific mission after successful recovery, though it will be limited.

게임을 개발하는 단계에서 게임에 대한 이용자의 반응을 예측하는 것은 게임성 평가에 있어 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 게임 이용자의 반응을 알아보고자 게임 이용자의 생체 정보를 비침투 적인 방법으로 수집한 뒤, 분석할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다. 이를 위해 아두이노를 활용하여 피부 전도도, 압력, 자이로스코프, 가속도계 센서를 내장한 마우스와 분석 시스템을 새로이 개 발하였다. 이 시스템의 유용성을 검증하기 위해 피험자가 이 마우스를 사용해 1인칭 슈팅 게임 ‘오버 워치’를 플레이하는 실험을 진행하였다. 실험 결과 본 시스템이 게임 플레이 영상과 마우 스 내 여러 센서들로부터 수집한 생체 정보들을 활용하여 게임 이용자의 특징을 분석하는데 유 용하게 활용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

이 연구는 대한민국 제1공화국 속에서 태극기에 대한 국기 경례 방식으 로 인해 발생한 교회와 국가 간의 첨예한 갈등에 대하여 고찰하여 보았다. 해방을 맞이한 직후인 미군정기부터 한국 사회에서 시행된 국기 경례 방식 은 세이케이레이, 번역하여 최경례, 흔히 배례라고 불리우는 일본식 경례 방식이었다. 한국 기독교는 이와 같은 국기 배례에 대하여 민족적으로는 일제의 잔재라는 측면, 신앙적으로는 우상 숭배라는 측면, 종교적으로는 미신적이라는 측면 등 세 가지 이유 때문에 거부하였다. 이러한 국기 배례 거부 움직임은 해방 직후부터 손양원 목사를 필두로 해서 장로교회가 주도 하였다. 그렇지만 국기 배례는 대한민국 제1공화국이 수립되면서, 국가 지 상주의 혹은 민족 지상주의의 일환으로 한국 사회에서 더욱 강력하게 시행 되었다. 다시 말해 대종교인으로 초대 문교부 장관이었던 안호상이 종교의 식이 아닌 국가의식이란 명분하에 더욱 강력하게 시행한 것이다. 이렇게 국기 배례가 자리한 한국 사회에서 가장 빈번하게 시행된 공간은 일선 학 교들이었다. 이로 인해 특히 전국에서 산발적으로 교회에 출석하는 유년 주일학교 학생들이 국민학교에서 시행하는 국기 배례를 거부함으로 인하 여 수난을 당하였다. 그런 가운데 장로교를 넘어서 한국기독교연합회에서도 국기 배례에 대 한 거부 운동을 전개하였다. 그렇지만 궁극적으로 한국 기독교가 동일한 목소리를 낸 것은 아니었다. 특히 일제 강점기 신사참배를 종교의식이 아 닌 국가의식으로 받아들였던 감리교는 일제 강점기의 신학과 신앙 전통을 계승하여 국기 경례에 대해서도 종교의식이 아닌 국가의식으로 간주하였 다. 그리하여 국기 배례든, 혹은 국기 주목례든 간에 어느 것도 무방하다는 입장을 표명하였다. 그 직후, 1950년 4월 25일에 국기 배례 폐지 건이 국무 회의에 상정되었다. 국무회의에서는 국기에 대한 배례를 국기에 대한 주목 례로 변경하였다. 이와 같은 국기 경례 방식 변경은 이승만 대통령의 지원 이 결정적이었다. 이처럼 이승만 대통령이 지원하게 된 것은 지금까지 알 려진 바와 같이 한국 기독교의 지속적인 국기 배례 거부 운동도 한몫했지 만 지금까지 한국 기독교에서 잘 알려지지 않았던 두 수난 사건들이, 제 각각 그 결정적인 계기가 되었다는 개연성이 제기되고 있다. 그 하나는 국 기 배례 거부로 인하여 감옥에 수감되었던 안중섭 전도사의 수난과 또 다 른 하나는 국기 배례 거부로 인하여 위천교회 주일학교 학생들과 교사들이 겪은 대환난이다. 이 두 가지 수난 사건 모두 이승만 대통령에 이르기까지 제각각 수난 해결을 위한 인적 연결 고리를 제시하고 있다는 점에서 설득 력을 가지고 있다. 이런 측면에서 보면 국기 경례 방식에 대한 변경은 국 기 배례 거부로 인한 수난 속에서 그 해결 방안의 결과물이었다고 할 수 있다.

인공지능 연구에서 바둑은 위치평가의 어려움과 엄청난 분기수로 인해 가장 도전적인 보드게 임으로 여겨지고 있다. 몬테카를로 트리탐색은 이러한 문제점을 극복할 수 있는 고무적인 돌파 구이다. 알파고의 숨겨진 아이디어는 주어진 위치에서의 승률을 예상하여 깊은 탐색을 유도한 후 가장 고무적인 착수를 찾아내는 것이었다. 본 논문에서는 무전략 MCTS를 활용하여 9줄바 둑에서 프로기사들이 최상의 첫수로 여기는 천원점이 옳다는 것을 확인했으며, 또한 가장 유행 하는 첫 수들의 평균승률을 비교했다.
