This study examined the research on “media language” published in ≪Social Linguistics≫ from the first issue to Volume 27(4) in the viewpoint of research history. First, the media's language was divided into ‘newspaper language’, ‘broadcasting language’ and ‘communication language’ and the published papers were classified by period. Then each paper's achievements were analyzed over time. After analyzing detailed research topics and approaches for each media language and their main flow, individual papers' contents were reviewed. According to analysis results, the communication language research was most actively carried out during the same period. In the media language studies, he discussions were largely concerned with discourse analysis. discourse analysis. The communication language has also changed its aspect according to the change of the hardware and platform on which the communication is based. Media language research so far has focused on individual characteristics according to the unique properties of each medium. However recently, as 3 media such as newspapers, broadcasting and the Internet have been integrated into one, the media language research needs to be discussed from the viewpoint of “language integration.”
Yang Myung-hee, Kang Huisuk and Park Dong-geun. 2013. A Sociolinguistic Study on the name of Korean and Koreans' language attitudes toward the name: Focused on teenage high school students and their parents. The Sociolinguistic Journal of Korea 21(3). This paper aims to compare the characteristics of name and language attitudes towards name of teenage high school students and their parents. This thesis carried out a nationwide survey and as a result drew out several important conclusions.
First, the percentage of Sino-Korean name was the highest; the rate of the native name of teenage high school students is two times higher than that of their parents, and more male students had Sino-Korean name than female students.
Second, the percentage of parents taking part in the naming process was 60% in parents generation, whereas the percentage of parents and grandparents respectively taking part in the naming process were similar in teenage high school students. This result indicates that grandparents became to play a bigger role in the naming process due to their socio-economic status.
Third, the percentage of using the generation character(hangryeol) decreased in teenage high school students, indicating that people are not bound to traditions. Fourth, the rate of female parent who were unsatisfied with their names was the highest. It suggests that there was a social preference of a son to a daughter.
Fifth, the parents replied that the most desirable namer is father, followed by naming specialist, and students replied father followed by grandparents. Sixth, the number of students who answered that fetus names are necessary was two times bigger than their parents, and it seems likely that fetus names will be popular in the future as well. Hereafter, by carrying out nationwide surveys of different age groups(their late teens and 40's or 50's), this paper intends to study how the characteristics of Korean name and Koreans' language attitudes towards it changed through different age groups. Park, Dong-geun. 2012. Word formation of [X-남], [X-녀] in the internet communication language and its analysis of social value. The Sociolinguistic Journal of Korea 20(1). pp. 27-56 . From around 2005 till today there has been an increasing interest among people in the internet space. Indications of such a phenomenon is the trend of using [X-남], [X-녀] type words. These words newly categorizes and gives value to people and shows close relation with social phenomenon. In regard to word formation, [X-남] and [X-녀] have high productivity. First of all, [X-남], [X-녀] can easily be made into words that correspond to gender. Also quite many are made through inference. [X-남], [X-녀] type words sometimes form a paradigmatic relation in a semantic way. [X-남], [X-녀] type words can be classified as ‘ability’, ‘appearance’, ‘behavior’ and ‘attitude’ according to the meaning, and again as positive and negative social value. The number of [X-녀] is greater compared to that of [X-남], and cases of [X-녀] particularly show strong characteristics of female discrimination. The trend of [X-남] and [X-녀] are largely influenced by on-line media seeking to stimulate the reader‘s curiosity. It is also used as means for viral marketing by people with industrial motives. But above all, the usage of [X-남], [X-녀] type words have a strong nature of exposing social value.
The purpose of this study is to examine the change type and patterns in which a verb acquires a new meaning to indicate the action related to the computer upon the influx of computer media. When new concept arises upon the social and cultural exchanges with other countries, a new word representing the new concept is needed. However, a new word made from borrowing from foreign languages or synthesis or derivation is limited to a noun. But, since a verb is more limited in synthesis or derivation of new word compared to a noun, we usually use the existing verbs to represent the action or the behavior associated to a noun of new media. As it comes to the 21st century, the whole world experienced the rapid change caused by IT (Information Technology) revolution as much as Industrial revolution. As a result, huge amounts of IT-related words from influx of foreign languages have come or lots of new words have been created, respectively. In this process, there are many words different from the existing actions that we have done when using the hardware or software of IT-related equipments. The results brought considerable changes to the existing verbs. Therefore, this study focused on the meaning change patterns of verbs according to the behavior or action associated to the usage of computers representing the IT media. In this study, the patterns of meaning change were largely categorized into three as follows. (1) No meaning change, (2) Keep the selectional restrictions, (3) Break selectional restrictions. (1) This case is that a verb combines with a new noun upon the influx of computers and a situation can be inferred based on the primary meaning of a verb. (2) The action to use the computer is not existed, but a noun associated with it is used metaphorically. So, it seems to keep the selectional restrictions. (3)Since a verb acquires a totally different meaning, it seems to violate the selectional restrictions with noun argument
역병(Phytophthora capsici)과 세균성점무늬병(Xanthomonas euvesicatoria)에 복합저항성인 핵유전형 웅성불임계(Genic male sterile line, GMS)를 육성하기 위하여 역병 저항성 핵유전형 웅성불임계에 역병-세균성점무늬병 복합저항성 계통을 교배하여 작성한 조합의 와 세대에 대하여 두 가지 병에 대한 저항성 선발을 실시하였다. 역병 저항성은 잘 알려져 있는 KC294(CM334)와 KC263(AC2258)에서 도입하고, 세균성점무늬병 저항성은 KC47(PI24467)에서 도입되었다. 역병에 고도의 저항성을 지닌 GMS 계통이 얻어졌으며, 이들은 세균성점무늬병에도 양적으로 저항성을 나타낼 것으로 기대된다.
Sequencing Batch Reactor(SBR) experiments for organics and nutrients removal have been conducted to find an optimum anaerobic/anoxic/aerobic cycling time and evaluate the applicability of oxidation-reduction potential(ORP) as a process control parameter.
In this study, a 6 ℓ bench-scale plant was used and fed with night-soil wastewater in K city which contained TCODcr : 10,680 ㎎/ℓ, TKN : 6,893 ㎎/ℓ, NH_4^+ -N : 1,609 ㎎/ℓ, PO_4^3- -P : 602 ㎎/ℓ on average. The cycling time in SBRs was adjusted at 12 hours and 24 hours, and then certainly included anaerobic, aerobic and anoxic conditions. Also, for each cycling time, we performed 3 series of experiment simultaneously which was set up 10 days, 20 days and 30 days as SRT.
From the experimental results, the optimum cycling time for biological nutrient removal with night-soil wastewater was respctively 3hrs, 5hrs, 3hrs(anaerobic-aerobic-anoxic). Nitrogen removal efficiency was 77.9%, 77.9%, 81.7% for each SRT, respectively. When external carbon source was fed in the anoxic phase, ORP-bending point indicating nitrate break point appeared clearly and nitrogen removal efficiency increased as 96.5%, 97.1%, 98.9%. Phosphate removal efficiency was 59.8%, 64.5%, 68.6% for each SRT. Also, we finded the applicability of ORP as a process control parameter in SBRs.

The cycling time in SBRs was adjusted at 6 hours and 8 hours, and then certainly included anaerobic and aerobic conditions. Also, for each cycling time, we performed 2 series of experiment simultaneously which was set up 10 days and 20 days as SRT. The removal efficiency of COD_cr, was over 97% in all operating conditions. In the 6 hours cycling time, the removal efficiency of PO_4^3- -P reached almost 100% in steady state. And then we could observe a typical phenomena of phosphorus release and uptake, and the removal efficiency of N was 67%. Residual N source was almost TKN and most of the rest remained as NO_2^- -N. Also the difference in both SRTs was not observed practically. In the 8 hours cycling time, dissolution of sludge appeared. and, PO_4^3- -P was not nearly removed but nitrogen was removed up to 75%. And the residual nitrogen was accumulated as NO_2^- -N.

Batch experiments were performed to evaluate the effect of sludge acclimation and contact load on the behavior of phosphorus and organic substrates under anaerobic conditions. Four different sludges were acclimated in the sequencing batch reactors operated by intermittent aeration. All the experiments performed in a bench scale have shown the following results: 1. The unreleaseable phosphorus contents for four different sludges are the range of 16 ㎎ P/g SS to 24 ㎎ P/g SS, depending on the sludge acclimation conditions. 2. All the specific substrate uptake rates(SSUR) are expressed in the first order equation for releaseable phosphorus contents. The reaction rate coefficient, k, has the values of 4.0, 8.9, and 13.8 mg COD/㎎ P/hr, depending on the contact load and sludge species. 3. As reaction proceeds, the ratios of ΔP to - ΔCOD at high contact load are almost constant. in the range of 0.10 to 0.14, but at low contact load, they increase from 0.08 to 0.27.
A detachment of biofilm was investigated in an inverse fluidized bed biofilm reactor(IFBBR). The biofilm thickness, δ and the bioparticle density, ρ_pd were decreased by the increase of Reynolds number, Re and the decrease of biomass concentration, b_c. The correlations were expressed as δ=61.6+16.33b_c-0.04Re and p_pd=0.3+0.027b_c- 2.93x10 exp (-5)Re by multiple linear regression analysis method. Specific substrate removal rate, q was derived by F/M ratio and biofilm thickness as q=0,44+0.82F/M-5.1x10 exp (-4)δ. Specific biofilm detachment rate, b_ds, was influenced by F/M ratio and Reynolds number as b_ds=-0.26+0.26F/M+2.17x10 exp (-4)Re. Specific biofilm deachment rate in an IFBBR was higher than that in a FBBR(fluidized bed biofilm reactor) because of the friction between air bubble and the bioparticles.
