        인구구조 및 생활방식 등의 변화로 물 소비는 증가되고 있는 반면, 가뭄 등 기후변화로 가용수자원 여건은 악화되고 있어 안정적인 용수공급의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 우리 정부는 물의 재이용 촉진 및 지원에 관한 법률을 제정하고 하수처리수 재이용, 중수도, 빗물이용 등 지속가능한 물 순환을 추진하며 지역적 물 부족을 해소하기 위하여 노력하고 있다. 정부는 물 재이용 관리체제를 강화하고 시설기반을 구축하는 한편 관련 산업 육성과 전문인력 양성을 위해 노력해 왔다. 하지만 국내 물 재이용은 여러 가지 정책⋅재정⋅기술적 한계로 인해 계획대비 더디게 진행되고 있어 물 재이용 방향성의 재정립이 필요하다. 이에 본 발표를 통해 물재이용의 방향에 대하여 하수처리수 재이용을 중심으로 제언하고자 한다.

        Due to the industrialization and urbanization, the transport of hazardous materials increases, which rises possibilities in occurring prospective accidents in terms of hazardous material transport as well. This study applied the model developed from the previous research to analyze the scale of damage areas from the accidents related to hazardous material accidents, as well as suggested a method to measure automatically the scale of accident including casualties and environmental damage based on the guideline which suggests the quantities of hazardous materials exposed from an accident and was defined in the study of standardization for hazardous material classification. A buffering analysis technique of Geographic Information System (GIS) was applied for that. To apply the model which evaluates the scale of population and exposure to environment on each link, rail network, zones, rail accident data, rail freight trips, and locations of rivers etc were complied as a database for GIS analysis. In conclusion, a method to measure damage areas by the types of hazardous materials was introduced using a Clip and a Special Join technique for overlay analysis.

        Dynamic characteristics of large civil infrastructures have been monitored for safe operation and efficient maintenance of the structures. To measure vibration data, the conventional system uses cables causing very expensive costs and inconvenience for installation. Therefore, various wireless sensor nodes have been developed to replace the conventional wired system. However, there remain lots of issues to be resolved such as power supply, data loss, data security, etc. In this study, smart distributed sensor node (SDSN) was developed to measure vibration data. The SDSN is basically timely synchronized one-channel data acquisition system. It consists of its local time clock with high accuracy and SD memory card or local data storage. It is designed for temporal measurement, not long-term monitoring, since it can operate several hours using embedded batteries. Laboratoy tests were carried to verify the performance of the developed SDSN compared with conventional wired sensors. Several application examples for large civil infrastructure were also suggested.

        For maintenance of existing bridges, it is very important to identify the current state of bridge. In order to evaluate load rating of a bridge, real behavior characteristics of bridge obtained by analyzing the measured data and static/dynamic responses calculated through numerical analysis are needed. However, evaluating current state and/or load rating of bridge is not easy, because there are many difficulties in measuring bridge behaviors and making accurate FE model. The Korea Expressway Corporation has developed the ‘Smart Load Rating Method’ for bridge which is able to evaluate the current state of bridge with dynamic properties and has been applying in Highway bridges. In this study, we have successfully fulfilled analyzing dynamic properties and evaluating the state of an old steel gerber bridge in Texas USA by using the Smart Load Rating method

        In this paper, a research was performed to estimate dynamic characteristics of bridges using wireless sensors. First, the developed wireless sensors were compared with wired sensors through laboratory tests. Field tests were carried out on a steel box girder bridge. Dynamic characteristics of the test bridge were identified from the measured data by wireless sensors. As a result, it was proven that the wireless sensor system could be effectively applied to the measurement of large civil-infra structures.
