        We analyzed the variation in occurrence time and intensity of attacks by the rice stem borer (Chilo suppressalis Walker) on several crops. This study aimed to understand how C. suppressalis damages crops and to utilize this basic data for the establishment of environment-friendly control methods like pheromone traps. This study surveyed the changes in occurrence patterns of C. suppressalis, biological characteristics of overwintering larvae, and the efficacy of different types of pheromone traps the years. We found similar occurrence patterns of C. suppressalis in different crops. In addition, occurrence time of the first generation was advanced. Overwintering larvae showed no difference in pupal period and weight compared to the non-overwintering ones. However, the larval period was reduced to 19.1 days in Miscanthus field, in contrast to that in the paddy fields. It was confirmed that larvae of C. suppressalis generally prefer the lower part of the stems of Miscanthus. Efficiency of the emergence trap was confirmed to be greater than that of the delta trap for capturing C. suppressalis adults. However, it is necessary to adjust the control period because of the advancement in occurring time of C. suppressalis in recent years. The larvae of C. suppressalis experience favorable environmental conditions for overwintering in Miscanthus fields. The major Miscanthus fields are generally located in the areas protected for sources of drinking water, owing to which spraying of chemical pesticides is very limited. The results of this study provide important inputs for the development of environment-friendly control methods.

        Bacterial fruit blotch (BFB) is one of most important diseases in Cucurbitaceae due to infection of Acidovorax citrulli, causing huge economic losses damage worldwide. This seedborn disease spread rapidly at period of high temperature and humidity. The eco-friendly farming is getting popular. So far there was no effective agent to control BFB in eco-friendly farming. Therefore, effect of the material based on chinese nut-gall extract with antibacterial activity against BFB to was tested against A. citrulli. Different hosts showed various symptoms of BFB. Liquid formulation among exhibited most effective anti-bacterial activity on A. citrulli. Pot experiment in greenhouse showed the potential as an control agent of BFB in cucurbits. The treatment of material based on chinese nut-gall extract showed the positive effect on survival of the watermelon seedling and on the length of the cucumber seedling treated with A. citrulli. We cautiously conclude that the material based on chinese nut-gall extract used in this study may be good agents against major diseases of cucurbits in the future even though it is require to be tested with more study on field test.

        Barley yellow mosaic virus (BaYMV) is transmitted by a root-inhabiting Polymyxa graminis (P. graminis) and thus the disease is called “soil-borne”. In this study, the presence of P. graminis was confirmed by PCR test based on specific sequences of P. graminis type Ⅰ (P. graminis f. sp. temperata) Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS). P. graminis was detected in the BaYMV infected soil and root of barley plants. The monitoring of P. graminis was conducted in March 2015 in 8 korean provinces. It was detected in the soil of all collected regions. This is the first report on a P. graminis a survey of Korea.

        The elastic modulus of high-strength steel fiber reinforced concrete was measured 37 GPa to 41.98 GPa. Comparing the difference value of the measured stress and the stress calculated by the regression analysis results were within ± 1 MPa. Measured data acorrding to applied LPF was more stable than unapplied LPF data. but, it was slightly different.

        본 연구에서는 국내에서 생산되고 있는 콘크리트용 순환 굵은골재를 사용하여 콘크리트의 압축강도 수준(20, 35, 50 MPa)에 따라 순환 굵은골재의 혼입률 변화가 콘크리트의 염화물 확산특성에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 실험결과 순환 굵은 골재의 치환율 변화에 따른 유 동성(슬럼프)은 순환골재를 혼입하지 않은 경우에 비해 동등하거나 양호한 유동성을 나타내는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 영향은 국내에서 생산 되는 순환골재의 양호한 입형이 유동성 개선에 기여한 것으로 판단된다. 또한, 순환 곩은 골재의 치환율 변화에 따른 압축강도는 순환골재 혼 입률이 증가할수록 약 9~10% 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 염화물 확산계수는 순환골재 혼입률이 증가함에 따라 최대 144%까지 증가하 는 결과를 나타냈으며 낮은 강도 수준의 콘크리트 일수록 순환골재 활용에 따른 내염성 저하 정도가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 강도가 증가할수록 순 환골재 혼입에 따른 영향은 감소되어, 고강도 영역에서는 일반 콘크리트와 유사한 염화물 확산 특성을 발현하는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 순 환골재를 콘크리트용 재료로 대량 활용하기 위해서는 콘크리트의 내염성 개선을 위한 혼화재료의 적용 또는 배합설계상 조정을 통한 강도의 개선 등이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

        본 연구는 플라이애시 및 고로슬래그를 활용하여 알칼리 활성화 결합재로 제조된 모르타르 및 페이스트 샘플의 황산염 저항성을 평가하고 황산염 침투에 대한 고저항성 결합재를 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 플라이애시 및 고로슬래그미분말 등의 광물질 혼화재를 결합 재로 활용하여 고로슬래그미분말 치환율을 0, 30, 50 및 100%로 제작하였다. 규산나트륨 모듈 Ms[SiO2/Na2O]은 1.0, 1.5 및 2.0으로 조정하였 으며, 초기 24시간 양생조건을 23°C 및 70°C로 하고, 10% 황산나트륨 및 10% 황산마그네슘 용액에 각각 침지시키고, 황산염 저항성을 평가하 기 위하여 압축강도, 질량변화율, 길이변화율 및 X선 회절분석을 측정하였다. 그 결과 고로슬래그미분말 치환량 및 Ms비가 증가할수록 재령 28일 압축강도 발현이 우수한 결과가 나타났다. 10% 황산나트륨에 침지한 경우에는 모든 시험조건에서 장기적인 강도발현과 질량 및 길이변 화율이 작아 황산나트륨 침투에 대한 저항성이 우수한 것으로 나타났으나, 10% 황산마그네슘에 침지한 경우에는 장기적인 강도저하와 질량 및 길이변화가 크게 나타났으며, 그 경향은 고로슬래그미분말 치환량 및 Ms비가 증가할수록 현저하였다. 이것은 황산마그네슘의 경우 규산마 그네슘수화물의 생성으로 인한 열화가 지배적으로 작용한 결과로 판단된다. 또한, X선 회절분석 결과 MgSO4 용액 침지에서의 알칼리 활성화 결합재의 팽창은 Gypsum(CaSO4․2H2O) 생성 반응에 의한 것으로 확인되었으며, 침지 6개월까지는 Gypsum의 생성이 지속적으로 증가되는 것 을 알 수 있다.

        Virus disease surveys on barley cultivation areas in Jeonnam ․ Jeonbuk ․ Gyungnam ․ Gyungbuk-do were conducted during 2014-2015. In this study, we detected Barley yellow mosaic virus (BaYMV), Barley mild mosaic virus (BaMMV) and Soil-borne wheat mosaic virus (SBWMV) by RT-PCR from barley leaves. These viruses are of great economic importance for wheat and barley, causing significant quantitative and qualitative losses in yield. The result of investigation showed that the field incidence of BaYMV in Buan, Gimje was more than 90% in 2014. The infection field rate of barley virus including Boseong, Gangjin, Haenam, Jangheung in Jeonnam was ≈ 30%. In 2014, double infections by BaYMV and BaMMV was detected in Boseong, Gangjin, Haenam and Jangheung. Only as a low rate BaYMV occurred in various fields of Jeonbuk in 2015. At the same time high infection field ratio of 70% was observed in Gunsan. Also in Yeonggwang was double infection of BaYMV and BaMMV. BaYMV occurred single infection has been confirmed in all of the study area of Gyungbuk and Gyungnam except for Goseong during the investigation period.

        Purpose of this study is investigates mechanical property of Chemically Bonded Phosphate Ceramic(CBPC). For the purpose of the investigation of mechanical property, compressive stress and length change ratio were evaluated. Evaluated results of compressive stress was shown that compressive stress increased depending on aging time. On the other hand, length change ratio decrease depending on aging time.

        Effects of recycled fine aggregate on the behavior of cement-based mortar were evaluated with different compressive strengths through experiments. It can be observed that recycled fine aggregate can be useful to fabricate precast concrete products in terms of having mortar strength equivalent to natural aggregate.

        This study investigates engineering characteristic of recycled aggregate concrete which incorporated various amount of recycled aggregate(0%, 30%, 50%, 100%). For the purpose of the investigation of engineering characteristic, compressive stress and air content, slump were evaluated. Evaluated results of compressive stress was shown that compressive stress and slump decreased depending on amount of recycled aggregate increased. On th other hand, air contents increased depending on amounts of recycled aggregate decreased.

        This study was performed an evaluation of mechanical properties of cold in-place road pavement using waste asphalt aggregate and green binder. As the results of study, The difference between marshall stability and flow is insignificant according to binder and admixture type. Thus, use of GBC and admixture is possible as using material of cold in-place asphalt concrete for road pavement.
