        The Crassulaceae family displays extensive morphological diversity and complex evolutionary trajectories across its constituent genera. These attributes significantly challenge the reconstruction of intrafamilial phylogenetic relationships. While chloroplast and nuclear DNA markers are widely used for phylogenetic analyses, mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) remains underutilized, despite its demonstrable potential as a taxonomic marker. Sequence variation in the mitochondrial nad7 intron was analyzed across six species representing two genera (Phedimus and Sedum) native to Korea. The objective was to assess genetic diversity and determine whether the nad7 intron could effectively augment existing chloroplast and nuclear DNA markers as a taxonomic tool. Target amplicon length spanned 974 to 998 base pairs (bp). Multiple sequence alignment of the six Crassulaceae species from Phedimus and Sedum identified single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), insertions/deletions (INDELs), and dinucleotide polymorphisms, interspersed with conserved nad7 intron regions. Interestingly, an INDEL at positions 189–192 exhibited a diagnostic genus-level pattern, facilitating the unambiguous separation of Phedimus and Sedum. This outcome is consistent with established morphological and chloroplast DNA–based classifications. Collectively, these findings validate the mitochondrial nad7 intron as a promising supplementary molecular marker for taxonomic classification and genetic resource conservation within Crassulaceae.

        This study aims to reinterpret the concept of mimesis within a digital context and propose a prototype design for a web-based performance simulation platform. The proposed platform is designed to enable stage directors to pre-visualize elements such as stage setup, actor movements, sound, and lighting within a virtual environment, thereby enhancing the efficiency and creativity of performance planning. The prototype was designed to enable interaction among performance elements by incorporating 3D modeling of a proscenium stage, integrating motion-capture-based FBX data, and utilizing timeline-based control. Furthermore, it features a real-time 3D rendering architecture leveraging Three.js and WebGL, allowing it to run seamlessly in a web browser without additional plugins. This research is significant as it establishes a conceptual foundation demonstrating the potential for integrating performing arts with digital technology. Future research should involve practical implementation and field validation to confirm its real-world utility.

        This study identified the effects of factors related to physical fashion brands’ sales promotions on consumers’ reactions and purchase intentions, while also determining the differences in these effects according to the consumers’ generations and genders. For the empirical analysis, the study used SPSS and AMOS 25.0, with frequency analysis, EFA, reliability analysis, CFA, SEM analysis, and multiple-group comparison analyses also performed. The results of multiple-group comparison analyses of the generation groups showed that the effects of consumers’ affective reactions on their purchase intentions differed between the MZ generation(a generational group comprising the millennial generation and Gen Z) and active seniors, with the influence on the active seniors group greater than on the MZ generation group. The effects of cognitive reaction on purchase intention also differed between the two groups, with the influences on the active seniors group again greater than on the MZ generation, moreover the result was significant only for the active seniors group. The influence of affective reactions on purchase intention also differed in the result of the comparison of gender groups, with the impact greater for male consumers than for female consumers. Finally, the effect of cognitive reactions on purchase intention was greater for female consumers than male consumers, with the result significant only for female consumers. Based on these findings, the study recommends adopting different sales promotion strategies for each consumer group to induce positive purchasing behavior.

        본 연구는 비방사성 SrCl2를 이용하여 Sr 농도를 50, 100, 200mg·kg-1 및 토양 유기물 함량을 5%, 10% 및 15%로 달리하여 배추의 생육, 생체중, 엽록소 함량에 미치는 영향을 생육 시기별로 분석하였다. 그 결과, Sr 농도가 증가할수록 초장, 근장, 엽면적, 생체중 및 건물중이 유의하게 감소하였으며, 특히 Sr 200mg·kg-1 처리에서 생육 저 해가 뚜렷하였다. 반면, 엽록소 함량(SPAD)은 처리 간 유의한 차이를 보이지 않아 광합성 색소에는 Sr의 영향이 제 한적인 것으로 나타났다. 유기물 함량이 높은 토양에서는 Sr 처리에 따른 생육 저해가 완화되었으며, 특히 유기물 15% 조건에서 완충 효과가 가장 크게 나타났다. 이는 유기물이 Sr의 생물유효도를 감소시켜 식물체 흡수를 억제하 는 기작에 의한 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구는 비방사성 SrCl2를 이용한 실험을 통해 작물의 Sr 독성 반응과 유기물 기 반 토양 완충 효과를 정량적으로 규명하였으며, 향후 방사성 오염 토양의 생물학적 복원 및 안전 농산물 생산 전략 수립에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다.

        The Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) is a zoonotic pathogen that affects the nervous systems of humans, pigs, and horses. It has been classified into five genotypes (G1-G5) based on molecular analysis of the pre-membrane or envelope gene. In the Republic of Korea, the predominant JEV genotype has recently shifted from G3 to G1 and G5, highlighting the need for a rapid and accurate diagnostic method. In this study, we designed specific common and differential primer sets for JEV G1, G3, and G5 to detect the JEV gene. Four specific primer sets for JEV G1, G3, and G5 were used to selectively amplify the target gene. The detection limits of the common primer set for JEV G1, G3, and G5 were 100, 0.1, and 10 TCID50/reaction, respectively. The detection limits of the three differential primer sets were 1, 0.1, and 1 TCID50/reaction, respectively. No cross-reactivity was observed with non-JEV reference viruses. We successfully developed a multiplex reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assay to distinguish the three JEV genotypes. Our multiplex RT-PCR assay is highly sensitive and specific, providing a reliable tool for confirming JEV infection in suspected samples. Additionally, our assay can be applied to suspected mosquito samples and commercial veterinary biological products.

        Although the proportion of coal-fired power generation is decreasing, efficient operating technology is needed to continuously invest in facilities and reduce maintenance costs until it is abolished. Boilers, one of the main facilities of power plants, operate for a long time in harsh environments of high temperature and high pressure. In addition, damage due to deterioration is likely to occur depending on the fuel and tube material used. It is very important to judge soundness because damage caused by deterioration adversely affects facility operation. Previously, replication method was used to analyze the progress of deterioration. In the replication method, pre-treatment such as chemical treatment is performed on the boiler tube in the field, the area is reproduced by attaching a film, and the replicated film is determined by an expert in the laboratory with an expensive microscope. However, this method involves substantial costs and time requirements, as well as the possibility of human errors. To address these issues, we developed a mobile health assessment system in this research. Since it is detachable and takes images in real time, this system enables swift evaluations across a broad range and facilitates the assessment of preprocessing quality. In addition, it was intended to reduce existing human mistakes by developing a degradation classification algorithm using the merger cluster method.

        The pitch-based activated carbons were prepared with KOH/KMnO4 as a multiple function activation agent to increase the specific capacitance of a supercapacitor electrode active material. And the porous structure and electrochemical properties of activated carbon were analyzed on varying amounts of KMnO4. KMnO4 was decomposed into K2O, MnO, and O2 at the activation temperature of KOH, and MnO was introduced to activated carbon. K2O/ O2 reacts with a surrounding pitch to generate micropores and forms a pathway that exposes MnO to the outside. It also affects to the specific surface area of activated carbon like KOH chemical activation. The enhanced specific surface area and introduced MnO in activated carbon led to a 28.9% increase in specific capacitance.
