        The recent increase in crude oil trading has led to an increase in the workings of SPM for crude oil carriers. VLCCs generally encounter difficulty entering port due to limitations in terms of sea depth and maneuverability. The SPM is a system that allows mooring to the buoy located in the outer sea for such vessels. However, the buoy is more affected by relatively external forces because of their offshore location. Therefore, the safety assessment of SPM is particularly important as it can lead to large oil pollution disasters in the event of SPM accidents. Despite this, in the implementation of the Marine Traffic Safety Audit Scheme in Korea, there exists no guidance for SPM. In this study, a SPM mooring safety assessment is performed using OPTIMOOR, a numerical analysis program, so as to understand the mooring characteristics of SPM. As a result, it is confirmed that the tension of mooring lines and hull movement in the SPM are greatly affected by the encounter angles with external forces. In addition, it is found that the maximum tension of the mooring line is elevated as the water depth becomes shallower through sensitivity analysis. According to SPM characteristics, which has a large influence on the encounter angle, this study has proposed an amendment to setting criteria in the implementation of the Maritime Traffic Safety Audit Scheme which could improve the reliability and accuracy of mooring safety assessments.

        국내에서 배스낚시는 하나의 해양레저 스포츠로서 자리매김하고 있다. 국내 배스 낚시협회는 총 4곳이 있으며 각 협회당 매년 10~15회의 토너먼트 대회를 개최하는 등 수요가 높은 편이다. 그러나 국내 대회에서 선호되는 17ft 이상 급의 배스보트의 경우 현재 100 % 수입에 의존하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 해외실적선 자료를 바탕으로 통계분석을 통해 18.5ft급 경기용 배스보트의 초기 선형 개발을 위한 주요제원을 도출하였다. 또한 활주선의 저항 및 활주성능에 큰 영향을 미치는 선저경사각 및 종방향 무게중심에 따른 CFD 수치해석을 수행하였다. 수치해석의 경우, 설계 속도인 Fn=3.284(Re=9.858×107)에 대해서 수행하였고, 선저 경사각은 12~20°, 종방향 무게중심은 부력중심으로부터 선미방향으로 0~8%LWL의 범위로 설정하였다. 수치해석 결과를 바탕으로, 1차적으로 저항성능과 침수용골 길이를 바탕으로 범위를 설정한 후, Savitsky의 Drag-Lift ratio의 상관그래프를 이용하여 최적 트림각에 근접한 선저경사각(14~16°), 종방향 무게중심위치(4~6%LWL)의 범위를 도출하였다.

        In this research, we have calculated characteristics of wave-piercing high-speed planing hull, by using a RANS solver and overset grid method, for comparing with experimental measurements of that and simulating with several appendages, since the computed results of commercial CFD code look reasonable for the prediction of the performances of planing hulls on calm water in planing conditions. As a result, it is confirmed that the dynamic instability phenomena in pitch and heave motions (porpoising) occurred after a certain FnV, and effectively suppressed using some of appendages, especially the 0.5L spray rail is suppressed to 24-55 % in the pitch motion and 33-55 % in the heave motion. In spray phenomenon, 1L hard chine suppress spray effectively and it is effective to set the angle of appendages to be less than 0° in order to suppress wave.

        Control allocation is an important part of a system. It implements the function that map the desired command forces from the controller into the commands of the different actuators. In this paper, the authors present an approach for solving constrained control allocation problem in vessel system by using multi-parametric quadratic programming (mp-QP) algorithm. The goal of mp-QP algorithm applied in this study is to compute a solution to minimize a quadratic performance index subject to linear equality and inequality constraints. The solution can be pre-computed off-line in the explicit form of a piecewise linear (PWL) function of the generalized forces and constrains. The efficiency of mp-QP approach is evaluated through a dynamic positioning simulation for a vessel by using four tugboats with constraints about limited pushing forces and found to work well.

        Adsorption process is largely influenced by pore structures of adsorbents and physical properties of adsorbates and adsorbents. The previous studies of this laboratory was focused on the role of pore structures of adsorbents. And we found some pores of adsorbates which have larger pore diameters than the diameter of adsorbate are filled with easily. In this study the effects of physical and chemical properties of adsorbates and adsorbents, such as pore size distribution, vapor pressure on adsorption were investigated more thoroughly at the concentration of adsorbate of 1000 ppm. The adsorption in the pore ranges of 2~4 times of adsorbates's diameter could be explained by space filling concept. But there was some condensation phenomena at larger pore ranges. The errors between the adsorbed amount of non-polar adsorbates and the calculated amounts by considering factors were found to be 44.46%, positively, and -142%, negatively. When vapor pressure is considered, the errors between the adsorbed amount of non-polar adsorbates and the calculated amounts were in the range of 1.69%~32.25% positively, and negatively -1.08%~-63.10%.
