        This study was conducted to determine the impact of smoke-free regulations on the environment in personal computer(PC) rooms by measuring indoor levels of particulate matter smaller than 2.5 μm(PM2.5) before and after the implementation of the regulations. PM2.5 concentrations of 34 PC rooms in Seoul were measured before and after the regulations took effect. A real-time monitor was used to measure PM2.5 concentrations. A field technician recorded the characteristics of PC rooms including indoor volume, number of floors, and the presence of a smoking room and counted the number of burning cigarettes, cigarette butts, vents, and patrons. While outdoor PM2.5 concentrations and the number of patrons were not changed, indoor PM2.5 concentrations, the number of burning cigarettes and cigarette butts in PC rooms were significantly decreased after the regulations were implemented (p < 0.001). Geometric mean(GM) of indoor PM2.5 concentrations in the PC rooms was 139.6 μg/m3 before the regulations took effect and 55.7 μg/m3 after the regulations implemented. After the regulations, smokers were observed in 11 of the 34 PC rooms in which PM2.5 concentrations were not significantly decreased(p = 0.18). When smokers were not observed after the regulations, the GM of indoor PM2.5 concentrations was 37.2 μg/m3. Although PM2.5 concentrations in some PC rooms were decreased after the regulation, higher PM2.5 concentrations were observed in PC rooms with smokers. As such, compliance with the smoke-free regulations should be strictly ensured to achieve a better indoor air quality.

        This study was aimed at integrating English novels into a Korean high school English curriculum. To accomplish the objective, the study adopted diverse post-reading activities using an English novel, The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau. Data were collected from diverse sources such as students’ worksheets, transcripts of students’ presentation, answers to survey questions, and the teacher’s field note. The results of the study are as follows: First, there were some educational effects when an English novel with diverse post-reading activities was used in high school English classrooms. Students showed a positive attitude toward the class and expressed satisfaction in terms of classroom management. Second, students responded to the novel through diverse post-reading activities. For example, students had opportunities to reflect on their lives, became active in solving problems, and deepened their thoughts through discussion. Based on the results of this study, suggestions for future studies are provided.

        While IMO’s e-Navigation project’s scope is to enhance safety of navigation by improved shipto- shore-cooperation, the EU’s FP7 project MUNIN’s aim is to develop a concept for an autonomous dry bulk carrier, that is at least as safe as a manned vessel. As e-Navigation has a strong focus on improving the human element in shipping and MUNIN tends towards an unmanned bridge, a common baseline might look quite contradictory at first, but they share the need to ensure and enhance the safety of navigation. After an introduction into e-Navigation and the MUNIN project, this paper will demonstrate with two examples, how MUNIN’s results address identified e-Navigation’s gaps and addresses e-Navigation’s user needs. Thus, MUNIN contributes to the development and implementation of the prioritized e-Navigation solutions.

        선박 및 해양구조물의 화물 중 많은 수가 가연성, 휘발성의 석유 및 석유 가공 화물이다. 뿐만 아니라 컨테이너 박스, 벌크화물, 차량 등의 중량 화물이 그 나머지를 차지한다. 게다가 선박은 파랑, 해류 등의 하중을 주기/비주기적으로 받기 때문에 화물의 위치 및 이동 가능성이 존재한다. 그렇기 때문에 선상 사고 위험은 육상의 산업현장 보다 훨씬 크다. 선박 및 해양구조물은 화물 및 화물의 영향으로 인한 사고 위험성이 항시 존재하기 때문에 그 모니터링과 대비가 반드시 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 선상에서 선원 및 작업자의 안전을 보장하기 위해 무선센서네트워크를 도입하여 모니터링 시스템을 구축하기 위한 연구를 진행하였다.

        In this research we investigate motion controller performance for mobile robots according to changes in the control loop sampling time. As a result, we suggest a proper range of the sample time, which can minimize final posture errors while improving tracking capability of the controller. For controller implementation into real mobile robots, we use a smooth and continuous motion controller, which can respect robot’s path curvature limitation. We examine motion control performance in experimental tests while changing the control loop sampling time. Toward this goal, we compare and analyze experimental results using two different mobile robot platforms; one with real-time control and powerful hardware capability and the other with non-real-time control and limited hardware capability.

Defining Internet of Thing, it plays the role of a connector of providing various information required for the decision-making of companies in the cloud computing environment for the Insight usage by collecting and storing Raw Data of the production site through the sensor network and extracting big data in which data is accumulated and Insight through this. In addition, as the industry showing the largest linkage with other root industries among root industries, the mold industry is the core technology for controlling the quality and performance of the final product and realizing the commercialization of new industry such as new growth power industry etc. Recently, awareness on the mold industry is changing from the structure of being labor-intensive, relying on the experience of production workers and repeating modification without the concept of cost to technology-intensive, digitization, high intellectualization due to technology combination according to IT convergence. This study, therefore, is to provide a golden opportunity to increase the direct and indirect expected effects in poor management activities of small businesses by actually implementing and managing the entire process of mold life cycle to information system from mold planning to mass production and preservation by building SME(small and medium-sized enterprises)-type mold life cycle management information system in the cloud computing environment and applying it to the production site.

        최근 항시적 광역 모니터링이 가능한 위성원격탐사 기술에 의해 산불감시의 효율성이 증대될 것으로 기대되고 있는 가운데, 미국의 Terra, Aqua, GOES (Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite), 유럽연합의 Meteosat, 그리고 우리나라의천리안위성 및 후속위성도 산불정보의 실시간 제공을 목표로 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 위성기반 산불정보를 대민서비스하기 위한 방법의 일환으로 스마트폰 앱을 구현하여, 북한지역을 포함한 한반도 전역의 위성자료로부터 추출한 산불발생여부, 산불탐지 신뢰도, 산불의 방사강도 등의 정보를 DBMS (Database Management System)에서 관리하고, 안드로이드와 iOS 스마트폰을통해 제공하는 서비스의 원형을 개발하였다. 공통적 핵심기능은 HTML5 (HyperText Markup Language 5) 웹페이지로 구성함으로써 상이한 OS (Operating System)의 네이티브 앱과 결합하는 하이브리드 방식을 통해 소스코드의 재사용성과 시스템 확장성을 추구하였으며, 일자별 산불조회, 최근 산불조회, 주변 산불조회 등의 기능을 포함하도록 하였다. 현재는 위성기반 산불탐지 자료가 실시간 제공되지 않아 산불발생의 이력정보를 서비스하도록 구성하였지만, 2010년대 후반 우리나라 기상위성의 산불탐지 자료가 실시간으로 제공될 것이므로, 정부 3.0의 정보공개 흐름과 함께 국민 모두에게 필요한 실시간 산불정보 조회가 가능해질 것으로 예상된다. 본 연구는 위성기반의 실시간 산불정보 앱 개발을 위한 출발점으로서 의의를 가지며, 향후 산불정보 앱은 SNS (SocialNetworking Service) 기반의 빅데이터 마이닝 기술과 연동하는 통합 솔루션으로 구성되어야 그 활용성이 보다 더 제고될 것이다.

        This paper presents a parallel kd-tree traversal algorithm based on the parallel binary radix tree construction scheme proposed by Tero Karras in 2012. In his paper, Tero Karras proposed parallel tree construction algorithm which can maximize the utilization of GPU threads, but implementation and analysis of kd-tree are not fully discussed. This paper aims to fill the gap for the specific kd-tree cases. As an application for the kd-tree traversal method proposed in this paper, the proposed method has been implemented with NVIDIA’s CUDA framework and tested on NVIDIA’s realtime raytracing library, OptiX. As a result, the proposed method can construct tree structures within the requirement for realtime process, but still needs specialized spatial caching data structure like the “primitive tree” for highly detailed meshes to handle spatial queries as fast as to visualize implicit surfaces under OptiX framework. However, the proposed method can be applied to dynamic collision detection and manage scene and object information for game applications thanks to its fast tree construction process. Also, realtime raytracing can be applied to game applications based on this study.

        Computational algorithms and their implementations are studied for the treatments of kernel function’s shadow effects, which occurs in the application of the BEM(boundary element method) for radiation heat transfer analysis. In this problem, surfaces are assumed to be diffuse and gray placed in two-dimensional enclosures with transparent medium. Self-blocking or third party blocking is possible when the radiosity from the BEM nodes cannot reach the destination points. Also the third party blocking can be the partial or total blocking case. Algorithms, which can accurately recognize the each blocking cases and reflect the shadow effects to the BEM kernel function, are studied in this paper. Effective implementation methods are presented, and their results are verified by the test problem

        The organizational learning concept is used to develop the skill base of employees and create knowledge that can be used to improve the capability of an organization. The objective of this paper is to explain how the process of organizational learning, which is underpinned and reinforced by a specific organizational value system, produces interactive communication that incorporates information sharing, teamwork, individual learning and fosters the development of knowledge which ultimately results in the implementation of a marketing strategy. The research question we pose is: How can marketing managers use the organizational learning concept to improve the organization’s marketing performance? A qualitative research strategy, incorporating an open ended, structured questionnaire was used to obtain insights into how organizational learning supports the development of knowledge and the implementation of marketing strategy in three Korean companies in three separate industries. The research findings indicate that managers in the participating Korean companies embrace the strategic marketing concept, implement knowledge based marketing decisions, are committed to sharing information and are keen to adopt innovatory processes that result in change. In addition, they utilize the organizational learning concept to enhance the capability of the organization, ensure that individual learning is placed in the context of institutional learning, develop and implement innovative marketing strategies, and reinforce the strategic marketing planning process through interactive communication in order to achieve value creation.

        This exploratory study conducts the difference of e-business implementation of each industry in Japan. According to factor analysis, 9 e-business contents are classified into four factors. Then, as a result of cluster analysis using the four factors, industries are classified into five clusters according to the grade of execution of e-business, and the contents of execution. Online networks including internet have given rise to the digital economy to support electronic business (e-business) activities. But it varies according to a type of industry because how enterprises perform e-business. The purpose of working on e-business is also the same. This study shows that the implementation status of e-business of each industry. E-business using online networks are various, such as not only e-commerce but also activities inside the company. The former examples are sales or purchase trading, and the latter examples are activities of a direct department called production or physical distribution, and a back-office section called accounts or personnel. In addition, purposes of enterprises perform e-business may be various, for example sales expansion, and cost reduction, information sharing. In Japan, before the Internet known as an open online network spreads, former closed online network such as VAN; Value Added Network has been popular to companies in 1980’s. Therefore, companies could use e-business in internal business process integration or to specific partners. The examples are Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). But in fact, e-commerce is more popular than other e-business. That may be why effects come out of e-commerce in the short term, such as reduction of office work cost, improvement in customer satisfaction, or the reduction of an input cost. Iacovou et al(1995) recommends the development of successful EDI partner expansion plans, which include EDI initiators pursue promotional efforts to improve partners’ (especially small partners’) perceptions of EDI benefits, provide financial and technological assistance to partners with low organizational readiness, and carefully select and enact influence strategies to reduce resistance. Fisher(1997) concludes the effectiveness of SCM varies according to the matrix of product properties and purpose of SCM. From the viewpoint of marketing partnership, Doney et al(1997) shows that supplier size and supplier's willingness to customer have a positive impact on buyers’ trust. Chatterjee et al(2002) shows that companies structuring e-commerce platform should have top management championship, strategic investment rationale, and extent of coordination. According to these studies, the effectiveness of e-business changes in the factor inside and outside the company such as the relations with a type of industry and the trading partner. MTI(2006) shows the result of a questionnaire companies of Japan and USA why to introduce e-commerce. According to this survey, Japanese companies think as important cost reductions, such as a request from a customer, and increase in efficiency of ordering business, to the USA companies think as important sales expansions, such as new customer acquisition and expansion of a sales channel. SMEA(2009), belongs to MTI, shows SMEs which consider “reduction of trading costs” to be a benefit are greatest in number, but when looked at in terms of employee size, the smaller the enterprise, the larger the number citing that it is “easy to acquire new customers.” These suggest engaging e-commerce actively is important as a means of acquiring customers for small companies as well. MIC(2012) shows the result of an annualy mail survey with about 2,000 enterprises; 87.5% of companies have built a company communication network such as internet, the percentage of businesses using e-commerce (procurement/sales via the Internet) is 44.5%, and the percentage of businesses using at least a part of a cloud computing serviceis 21.6%, which is 7.5 percentage points more than the 14.1% rate at the end of 2010. This study conducts a statistical secondary analysis using large-scale survey. The original survey is “Results of the Basic Survey of Business and Activity on March 31, 2009” provided Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in Japan. The survey is somewhat old because they survey each 5 years. The survey is a mail on self-declaration forms given to enterprises which engaged in business with both a minimum capital of 30 million yen and 50 or more employees. Questions include size and profit of enterprises, online network usage and e-business implementation. It covers over 28,000 enterprises which operate mining, manufacturing, and wholesale and retail trade, and eating and drinking places. This study analyzes the semi total data for every 103 types of industry because the reply for each enterprise is not disclosed, and conducts descriptive statistics. An exploratory factor analysis revealed 4 factors from 10 variables on a sample of 103 industries. Table1 shows that pattern matrix after Promax rotation with Maximum Likelihood extraction. As the factor loadings of Sales, Inventory and Distribution are high, 1st factor can be named as “Sales division”. Like the following, 2nd factor is “In-company management”, 3rd factor is “Procurement” and 4th factor is “Manufacturing”. e-business implementation can be classified into “Sales division”, “I n-company management”, “Procurement” and “Manufacturing”. This suggests the priority matter of each enterprise is reflected. First, a type of industry to suffer from the competition with others by sales markets to work on customer satisfactions or marketing tackles “Sales division”. Second, “In-company management” could be important for a type of industry to push forward information integration and employee management in the enterprise or the cost cut of the indirect section. Third, Industries which work on cost reduction with strong bargaining ability to the supplier could be tackling “procurement” e-business. And some manufacturing industries work on “manufacturing” e-business. In order to classify 103 industries according to e-business implementation, cluster analysis is conducted with factor scores observed the analysis. Figure 1 is a result of hierarchical cluster analysis applying the Ward Linkage method. It is divided into five clusters. Table 2 is average factor score & characteristics of each cluster. The analysis shows the characteristic of the type of industry to perform e-business. Cluster 5 which contains only electricity is firstly classified as other types of industry. The cluster has the highest score except “Sales Division” than other clusters. Cluster 3 and 4 work on e-business more positively than Cluster 1 and 2. Cluster 1 has very low score especially “Sales division” and “In-company management”. The reason may be why it has traditional manufacture such as mining and wood manufacture. Cluster 2 has also low score especially “Manufacturing” because it has traditional distributor sector such as apparel, agricultural or furniture wholesales. Therefore, “Sales Division” is performed better than other e-business. On the other hand, Cluster 3 has high score other than manufacturing because it has non-store retailer and electrical or motor wholesales. Many of them work on e-commerce because they satisfy customers and compete with others, and procure products to reduce costs. And Cluster 4 has major manufacture industries such as electronic, motor vehicles and communication, which work on e-business totally. In conclusion, the difference of e-business implementation of each industry reflects on market structure. This study has two limitations. First, as the data used for this analysis is already totaled for every type of industry, the reply situation for each company is not reflected. Though the government statistics are collecting data comprehensively, it is very rare to have released each data because of privacy. After taking into consideration in a respondent's privacy, an indication of individual data is desired. Second, the purpose or attitude companies work on e-business are not taken into consideration though analyzed based on the implementation rate of e-business. Not only action data but attitude data and consciousness data are important. The future research should analyze why companies work on e-business through an interview or questionnaire survey.

        The purpose of this study is to develop the Generalized Depreciation Function (GDF) and Winfrey Depreciation Function (WDF) by reviewing methods for the depreciation accountings. The Depreciation Accounting Models (DAM), including straight-line model, declining-balance model, sum-of-the-year-digit model and sinking fund model presented in this paper, are reclassified into the charging pattern of increasing type, decreasing type and constant type. This paper also discusses the development of the GDFs based on convex type, concave type and constant type according to the demand pattern of product, frequency of plant usage, deterioration of time, relative inadequacy, Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Operating Expenditure (OPEX) of the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). The WDFs presented in this paper depict a sudden degradation of plant performance by measuring the change of TPM activity at the midpoint of useful life of asset. The WDFs are classified into left-modal type, symmetrical type and right-modal type by varying the value of skewness and kurtosis. Moreover, three increasing patterns, such as convex, concave and linear types, are used in this paper to present the distinct identification of WFDs by using Instantaneous Depreciation Rate (IDR) in terms of Performance Depreciation Function (PDF) and Depreciation Density Function (DDF). In order to have better understanding of depreciation models, the numerical examples are used for evaluating the Net Operating Less Adjusted Tax (NOPLAT) and Economic Value Added (EVA). It is concluded that the depreciation models showing a large dispersion of EVA require the adjustment of NOPLAT and Invested Capital (IC) based on the objective cash basis and net operating activity for reducing the variation of EVA.

        학교 교육과정의 자율화가 확대됨에 따라 단위학교를 중심으로 교사의 교육과정 역량을 강화하기 위한 방안을 탐색하는 연구는 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 이에 본 연구에서는 단위 학교의 교육과정 편성 운영 자율성 확대에 부응하기 위해 요청되는 교사의 전문성, 자율성, 책무성 확대 방안을 교사의 교육과정 역량 측면에서 찾고자 하였다. 미래 학교의 교사는 구체적인 학교 상황에서 교육과정을 어떻게 해석하고 적용할 것인지를 탐색하고 개발하는 역할을 수행하도록 기대된다. 본 연구에서는 문헌분석, 국내외 사례연구, 설문조사 등을 통해 과학 교사의 학교 교육과정 편성 운영 역량의 발휘 실태를 진단하였다. 과학교사들은 교육과정 운영에서의 실질적 자율성 부족, 인프라 미비, 학생성취도로 책무성을 묻는 체제, 숙고를 위한 시간의 부족, 교육과정에 대한 주체성 인식 부족 등이 교사의 자율적 학교 교육과정 편성 운영의 장애요인이라고 지적하였다. 본 연구의 결론 부분에서는 과학교사를 비롯한 현장 교사의 교육과정 역량 발휘의 장애요인에 대한 해결 방안으로 실질적 자율화의 확대, 현장 교사의 교육정책 결정 참여 활성화, 학교평가에서 정성적 요소 강화, 교사의 직급 및 승진 경로의 다양화를 통한 교육과정 역량 강화, 교사의 학습공동체 참여 활성화 등을 제안하였다.

Not simply G2S protocol replaces the SAS protocol currently in use but with many limitations, but provides diverse application and business chances to the casino industry. In this paper, we introduce the overview of technical features of G2S system, and describe our design and implementation experience of core G2S protocol engine for slot machine devices. The G2S engine provides key protocol stack of G2S (HTTP, XML, and SOAP) and runtime services, using open source softwares and custom classes. The protocol compatibility of the implemented G2S engine is confirmed against an openG2S host software contributed by IGT. Also the measured memory size and perfroamcne is compact enough for typical slot machine hardware specification.

        This paper proposes the design and implementation of a system to provide a web-based ubiquitous 3D virtual reality education environment for secondary students to help experiment freely with safety by computer simulation in physics education. To realize this system, ThreeJS, one of the famous 3D graphics libraries based on javascript, has been used to support WebGL(Web Graphic Library). Hence the system became browser independent to give flexibility for most users. It is designed to make the mouse control change the position of the camera of the 3D graphics, so that the user can observe the virtual motion in various viewpoints. In contrast to the other local PC based education systems, this web-based system is much easier for distribution and management.

        In second language writing, while much research has focused on teachers’ act of feedback per se, scant attention has been paid to how they attempt to bring innovation to their feedback practices and how they cope with the contextual challenges arising from the innovation. This study seeks to explore two teachers’ perspectives on their own attempts at innovative feedback approaches in their writing classrooms. Drawing on data gathered from individual teacher interviews and their personal reflections, the results of the study show that their engagement in feedback innovation served as a significant source of their continuing professional development. While they encountered some challenges during the innovation, they also exercised their professional agency to address these challenges and reaped benefits from their innovative attempts. The paper concludes with some implications for feedback innovation in EFL contexts and how teachers can be supported in their continuing efforts to develop effective feedback approaches in writing.

        In this paper, we propose an efficient real-time multi-user input processing algorithm and protocol for supporting a number of different types of user input from various input devices. The main objective of this multi-user input processing algorithm and protocol is to support multiple users to interact simultaneously with the interactive digital content using a variety of user input devices. This protocol is composed of two parts: the input terminal and the server. The input terminals are connected to input devices and the 1:1 value obtained by the selection, calibration, integration, analysis and then transmission to the server to be used for the user input to the contents. The server processes multi-user input information and applies the input processing algorithm to identify the user and then pass input information to the desired application. This paper presents the design and implementation of the multi-user input processing algorithm and protocol. It also describes how to build and execute a multi-user interactive Unity3D application based on this algorithm.
