        파랑중을 항행하는 선박에는 저항증가와 함께 파랑에 의한 횡력 및 회두모멘트가 정수중과 다르게 작용하여 선박의 조종성 능에 영향을 미치게 된다. 따라서 파랑에 의해 발생하는 횡력 및 회두모멘트를 추정하는 것이 중요하므로 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 문제를 해결할 수 있는 수치계산을 이행하였다. 본 연구에서는 CFD를 이용하여 정수중 및 파랑중에서 부선에 작용하는 유체력 계산을 위한 수치시뮬레이션을 수행하였으며, 이 결과를 토대로 최종적으로 파랑중 부선의 침로안정성 특성에 대하여 조사 및 분석하였다. 정수중보다 는 파랑중에서 부선에 작용하는 유체력이 강해지고 있으며, 파랑중에서도 파장이 길어질수록 유체력이 커지고 있는 모습을 확인할 수 있다. 장파장 영역에서는 yaw damping lever의 (-) 값이 정수중보다 커지고 있으나, 단파장 영역과 파장이 선박길이와 일치하는 영역에서는 각각 작아지고 있어서 이 영역에서는 침로안정성이 향상되고 있다고 추정할 수 있다. 즉 장파장 영역에서는 침로안정성이 정수중 및 단파장 영역보다 상대적으로 나빠지고 있으므로 항행시 주의가 필요하다고 할 수 있다.

        SUS hexagonal bar has been widely used to make many kinds of hexagonal bolt/nuts and fittings. Peeling machine is used to make lustrous and clean surface of SUS circular bar in order to remove rust and impurities from surface of raw SUS circular bar. Similarly, roll unit system is used to make SUS hexagonal bar from SUS circular bar with lustrous and clean surface. Roll unit system is mainly divided into two parts ; one is roll unit and the other is mold frame. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the structural stability of mold frame supporting roll unit with numerical analysis. As the numerical analysis result, higher structural stability was gradually shown in order of models 4, 2, 3 and 1. It was considered that the structural stability of this study was influenced by the decrease of mold frame size, especially height decrease.

        Odor dispersion from road emissions were investigated using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). The Shear Stress Transport k-ω model in FLUENT CFD code was used to simulate odor dispersion around the road. The two road configurations used in the study were at-grade and fill road. Experimental data from the wind tunnel obtained in a previous study was used to validate the numerical result of the road dispersion. Five validation metrics are used to obtain an overall and quantitative evaluation of the performance of Shear Stress Transport k-ω models: the fractional bias (FB), the geometric mean bias (MG), the normalized mean square error (NMSE), the geometric variance (VG), and the fraction of predictions within a factor of two of observations (FAC2). The results of the vertical concentration profile for neutral atmospheric show reasonable performance for all five metrics. Six atmospheric stability conditions were used to evaluate the stability effect of road emission dispersion. It was found that the stability category D case of at-grade decreased the non-dimensional surface odor concentration smaller 0.78~0.93 times than those of stability category A case, and that F case decreased 0.39~0.56 times smaller than those of stability category A case. It was also found that stability category D case of filled road decreased 0.84~0.92 times the non-dimensional surface odor concentration of category A case and stability category F case decreased 0.45~0.58 times compared with stability category A case.

        최근 안전하고 질 좋은 ‘로컬푸드’에 대한 생산과 소비에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 지역 밭농업의 기계화와 생력화를 절실히 필요하게 되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 밭농업을 생력화하기 위한 일관화 작업 평두 둑 복합기의 개념을 설계하고 후방전도 안정성을 검토하는데 있다. 일관화 작업 복합기는 경운·정지, 휴립, 방제, 멀칭 및 파종·정식의 다섯 단계별 작업기를 통합하여 트랙터 부착 견인형으로 일관작업 체계의 개념으로 설계하였다. 기존의 개별 작업기들를 참고하여 복합기의 자중과 소비동력을 추정하고 국내 농가에서 사용하는 트랙터에 적용 할 수 있는지를 동력 공학적으로 검토하였다. 방제용액을 포함한 작업기의 추정 자중은 1,270kgf으로 예상 총소비 동력 33.5kW을 제공할 트랙터를 검토한 바, 45PS(33.6kW)급 트랙터는 히치 상승능력과 총동력에 있어 적절한 한계선 이내에 있는 것으로 판단되었다. 또한 복합작업기의 자중에 의한 후방전도의 안정성을 검토하였는데, 본 연구에서 설계한 복합 작업기를 카테고리 I(<48kW) 트랙터에 장착하여 사용할 경우 트랙터 전면 평형추(ballast)로서 전방 버켓로더를 부가하여 후방전도 안정성을 유지해야 한다.

        Postural instability can increase the likelihood of hazardous slip and fall accidents in workplaces. The present study intended to extend understanding of the effect of abnormal neck posture on postural control during quiet standing. The effect of body fatigue on the postural control was also of primary concern. Twelve healthy undergraduate students volunteered to participate in the experiment. Standing on a force platform with the neck neutral, flexed, extended, or rotated, subjects’ center of pressures (COP) were measured under the two levels of body fatigue. For the fatigue condition, Subjects exercised in a treadmill to meet the predetermined level of body fatigue. Analyzing the position coordinates of COPs, the length of postural sway path was assessed in both medio-lateral (ML) axis and anterior-posterior (AP) axis. Results showed that, in AP direction, neck extension or rotation significantly increased the sway length as compared with neck neutral. Neck extension led to greater sway length compared to neck rotation. Neck flexion did not differ from neck neutral. The sway length in the AP direction also became significantly larger as the body fatigue accumulated after treadmill exercise. In ML direction, as compared to neutral posture, the neck extension, flexion, or rotation did not significantly affect the length of postural sway path. However, the sway length seemed to increase marginally with the neck extended during the fatigued condition. This study demonstrates that abnormal neck posture may interfere with postural control during standing. The ability to maintain postural stability decreases significantly with the neck extended or rotated. Body fatigue leads to postural instability further.

        Chronic problems of water treatment membranes are fouling phenomena and membrane damage during the cleaning process. In this study, to solve these problems, a separation membrane in the form of a hollow fiber having excellent physical properties was produced by using the thermally induced phase separation (TIPS). The material used to make the water treatment membrane is poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF). In the evaluation of the properties of the manufactured hollow fiber, citric acid which is an acidic solution and NaCl which is a basic solution were used and experiments of chemical resistance were proceed. In order to confirm the performance of hollow fiber membrane, water flux and tensile strength were measured.

        This study was performed to analyze a saltiness enhancement at the same salt content through multiple emulsion. We compared the samples with different conditions to determine the optimum stability conditions of water-in-oil through layer separation rate, microscopic observation and size analysis. Four electrolytes such as NaCl, KCl, MgCl2, and CaCl2 were used and agar contents ranged from 0 to 1% were experimented at different volume ratios including 5:5, 4:6, 3:7, 2:8, and 1:9 of water and oil. As a result of this study, the droplet size according to the electrolyte type did not show significant differences (p<0.05). Therefore, KCl was used to facilitate in-body excretion of NaCl in the outer water phase, and corn oil containing 8%(w/w) polyglycerol polyricinoleate was used as oil phase. When the volume ratio of water and oil was 3:7, 2:8, and 1:9, the layer separation rate was relatively slow and droplet size was also small. It reveals that the particle size becomes smaller as the water volume ratio decreases. However, considering the amount of water to be stored and eluted on the inner water, appropriate volume ratio of water and oil should be adopted to 3: 7. At Microscopic observation depending on agar concentrations, small particle size appeared at 0.2% and 0.4% agars. When the water and oil ratio was fixed at 3:7, the particle size was measured at 0.2% and 0.4% agar using a zeta sizer. In conclusion, the droplet size of 0.2% agar was smaller than 0.4%. Therefore, the most stable water-in-oil emulsion was obtained with 0.2% agar, when water to oil ratio was 3:7.

        Vitamin A, particularly all-trans retinol is excellent for anti-aging but is sensitive to oxygen, heat and light and has low solubility in water. In this study, retinol was encapsulated within oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion, protein-based particle and cycloamylose(CA). And then, it confirms that retinol contained in each delivery system is stable to UV, pH, and temperature and finally measures bioaccessibility. O/W emulsion was compared according to the type and concentration of emulsifier. UV stability of retinol increased with increasing oil concentration. More than 10 wt% of oil was required to maintain stable retinol (50% residual after 24 hours of irradiation). Using anionic emulsifier, retinol had unstable storage stability regardless of oil concentration and temperature. Protein based particle was compared according to the type of stabilizer and polysaccharide. UV stability of retinol was highest in pectin-coated particles. However, 20% retinol remains after 6 hours of irradiation and is vulnerable to UV compared to other delivery systems. In pH stability, pectin-coated particles also stably retained retinol. Inclusion complex of retinol and CA was compared according to the concentration of CA. When CA was used, the residual amount of retinol to UV was high (50% residual after 24 hours of irradiation) regardless of the concentration of the host molecule. In the case of storage stability, retinol remained significantly higher regardless of temperature when cycloamylose was used. It was finally confirmed bioaccessibility each of retinol delivery system. O/W emulsion was determined by emulsifier type, protein-based particle by coating agent, and inclusion complex by CA concentration. All O / W emulsions retained more than 50% retinol, protein based particles retained more than 80% retinol, and inclusion complex retained more than 70% retinol. The bioaccessibility of pure retinol is about 20%. This study provides important information for designing effective delivery systems for improving the stability of retinol.

        The dielectric medium used in electrophoretic displays (EPDs) is required to be an environmentally friendly solvent with high density, low viscosity, and a large electric constant. Hydrofluoroether, a highly fluorinated solvent with eco-friendly characteristics, is regarded as a viable alternative medium for EPDs, owing to the similarity of its physical properties to those of the conventional EPD medium. Surface modification of particles is required, however, in order for it to disperse in the charged solvent. Also, positive/negative charges should be present on the particle surface to enable electrophoretic behavior. In this study, carbon black particles wrapped with positively charged nitrogen (N-CBs) were fabricated by a simple hydrothermal process using a poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) solution as a black coloring agent for the EPD. The dispersion behavior of N-CBs was investigated in various solvents.

        Climate change is believed to increase the amount of dissolved organic matter in surface water, as a result of the release of bulk organic matter, which make difficult to achieve a high quality of drinking water via conventional water treatment techniques. Therefore, the natural water treatment techniques, such as managed aquifer recharge (MAR), can be proposed as a alternative method to improve water quality greatly. Removal of bulk organic matter using managed aquifer recharge system is mainly achieved by biodegradation. Biodegradable dissolved organic carbon (BDOC) and assimilable organic carbon (AOC) can be used as water quality indicators for biological stability of drinking water. In this study, we compared the change of BDOC and AOC with respect to pretreatment methods (i.e., ozone or peroxone). The oxidative pretreatment can transform the recalcitrant organic matter into readily biodegradable one (i.e., BDOC and AOC). We also investigated the differences of organic matter characteristics between BDOC and AOC. We observed the decreases in dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and the tryptophan-like fluorescence intensities. Liquid chromatographic - organic carbon detection (LC-OCD) analysis also showed the reduction of the low molecular weight (LMW) fraction (15% removed, less than 500 Da), which is known to be easily biodegradable, and the biopolymers, high molecular weight fractions (66%). Therefore, BDOC consists of a broad range of organic matter characteristics with respect to molecular weight. In AOC, low molecular weight organic matter and biopolymers fraction was reduced by 11 and 6%, respectively. It confirmed that biodegradation by microorganisms as the main removal mechanism in AOC, while BDOC has biodegradation by microorganism as well as the sorption effects from the sand. O3 and O3 + H2O2 were compared with respect to biological stability and dissolved organic matter characteristics. BDOC and AOC were determined to be about 1.9 times for O3 and about 1.4 times for O3 + H2O2. It was confirmed that O3 enhanced the biodegradability by increasing LMW dissolved organic matter.

        In the present study, we investigate the effects of milling time and the addition of a process control agent (PCA) on the austenite stability of a nanocrystalline Fe-7%Mn alloy by XRD analysis and micrograph observation. Nanocrystalline Fe-7%Mn alloys samples are successfully fabricated by spark plasma sintering. The crystallite size of ball-milled powder and the volume fraction of austenite in the sintered sample are calculated using XRD analysis. Changes in the shape and structure of alloyed powder according to milling conditions are observed through FE-SEM. It is found that the crystallite size is reduced with increasing milling time and amount of PCA addition due to the variation in the balance between the cold-welding and fracturing processes. As a result, the austenite stability increased, resulting in an exceptionally high volume fraction of austenite retained at room temperature.

        본 연구는 멍게 껍질을 100.0 % 에탄올 용매로 추출한 후 DMSO로 희석하여 색소안정성을 평가하였다. pH에 따른 흡광도와 색차계 값을 측정한 결과 pH 7.0에서 흡광도와 색도의 ±a값이 가장 안정하게 나타났다. pH 3.0에서 흡광도의 감소가 나타났고 색도의 ±a값이 감소하여 멍게 껍질 색소는 pH가 중성에 가까울수록 변색방지의 효과가 있을 것으로 판단된다. 항산화제 첨가시 색소의 흡광도가 증가하였으며 α-tocopherol과 Glutathione이 가장 우수한 효과를 나타내었다.
