        고속도로교량을 위한 위험도기반점검주기를 제안하였다. 고속도로 교량유지관리시스템에서 얻은 상태데이터를 분석하여 교량상태 열화 에 영향을 주는 위해성인자를 찾았다. 그러한 인자와 상태열화사이의 특정한 상관성을 찾았다. 이들을 이용하여 위해성점수를 평가하는데 이용하였다. 여러 가지 위해성 인자들을 종합하여 최종 위해성을 높음, 보통, 낮음의 세 단계로 구분하였다. 취약성은 교량의 현재상태로 평가하였다. 위험도행렬을 점검주기를 위해 제안하였다. C, D, E등급 교량의 점검주기는 현행대로 유지하였다. 그러나, 보통과 높음으로 위 해성이 평가된 A 및 B 등급교량은 점검주기를 최대 6년까지 연장하였고 최소주기는 현행과 같이 3년으로 하였다. 위험도 평가에 따라 점 검주기를 보정하므로써 평균 점검인력을 27% 절약할 수 있었다.

        The Goal of research is that budget of maintenance were estimated in network-level bridges. We determined the life cycle of exchangeable bridge element with HBMS(Highway Bridge Management System) data by applying the survival analysis probability model. We predicted all of the highway bridge’s conditions in korea depending on budget scenario by the probability model.

        This study intends to suggest a methodology of normalization of inspected highway bridges damage. The noticeable point is to normalize the amount of the inspected accumulated damage on bridges according to a normalizing scale. The normalized damages represent such a characteristics of the bridges. With the normalized damage data, a future maintenance cost can be estimated that can be applicable for determining long-term maintenance strategy.

        This paper aims at optimizing fire risk assessment for highway bridges using different classification schemes. Based on results, highway bridges are categorized into three groups according to fire risk levels and compared to actual cases of fire incidents. From comparisons, it is required to determine the proper classification scheme according to type of risk and data.

        This study established key factors causing deck slab deterioration based on GPR database of 747 highway bridges, and predicted deck slab damage rates with respect to bridge service life. To minimize the influence of bridge service life on deck slab deterioration, the deck slab damage rate database was corrected based on a linear regression model of bridge service life vs. deck slab damage rate. The corrected deck slab damage rates were analyzed to determine correlation considering the number of snowy days, the amount of snowfalls, the number of freeze-thaw days, average winter temperature, altitude, the amount of deicing chemicals and equivalent traffic volume, and then both the number of freeze-thaw days and the amount of deicing chemicals were determined to be key factors causing deck slab deterioration. The complex deterioration considering both key factors was represented deck slab damage rate charts, and the average deck slab life was derived. The results of this study will be used as a guideline for highway bridge maintenance to identify the progress of deck slab deterioration for a given bridge and predict the time required deck slab rehabilitation.

        Usually, we have many difficulties in funding because of the prejudice that the bridge inspection facilities are not a critical part in bridges. Also, high initial cost resulted in the decrease trend in installing the bridge inspection facilities. But, in this research, we reached to the conclusion that installing fixed bridge inspection facilities are most economical and more effective in required time, input man-power and equipments than any other means to approach bridges by analysis considering LCC(Life Cycle Cost).

        We analyzed the characteristics of damage by the ratio of defect, damage and deterioration, and bridge members based on the last 15 years safety diagnosis of expressway bridges. Accordingly, we confirmed the importance of the maintenance of non-structural members (Pavement of bridge deck, Expansion joint, Shoe, Drainage etc.) on the total service life of bridges.

        The highway bridges required the maintenance have been consistently increased over 8,000. For long term maintenance strategy, it should be focused on utilizing the systemic information from in-depth inspection data. From now, record-based inspection for highway bridges has been usually performed so that it is needed to investigate the in-depth inspection data for identifying the damage characteristics in detail. In this study, with respective to the performance measure of damage characteristic, damage normalization of highway bridges is researched by using the suggested bridge scales such as area, length, vertical distance, number of members. Based on this process, the standard cost for various damages for highway bridges can be estimated and utilized for long-term maintenance strategy.

        The needs for consistent maintenance for highway bridge has been increased in nowadays. This study is to investigate fundamental database about in-depth inspection for publishing the repair and strengthening methodology. It is because the maintenance budget should be used effectively for optimal maintenance of infrastructures. In order to investigate the maintenance history of highway bridges, the database of in-depth inspection from 1996 to 2012 was analyzed. For the superstructure type, PSC box girder bridge which was the most common among the concrete bridges in the inspection database was investigated.

        We have carried out the bridge inspections according to the laws not considering the characteristics of damages. Also the current condition based inspection cannot consider the rate of bridge deterioration. But it is reasonable to classify the inspection interval according to the risk of each bridge. This suggests the risk based inspection methodology.

        In this paper, the maintenance characteristics for the abutment and pier in highway bridges are investigated. The repair and rehabilitation properties are integrated from the Highway Bridge Maintenance System until 2013. Whole numbers of the abutment and the pier in highway bridges are over 37,000. The repair and/or rehabilitation are carried out for the substructure of about 10,240. More than 35 billion won of budget for repair and rehabilitation were used until now. It can be known that during one year about 37,000 won of budget has been used to maintain and preserve each substructure.

        This study developed a fire risk assessment procedure for the bridges on the highway. The fire risk assessment consists of three part. PRA, SRA, and DRA. with The preliminary risk analysis (PRA), considering the bridge to need analysis. The simplified risk Analysis (SRA) assesses the risk level of the bridge based on bridge information database. detailed risk analysis (DRA) conducts for high risk bridge in the SRA. In SRA, factors which influence fire event occurrence and vulnerability are investigated. based on risk assessment, select proper countermeasures.

        The number of highway bridge has been doubled for last 10 years. It is because many new highway routes has been completed since 2000. As a result, the maintenance cost of highway bridge has been increased as well. Therefore, to predict the long-term maintenance costs, there is a need for a method. To solve this problem, various studies about the life cycle cost analysis was conducted. Maintenance costs for members of the highway bridge is quite different to each other. Therefore, all the elements that are managed by the same proportion is inefficient. In this study, the distribution characteristics of maintenance costs for members of the highway bridge were analyzed using research data and highway bridge maintenance system data.

        In this paper, analysis on chloride content and carbonation of concrete members in highway bridge is realized. As a result, it is considered that the amount of snowfall, de-icing salt, freeze and thaw affect chloride content, and concrete members with respect to carbonation in highway bridge are safety at least for now
