        In this study, poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT-PSS) was introduced into polymer gas separation membrane. The mixed matrix membrane composed of poly(2-[3-(2H-benzotriazol –2-yl)-4-hydroxyphenyl] ethyl methacrylate)-poly(oxyethylene methacryalate) (PBEM-POEM) comb copolymer matrix and PEDOT-PSS filler. Incorporation of PBEM-POEM makes isolated PEDOT-PSS chain transform into a fiber-like interconnected structure due to hydrogen bonding interaction. This structure could act as a facilitated pathway for enhancing gas diffusivity through the membrane. The best performance of prepared PEDOT-PSS/PBEM-POEM composite membranes was CO2 permeability of 59.6 Barrer with a CO2/N2 selectivity of 77.4, being close to the 2008 Robeson upper bound.

        20 여 가지의 형태의 제올라이트 중에서 8-membered ring (8 MR) 구조를 지닌 제올라이트를 다공성 지지층 위에 연속적인 분리막 형태로 제작하고자 한다. 이 때, 궁극적인 분리막의 사용처에 해당되는 배가스 및 바이오가스 조건에서 이산화탄소를 분리하는 데 적합하도록 설계한 제올라이트 분리막에 대해 기술하고자 한다. 특히, 10% 정도의 수분에 의한 악영향을 최소화할 수 있는 방법에 대해 발표하고자 한다.

        CO2 separation technology for carbon capture, which is one of the hot issues to reduce greenhouse gases from industrial flue gas, has been intensively investigated so far. Despite of several benefits, the membrane technology has some obstacles like large-scale module fabrication, membrane durability, need of pre-treatment or high pressure drive for its industrial application. Also, the power plant flue gas with normally 10~20% of CO2 content should be concentrated upto 99% for being compressed and liquefied to transportable CO2 by pipeline, indicating the need of high selective membrane process as well as high recovery. In this work, the possibility of membrane process for post-combustion treatment in terms of recent technology will be announced. The practically applicable process for CO2 capture also be suggested briefly.

        일상생활에서 접할 수 있는 탄산음료는 전 세계적 상업 음료 시장의 매우 큰 부분을 차지한다. 기존에 이와 같은 탄산음료를 제조하는 방식은 보통 배치형의 기계적 공정 (McCann 탄산기, 제트 믹서 등)을 통해 이루어져 왔다. 하지만 이와 같은 기계적 교반을 동반한 탄산화 공정은 연속식 운전이 어려우며 물질전달 상의 한계점이 존재한다는 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이런 단점을 탈피하여 기존의 배치형 탄산화 장치를 대체할 수 있는 초소형 연속식 탄산화 장치를 할로우 파이버 시스템을 통해 제안하고자 한다. 특히 이산화탄소 기체 버블이 발생하지 않으며 물로 이산화탄소를 직접 전달할 수 있는 이와 같은 시스템은 여러 산업 분야의 응용이 가능할 것으로 예상된다.

        이 연구는 떡갈나무(Quercus dentata Thunb. ex Murray) 유식물을 대상으로 대기 중의 CO2농도와 기온이 상승하였을 때 광(L), 수분(M), 유기물(N) 그리고 토성(S)의 변화에 따라 생육이 어떻게 변하는지 알아본 것이다. 떡갈나무는 낙엽활엽교목으로 전국 표고 800m이하의 산기슭, 산중턱 뿐 아니라 해변가의 야산이나 섬에도 잘 생육하며, 건조한 석회암 지역에서 우점종으로 분포하고 있다. CO2농도와 기온을 상승시킨 온난화처리구와 대기 중의 상태를 그대로 둔 대조구에서 광, 수분, 유기물 그리고 토성을 각각 4구배(1, 2, 3, 4)로 처리하였다. 각 구배 당 24개체씩 파종하여 2017년 3월부터 10월까지 8개월간 생육시킨 후 잎 수, 지하 부/지상부 길이 및 무게, 잎자루/잎몸/잎폭 길이 및 무게 그리고 비엽면적 등 20가지 형질을 측정하였다. 측정한 20가지 형질은 온난화, 광, 수분, 유기물 그리고 토성 환경에 의한 생육반응에서 통계적인 차이가 있었다. 특히 지하부의 반응은 수분이나 토성 보다 광조건에서 차이가 컸고, 이에 따라 식물체 무게와 지하부/지상부 비에도 영향을 주었다. 또한 잎면적은 모든 구배에서 대조구보다 처리구에서 높아지는 경향을 보였으며 특히 유기물을 처리하였을 때 대조구와 처리구 간의 통계적인 차이가 있었다. 이는 유식물이 지구온난화가 진행됨에 따라 광합성을 증가시키기 위한 적응으로 해석된다. 이 성과는 2018년 정부(과학기술정보통신부)의 재원으로 한국연구재단의 지원을 받아 수행된 연구임 (No. NRF-2018R1A2B5A01021358)

        후각 신경 시스템은 일반 생활 환경에서 많은 다양한 화학 물질을 인식하고 구별한다. 곤충에서는 다양한 화학 물질을 기호적 또는 회피적인 특이성을 부여하고 이를 구분해 낼 수 있는 고도로 발달된 후각신경 수용체들로 구성된 냄새 맡는 (odorant-gated) 이온 채널 군을 진화시켰다. 최근에 후각 수용체와 단백질을 포함한 olfaction 관련한 진딧물 게놈 밝혀졌고, 초파리에서 다양하게 분화되어 있는 후각 수용체들이 보고되고 있다. 후각 신경 수용체의 유전체는 매우 높은 보전적인 염기 서열을 가지고 있으며, 체계적인 신호 전달 시스템을 갖추고 있다. 대표적 수용체인 odorant-gated ion channels comprised of a highly conserved co-receptor (Orco)는 중심 구멍 주위에 대칭 적으로 배열된 4 개의 서브 유닛을 갖는 homotetramer 채널 구조를 가지고 있다. 이는 인체 내에 존재하는 7-transmembrane receptor와 매우 유사한 구조를 형성하고 있고, 신경전달물질의 수용체와 매우 유사한 구조적 형태 및 gating mechanism을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 초파리에서 분리한 후각 신경 수용체 하위 유형인 OR65 유전자 분리하여 세포 발현 시켜 Xenopus oocyte를 이용하여 Whole cell voltage clamp recording을 실시하였다. 본 수용체의 성공적인 발현 이후 유해 해충 유인제 개발 회사인 마이크로자임의 미생물 배양 추출물을 이용해서 후각 신경 수용체 활성 조절 여부를 연구하였다. 미생물 배양 추출물을 10,000배 희석한 recording media에서 수용체의 활성을 확인하였고, 이를 농도 별로 처리하여 농도 의존성 수용체 활성 작용을 확인하였다. 따라서 곤충의 후각 신경 수용체 활성 조절 시스템을 이용하여 유인물질 또는 기피 물질을 발굴할 수 있으며, 본 연구를 통해서 MZ01은 곤충 수용체 OR65를 활성 시킴으로써 유인 현상을 나타내며, 본 연구를 통해서 현장에서 검증된 미생물 배양 추출물의 성능을 과학적 분석으로 결과를 제시하였다.

        기후변화로 인해 대기 중 이산화탄소 농도 (CO2)증가가 톱다리개미 허리노린재(Riptortus calvatus)의 화학통신에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 실내 이산화탄소 농도를 600, 1000, 2000 ppm 수준 처리하여 조사하였다. 두 집합페로몬 성분인 (E)-2-hexenyl (Z)-3-hexanoate와 (E)-2-hexenyl (E)-3-hexanoate의 생산량은 우화 후 10일 된 수컷의 경우 대기 중 CO2가 높아질수록 증가하는 경향을 보인 반면, 우화 후 20일 된 수컷에서는 감소하는 경향이 나타났다. 교미율은 CO2 농도에 따라 큰 차이가 없었으나, 총 산란수는 1,000 ppm 이상 CO2 농도에서 높게 나타났다.

        The main purpose of this study is to explain fishery relation in the seas surrounding Korea and how the Prisoner’s Dilemma (PD), within game theory is applied to the region and suggest possible co-operative approaches in the region. The seas surrounding Korea are very productive fishing grounds with abundant fisheries resources because of the favourable marine environment, including its geographical features and physical oceanography. Nevertheless, Fishery relations among the coastal states in the region have been historically characterized by conflict rather than co-operation. Based on the PD game where there is always an incentive to do better by not co-operating, in order to ensure a share of the short-run benefits, fishing countries in the region have so far pursued the non-co-operative strategy of ‘don’t fish responsibly’ rather than the co-operative strategy of ‘fish responsibly’. Considering rapidly deteriorating situations in terms of fishery resources, regional co-operation among coastal states is urgently required to eliminate overfishing and increase fish stocks to sustainable levels. The West Sea/East China Sea and the East Sea, semi-enclosed seas, have unitary ecosystems, and many migratory fish species are shared between coastal states. Therefore, one countries’ efforts alone cannot effectively manage and conserve the fishery resources and close co-operation among coastal states is required. The 1982 UN Convention and other international instruments emphasize the role of RFOs in managing and conserving capture fisheries and encourage states to establish Regional Fishery organizations (RFOs) or strengthen existing RFOs to facilitate conservation and management for fish stocks. Therefore, an international regime is worthy of serious consideration in that it provides fundamental advantages for the conservation of fish stocks for the fishery characteristic of the region.

        The primary purpose of this paper is to introduce the cases of fishery co-management, particularly in Korea. In recent, the fishery co-management between the government and fishermen has been brought an important shift of paradigm in a part of Korean fishery management policy. In case of Korea fisheries area, three fisheries cooperatives(which refer to purse sein fishery, trawl fishery, stow net fishery) have a minority of co-management programs. Generally, the main method of fishery co-management programs is ‘Fishery Closures’ among the programs, and others are restriction of fishing gear and fishermen educations. In spite of the efforts and time consumes of Korean government and fisheries cooperatives, much to our regret that it is hard to confirm visible results in an increased amount of fisheries resources so far because of the time constraint, namely fishery co-management programs have been conducted just since two to three years before. However, what’s certain is that fishery co-management programs make it possible to positively effect on both of area in fishermen and fisheries resources. Accordingly, it is necessary that Korean government and fishermen should extend the fishery co-management to other fishery areas as soon as possible we can in order to efficiently reduce administrative costs and effectively reserve fisheries resources.

        In this study, an experiment is performed to recover the Li in Li2CO3 phase from the cathode active material NMC (LiNiCoMnO2) in waste lithium ion batteries. Firstly, carbonation is performed to convert the LiNiO, LiCoO, and Li2MnO3 phases within the powder to Li2CO3 and NiO, CoO, and MnO. The carbonation for phase separation proceeds at a temperature range of 600oC~800oC in a CO2 gas (300 cc/min) atmosphere. At 600~700oC, Li2CO3 and NiO, CoO, and MnO are not completely separated, while Li and other metallic compounds remain. At 800 oC, we can confirm that LiNiO, LiCoO, and Li2MnO3 phases are separated into Li2CO3 and NiO, CoO, and MnO phases. After completing the phase separation, by using the solubility difference of Li2CO3 and NiO, CoO, and MnO, we set the ratio of solution (distilled water) to powder after carbonation as 30:1. Subsequently, water leaching is carried out. Then, the Li2CO3 within the solution melts and concentrates, while NiO, MnO, and CoO phases remain after filtering. Thus, Li2CO3 can be recovered.

        The stereotype of flexible MOFs(Amino-MIL-53) and carbonized porous carbon prepared from renewable resources is successfully synthesized for CO2 reduction application. The textural properties of these microporous materials are investigated, and their CO2 storage capacity and separation performance are evaluated. Owing to the combined effects of CO2-Amino interaction and its flexibility, a CO2 uptake of 2.5 mmol g−1 is observed in Amino-MIL-53 at 20 bar 298 K. In contrast, CH4 uptake in Amino-MIL-53 is very low up to 20 bar, implying potential sorbent for CO2/CH4 separation. Carbonized samples contain a small quantity of metal residues(K, Ca, Mg, S), resulting in naturally doped porous carbon. Due to the trace metal, even higher CO2 uptake of 4.7 mmol g−1 is also observed at 20 bar 298 K. Furthermore, the CH4 storage capacity is 2.9 mmol g−1 at 298 K and 20 bar. To evaluate the CO2 separation performance, the selectivity based on ideal adsorption solution theory for CO2/CH4 binary mixtures on the presented porous materials is investigated.

        This study explores the dynamics of wellbeing co-creation in sports communities of non-professional athletes through their everyday consumption of extended service encounters. With the use of ethnographic methods and using extreme sports communities (Surf, and Triathlon) of non-professional athletes in Colombia as a case study, the researchers explored how wellbeing evolves as forms of active integration of competences, materials, communities, and images reproducing actual and recreating new consumption practices. The findings show evidence that extreme sports consumption can be acknowledged as a social practice in the Colombian extreme sports consumption community of non-professional athletes, reaching three main outcomes. Firstly, the study suggests that wellbeing co-creation in the Colombian extreme sports communities emerge through the active integration of a constellation of elements in the extreme sports consumption practice. Secondly it has been found that the practice of extreme sports emerges as a heterogeneous consumption community where groups of practitioners can be classified into broader groups, according to the hedonic and eudaimonic wellbeing meanings they are pursuing, and which may interact in function of more than one subculture or social community at a time. Finally, participants co-create wellbeing through their consumption practices within the sports community being both an operand and operant resources within the community; in short, participants transform sacred, profane, material, intangible, individual, social, relational, contextual, hedonic and eudaimonic aspects of the practice within the performance of it. This study contributes TSR researchers to the understanding of both hedonic and eudaimonic wellbeing in leisure activities. The study may validate the idea that stronger ties in communities provoke a more diverse constellation of practices beyond the sport practice, expanding the knowledge of social supportive third places, commercial friendships and betrayals acknowledging their dynamics in social contexts; and the role of restorative servicescapes, expanding them to virtual and “through materials place” roles. From a managerial perspective this study shows how wellbeing is constructed within social constellations of resources that interact interdependently and go beyond commercial intent.

        Introduction A private label (PL) is defined as a brand owned, sold and distinguished by retailers (Lincoln & Thomassen, 2009). Therefore, most PLs display only their brand name on their product labels or packages. However, in the Japanese consumer goods market, an increasing number of manufacturers’ names are now being displayed on PL product packages. For example, the “Seven Premium” PL, by Seven & I Holdings, displays the manufacturer’s name on its product labels using the phrase “This product is a joint development product with manufacturer X.” This indicates that retailers are utilizing the brand of the national brand (NB). This type of branding strategy can be classified as co-branding or a brand alliance. In Japan, expansion of PL co-branding may have improved consumers’ attitudes toward PLs and contributed to their development. Theoretical Background Most prior research on co-branding has focused on brand alliances between two NBs. Therefore, studies on alliances between PLs and NBs are very limited. Vaidyanathan and Aggarwal (2000) focused on ingredient branding, which merged elements of PLs with NB ingredients. Based on the combination theory (Park, Jun, & Shocker 1996), attitude accessibility theory (Fazio, 1986), and attribution theory (Heider, 1958; Kelly, 1973), they found that the association of brand name ingredients with private brand products could positively impact consumers’ evaluations of unfamiliar products. Also, the use of a brand name ingredient in a PL did not negatively affect consumers’ evaluations of this product. Arnett, Laverie, and Wilcox (2010) focused on brand alliances of retailers and manufacturers in the clothing category. Based on the attitude accessibility theory and the information integration theory (Anderson, 1971; Smith, 1993), they found that consumers’ attitudes toward alliances can influence retailer equity, manufacturer brand equity, and shopping intentions. They also found that pre-alliance retailer equity significantly affects attitudes toward alliances. Except for post-alliance retailer equity, perceived fit moderates all relationships between consumers’ attitudes toward the outcome of an alliance. Prior research on co-branding indicates that the attitudes and attributes of co-brands are influenced by the attitudes and attributes of constituent brands. In addition, a constituent brand’s familiarity moderates the effect (Park et al., 1996; Simonin & Ruth, 1998). As another notable finding, attitudes about co-brands influence constituent brand attitudes, with the effect being moderated by brand familiarity (Simonin & Ruth, 1998). Based on prior findings, this study examines whether co-branded PLs are influenced by their constituent NBs and by the familiarity of constituent brands in the case of Japanese co-branded PLs. This study also examines whether a spillover effect exists for constituent brands. Methodology An Internet survey of 798 women living in the Greater Tokyo area was conducted in August 2017. Subjects were assigned to one of four groups, grouped by PL and NB brand familiarity (Figure 1). The familiar “salad dressing” category was selected. While this category includes several large and popular manufacturers, many small, unknown manufacturers also exist within it, a fact that is relevant to the purpose of this study. High-familiarity PLs and NBs were selected based on their market shares in the category. However, Seven Premium, the most popular PL in Japan, was not selected as it had already adopted a co-branding strategy. Aeon’s Topvalu was chosen as a high-familiarity PL. While Topvalu is one of the most popular PLs in Japan, it has not yet taken a co-branding strategy. All measures were assessed through a seven-point, semantic, differential scale. Attitudes toward constituent brands (PLs and NBs), co-brands, perceived quality of constituent brands, and brand familiarity of constituent brands were measured. Using covariance structure analysis, we examined factors influencing attitudes about co-branding and the spillover to constituent brands after considering co-branded formations. Regarding familiarity, a multi-group analysis was conducted. Results Attitudes toward constituent brands (PLs and NBs) positively influenced attitude toward co-branded PLs. In addition, the influence on the co-branded PLs was greater for PLs (Table 1). From the multi-group analysis, the influence of familiarity on the attitude toward co-branded PLs can be found in some cases (Table 2). In the case of high-familiarity PLs with high-familiarity NBs (Group 1), the attitudes about co-branding by NBs were not significant. On the other hand, a positive co-branding attitude by NB was found in other cases. In cases of low-familiarity PLs with low-familiarity NBs (Group 4), the co-brand’s influence was greater for NBs. Moreover, since the attitude toward co-branding positively influenced differences of attitude between post-alliance and pre-alliance toward PLs and NBs, the spillover effect is confirmed (Table 3). Discussion Our results, which suggest that co-branding with NBs can be an effective strategy if PLs have low familiarity, are consistent with prior research. PLs in Japan, which have a lower penetration ratio than those in Europe and the United States, are still in a developmental stage (Kumar & Steenkamp, 2007). Since PLs in Japan are less familiar than leading NBs, co-branding with an NB can be an effective strategy for a PL. On the other hand, when a PL is already established as a brand and has high familiarity, co-branding with a NB might have little effect. In this case, it might be necessary to devise a different strategy, such as changing a PL’s brand name. Seven Premium, the most popular PL in Japan, was introduced in 2007. From the beginning, when its brand had low familiarity, it opted for a co-branding strategy, and our findings suggest that this decision significantly improved overall attitudes toward PLs.
