        광도와 온도 같은 환경 요인에 의해 광합성 속도가 변화하기도 하며, 생육 시기에 따른 광합성 효율의 변화가 수반되기도 한다. 본 연구에서는 흑로메인 상추(Lactuca sativa L., Asia Heuk romaine)를 이용하여 광도와 온도, 생육 시기에 따른 군락 광합성 속도를 표현하는 두 모델을 구축하고 비교하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 군락 광합성은 정식 후 4, 7, 14, 21, 28 일차 상추를 아크릴 챔버(1.0 × 0.8 × 0.5m)에 넣어 측정하였으며, 이 때 챔버 내부의 온도는 19oC에서 28oC까지 변화시켰고 광원은 LED를 이용하여 50에서 500μmol·m-2·s-1까지 변화시키며 실험하였다. 챔버 내부의 초기 이산화탄소 농도는 2,000μmol·mol-1로 설정하였으며, 시간에 따른 이산화탄소 농도의 변화율을 이용하여 군락 광합성 속도를 계산하였다. 각 환경요인을 표현하는 3개 식을 곱하여 만든 단순곱 모델을 구성하였다. 이와 동시에 온도와 생육 시기에 따라 변화하는 광화학 이용효율과 카르복실화 컨덕 턴스, 호흡에 의한 이산화탄소 발생 속도를 포함하는 수정된 직각쌍곡선 모델을 구성하여 단순곱 모델과 비교하였다. 검증 결과 단순곱 모델은 0.849의 R2 값을 나타내었으며, 수정된 직각쌍곡선 모델은 0.861의 R2 값을 나타내었다. 수정된 직각쌍곡선 모델이 단순곱 모델에 비해 환경 요인(광도, 온도), 생육 요인(생육 시기)에 따른 군락 광합성 속도를 표현하는데 더욱 적합한 모델인 것으로 판단하였다.

        Four types of high Mn TWIP(Twinning Induced Plasticity) steels were fabricated by varying the Mn and Al content, and the tensile properties were measured at various strain rates and temperatures. An examination of the tensile properties at room temperature revealed an increase in strength with increasing strain rate because mobile dislocations interacted rapidly with the dislocations in localized regions, whereas elongation and the number of serrations decreased. The strength decreased with increasing temperature, whereas the elongation increased. A martensitic transformation occurred in the 18Mn, 22Mn and 18Mn1.6Al steels tested at −196 oC due to a decrease in the stacking fault energies with decreasing temperature. An examination of the tensile properties at −196 oC showed that the strength of the non-Al added high Mn TWIP steels was high, whereas the elongation was low because of the martensitic transformation and brittle fracture mode. Although a martensitic transformation did not occur in the 18Mn1.9Al steel, the strength increased with decreasing temperature because many twins formed in the early stages of the tensile test and interacted rapidly with the dislocations.

        The aim of the study was to determine physiochemical properties of extruded fish feed at different barrel temperature (120, 130, and 140°C) and moisture content (35, 40, and 45%). As barrel temperature and moisture content increased, expansion ratio, water holding capacity, and water stability increased, while bulk density, hardness, and swelling ratio decreased. Soaking time had significant (P<0.05) effect on water stability. Best water stability was observed on all samples soaked for 1 h. Protein digestibility was not significantly different among the samples while protein digestibility of extruded fish feed significant higher than raw materials.

        In this study, we investigated the change of physical properties associated with the temperature of vegetable mixed oil and fat in order to produce vegetable oil and fat suitable for plant meat production. The canola oil and coconut oil were mixed at various weight ratios, and the phase change temperatures by the ratio of two oils were measured using the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Storage modulus (G'), loss modulus (G") and viscosity were measured using a rheometer at 20-40°C and 0.4 Hz-100 Hz. Storage modulus (G') at constant frequency (10 Hz) was measured in a continuous section of 10-50°C. As the coconut oil content increased, the peak of the melting point moved to the lower side. The viscosity was higher in order of canola oil, mixed oil, and coconut oil, and the viscosity showed a tendency to decrease as the temperature increased. In the liquid state, it showed a tendency to increase after the value of storage modulus (G') and loss modulus (G") decreased from 0.634 Hz-1 Hz. The conversion time point of storage modulus (G') of continuous temperature change is consistent with the melting point temperature of DSC, as the passed start at 10°C, storage modulus (G') increased with an exception of canola oil. Using these results, we will pursue to produce a mixed plant oil applicable to the production of vegetable meat.

        We synthesized the zwitterionic homopolymer polysulfobetaine (PBET), which shows upper critical solution temperature property, in order to investigate its feasibility as a draw solute for the forward osmosis (FO) process. The UCST property of the monomer sulfobetaine (BET) was not confirmed, while the UCST property of PBET was confirmed to be roughly 41°C. This result suggests that PBET can be recovered from aqueous solutions by cooling them to below the UCST. In an active layer facing feed solution (AL-FS) method containing 20 wt% PBET at 50°C, the water flux and reverse solute flux of PBET were found to be roughly 3.22 LMH and 0.36 gMH, respectively. This research provides a deep understanding of new ways of developing draw solutes, and could provide inspiration for the design and synthesis of thermo-responsive organic materials.
