Even with the tiny body size, Coniopterygidae is the fourth largest group of Neuroptera. There are currently 23 genera and 560 species recorded in the world. They have a tiny-sized body, and their wings are covered with whitish wax powder and they are fairly well-known natural predators of small insects such as scale insects, aphids, and mites. Genus Cowentzia is one of the characteristic groups of Coniopteryginae; they have conspicuously reduced hind wings than other groups have. The genus contain about 14 species in the world. Here we present Conwentzia, a new genus record, with Conwentzia pineticola in Korea. We provide a brief description, photos of adult and male genitalia, and 16S rRNA sequence based the specimen examined.

One species of the genus Coleopius (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: opiinae) are reported in this study. The genus Coleopius is a small braconid group distributed in the Palaearctic and Oriental regions, which has three species in the korea in current. In this study, Coleopioides postpectalis Li and van Achterberg is recognized for the first time in South Korea, which had been recently recorded from China. Descriptions, diagnosis distribution and illustration are provided

We found a new recorded species, Drosophila subpulchrella Takamori & Watabe from Dopyeong-ri, Idong-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-province. The species of the D. suzukii subgroup in the D. melanogaster species group is reported from Japan and southern China up to now. This species is morphologically very similar to D. suzukii: with spots on the tip of fore-wing(male) and serrated ovipositor(female). The goals of this study are to add a new recorded species, D. subpulchrella to Korean fauna and provide the biological references such as morphological and molecular data using for the species identification

The genus Micrerethista Meyrick, 1938 belong to the subfamily Harmacloninae, comprises 11 described species for the world. Adult are usually very small to medium in size (wingspan, 4-16mm). The principal apomorphy of this genus, the denticulate projection of the aedeagus, easily distinguishes it from most Harmacloninae. In this study, we dealt with the genus Micrerethista is newly recorded from Korea for the first time, with one species. Illustrations of adult and genitalia are presented.

An Oriental genus Paraleprodera Breuning, 1935 (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Lamiinae: Monochamiini) has been found for the first time in Korea in the form of Paraleprodera diophthalma diophthalma (Pascoe, 1857) from South Korea. We provide the first description of the genital structure and immature stage of Paraleprodera. A diagnosis of the genus, re-description, biological information and illustrations of P. diophthalma diophthalma are also provided.

A aderid genus Phytobaenus Sahlberg is reported from Korea for the first time based on P. amabilis amabilis Sahlberg. In Korea, only one aderid species, Hylophilus praescutellaris Pic, has been recorded in Korea. A redescription of the species and illustrations of diagnostic characteristics including male genitalia are provided.

We identified two soil stichotrichs, Eschaneustyla lugeri Foissner, Agatha & Berger, 2002 and Oxytricha auripunctata Blatterer & Foissner, 1988, which were collected from Sarabong, Jeju and Ajoong-ri, Jeonju in Korea, respectively. Eschaneustyla lugeri had the following characteristics: size in vivo 170-230 μm×40-60 μm; body elongate elliptical and often very narrow in the posterior region, highly flexible; cortical granules present; 48-67 macronuclear nodules; 27-47 frontal cirri; 3-5 buccal cirri; frontoterminal row and rightmost midventral row; transverse cirri absent; 4 dorsal kineties; 4-9 caudal cirri. Oxytricha auripunctata had the following characteristics: size in vivo 75-95 μm×25-35 μm; body elliptical, both ends moderately narrowly rounded; orange-yellow cortical granules and yellowish crystals; 3-4 transverse cirri; 5 dorsal kineties; 3 caudal cirri. These two ciliates are first reported in Korea. We describe these ciliates based on live observations and protargol-impregnated specimens.

We discovered three soil ciliates of the class Colpodea-Colpoda henneguyi Fabre- Domergue, 1889; C. lucida Greeff, 1888; and Bursaria truncatella Müller, 1773 from Obong-ri, Ayajin-ri and Elwang-ri (Korea), respectively. Colpoda henneguyi had the following features: often wider preorally than postorally, size in vivo 60-80 μm×50-70 μm; extrusomes indistinct in vivo, cylindroid approximately 1 μm long; notches caused by deep diagonal groove; yellowish globules on the cortex of the cell; 10-12 postoral kineties; silverline system aspera-type. Colpoda lucida exhibited the following features: broadly reniform, size in vivo 70-90 μm×50-70 μm; conspicuous extrusomes, 3.5-5 μm long in vivo, cylindroid to fusiform; 13-16 postoral kineties; silverline system cucullus-type. Bursaria truncatella had the following features: bursiform, size in vivo 300-470 μm×120-260 μm; macronucleus coiled with highly variable shapes, 600-1100 μm×30-40 μm long in vivo; micronuclei 16-25 in number, approximately 4 μm in diameter; extrusomes cylindroid, 3-4 μm long in vivo. This is the first report of colpodean ciliates from Korea, and we describe these species based on observations of live and impregnated (protargol and silver nitrate impregnation) specimens.

The former Scelionidae (sensu stricto) is considered to be a part of Platygastridae, recently. During the parasitic wasp collecting with yellow pan trap, aiming at investigating promising biological control agents which attack on plantbug pests for soybean cultivation, one new species and one unrecorded scelionine species were identified. Opisthacantha albertoi sp. n. was collected from central part of korean peninsula. It is very unique by its yellowish body, compared with the black of the most recorded korean scelonine species. It has a long ovipositor which is 1.3 times longer than body length. It was named after the late Dr. S.-B. Ahn, the noctuid specialist. The unrecorded Tiphodytes gerriphagus (Marchal) was famous for its extremely extraordinary habit of diving for Hymenoptera to attack the eggs of gerrid hosts (Gerris, Trepobates spp.). It was collected nationwidely in Korea. As a result, two genera are newly added in korean scelionine fauna and korean Scelioninae is composed of eight species in five genera in total.
