This article examines the discourses and directions of the Korea-China Initiative for People-to-People and Cultural Ties (PCT) for which the Presidents of Korea and China signed in June 2013. The Initiative has gained public attention because Korea and China, which share cultural commonalities through the long history of mutual exchanges, employed humane and cultural resources in the diplomatic policies in an effort to substantiate the Korea-China Strategic Cooperative Partnership. Despite its successful initialization, however, differing views on the PCT have emerged in regards to the notion of cultural ties/communities and the substances of cultural commonalities. This article, based on a review of the political contexts the two countries reached the agreement, critically examines the differing nuance and positions regarding the Initiative. It pays special attention to the Chinese contexts where traditional cultures, usually represented with Confucianism and Chinese characters, are actively employed as political, ideological and diplomatic devices. In addition, examining the Chinese strategies regarding PCT and foreign policies, this article quests for balanced, reciprocal directions of the Initiative.

오늘날 교정 현장의 인문학 교육은 대부분 일회성으로 행해지고 있으며 체계적인 교육은 실시되지 못하고 있다. 그 이유는 무엇보다 교정 직원들의 인문학에 대한 무지와 무관심에 기인한다. 이런 점들을 고려하여 본 논문은 내실 있는 인문학 교육을 위해 두 가지 방향을 염두에 두고 작성하였다. 그 하나는 인문학이란 무엇이며 왜 교정 시설에서 인문학 교육이 필요한지 그 이유를 밝히고자 한 것이고, 다른 하나는 인문학 교육은 누구를 대상으로 어떤 방법으로 실시하느냐? 하는 것이었다. 전자를 위해 동·서양의 인문학 개념과 클레멘트 코스가 우리 교정 시설 내 인문학 교육에 끼친 영향 등을 알아보았다. 그리고 인문학이 어떻게 수용자들의 삶에 도움을 줄 수 있는 이유를 연구하였다. 후자에 있어선 수용자 위주의 인문학 교육이 수용자뿐 아니라 직원들에게도 필요하다는 것과 그 구체적인 교육 방법을 논하였다. 특히 교육 담당 직원은 대학의 지도교수의 역할을 해야 함에도 기존의 연구들엔 이들 교육 담당 직원을 어떤 프로그램으로 어떻게 교육 시킬 것인가에 대한 논의가 없었다. 이에 필자는 법무 연수원에 “인문학 교육”을 정식 과목으로 편성하여 주기적인 교육이 필요함을 강조하였다. 수용자 교육에 있어서도 대상자 선정, 교육 목표 설정, 교육 인프라등에 대해 연구하였다. 교정 시설 내에서 성공적인 인문학 교육을 하는데 중요한 것은 교정 직원들이 인문학 교육의 의미와 필요성을 깨달아 수용자에게 체계적인 교육을 실시 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저 직원들에 대한 선행 교육이 이루어져야 한다. 그런 점에서 이 논문은 교정 시설 내에서 인문학 교육의 필요성에 대해 고민을 한 데 의의가 있다.

"The Arts of Music" in a scientific and humanistic approach for the department of science and engineering starts with a basic premise that music courses established as liberal arts in college should focus on certain topics instead of an introduction to the study. That is, the intent of this study was to show that music as liberal arts in college could achieve more efficient and rational operation and generate greater educational effects when being integrated into certain topics based on its connections with other majors. Presenting a concept of music history, appreciation, and theory combined together, "The Arts of Music" was designed to increase the thinking abilities and emotional expressive skills of students in the Department of Science and Engineering and offer an ideal course in the line of correlations between music and science in the approach of humanities and social science. The lecture schedule of "The Arts of Music" was determined to include 32 hours over total 16 weeks according to the undergraduate school. Each of the four topics, which were mathematics, natural science, space science, and applied science, would have four weeks. The first category would cover correlations and interactions between music and mathematics within their relations including the creation of notes according to the vibration rate, Roman numeral analysis to analyze music chords in numbers, and the acoustic features of the Baroque Period represented by figured bass. The second category would cover natural science and music, presenting The Four Seasons by Vivaldi, The Pastorale Symphony by Beethoven, Raindrops by Chopin, and Winterreise by Schubert. The third one would cover space science and music. Music began to be discussed in the principles of celestial bodies in the literature of Middle Ages. There is man in the universe, and man creates music. Adopting the philosophy, the study talked about stories about space science in music history. The topic featured Pierre Lunaire by Schoenberg, Clair de Lune by Debussy, and The Planet by Holst. The final category would cover applied science meeting music, dealing with various changes caused by the impact of electricity and electronics on music. Its examples include Sinfonia by Berio, Ionisation by Varese, and modern versions of Canon by Pachelbel arranged by many pop musicians. The teaching method-based approach will help the students in the Department of Science and Engineering increase their interest and participation in lectures, efficiently cultivate artistic and humanistic culture, and develop the ability of seeing music from a humanistic perspective, thus recognizing that music language can be a means of enriching their lives.

Play for mankind was evolved into the current era of digital media found in a monitor, so-called ‘game’. Along the current trend of broadly expanding the users of game, the collision is frequently occurred from the issues associated with balance between the proper and reverse function melted in a terminology, “game”. However from the perspective of writer, the existence of game, if it is in an inseparable relation with the mankind, should be fully accepted, rather than be blamed, therefore, our life should be settled down as a cultural trend in the age of “cultural prosperity”. The writer also realizes that game should be settled down as advanced cultural contents as high-edge, comprehensive cultural arts. Therefore, the writer strongly argues that the convergence of engineering and humanities imaginations should be achieved for the unity of knowledge in game industry. Humanistic element is required for the convergence of engineering and humanistic imaginations. In-depth consideration is highly required to find an approach how two afore-mentioned elements, that are totally different each other but in the neighborhood, are to be well-mixed and integrated for story-telling, which is the ultimate motivation for this study. Therefore as a result, a key to dilute the dysfunctional issues associated in game industry was the convergence of humanities; accordingly, this study was to seek a methodology what humanities can be integrated with the components of game, such as character, event and background.

There are 3,358 islands in Korea and about 85% of them are uninhabited islands. Concerning this, Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs (MLTM) has been seeking not only to settle the fundamental policy on the preservation, the utilization, and the development of the uninhabited islands but also to search the proper types of management suitable for the specialities by inhabited islands. Accordingly, we participated the humanities and sociological research from May 2012 to January 2013 by MLTM intended for 171 uninhabited islands belonging to Mokpo City, Yeosu City, Jindo-Gun, and Shinan-Gun for the purpose of the effective management and utilization of the uninhabited islands. In this treatise, we report the result of the humanities and sociological research about twenty six uninhabited islands nearby Hong-do island.

Among 3,358 islands in Korea, about eighty five percentage of them are uninhabited islands. Concerning this, Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs (MLTM) has been seeking to settle the fundamental policy on the preservation, the utilization, and the development of the uninhabited islands and to search the proper types of management suitable for the specialities by inhabited islands. As part of such research, we participated the humanities and social science research from May 2012 to January 2013 by MLTM intended for 171 uninhabited islands in Mokpo City, Yeosu City, Jindo-Gun, and Shinan-Gun of Jeollanam-Do for the purpose of the effective management and utilization of the uninhabited islands. First of all, in this treatise, we report the results of the humanities and sociological research about nine uninhabited islands nearby Gakyeo island in Shinan-Gun of Jeollanam-Do.

본 연구는 다양한 특성을 지닌 주택의 경제적 가치를 평가하기 위해 최적의 주택 가격 결정 모형을 추정하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 연구는 두 가지 접근 방법으로 서울시 아파트 가격을 분석한다. 첫째, 선형회귀모형, 공간회귀모형, 그리고 다층모형 등 기존의 방법론을 기초로 주택가격 결정요인을 설명하고, 둘째, 공간적 특성을 반영한 다층모형을 새롭게 적용하여 분석 결과를 비교했다. 구체적으로 매매가격과 전세가격을 설명하는 과정에서 아파트의 물리적 특성, 해당 지역의 주변환경, 교육환경, 지역속성을 반영하였다. 연구 결과 공간적 특성을 반영한 다층모형의 설명력이 가장 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 이 연구는 기존의 부동산 관련 연구들이 공간적인 요소를 고려하지 못한다는 제약을 극복하고 가격 결정 요인 분석 결과를 통해 경제 정책 수립을 위한 주택시장 진단에 도움이 되는 지리정보를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

기존의 키워드 기반 검색방식의 한계를 개선하기 위해 최근에 의미, 개념 기반 검색인 시맨틱 웹이 등장하였고, 이러한 시멘틱 웹의 발전과 더불어 이를 표현하기 위한 도구로써 Ontology 언어도 발전하고 있다. 이러한 기술의 발전에 힘입어 우리나라에서는 인문지리정보 포탈 시스템 구축사업이 Semantic Web, Ontology기술을 활용하여 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나 인문지리정보 통합 DB 및 온톨로지 KB 구축과정에 있어서 각 단계별 검증방안이 제시되고 있지 않으며, 2011년에 인문지리정보 분류체계의 검증 기준에 대한 연구를 하였지만, 추상적이고 실제로 통합 DB 및 온톨로지 KB 구축과정에 적용하기에는 어려운 문제점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 정보시스템 및 GIS 분야의 감리 방법론을 토대로 검증 방향을 설정하고, 통합 DB 및 온톨로지 KB의 구축과정의 특수성을 반영하여 각 단계별 정량적이고 객관적인 검증 방안을 제안한다.

본 연구는 통영 수월숲의 인문학적 특성과 자연생태적 특성을 바탕으로 효율적인 보존 관리방안을 제안하기 위해 진행하였다. 김해김씨 서암파 문중 소유인 대상지는 약 1,000년 전 태풍에 대비하여 농작물을 보호하고자 조성한 숲으로 1960년까지 동신제를 지내는 등 양호하게 보호 관리되어 왔었다. 방풍림의 면적은 12,392.69m2로 느티나무, 팽나무, 푸조나무 등 낙엽활엽수 노거수가 우점종이었으며 주변은 경작지(52.1%), 도시화지역(26.3%), 산림지역(16.6%)으로 둘러싸여 있었다. 우점종 및 이용압을 고려하여 군집을 분류한 결과, 이용압이 낮은 푸조나무군락(I), 굴피나무-소사나무-느티나무군락(II), 이용압이 높은 느티나무군락(III), 느티나무-푸조나무군락(IV), 이용에 의해 하층이 훼손된 느티나무군락(V)으로 구분되었다. 방풍림의 보존상태는 양호하나 과거 잘못된 마을숲 복원 사업, 내부를 관통하는 산책로, 교육장 설치 등으로 인해 훼손의 우려가 있었다. 따라서 수월숲 고유의 가치를 복원하기 위해서는 개발에 의한 숲 변화, 이용압에 의한 훼손, 관리부재로 인한 쇠퇴현상을 개선해야 할 것이다. 이용압에 의한 훼손을 방지하기 위해서는 과도한 휴게시설 철거와 정적이고 소극적인 이용을 유도해야 하고, 개발에 의한 숲 변화를 막기 위해서는 우회로를 설정한 후 관통도로를 폐쇄하는 것이, 관리부재로 인한 쇠퇴현상 개선을 위해서는 현명한 이용을 전제로 차대목 육성과 하층식생 복원이 필요하였다. 차대목은 숲내 우점종인 느티나무, 팽나무, 푸조나무, 이팝나무 등을 모수로 실생묘를 육성 도입하여 식생 및 원형경관을 회복해야 할 것이다. 하층식생 훼손지역 복원을 위해 훼손지와 양호한 식생군락을 비교한 결과 아교목층은 10.8개체, 관목층은 79.7개체 차이가 나므로 부족분을 보완식재해야 할 것이다.

이 글은 사회문제 해결형 인문사회－과학기술 융합연구의 특성을 정리하고 그것을 활성화하기 위한 방안을 다룬다. 먼저 현재 이루어지고 있는 사회문제 해결형 인문사회－과학기술 융합연구의 사례를 살펴볼 것이다. 복잡한 사회문제를 해결하기 위한 인문사회－과학기술 융합연구 사례와 기술이 가져올 수 있는 사회적 문제를 사전적으로 성찰하고 개선하기 위한 연구를 검토할 것이다. 이어서 사회문제 해결형 융합연구를 범주화하기 위한 틀로서 (Mode 2) 연구를 제시하고 이를 바탕으로 사회문제 해결형 인문사회－과학기술 융합연구의 특성을 살펴본다. 이 특성을 기준으로 사회문제 해결형 인문사회－과학기술 융합연구의 역할과 발전방향을 모색한다.

글로벌 시대의 국가경쟁력 제고를 위해 인문지리정보의 중요성을 인식하고 인문지리정보 분류체계를 제시하고자 하였다. 먼저 인문지리정보(Human-oriented Geographic Information)의 뜻과 목적을 명확히 밝히고 기본지리정보와 국토지리정보와 관계를 정리하였다. 나아가 분류틀을 구성하는 원리를 제시하고 구성요소를 선정하는 원칙과 방안을 마련하였다. 국내외 분류체계를 분석함으로써 대분류와 중분류의 항목들을 도출하였고 각 항목들을 설명하였다. 그리고 제주도를 사례로 지역 특화된 분류체계을 설정해 보았다. 연구 결과의 시사점은 인문지리정보 분류체계는 지역성을 반영할 수 있게 유연하게 구축되어야 하고 새로운 지리 콘텐츠를 발굴을 포함해야 한다는 것이다.

본 연구는 인문지리정보 통합시스템 구축에 있어서 온톨로지 지식기반 구축에 관한 연구로서 인문지리정보의 통합적 활용방안에 대해 논의하였다. 온톨로지 모델링의 방법을 이용하여 수집된 지리정보들을 조직화하고, 재사용가능한 정보로서 데이터들간의 관계를 설정하였으며 온톨로지를 활용하여 사용자 중심의 시나리오에 기반한 검색을 가능하게 하였다. 시범연구지역인 제주도를 사례로하여 다양한 지역지리정보를 수집하여 온톨로지 모델링을 통해 정의한 클래스에 맞추어 온톨로지 인스턴스를 구축하여 사용자를 위한 통합DB를 활용한 시맨틱 검색을 가능하게 하였다.

최근 국가지리정보유통망을 통한 공간정보 통합에 대한 논의처럼, 속성데이터 중심의 인문지리정보 데이터베이스도 시작 단계에서부터 향후의 통합을 고려한 프로토콜을 필요로 한다. 본 연구에서는 효율적인 인문지리정보 DB 구축을 위해 DB 모델의 원칙과 절차, 즉 데이터 모델, DB 정규화, 데이터 무결성에 대해 인문지리정보 사례를 통해 방향을 제시하였고, 인문지리정보의 변화를 수용할 수 있는 시간성 확보 방안과 온톨로지와 통합DB를 효과적으로 연계하는 방안을 제시하였다. 특히 시간에 따른 정보의 변화를 저장하기 위해 TimeStamp 객체와 TimeSPAN 객체를 DB에 임베드하였고 시간관계 함수를 이용해 검색할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 수시 갱신이 필요한 인문지리정보 DB를 온톨로지와 연계하기 위해서는 DBMS 내의 RDF 객체를 활용하는 효율적인 방법을 제시하였다. 이러한 방안은 인문지리정보 DB 뿐만 아니라 수시갱신이 요구되는 대용량의 DB 구축시 가장 근본적으로 검토하여야 할 내용을 제시해 줄 것이다.

지아장커에게 중요한 것은 바로 우리들의 삶이다. 변화 속에서도 우리는 계속 생활해야 하고 살아가야만 하기 때문에, 그는 인간문제에 대해 초지일관 관심을 기울이는 것이다. 그의 영화는 대변화하는 시대를 따라가지 못하고 역사의 잔해물로 전락해버린, 남겨진 자들의 대한 안타까움과 슬픔을 기록하고 있다. 그는 살아갈 수밖에 없는 인간의 무늬를 섬세한 시선으로 포착하고 있는 것이다. ≪삼협호인(三峽好人)≫도 상징성 짙은 장면들의 연속을 통해 대변화의 역사 속에 놓여진 사람들의 문제에 대해서 말하고 있다.
