        본 연구의 목적은 교정공무원의 성격5요인이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 대한 직무 스트레스와 동료관계의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울 및 경기도에 위 치한 교정시설에 근무하는 교정공무원 총 220명을 대상으로 조직몰입 척도, 성격5요 인 척도, 직무스트레스 척도, 의사소통 척도, 대인관계 척도를 실시하였다. 수집된 자 료는 SPSS Win 21.0 프로그램을 이용해 빈도분석, Pearson의 상관관계 분석, 위계 적 중다회귀분석, 단순회귀분석 및 중다회귀분석을 진행하였다. 주요 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교정공무원의 조직몰입에 대한 성격5요인, 직무스트레스, 대인관 계의 상대적 영향력을 살펴본 결과 성격5요인 중 친화성과 직무스트레스의 유의한 영 향력을 확인하였다. 둘째, 교정공무원의 외향성이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 직무스트 레스는 완전 매개효과를 나타냈으며, 친화성이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 직무스트레스는 부분 매개효과를 나타냈다. 셋째, 교정공무원의 외향성과 개방성이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 대해 동료관계는 완전 매개효과를 나타냈으며, 친화성이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 동료관계는 부분 매개효과를 나타냈다.

        기존의 정서연구들에서는 감정표현불능증이 우울의 중요한 예측변인이라는 점을 반복적으로 제시하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이러한 두 변인의 관계가 성격요인에 의해 조절될 수 있는지를 성격 5요인을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 312명의 대학생을 대상으로 감정표현불능증, 우울, 성격 5요인을 포함한 온라인 설문을 실시하고 조절효과를 확인해 보았다. 분석 결과, 감정표현불능증은 우울을 예측하여 기존 연구 흐름과 맥을 같이 하였다. 또한, 조절효과를 검증한 결과, 우호성, 정서적 안정성, 개방성은 감정표현불능증과 우울 간의 관계를 조절한 반면, 외향성과 성실성은 조절하 지 않았다. 본 연구의 결과는 자신의 감정을 제대로 인지하지 못하고 표현하지 못하는 것이 우울을 높일 수 있는데, 이를 완화하는 데는 우호적이고 정서적으로 안정적이며 개방적인 성격이 도움이 된다는 점을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 감정표현불능증에 의해 우울이 증가하는 과정에서 어떤 구체적인 성격특질이 조절변인으로 기능하는지를 변별적으 로 제시하였다는 중요한 함의를 갖고 있다.

        The purpose of this study is to find and compare the differences in stress level, stressor, and coping style of high school students according to their personality traits. And to identify the personality traits contributing to stress reduction. The results of the study can be used as basic data for reducing the stress of adolescents to improve their academic achievement and maintain mental and physical stability. The questionnaire survey was conducted for 10 days from June 7 to June 16, 2017 for S high school students in Chungbuk Province. The study employed four measuring instruments as Ego-gram, Ok-gram, stressor scale, and stress coping type scale. Individual personality traits were classified into ego-states and ok-states in TA (Transactional Analysis). Stressors are classified into 5 categories (school life, home life, human relationship, myself, environment) and stress coping styles are classified into 4 categories (problem-focused coping, social-support coping, feeling-focused coping, hope-thinking coping) used in the previous studies. The collected data were analyzed using T-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. As a result, the stress level of high school students showed significant differences according to sex, year, grade, sleeping time, personality traits, and coping styles. Personality traits that contributed to the stress increase were NP, AC, ‘you positive’, ‘i negative’ and personality trait that contributes to stress reduction is ‘you negative.’ Therefore, we can judge that individual personality traits have significant effects on stress level, stressor, and coping style and need to find the effective stress management method suitable for individual personality traits using counseling, repetition training, self-suggestion etc.

        Recent studies have shown that during the playing of violent online games, it is not increased aggression but rather alleviation in aggression that is critical in determining whether playing gaming has positive outcomes on the venting of aggression. Drawing from the aggression catharsis perspective and gaming research, we extend this line of investigation by exploring whether gaming results in a decrease in aggression, across a wide variety of games. Using data from a survey of 771 online game users in Korea, we examined the associations among Therapeutic Catharsis Seeking, Game Self-Efficacy, Big Five Personality Traits, Game genre (violent or nonviolent), Daily online gaming time, and Demographic variables. Results showed that therapeutic catharsis seeking and game self-efficacy decreased user aggression. Neuroticism negatively affected aggression while agreeableness enhanced the degree of aggression regardless of game genre. These findings have important implications for the use of gaming as a mood management tool.

        본 연구는 상담심리학의 성격특성이론에 근거하여 좌·우뇌의 신경학적 비대칭성 및 두뇌 각 영역에서의 활성뇌파와 성격의 요인별 특성과의 관련성을 EEG측정을 통해 알아보고자 하였다. 이에 96명의 대학생들을 대상으로 8채널 EEG 장비를 이용하여 뇌파를 측정한 후 컴퓨터로 분석한 자료와 성격 5요인 질문지를 사용하여 조사한 자료를 통계 분석하 였다. 그 결과 전전두엽의 쎄타파 좌·우뇌비대칭이 클수록 성격요인 중 신경증이 높은 것으로 나타났고, 각 두뇌영역별 로는 전전두엽좌측의 쎄타파 활성이 클수록 신경증은 높고, 성실성은 낮아지는 것으로 나타났으며, 전두엽좌측의 베타 파 활성이 클수록 외향성과 개방성이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 두뇌영역별 특정뇌파리듬의 활성 이 개인의 성격 및 심리적 특성에 유의미한 관련이 있음을 알 수 있게 한다. 기존의 연구들 대부분이 주로 알파파, 베타파 영역에서 성격과의 관련성에 대해 언급했던 것과 달리, 본 연구결과는 세타파가 성격특성과 관련이 있을 수 있음을 시사한다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 두뇌관련 상담전략과 후속연구에 대해 제언하였다.

        This study analyzes the use of the personality metaphor in the official tourism websites developed by South American countries. The Big-Five human personality dimensions are used as a proxy to explore the intended personality projected by the countries. A multistage methodology using a combination of content analysis and correspondence analysis was used. Results reveal the existence of four main clusters based on the use of different personality traits to communicate the peculiarities of each country. However, an overall view of the results indicates that South American countries are not using in a substantial way the personality metaphor to create a strong positioning for the international tourists, and therefore the use of this new marketing tool is in its nascent stages.

        In this study, the relationships among obesity, food behavior, and personality traits were studied in male and female elementary school children. The obesity rates were calculated via the measured heights and weights of the subjects. Food behavior was surveyed via a questionnaire. Personality traits were evaluated using an authorized personality test. The obesity rates in the child subjects in this study were 34.1%in the male children, and 28.7% in the female children, and the rates of underweight were 18.2% in the males and 28.7% in the females. The percentage of obese children was slightly higher in the male population than in the female population. With regard to food behavior, the females evidenced significantly higher points than the males, particularly on the items designated 'slow eating' and 'stop eating upon satiety'. Among the personality traits assessed herein, which included emotional stability, general activity, sociability, masculinity, responsibility, reflectiveness, and superiority, the females evidenced significantly higher sociability scores than the males. The personality traits did not appear to be significantly associated with the obesity rate. However, the obese children scored lowest on all personality traits among the three groups. In terms of the relationship between food behavior and personality traits, children with high stability, sociability, responsibility, and superiority also had significantly higher food behavior scores. These results imply that the maintenance of good food behavior may enhance stability, sociability, responsibility, and superiority in children.

        This empirical research is aimed at testing the relationship of the big five personality traits namely openness to experience, extraversion, consciousness, agreeableness, neuroticism, and risk aversion with the investment intention of individual investors belonging to Balochistan, Pakistan. The primary data is collected through a self-administered questionnaire (a structured form that consists of a series of closed-ended and open-ended questions) from a sample of 397 active individual investors belonging to different districts of the province. The data is empirically analyzed by applying the Partial Least Square (PLS) path modeling technique by using the estimation package available in Smart-PLS. The findings of this study suggest that all the variables are statistically significant with investors’ investment intention with risk aversion as the strongest predictor. Moreover, openness to experience, extraversion, consciousness, agreeableness, and risk are significantly and positively related to an investor’s investment intention, whereas neuroticism is negatively related to an investor’s investment intention. The results extended by this study can be used by financial planners and investment bankers to channelize the available financial resources in diversified portfolios. The results will help financial planners to make available diverse investment alternatives for investors in Balochistan, thus catering to their unique needs. Academia must offer courses on contemporary finance paradigm based on behavioral finance to enable future business graduates to make wise financial decisions.

        Although networking behavior is an effective job search method to students, far too little attention has been paid to mechanisms explaining the antecedents and networking behavior. The goal of this study was to demonstrate the effect of the HEXACO personality dimensions on graduated students’ job search networking behavior through their network size. A survey of 773 participants was conducted to assess personality traits, network size, and networking behavior. All constructs in the study were measured by 5-point Likert scales. This study employed a structural equation model to examine the proposed conceptual model and the correlations among variables. Results showed that the personality of emotionality negatively influence students’ network size, while extraversion and agreeableness are positively associated with the scope of their social network. Second, the findings confirmed that network size is directly related to the level of looking-for job behavior, particularly networking behavior. Finally, our results explored that network size played the mediating effect on how personality traits affect networking behavior. These findings suggest that network size is a dynamic mechanism that helps to understand the correlation between personality traits and job search networking behavior. The theoretical and practical implication of the study, as well as the future research direction were discussed.

        This study’s primary purpose is to explore the psychological capital roles and personality traits of Big-Five in predicting OCB (organizational citizenship behavior) and performance of task in Indonesia’s electricity sector. The data were gathered from the employees of four major cities in Indonesia, in Southeast Sulawesi, comprising 246 employees. The data were analyzed utilizing a PLS (partial least squares) based SEM (structural equation modeling) technique. The findings indicate that the psychological capital and personality traits of Big-Five relate significantly to OCB and the performance of task. Nevertheless, against our expectations, OCB does not significantly relate to the performance of task. This study also discusses the findings’ further implications. In terms of practical implications, the findings of this research stipulate that psychological capital and Big-Five personality traits aimed to improve employee performance and can be most effective if specifically targeted at OCB. Given that both variables play an important role to promote OCB, caring training initiatives that focus on mutual help can be very valuable for organizational improvement. In a managerial perspective, organizations can increase OCB by conducting open communication strategies between managers and employees to further stimulate and strengthen the ability of employees to display extra-role behaviors.

        The study examined how the personality traits, manifested during serious leisure experience, i.e., experiences that involve the acquisition of special knowledge or techniques and the participation required to achieve the expertise necessary to express them. This study also investigated how such subjective well-being affected behavioral intention, specifically, the intention to use the same leisure facilities again and to spread this information to acquaintances by positive word of mouth. A survey was administered to 727 research subjects selected from pre-registered panels enrolled by an online research organization. The main constructs examined in this study were measured on 5-point Likert scales using multiple items. A structural equation model was employed to verify the proposed conceptual model and the relationships among variables. The results revealed that, of the personality traits, participants high in extraversion, openness to experience, and agreeableness felt high levels of life satisfaction and positive affect, i.e. a sense of subjective well-being. Second, users who felt a high level of subjective well-being, specifically, high life satisfaction and positive affect, also indicated a high level of behavioral intention. Finally, the academic and practical implications and limitations of the study, as well as future research plans involving the personality traits underlying serious leisure experiences are discussed.

        Personality factors and ethical values are considered as vital element in social and professional life. This present research aims to explore the relationship between Personality and Job Satisfaction. Further, we tried to test the moderating effect of Islamic work ethics (IWE) in the relationship of Personality traits with Job satisfaction. Convenience sampling was used in defining sample as in Pakistan there is no data base which provides information regarding number of employees. Due to moderating variable the data has been collected from respondents who identify themselves as Muslim. To collect data from respondents Self-administered, close-ended questionnaires and e-questionnaire were used in this study and respondents were targeted in the normal working environment. Correlation and regression analysis was used to analyze the data statistically. The results of study indicated that neuroticism exhibits significant negative effect on job satisfaction. Also, openness to experience, agreeableness and conscientiousness showed positive effect on job satisfaction. Whereas, extraversion exhibits no effect on job satisfaction and IWE has a negative effect on job satisfaction. However, the output indicates that IWE do not act as moderator in the relation of agreeableness and conscientiousness with job satisfaction moderation effect of IWE is observed between the relationship of neuroticism, extraversion and openness to experience with job satisfaction.
