This paper focuses on the after synthesis of CdTe quantum dots(QDs) in aqueous solution. CdTe nanoparticles were prepared in aqueous solution using mercaptocarboxylic acid or thioglycolic acid(TGA) as stabilizing agents. QDs emit light smaller than the nano size. The contents of the mercaptocarboxylic acid, and a kind of raw material, were revealed for a period of time. We succeeded in synthesizing a very high quality QDs solution; we discussed how to make QDs better and to keep them stabilized. TGA is known as one of the best stabilizing agents. Many papers have mentioned that TGA is a good stabilizing agent. We dramatically confirmed the state of QDs after the experiments. The QDs solution can be influenced by several factors. Different content of TGA can influence the stability of the CdTe solution. Most papers deal with the synthesis of CdTe, so we decided to discuss the after synthesis process for the stability of the CdTe solution.

The combustion reaction of polyvinylchloride(PVC) was investigated using a thermogravimetric technique under an air atmosphere condition at several heating rates from 10 to 50℃/min. To obtain information on the kinetic parameters, the dynamic thermogravimetric analysis curve and its derivative were analyzed by a variety of analytical methods such as Kissinger, Friedman, Chatterjee-Conrad, Ozawa and Coats-Redfern methods. The combustion reaction of PVC proceeded in two steps; the first step was caused by the dehydrochlorination process in PVC, and the second step by the combustion of polyene. The comparative works for the kinetic results obtained from various methods should be performed to determine the kinetic parameters, because there are tremendous differences in the calculated kinetic parameters depending upon the mathematical method taken in the analysis.

In this study, to analyze the change of mass of concrete structure subjected to fire damage, cement paste was exposed at high temperature to maintenance time and analyzed mass change characteristics by TGA analysis. As a result of analysis, the mass reduction rate of cement paste decreased with increasing heating time after heating at high temperature.

Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) is a thermal analysis technique that the mass of sample is measured by time and temperature changes. In this study, TGA was applied for estimating the proportion of Nylon-6,6 nanofibers in the cement paste as well as the decomposition temperature of Nylon-6,6 nanofibers. An electrospinning process was conducted for producing nanofibers and adding directly into the cement powder. The TGA results show that there was approximately 0.5 % of nanofibers in the composite pastes. Besides, the decomposition temperature of Nylon-6,6 nanofibers was clarified in the range of 300℃ to 410℃.

In this research is underway to determine the exact damage level of concrete structures damaged by fire. Cement paste hardened at 700℃ was characterized by TGA. As the depth increased, the mass reduction rate increased and the mass reduction rate decreased as the retention time increased.

In this study proximate analysis method was applied to food waste, mold, sewage sludge, PKS, PET in considering the characteristics of individual waste. It has been observed that this proximate analysis method based on the characteristics of individual waste required to dry the waste for more than 180 min, until the moisture contents reached the range of 105oC ~ 110oC and they reached the constant weight. Also it has been suggested that 7 min of ignition at 950oC for volatile matters and 120 ~ 180 min of ignition at max. 815oC for ash were recommended.

In this study, C-CO2 reaction was investigated to achieve a simultaneous effect reducing green house gas and enhancing synthetic gas production. Carbon dioxide and oxygen were used as gasification agents in various concentrations. The Boudouard reaction in which CO2 reacts with carbon was expected for the enhancement of CO production. The reaction CO2 + C 2 CO was confirmed through thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA) experiment. The weight of activated carbon used as a carbon source did not changed above 750oC in nitrogen condition, while sharply decreased in CO2 condition, illustrating the presence of Boudouard reaction. The weight of activated carbon and concentrations of H, H2, CH2, CH4, H2O, CO, O2, CO2 evolved from gasification reaction were continuously analysed in different gasification agent varying CO2 and O2 ratio. Weight loss rate increased according to the increase of oxygen ratio. The window on which CO peak evolved shifted to higher temperature according to CO2 concentration in gasification agent. It is proposed that varying CO2/O2 mole ratio can control the reaction ratio of combustion and gasification and shift concentration peak temperature.
