It is very important to evaluate the priority of prevention factors and strategies in order to minimize industrial accident. It provides decisive information for accident prevention and safety management. Therefore, this paper proposes evaluation method of the priority through statistic testing with prevention factors and strategies by the cause analysis of cause and effect models. Especially, this paper uses priority matrix criterion to justify application of rank and objectivity. This paper is based on the results of a questionnaire of workers and managers who are engaged by real manufacturing and construction industries with less than 300 workers in the central region of Korea, where most of the fatal accidents have happened. Finally, the result provides one way to implement safety management for industrial accident prevention.
The present management of the domestic and international advanced enterprises is transferring the systems and the regulations to the prevention system management. Expecially, KOSHA (Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency) in Korea has supported to set up the OSHMS (Occupational Safety & Health Management System) by KOSHA 18001 since 1997. But small & medium enterprises (SMS) have many difficulties to set up the OSHMS because of limited natural and human resources. Therefore, this study is developed and proposed the certification standard of an OSHMS for SMS based on the case study on advanced countries, actual conditions of SMS in Korea, and opinion of specialists.
The psychosocial stress and musculoskeletal disorders(MSDs) have been one of major health problems for hospital workers. This study tried to understand the relationship between symptoms associated with MSDs and risk factors such as working posture, job stress, psychosocial stress and fatigue. A total number of 655 hospital workers participated in this study. Specifically, REBA was applied for evaluating working posture and a checklist prepared by KOSHA(Korean Occupational Safety and Health Agency) was used for symptom survey. A questionnaire from KOSHA was also used for collecting data associated with job stress, psychosocial stress and fatigue. All these data were formulated and modeled by path analysis which was one of major statistical tools in this study. Specifically, path analysis for the data we collected came up with several major findings. The risk scores from working posture based on REBA had indirect effects via fatigue factor(MFS) as well as direct effects on symptoms. The factors associated with job stress (KOSS) and psychosocial stress(PWI-SF) had significant effects on symptoms. Specifically, indirect effect of job stress factors via fatigue factors(MFS) had bigger than that of direct effect of job stress on symptom.
Recently, there are many research of musculoskeletal disorders in manufacturing industry because of increasing interest of that disorders, but the research is still lacking in the small business and service industry. So we researched relationship between working characteristics and subjective symptoms associated with musculoskeletal disorders by get information of 145 hairdresser about working hour, work record, position and working pattern. The results of this research show that there are many musculoskeletal disorders of hairdressers' neck, shoulder, arm, knee and also close relationship between working characteristics and subjective symptoms associated with musculoskeletal disorders. Besides, some parts of subjective symptoms have an effect on other parts of body. This information contributes to future reference and a precautionary measure about musculoskeletal disorders for hairdressers.

This study suggest a way to improve duty process of KTX(Korea Train Express) high-speed train driver. A new operating system which based on safety was introduced to operate high-speed train which travel above 300km/h on the high-speed railroad but below 200km/h on the general railroad. There were some studies on the operation of high-speed train which travel on the high-speed railroad and on the general railroad with safety. However they overlooked the elements of human errors. The duty-load of KTX train driver's 14 basic operation processes was measured using NASA-TLX and found four processes with high duty-load. In this paper, critical tasks of the high duty-load processes are determined using a questionnaire. Some suggestions which include the improvement of facilities, operating system and operating skill are proposed to lighten duty-load of the critical tasks. The validity of the proposed new task processes is demonstrated by making question to KTX train driver. To use this results cost-benefit analysis, hazards analysis etc. should be performed additionally.
The purpose of this paper is to review the moderating effect of social support on the relationship between job stress responses(physiological response, psychological response, behavioral response) and occupational accidents/illness. Based on the responses from 187 employees in small & medium manufacturing industry, hierarchical regressional analysis showed that physiological response has positive relationship with accidents and illness, and psychological response has positive relationship with accident. Social support has partly moderating effect on the relationship between job stress responses and occupational accidents/illness.
The Manchester Driver Behavior Questionnaire (DBQ) is the most commonly used frameworks for investigating the relationship between self-reported driving behavior and accident involvement. After Reason et al. introduced DBQ, there were many studies replicating the research of Reason et al. in many countries. There was, however, no study replication of the Reason's research in Korea. The aim of this study is to replicate the distinction among errors, lapses and violations, and to evaluate the relationship of these behaviors with road traffic accidents on Korean drivers. 223 Korean drivers completed the Korean version of original DBQ with questions regarding background information, such as age, gender, annual mileage and accident involvement. Participants answered self-assessment questions, also. Factor analysis revealed three factors like Reason et al. The three factors were dangerous errors, violations and relatively harmless errors.
The current electrical safety plan developed for the national electricity system has been playing an important role in handling a variety of electrical accidents. However, it can be more effective to prevent or reduce those accidents if a preventive electrical safety plan is available. In this paper, an approach to developing the safety plan is described. We first discuss the contents that should be included in the plan. Noting that an effective plan requires the system level consideration of all the factors affecting the safety issues, an operation concept document (OCD) is considered. The OCD can allow us to understand the behavior of the safety system based on the operation environment, the system functions, the performance requirements, all at the system level of the safety system. Thus, the OCD can be useful in developing the safety plan. A detailed description then follows on how the OCD is developed for the electrical safety system under study. Finally, we discuss how the developed OCD can be used in deriving the preventive electrical safety plan.

The result of this study is judged to be used for laboratory safety education prevention programs, laboratory environment improvement, investment or improvement of laboratories through the actual safety management status of laboratories such as vulnerable works for generation of unexpected sudden accidents according to kind, scale, and type of laboratories, period of occurrence, prevention education, necessity for preliminary test, and cause of laboratory accidents.
A successful fire risk assessment is depends on identification of risk, the analytical process of potential risk, on estimation of likelihood and the width and depth of consequence. Take the influence on enterprise into consideration, Fire risk assessment could carry out along the evaluation of the risk importance, the risk level and the risk acceptance. A large part of the limitation of choosing the risk assessment techniques impose restrictions on expense and time. If it is unnecessary high level risk assessment or Probabilistic Risk Assessment of buildings, in compliance with the Relative Ranking Method, Fire risk indexing and assessing is possible. As working-level technique, AHP method is useful with practical technique.
The purpose of this study is to distinguish the causes of broken glass on doors or windows when it is originally kept among the remains on the floor in fire site - whether it was broken due to heating or outer power-through test and characteristics of the broken plane including the pattern on the plane. Addition to it, the study tries to find characteristics to judge the point and direction of breakdown through the analysis of glass broken by outer power. With two assumed causes - a) breakdown due to heating and b) breakdown due to outer power-3 pieces of glass plates (30cm×30cm×5mm) were tested for each case, getting the results as following: First, for the glass broken due to the change of temperature, the broken plane is of slow and smooth curve without any pattern. Second, for the glass broken due to outer power, with the impact point as the center, the glass shows breakdown of radial type and the side shows breakdown of near-perpendicular type. The far the broken piece is from the impact point, the bigger the size is. The broken piece at the impact point is of long triangle type and the two long planes of the triangle shows semi-arc with the center of breakdown point and the other plane shows opposite pattern. Third, when glass that is damaged by outer power is heated, damaged forms and side patterns of the glass that is damaged by outer power are heated and disappeared.
The combustion reaction of polypropylene was investigated using a thermogravimetric technique under an air atmosphere condition at several heating rates from 10 to 50℃/min. To obtain information on the kinetic parameters, the dynamic thermogravimetric analysis curve and its derivative were analyzed by a variety of analytical methods such as Kissinger, Friedman, Freeman-Carroll, Chatterjee-Conrad, Ozawa and Coats-Redfern methods. The comparative works for the kinetic results obtained from various methods should be performed to determine the kinetic parameters, because there are tremendous differences in the calculated kinetic parameters depending upon the mathematical method taken in the analysis.
The effect of Al(OH)3 on physical, thermal, and retardant property of rubber was studied. It was analyzed by statistical experimental design method with one way array to confirm the effect of factors. According to the Korea Agency for Technology and Standards under the Commerce Ministry, OLED device's lifetime is defined 50% drop of luminance. OLED device is self-emitting operating device, that means it becomes different color between pixels under using environment. That's reason of the different luminance drop ratio & chromaticity coordinates shift ratio with time. The problem is there is not recovered after luminance drop and color shift. We can recognize the difference of color as image sticking. First we studied when human recognize the difference of color and second we apply the method of OLED device's lifetime test that's able to check different color between pixels.
It compared subcontractor with contractor that are wages, the labor hour and labor condition of the work environment back are inferior relative. The subcontractor which basically the contract workers evade the dangerous process or the difficult work, the dirty work back what is called 3D the case which does to keep a business is many. so With life it will be threatened consequent health directly. The possibility where the subcontractor will be exposed to danger work came to be high. Consequently it prevents the subcontract which danger work is insensitive from this research and immediacy of the subcontract workers who is weak hygiene circumstance complement the plan it will be able to secure the immediacy safety&health subcontract workers, substantially to prepare in the hazard subcontract proprietor. Thus, this paper aims at presenting countermeasures to substantially secure safety and health of subcontractors by preventing ill-advised subcontracting of harmful and hazardous operations and imposing partial occupational safety and health responsibility to employers to enhance safety and health environment of subcontractors.
