These days, there are many companies who are concerned with "Safety Management System"", which enables them to not only evaluate their safety but also control and prevent the risk of accidents. As plenty of institutes are developing and providing it for companies in addition to testing its operation, such companies take that system into account in a very positive way. This paper makes it possible for our company to introduce an appropriate program into its workplace by comparing and analyzing such Safety Management Evaluation Systems.uation Systems.
Gas accidents are increasing every year, whereas the amount of using gas has been sharply increased due to conveniences, low-pollution, thermal efficiency of the gas. Gas accident has been recognizing serious social unstable elements as well as incredible economic damages of casualties of men and properties. For the prevention of the accidents, basic pre-countermeasure must be arranged to reduce gas accidents. The purpose of this study is to find out the strength of preliminary preventable functions against gas accidents throughout reformation of laws and regulations for insurance related in gas laws.
This article is concerned with various aspects of establishing the global standard for occupational safety and health management system (OHSMS). The notion, main features, and brief history of the OHSMS are presented. The OHSAS 18000, its assets and liabilities, are reviewed as a prototype of the global standard. It is also addressed the possibility of combining ISO 9000(quality management system), 14000(environmental management system) and the OHSMS into the integrated management system (IMS) as a whole. The concepts of internal and external customers are presented to explain why the environment, safety and health should be incorporated into the notion of total quality 'Participation of the members' and 'standardization of the 4Ms (Man, Machine, Materials and Method)'are emphasized as the major enablers of the IMS. Finally, the industrial, academic and governmental roles are discussed for developing the IMS and setting it down into the Korean industries.
Korea gas industrial because of received LNG in 1987 was converted by the Gas Safety Management System in relation to city gas, LPG and LNG. Gas accident were caused by treatment problem on the supplier and user, on technical and use management mater, on facilities and goods, and included problem with gas safety connection system. This study is present standard application plan of each department to use planning gas technical standard and gas utilization standard of introduction model than statute for change of self-regulation management system and complicated regulation of examination center and order.
Comparing the rate of accident in 1999 with 1998, that has been increased about 0.06%. The 56 percentage of industrial accident had been occurred by new employer, who has been worked less than 1 year, in 1999, therefore safety training and education is required for those new employer. This study is present the analysis and investigation of safety training and educational situation and consider a counterplan.
Safety management cost, US one thousand billion has been input to the construction area from 1995 to 2000 but the management quality is still in the developing country level. The above mentioned increase of accident rate are attributed to the generous code regulation, net fit to the sense, varying with time change, but the more fundamental reason of this is no practical construction safety management system, up to now. Hardware-orienting operation for the system could be a main reason of this problem. In this paper, we developed a model for efficent construction safety system. It was found from the case study that the model result in high efficient with low cost.
The purpose of this paper is to supply the principal methods for the safety in the press industrial accident preventions and the basic analyzing theory in the press industrial accidents. It was reached the press machine installed companys and was analyzed the accident characteristics, types, the worker's working period and the distributed worker's age of the happened the press machine industrial accidents. The direct reasons are almost reasons of the press industrial accidents. But it should be not ignore the indirect reasons of the accidents In this study, it was presented that the safety devices is selected by the amalyzed reasons in the press industrial accidents for the principal accident prevention.
This study concerns with the accident characteristics and prevention in small manufacturing industries of chemical products. To investigate the accident characteristics, we used workers' compensation reports and employers' accident analysis reports. One hundred and seven injury accidents which results in more than 4 days absence were surveyed from the manufacturing companies with under 100 employees. These data were used to investigate the accident characteristics in terms of company size, injured person's age, work experience, accident time, activity at time of accident, accident type, injury type, injured body Part, and accident agency We propose the accident prevention policy based on the accident characteristics. These results can be used to develop more effective occupational safety management policies in small manufacturing industries of chemical products.
Today, facilities are composed of many complex components or parts. Because of this characteristics, the frequency of failures is decreasing, but the strength of failures is increasing; therefore, the failure analysis about many complex components or parts was needed. In the former research about Fault Tree Analysis, failure data of similar facilities have been used for forecasting about target system or components, but in case that the system or components for forecasting failure is new or qualitative and quantitative data are given simultaneously, there are many difficulty in using Fault Tree Analysis with this incorrect failure data. Therefore, this paper deal with the Fault Tree Analysis method which be applied with Fuzzy theory in above case. In case that , therefore, if there is no the correct failure data, it is represented a system or components as qualitative variable. subsequently, it converted to the quantitative value using fuzzy theory, and the values used as the value for failure forecast.
Reliability calculation of a system is frequently required in industrial, military, and everyday life situations. For such a calculation, it is necessary to specify the configuration of components and subsystems, the failure mode of each component, and the states in which the system is classified as failed. In this paper, we are primary interested in the time to the first failure of a system. And we discuss failure probability of coherent system under various condition, especially focus on probability calculation of subsystem failure before system failure used by Bayes formula. Problem statement and general applications illustrated by several examples.
This article deals with the multiple alternative proposal of Strategy. when Decision makers meet a very complex and important problems to take a good choice. It might not be easy that we make a decision and accept the decision as an exact result of analysis at a complication and uncertain situation. Although the decision under unpredictable state is many existence and each field is classified to support it. he can not provide exact estimations and be able to specify a result and forecasting. This is the reason why the original research use Statistical Survey method and Visual Decision Making Process(VDMP) to improve decision analysis method. Therefore, Our research suggests that the VDMP utilized in the strategic decision making situation as a group decision adding tool, can be applied in the development of a process vision and implementation plan. as a result, researcher describe step by step the process of VDMP.
This paper deals with Activity Analysis Method that is important procedure in Activity Based Costing System Implementation. There are many existing Activity Analysis Method, for example Interview, Questionnaire, Specialist Discussion and Work Measurement. Activity Analysis Data gained through this method has high reliability but this method bring about high cost. In case that certain company needs a strategic costing system, Activity Analysis Method which has high reliability will be need. But, if companies want the costing system as a internal decision making tool only, they need to design the ABC system fast and cheaply. This paper explains that Activity Analysis using existing finn material is good alternatives. So, this paper show the feasibility of Activity Analysis using existing firm material with comparing between job description, job specification information and Activity Analysis information.
In this study, an overall survey of ERP system and methodology are first introduced, then an efficient way of const겨cting ERP system is suggested through a case study on S company S company has not reached the goal of ERP system as it planned and is still working on the project. The main idea for the efficient construction methodology of ERP system is that BPR (Business Process Reengineering) should be accomplished and the company should have enough time to test the ERP package and a proper ERP team organization before the ERP system is introduced. It is suggested that introduction of ERP system bring about benefits to companies in terms of effective management system.
This paper deals with a newly developed direction indicator system of a car which displays left turn and U-turn signal differently, so that the following driver can identify the intent of the next car ahead easily. In general, when a car want to change its direction, the driver move the blinker lever below the steering wheel up or down. However, as the left turn and U-turn signal are the same, there always be the risk of rear-end collision by misinterpreting U-turn signal as left turn signal. In this paper, a new direction indicator system which differentiates left turn and U-turn signal is developed. The left turn signal is the same as before, but when a driver want to U-turn, an additional U-turn signal blinks at the rear of the car. By identifying the direction signals clearly, the developed system is expected to alleviate the risk of car accident.
