As domestic buildings have been large-scaled, diversified and high-rise, there have been a consistent demand for design, development of construction technology and accident prevention activity as well as quality enhancement. In spite of governmental and related institutions' efforts for reducing national losses which come from numerous accidents, there have been endless small and large accidents on the construction site and thus, it is urgent to conduct empirical researches in this area. Currently safety supervision system in construction industry has enforced harm and danger prevention planning system, however it merely stick to other existing materials. In addition, it is difficult to put it into practice in that it requires bearing too much burden to draw out the planning itself in a case of large construction work. Consequently in this paper we select evaluation criteria by construction progress, classify into several categories, and regard potential danger which often occurs, as a evaluation criterion. Further step is to allow workers or collaborated companies to express their expert opinions or experiences and to encourage quality and process control and autonomous safety control by applying PSM method. The reason why PSM method should be quantitative and substantial progress is because it contributes Korean constructing companies to enhancing their safety control ability and to taking an equal stance just like developed countries,' thereby strengthening there competitive edges. Boost of safety control system by PSM method will make an enormous contribution to preventing construction accidents on the site by establishing and securing an autonomous safety control system.
The quantitative evaluation method of the safety management cost was suggested to prevent a gas accident as a major industrial accident. In a gas governor station, process risk assessments such as the fault tree analysis(FTA) and the consequence analysis were performed. Based on process risk assessments, potential accident costs were estimated and the cost-benefit analysis(CBA) was performed. From the cost-benefit analysis for five classification items of safety management cost, the order of the cost/benefit ratio was estimated.
Recently, both management and labor are interested in the increasing ratio of musculoskeletal disorders. And the developed countries make efforts to consider a counterplan such as prevention activity of musculoskeletal disorders and application possibility of ergonomic program, because musculoskeletal disorders take large portion out of occupational disease. Especially, small and medium enterprises have bigger problems due to the inferior work condition and environment in comparison with big businesses. This study is to introduce developed countries' cases such as WISE(Work Improvement in Small Enterprises) and OSHA Handbook for Small Businesses and to suggest the program of ergonomic management for small and medium enterprises having comparative difficulties against big businesses in improving work environment and managing ergonomic operations.
In the real environment, it is very limited for the trainees to participate the effective training using actual training equipments by themselves and also to simulate several hazard situations for safety because of the direct exposure to the hazards of the actual system. But the virtual environment(VE) can help the trainees to get the effective training participating by themselves and to simulate all kind of possible situation without the exposure to the hazards of the actual system. In this paper, the new idea is proposed for developing the virtual driving system to provide a realistic driving experience for safety driving. The proposed idea contains the contents of a virtual driving system.
As the life standard has enhanced, food products has incomparably advanced both in quality and variety to meet the consumer's choice. Despite of high quality and variety, appropriate food safety system has not been established yet in food manufacturing. With Product Liability issuance effective on July 2002, consumers are demanding far higher food safety level than what it used to be. The food manufacturers are seeking food safety assurance system. HACCP system is a pivotal product safety system providing the infrastructure to PL. By the time in the early 1970 when HACCP was developed suitable for food, it comprised the category of Risk, in fact it was quantitative sequence system. In a preparatory phase of HACCP, decision mostly depends on the quantitative analysis. In a recent study, the introduction of Risk Analysis is being reviewed for Food Safety system. In this study, FTA, FMEA are also reviewed in comparison with HACCP which have been utilized in Safety Engineering.
Accident analyses are used to identify common factors contributing to occupational accidents and to give recommendations for accident prevention. This study concerns with the accident characteristics and prevention in the telecommunication service industry. To investigate the accident characteristics, we used workers' compensation reports and employers' accident analysis reports. Three hundred and forty-five injury accidents which results in more than 4 days absence were surveyed. These data were used to investigate the accident characteristics in terms of company size, injured person's age, work experience, accident time, activity at time of accident, accident type, injured body part, and accident agency. We propose the accident prevention policy based on the accident characteristics. These results can be used to develop more effective occupational safety management policies in the telecommunication service industries.
The supply chain not only includes the manufacturer and suppliers, but also transporters, warehouses, retailers, and customers themselves. Within each organization, such as manufacturer, the supply chain includes all functions involved in filling a customer request. these functions include, but are not limited to, new product development, marketing, operation, distribution, finance, and customer service. Lean Supply chain coordination improves if all supplier of chain take actions that together increase total supply chain profits. To design of Modularity by the grouping supplier, the proposed method is to develop the most appropriate production system models in the Supply Chain Management which is necessity of the times and its importance. The objects of this study is development of model and cost analysis to the modular production system in Lean SCM. Introduction of modular production system in Lean SCM is effective in reducing the cost in processing, manufacturing, inventory holding, ordering, etc.

This study deals with the application of knowledge-based engineering and a methodology for the assessment & measurement of reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety of industrial systems using fault-tree representation. A fuzzy methodology for fault-tree evaluation seems to be an alternative solution to overcome the drawbacks of the conventional approach. To improve the quality of results, the membership functions must be approximated based on heuristic considerations. Conventionally, it is not always easy to obtain a system reliability for components with different individual failure probability density functions(p.d.f.), We utilize fuzzy set theory to solve the adequacy of the conventional probability in accounting and processing of built-in uncertainties in the probabilistic data. The purpose of this study is to propose the framework of knowledge-based engineering through integrating the various sources of knowledge involved in a FTA.

Demands of customers are being changed and varied. In this result with the advantage of mass marketing and database marketing have been drawing attentions from company. To fulfill these demands of customer, they need a concept of eCRM(Web based Customer Relationship Management), and go from selling products and services, or gathering customer requests, up to the phase of solving customer's problem by real time or previous action. With the help of internet, the frequency and speed of the problem solving has improved greatly. For these purposes, we try to determine the most important and most urgent factors in eCRM: utilization by using SN Ratio Decision making, one of the Multi-criteria decision-making methods SN Ratio Decision making is widely used for determining relative magnitude per evaluation item, i. e. priority on problems and is expected to make more systematic and objective evaluations than conventional methods do. Even in the present situation where any general criterion on eCRM dose not exist, utilization of eCRM is expected to be actively continued, which will cause many problems. In this report, we provide the focus on suggesting a method of estimating and measurement of CBM(Customer Behavior Model). Through the use of internet, a new trend of business for e-CRM on B2C Web Site known as EC has emerged. The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between the customers of a shopping mall and CBM characteristics. It can be used to gain a better understanding of customers. from this we can determine trends, and so refine business toward customer's needs and target new products to particular customer groups. Result shows that there is a significant relationship between the customers pattern of shopping mall and CBM, CVM(Customer Visit Model).
Utilization rate for the restrictive gate and required time and walking distance to board are to be a measure for the gate management and passenger's convenience estimation. So, the main purpose of the gate management are maximization of utilization rate and increment of airport terminal user's convenience through the efficient gate management. This study intends to maximize the utilization rate on usable gates and minimize the passenger's working distance in terminal by concerning about layout, terminal configuration, local passenger of the airport and formulate the gate assignment problem with integer linear programming problem. Then we obtained solution using optimization software LINGO and analyzed that maximize the number of assignment flights and minimize the passenger's walking distance.
In order to investigate the effect of irradiation by 60Co-γrays as well as the e thermal treatment on the dielectric deterioration in ethylene propylene rubber, insulating material for electric cables used in atomic power plants, charging discharging current, residual built- up voltage and dielectric properties are measu discussed in this study. Variance in the characteristic of relative dielectric constant as a function of tem was observed in relatively high dose of irradiation. Since glass transition tem appeared at tens of degree Celsius below zero, the characteristic is attributed orientation polarization. Dielectric loss is generally increased, with increasing d irradiation in the characteristic of dielectric loss as a function of temperature, No d loss by thermal treatment was observed. Dielectric resistance decreases with increa of irradiation in the characteristic of charging current as a function of temperature be considered that dielectric resistance seems to be recovered by thermal treatm characteristic of discharging current as a function of time in the specimen less ir become similar to that of the unirradiated, when thermal treated. A peak is shown residual built- up voltage as a function of time, and the corresponding time of the shorten as increasing dose of irradiation. It is also observed that the corresponding the peak is lengthened by thermal treatment.
