The unsafe act and unsafe condition is induced by the fundamental cause factors of industrial accidents. In this paper, stress is classified into job, life and workplace stress. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to develop a Korean stress model focused on the unmarried workers in order to prevent fundamental industrial accidents. The results of this paper are followed. First, the oriental culture and idea in Korea is directly connected to the central axis of all life. Accordingly, concrete and systematic safety management methods should be proposed from the point of Korean culture. Finally, the industrial accident questionnaire needs an item that reports the mental and physical condition of workers in order to prevent occupational diseases.

The users who use the wheelchair are confined to a wheelchair for a long time. Accordingly, the use of seat cushion for pressure distribution is very important in order to prevent a bedsore. Therefore, this paper provides useful information for design of seat cushion through statistical testing among nothing cushion, low cell type of air cushion, high cell type of air cushion, and jelly type of air cushion. It turned out that the jelly type and high cell type of air cushion have a serious effect on decision and design of seat cushion.

It is very important to evaluate the priority of prevention factors and strategies in order to minimize industrial accident. It provides decisive information for accident prevention and safety management. Therefore, this paper proposes evaluation method of the priority through statistic testing with prevention factors and strategies by the cause analysis of cause and effect models. Especially, this paper uses priority matrix criterion to justify application of rank and objectivity. This paper is based on the results of a questionnaire of workers and managers who are engaged by real manufacturing and construction industries with less than 300 workers in the central region of Korea, where most of the fatal accidents have happened. Finally, the result provides one way to implement safety management for industrial accident prevention.

Currently, there are two major problems in professional engineer(PE) licensure system in Korea to be accredited internationally. One is a incompleteness of system connecting the licensure and the accredited engineering education program and the other one is a insufficient working experience condition required for achieving PE license. Therefore, these two problems are setbacks hindering Korea's PE license accredited internationally. In this study, international tendency stream on mutual accreditation of PE license are reviewed first, and the PE licensure system of the major countries are compared and analyzed. Based on the results, requirements improvement plan are suggested and the gradual implementation method are suggested also.

By the effect of globalism and information the workplace environment is complicated and diversified little by little. The job stress due to the life style, the idea and culture, and the automated facility system etc. is to a tendency which compared to increase more. It will not be able to prevent a industrial accident basically because the oriental and western life style is different. Therefore this paper presents the Korean life change unit model through statistical testing in order to minimize industrial accident with the proposed life change unit factors on the workers living In the middle area. Finally, the analytical result of this paper can be easily used in order to minimize the industrial accidents by the job stress with the worker and the occupational safety & health manager in real fields.

The oriental life change unit(LCU) models differ from the western LCU model in human behavior, life style, ideas, culture, and psychology factors. Especially, the cause and effect models by behavior scientific approach method have provided the accident proneness concept through the LCU factors. Therefore this paper describes the analytical results of the oriental LCU model and western LCU model. Especially, the death of parents and death of close friend in Korean LCU model feel more acute stress than the western factors. In the case of Korean LCU models between the unmarried and married workers living in the middle area of Korea, death of parents, change in family member's health, change to different line of work, and change in work hours and condition are significant at the significance level of 5%. The priority of life change factors in these models is approved in the order of death of parents, death of spouse, death of close family member, and death of close friend. Finally, the result of this paper can be easily used in order to minimize the industrial accidents by the job stress with the worker and safety manager in real fields.

The goal of this study is to investigate the ergonomic factors in designing or selecting the hand tool handle. Electromyogram (EMG) were measured for various wrist postures and handle sizes under two loading conditions. Anthropometric data were measured and the correlation with EMG measurement data were analyzed. Investigations of this study show that wrist posture should be neutral for minimum muscle tension and optimum handle size can be found by measuring the EMG measurement data. It show that hand width and EMG measurement data is greatly correlated also. This study can be a guide of designing or selecting a hand tool, but further study with large sample sizes and various groups is needed for making general conclusion.

The purpose of this study is to execute the investigation of injurious factors causing muscle-skeletal diseases at an automotive glass manufacturing company and, on the basis of the results, to enhance productivity by the improvement of working environment. By using an survey and an ergonomic evaluation method, symptoms of muscle-skeletal diseases of workers and working postures at each process were analyzed, and quantitative evaluation of muscle-skeletal disease risk against each process was performed. Based on the result of the evaluation, to enhance the working environment, improvement of worktable, working space, tools, and outfit was suggested, and induction of mechanical system was also suggested. Suggested improvement plan was applied to the workplace step by step and it is confirmed that improvement plan not only removes the injurious factors of muscle-skeletal diseases but also is effective to enhance productivity.

The purpose of this study is to find injurious factors and to propose an improvement plan on workers' musculoskeletal disorders at a bakery workplace through analyzing the symptom, work posture and quantitative estimate. For this study, a survey and ergonomic estimate methods were adopted. According to the survey, it was analyzed that 429 workers corresponding to 68.2% of the response have been experienced the symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders such as an ache, prickle and numbness. The result of QEC analysis shows that shoulder and waist are highly exposed to musculoskeletal disease. The result of RULA analysis shows that injurious factors of muscle, weight and repeated operations are a little higher than those of operation posture. The result of SI estimate shows that pre-treatment of making bread requiring highly repeated operation gets the highest point of 81, on the other hand, chocolate-coating job requiring relatively low speed and short time gets the point of 4.5. And the developed countries make efforts to consider a counterplan such as prevention activity of musculoskeletal disorders and application possibility of ergonomic program, because musculoskeletal disorders take large portion out of occupational disease. Especially, small and medium enterprises have bigger problems due to the inferior work condition and environment in comparison with big businesses. This study is to introduce developed countries' cases such as WISE(Work Improvement in Small Enterprises) and OSHA Handbook for Small Businesses and to suggest the program of ergonomic management for small and medium enterprises having comparative difficulties against big businesses in improving work environment and managing ergonomic operations.

우리나라의 산업안전 ·보건 수준은 ＇81년 산업안전보건법이 제정됨으로써 획기적으로 발전하여, 80년대부터 산업재해 발생율이 감소추세를 보여왔다. 정부정책 측면에서 보면, '80년 이전까지는 주로 사후 보상문제에 치중하였고 산업안전보건법이 제정된 이후부터 본격적인 재해예방 정책이 수립 ·추진되기 시작하였다. 그러나, 이러한 변화 속에서 사업장 안전 ·보건관리 체계는 규제완화에 따른 안전보건관리체계 약화, 안전보건관리체계의 중복, 법집행의 실효성 미약, 공공-민간의 효율적인 역할 수행체계 미흡, 근로자의 참여부족 등 많은 문제점들을 안고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 미국, 영국, 독일, 일본 등 우리보다 앞서있는 선진국의 산업안전보건체계를 재해통계제도, 안전보건 관련법, 재해예방기관의 활동 등의 측면에서 살펴보고 우리나라의 관리체계와 비교하여 개선 및 발전 방향을 모색하고자 하였다.

MMH(Manual Material Handling)와 관련되어 최근 요통질환으로 인한 요양신청이 크게 증가하는 추세에 있다. 본 연구에서는 Lifting 작업시 적용되는 중요 요소들 중 수평거리가 변함에 따른 IEMG 값을 이용하여 EMG 변화를 살펴보았다. 좌ㆍ우 EMG 값간에는 유의한 차이가 없었으며, 수평거리 35cm와 55cm간에는 유의한 차이를 보였다. 이는 수평거리가 길어질 경우 척추기립근의 동원량이 증가한다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 요추부의 부담도를 줄이기 위해 수평거리를 줄이는 것이 요통예방을 위해 무엇보다 중요한 것이라 하겠다. 인체측정치와 EMG 값 사이의 상관관계에서는 35cm일 때 키, 가슴둘레, 허리둘레 등이, 55cm일 때 체중, 몸통너비, 허리두께, 손바닥폭 등이 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다.
