This study aimed to suggest a suitable collar pattern by visually evaluating the appearance of the amount of collar drape by the starting position of the lapel line of a double-breasted tailored jacket using a 3d virtual fitting program. It created an avatar based on the mean size of women in their 20s (the 8th Size Korea) using clo network (double fastening: 10cm, collar width: 4.5cm, collar stand: 3cm, and lapel width: 8.5cm). The starting of the lapel twist line was waistline level, the 1/2 level of bustline and waistline, or bustline level, and collar laying amount was 4.5, 5.5, 6.5, or 7.5cm. It was evaluated by garment construction experts using 5, 6, and 4 items on the front, sides, and back, respectively. Descriptive statistics, F-test, Duncantest, and reliability analysis were conducted using SPSS 22. When collar laying amount was 6.5cm, it was best rated regardless of the starting point. Under waist line, when collar laying amount was 6.5cm, it was best rated regardless of the starting point. When collar laying amount was large, the collar’s outline length increased, resulting in unnecessary wrinkles from the neckline to the lapel, affecting the overall collar appearance. When collar laying amount was the smallest, the collar was lifted and the width was narrowed, exposing the seam connecting the collar and neckline. The length of the collar’s outline varied depending on collar laying amount, which was important to make the outline sit comfortably on the body.

This study aims to help understanding on design of basic pattern of shirt collars and to suggest schemes to raise completeness of shape by reviewing problems shown in finished products after sewing. From March 2009 to August 2009, 12 patterns for education and firms were collected centering on basic shirt collar form respectively. There are four problems generally raised from a completed shirt collar. In case of overlapping shirt collar on front neck point, the sewing point of shirt collar should be drawn at front neck point of collar band at a distance of about 0.2~0.3cm, and the center front of band and one of bodice should be arranged in a straight line. In case of the problem about right and left length difference of shirt collar, it is raised by closing so the problem was solved by prolonging about 0.2 cm of the center front of left collar. It was evaluated that adjusting notch point when sewing would be more rational solution than solving something on patterns for distance difference problem of shirt collar between right and left part at center front. And a problem about getting loose of front garment between collar band below and the first button was also raised. It was designed 0.2cm cut of collar band. Around basic shirt collar form, above mentioned solutions are applied to the patterns for education and manufacture experimental clothing. So as a result of sensory evaluation, generally good ratings on all items were received.
In this research, the submersible fish cage was designed to avoid structural and biological damage during harsh sea conditions. The submersible cage system consists of netting, mooring ropes, a floating collar, floats, sinkers and anchors. Whole elements of the cage were modeled on the mass-spring model. The computer simulations were carried out to investigate the dynamic behavior of the cage and to calculate mooring line tension subjected to tidal currents and waves. As expected, the tension values in the mooring line of the submerged position are 36% less compared to that of the surface cage under the same loading conditions. As the wave was used in combination with the current velocity of 1m/s, the average tensile load for the submerged cage showed 85% of the value for the floating cage. The simulation results provide an improved understanding of the behaviors of the structure and valuable information on the optimized design of the cage system exposed to open ocean environmental factors.
This study was carried out to analyze any possible changes in the heart rate variability(HRV) of white-collar workers of a manufacturing firm based in Chollabuk-do Province when they are stressed due to their daily job performance and thereby to help them seek a more effective method of the management of their health and help them form more desirable habits of living by finding out how seriously his or her stresses from his or her job performance affect their quality of life(QOL). As a process of the above-mentioned manufacturer's plan to do an Oriental health examination on its white-collar workers, each of the workers of the firm was given a copy of questionaires. The questionaires carried questions regarding each of the workers' general characteristics, clinical history, health-related lifestyle and the QOL and each of the workers was asked to provide his answers to the questions listed on the questionaire. The examination progressed to measure any possible changes in the HRV of an individual worker. Among all of the questionaires filled out and collected from the workers, a total of 423 data were used as the data of the research except those that had answers which were not appropriate for the purpose of the research. The analysis of each of the workers' health related quality of life(HRQOL) showed that the younger, the lower the standard of education is, each of the subjects was found to tend to show a relatively higher QOL if only he is healthy. With regard to the worker's habits of living, those who exercise on a regular basis and who get a good sleep were also found to have a comparatively higher QOL With reference to the HRV, young workers, those who have spouses, those with a high level of academic background, those with a short work experience were found to tend to have a relatively higher HRV. As regards each worker's habits of living, those who do exercise on a regular basis were found to have a comparatively higher index of HRV. RMSSD was found to have an impact on workers' general health, on the other hand TP was found to have an impact on workers' role of emotion. This result was based on findings through analyzing interrelation between HRV and QOL that stresses have an impact on the QOL. Taking a look at the above results, it was learned that individual worker's efforts to promote his or her health, along with establish desirable habits of living, these two qualities are important methods to improve the quality of life. In addition, control of stresses is necessary to improve the QOL, which is possible through emotional stabilization.
In order to improve the net-mouth height of dragged gears, the authors devised models of floatingcollars of nylon cloth instead of floats and experimented with 4 types-A type (length 65em, breadth 3em), B type (length 65em, breadth 4em), C type (length 65em, breadth 5em) and D type (length 65 em, breadth 6em) attached respectively to the front edge of square of a model net after preliminary experimentation. These various types of floating collars were experimented in a circulating water channel to evaluate the characteristics of net-mouth height and hydrodynamic resistance and the effect of the length of bridles were also examined. The results obtained were as follows: 1. In case of attaching floats, the model net-mouth height reduced from 80 em to 20 em when current velocity was increased from 0.25m/see to 1m/sec. 2. In case of attaching floating collars, the model net-mouth heights were maintained 70 em, 71 em, 80 em, 78 em in maximum and 55 em, 63 em, 69 em, 73 em in minimum respectively even the current volocity was increased from 0.25 m/see to 1 m/see. 3. The model net-mouth height was reduced to 10 em maximum according to the current velocity and types of floating collars when the bridles were shortened 3~4 mm in length. 4. Hydrodynamic resistance of D type only was increased to 700 g in maximum and those of A, B, C type were reduced to 460 g in maximum at current velocity beyond 0.5 m/ see when bridles were shortened 3-4 mm in length. 5. But the model net-mouth heights became higher in accordance with breadth of floating coliars, B type was the best for this model net in case that hydrodynamic resistance was taken into account.
