Purpose: This study aimed to develop a web-based video program related to abnormal mental disorder behaviors in standardized patients and verify its effectiveness for nursing students. Methods: This study consisted of pre-test and post-test for a non-equivalent control group design. The participants were 46 nursing students(experimental group: 23, control group: 23). The experimental group was trained in a video program that applied standardized patients, while the control group received traditional training. Data collected from March to June, 2020, were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows, version 25.0, chi-square test, Fisher's exact test, Mann-Whitney U test, and independent t-test. Results: The difference between the experimental and control groups was statistically significant in terms of learning satisfaction (Z=2.08, p=.038), learning self-efficacy(t=2.80, p=.009), motivation for transfer(t=3.45, p=.001), and clinical reasoning competence(t=2.28, p=.028). Conclusion: This study showed that a video program on abnormal mental disorder behaviors in standardized patients is an effective tool for mental health nursing education.
The evaluation of mental workload is measured by subjective ratings, physiological signals. It takes long time to analysis the measured signals and is very tedious and time-consumming work. Therefore, to evaluate the affect of workload effectively, real-time measurement system is required. In this paper, real-time mental workload measurement system using cardiac autonomic indiced which reflect well the mental workload was developed and evaluated. Analyzed indices were HR, IBI, Lorentz plot, CSI, CVI, and LF/HF ratio of heart rate variability. The system was applied to evaluate the affect of arithmetic task and showed good results. This system was consisted of ECG amplifier, A/D converter, and personal computer, and algorithm was implemented using LabVIEW.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to reveal the formation process by depth approaches to mental toughness of elite Ssirum players. For this purpose, we used grounded theory approach that was widely used qualitative analysis. Methods: We selected elite Ssirum players as participants who had champion title by association of professionals that was composed of Ssirum experts and sports psychologists. To gather material for formation process of mental toughness, we used in-depth interview, non-participant observation and leaders interview, and by triangulation, confirmation of participants and consultation of experts, we had enough validity. All of data were analyzed for interactions of cause and effect, context relationship, mediation qualification and interactive strategy. Results: The process mental toughness of elite Ssirum players was divided into 4 stages : creating champion goals by positive expectation, social support by parents and leaders, constant effort with positive feedback by leaders, development of personal mental toughness by individual experience. Conclusion: These results might provide information to develop new related theories by revealing the formation factors of mental toughness, which might improve the Ssirum leaders and young players' performance.
The purpose of this study is to examine effect of horticultural therapy on mental development and interpersonal relationship of institutionalized children. This study executed horticultural therapy program of the total 16 times by one time a week to institutionalized children who have used H-Institution for children in Kyungsang Buk-do from September 21, 2006 to January 4, 2007. To examine effect of horticultural therapy, this study used the korean personality rating scale for children(KPRC), withdrawn scale, self-concept scale, and interpersonal relationship scale, and investigated before and after executing the program for comparison. Mental development was reduced from 90.87 before executing to 72.25 after executing horticultural therapy, and it was statistically significant(P<0.01). Also in withdrawn scale test, the mean point was appeared to be significantly raised(P<0.05) from 8.875 before executing to 6.25 after executing the program, and horticultural therapy was considered to be effective to mental stability of institutionalized children. In result of evaluating self-concept, it was raised from 207.37 before executing to 228.5 after executing, and it showed the significant difference(P<0.01). Also in result of evaluating interpersonal relationship, it was raised from 73.25 before executing to 83.75 after executing, and it showed the significant difference(P<0.05). Accordingly, horticultural therapy is considered to be effective to mental development and interpersonal relationship of institutionalized children.
본 연구는 한국 투기종목 선수들의 정신력 개념을 탐색하고, 정신력을 측정할 수 있는 한국형 정신력 측정 도구를 개발하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 1에서 정신력 개념에 대한 구조를 알아보기 위해 495명의 설문조사와 5명의 인터뷰를 실시한 결과 투기종목 선수들의 정신력은 인내력, 승부욕, 불굴의 투지, 한계상황 극복, 분투노력 등 다차원으로 구성되었다는 결론을 얻었다. 연구 2에서 정신력의 측정도구를 개발하기 위해 486명을 조사하여 정신력의 각 요인별 신뢰도와 타당도(수렴 타당도/변별 타당도), 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과 4개의 하위요인(승부욕, 분투노력, 인내/끈기, 불굴의 투지)으로 나타났으며 총 20문항으로 구성되었다. 요인구조 적합성을 검증한 결과 적합도 지수 값들이 적합한 것을 나타났다
