        The decommissioning of the Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) is a long-term project of more than 15 years and will be carried out as a project, which will require project management skills accordingly. The risk of decommissioning project is a combination of many factors such as the decommissioning plan, the matters licensed by the regulatory agency, the design and implementation of dismantling, the dismantling plan and organization, and stakeholders. There will be some difficulties in risk management because key assumptions about many factors and the contents of major risks should be well considered. Risk management typically performs a series of processes ranging from identification and analysis to evaluation. In order to analyze and evaluate risks here, identification of potential risks is the first step, and in order to reasonably select potential risks, various factors mentioned should be considered. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify possible risks that should be considered for the decommissioning project in various aspects. The risk of the decommissioning project can be defined using the hazard keyword, and the risk family presented in the IAEA safety series can also be referred. It would be better to approach the radiological or non-radiological risks that may occur in the dismantling work with the hazard keyword, and if the characteristics of the decommissioning project are reflected, it would be a good idea to approach it on a risk family basis. There are 10 top risks in the risk family, 25 risks at the level 2 and 61 risks at the level 3 are presented. It may be complex to consider these hazards and risks recommended as risk families at the same time, so using the results of safety evaluation as input data for risk identification can be a reasonable approach. Therefore, this study intended to derive the possible risks of the decommissioning project based on the risk family structure. At this point, the reflection of the safety assessment results was intended to be materialized by considering the hazards checklist. As a result, this study defined and example of 38 possible risks for the decommissioning project, considering the 10 top risk family and lower level risk categories. This result is not finalized, and it will be necessary to further strengthened through expert workshops or HAZOP in the future.

        It is essential to determine a proper earthquake time history as a seismic load in a seismic design for a critical structure. In the code, a seismic load should satisfy a design response spectrum and include the characteristic of a target fault. The characteristic of a fault can be represented by a definition of a type of possible earthquake time history shape that occurred in a target fault. In this paper, the pseudo-basis function is proposed to be used to construct a specific type of earthquake, including the characteristic of a target fault. The pseudo-basis function is derived from analyzing the earthquake time history of specific fault harmonic wavelet transform. To show the feasibility of this method, the proposed method was applied to the faults causing the Gyeong-Ju ML5.8 and Pohang ML5.3 earthquakes.

        중국의 현당대 문학사 안에서 1920년대 초의 신문학론과 작품창작은 대체로 이론 발생 후 이론과 어울리는 작품들이 다수 창작되는 것으로 서술되었다. 그러나 실제로 이에 관한 동시 기적 진술 중에 이와는 다른 맥락의 서술이 존재한다. 이는 중국의 신문학-오사문학-현대문 학으로 이어지는 개념의 발생 당시부터 현재까지 인위적이면서도 강제적인 개념화 작업이 이루어짐에 따라 예외적 진술을 삭제한 결과일 수 있다. 동시에 ‘새로운’ 문학으로의 질적인 변화를 철저하게 추구하는 혁명으로서의 이론과는 충돌하는, 신문학론 자체에 내재 된 중도개 량적 특성이 이론을 구체적으로 응용한 높은 수준의 작품을 창작하는 데 있어 장애로 작용할 가능성이 있다. 이에 본고는 루융헝의 『중국 신문학 개론』에서 보이는 ‘신문학 위기론’을 통해 실제 동시기에도 이에 관한 문제의식이 존재했었음을 서술하였다.

        Over the last few decades, the atmospheric carbon dioxide emission has been amplified to a great extent in Turkey. This amplification may cause global warming, climate change and environmental degradation in Turkey. Consequently, ecological condition and human life may suffer in the near future from these indicated threats. Therefore, an attempt was made to test the relationship among a number of expected factors and carbon dioxide emissions in the case of Turkey. The study covers the time series data over the period of 1970–2017. We employed the modern econometric techniques such as Johansen co-integration, ARDL bound testing approach and the block exogeneity. The results of the Johansen co-integration test show that there is a significant long-run relationship between carbon dioxide emissions and expected factors. The long-run elasticities of the ARDL model show that a 1% increase in the GDP per capita, electric consumption, fiscal development and trade openness will increase carbon dioxide emissions by 0.14, 0.52, 0.09 and 0.20% respectively. Further, our findings reveal that the environmental Kuznets curve (EKC) hypothesis and inverted U-shaped relationship between carbon dioxide emission and economic growth prevails. Therefore, the EKC hypothesis is valid and prevailing in the Turkish economy. The diagnostic test results show that the parameters of the ARDL model are credible, sTable and reliable in the current form. Finally, Block exogeneity analysis displays that all the expected factors are contributing significantly to carbon dioxide emissions in the Turkish economy.

        This study was conducted to examine the influences of two human chorion gonadotrophins (hCGs) being injected into young or aged (45- to 65-week old) outbred (ICR) mice on developmental capacity of oocytes retrieved. In vitro-culture and parthenogenetic activation of oocytes retrieved were employed for the assessment. Superovulation was determined as being induced when more than 25 oocytes were retrieved. No aged mice were superovulated, while in contrast, 67-100% were superovulated in the 6- to 8-week-old (young) mice. In the aged, hCG injection yielded better retrieval (5 vs. 13 to 14.8 oocytes/mouse). Overall, no significant difference between two hCGs was detected but between the young and aged, significant differences in maturational arrest (0% vs. 39% MI arrest and 46% vs. 15% degeneration) and developmental capacity (24% vs. 46% 8-cell embryo development) were detected. In conclusion, hCG injection contributes to increasing oocyte retrieval from aged outbred mice, but the kinds of gonadotrophin influenced the efficiency of hyperstimulation induction in specific ages.

        The Air-shiter is a new product possible ventilation at the same time cooling or heating with combined refrigerator and heat recovery ventilator. And a key device of this system is the air shifter. The air shifter device is to convert the outdoor air, room air, supply air and exhaust air flow. Therefore, an experimental study has been carried out to investigate the operating performance for this system. The results, it is possible to ventilate at the same time of heating by outside air above 30℃ in summer. and of heating by outside air within 3℃ in winter. The indoor discharge temperature is over 40℃, and the coefficient of performance is 3.4 in winter.

        An air cleaning unit(ACU) in a nuclear power plant plays a role on cooling the safety-related components whose function is involved in the reactor shutdown, and maintains the suitable temperature and humidity for work in the rooms where an operator is working on. To guarantee the performance of the unit the design of ACU should be subject to credible codes and standards, such as ASME, ANSI and ASHRAE, etc. On top of them, the desorption of the carbon adsorber is addressed in ASME N509 which causes the adsorber no longer to capture the iodine isotopes produced by the severe accident. In this study, the equations of the heat source were derived from the radioactive decay heat of each iodine isotopes. From the resultant equation, the maximum temperature below 300oF for the desorption was calculated under a proposed condition and analysed with the reference results.

        The human β-amyloid (Aβ) cleaving enzyme (BACE-1) is a target for Alzheimer’s disease (AD) treatments. This study was conducted to determine if acacetin extracted from the whole Agastache rugosa plants had anti-BACE-1 and behavioral activities in Drosophila AD models and to determine acacetin’s mechanism of action. Acacetin (100, 300, and 500 μM) rescued amyloid precursor protein (APP)/BACE1-expressing flies and kept them from developing both eye morphology (dark deposits, ommatidial collapse and fusion, and the absence of ommatidial bristles) and behavioral (motor abnormalities) defects. The RT-PCR and Western blot analysis revealed that the protective effect of acacetin on Aβ production is mediated by transcriptional regulation of BACE-1 and APP, resulting in decreased APP protein expression and BACE-1 activity, and reduced Aβ production by interfering with BACE-1 activity and APP synthesis, resulting in a decrease in the levels of the APP carboxy terminal fragments and the APP intracellular domain, and finally, resulting in a decrease in the number of amyloid plaques.

        CO2는 기공 메커니즘에 어떤 영향을 주는가? 햇빛에 의해 유도된 기공 열림에서 독립적인 CO2의 효과를 분리해서 본다는 것은 어려운 일이기 때문에, CO2에 의한 기공 열림 메커니즘은 아직 명확하게 밝혀지지 않은 실정이다. 기공은 또한 CO2 농도에 따라 다르게 반응 할 수 있다. 기공 열림과 닫힘의 식물의 생체적인 리듬도 관여하므로, CO2의 반응에 대한 해석은 많은 요소들을 고려해야 한다. 세포간극 내강 (Ci)의 감소된 CO2에서는 기공을 열린다는 것이 일반적으로 정해진 사실이다. 기공 열림의 정도를 결정하는 것은 삼투 물질이고, CO2가 삼투 물질의 수송에 영향을 준다고 가정하는 것이 CO2가 기공 메커니즘에 영향을 주는 유일한 방법이다. 그러나 CO2가 어떻게 공변세포 내의 삼투물질 농도에 영향을 주는지 그 메커니즘은 불분명하다. 지금까지, CO2는 공변세포의 삼투퍼텐셜을 증가시키는 이온과 유기물이 어떻게 공변세포 막을 통한 수송 메커니즘이 이루어지는지는 알려진 것이 없다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 CO2에 의한 삼투물질들의 공변세포 막 투과성에 대해 초점을 두었다. 잎을 일정한 농도의 CO2에 노출할 때 CO2–관련 된 반응들이 나타난다. 빛에 의한 기공 열림의 가설은 K+, Cl-, 슈크로스 그리고 말산2-를 포함하는 공변세포 내 삼투물질 농도의 증가에 있다. CO2가 H+를 세포 밖으로 방출하는 것을 나타내는 막의 과분극 (hyperpolarization)을 유도했다는 보고가 있다. 이는 CO2가 막 투과성에 관련된 첫 번째 증거이다. 온전한 잎에서 CO2는 빛에 의해 유도된 막의 과분극 보다 3∼4 배까지 공변세포의 막 과분극을 유도했다. 이러한 결과들은 CO2가 막 투과성에 영향을 주는 인지질 이중층과 수송단백질의 물리적인 특성에 변화를 초래한다는 것을 의미한다.

        With over 7 billion people on the planet, agriculture faces immense pressure to meet global demands for food. One third of consumed food relies on insect pollination with by far, the predominate pollinator being the honey bee, Apis mellifera. Although future challenges facing agriculture will come from multiple domains, one of the immediate challenges is honey bee decline. Stress associated with transportation, pesticide exposure nutritional limitations, various diseases and pests have all been recognized as potential factors in honey bee decline. With the prospect of future global changes in climate, honey bees will also face changes in forage availability and overwintering potential. At the level of the individual colony, research has shown that honey bee health is directly correlated to genetic diversity. Increased colony diversity is associated with lower disease intensity, increased disease resistance, greater workforce productivity and thermoregulation stability. Genetic diversity at the population level serves as the raw material for selective breeding in agriculturally important plants and animals, including the honey bee. Honey bees are not native to Korea, however, and importation and founder events associated with the establishment of honey bees represent a series of genetic bottlenecks that limits the diversity of introduced honey bee populations. Fortunately, Apis mellifera consists of around 28 recognized subspecies within its native range, each with specific adaptations to climatic selective pressures endemic to its own location. Climate change is expected to be bring a high degree of uncertainty in the future to climate expression in various locations. Fortunately, the honey bee has a wide breadth of diversity contained within various subspecies and careful importation and evaluation of specific stocks may be highly useful as we enter climate uncertainty in the future. With the recognition that agro-ecosystems are highly interconnected and multifaceted, one of the greatest challenges facing agriculture is preserving and improving honey bee health.
