        We have studied the central parts of M82, which is a well-known infrared luminous, starburst galaxy, by analyzing archival data from the Infrared Space Observatory (ISO). M82 was observed at 11 positions covering ±45" from the center along the major axis. We analyzed 4 emission lines, [ArIII] 8.99 μm, H2 17.034 μm, [FeII] 25,98 μm, and [SiII] 34,815 μm from SWSO2 data. The integrated flux distributions of these lines are quite different. The H2 line shows symmetric twin peaks at ~18" from the center, which is a general characteristic of molecular lines in starburst or barred galaxies. This line appears to be associated with the rotating molecular ring at around ~200 pc just outside the inner spiral arm. The relative depletion of the H2 line at the center may be due to the active star formation activity which dissociates the H2 molecules. The other lines have peaks at the center and the distributions are nearly symmetric. The line profiles are deconvolved assuming that both intrinsic and instrumental profiles are Gaussian. The velocity dispersion outside the core is found to be ~50 km s-1. The central velocity dispersion is much higher than 50 km s-1, and different lines give different values. The large central velocity dispersion (σ) is mostly due to the rotation, but there is also evidence for a high σ for [ArIII] line. We also generated position-velocity maps for these four lines. We found very diverse features from these maps.

        국내에 소장되어 있는 한국산 푸른자나방아과와 물결자냐방亞과의 표본들을 조사한 결과 1신종 Maxates sungbokahni sp. nov. 를 기재하고, 10미기록종 Comibaena diluta (Warren), Comibaena tanerei Graeser, Comibaena subdelicata Inoue, Hemistola nemoriata (Staudinger), Hemistola cinctigutta Prout, A Anticollix sparsata (Treitschkel, Euphyia discomelaina (Wehrli), Perizoma haasi (Hedemann), Perizoma contritum (Prout), Perizoma hydratum (Treitschke)을 발표한다. 그리고 분포가 혼동되고 있던 Thalera lacerataria Graeser의 국내분포를 재확인하고, Trichoperyx inouei Hashimoto와 Epilobophora obscuraria (Leech), Xanthorhoe fluctuata malleola Inoue의 채집기록을 추가하였다.

        The characteristics of adsorption and desorption of benzene and toluene were investigated at a fixed bed packed with the activated carbon and activated carbon fiber. Through breakthrough experiments under various feed concentration conditions, it was found that the slope of mass transfer zone and the tailing in the breakthrough curves were different from the feed conditions due to different heats of adsorption. In hot nitrogen desorption, the regeneration time and mass transfer zone of the toluene desorption curve were longer than those of the benzene desorption curve because of the difference in adsorption affinity. With an increase in the regeneration temperature, the height of roll-up and the sharpness of desorption curves increased but the regeneration times decreased. The adsorption capacities of the activated carbon and activated carbon fiber after three-time thermal regenerations decreased about 25% and 37% for benzene and 18% and 25% for toluene, respectively. To investigate the effect of the regeneration temperature on the energetic efficiency, the characteristic desorption temperatures of toluene and benzene were investigated by calculating purge gas consumption and temperature.

        The pack-cementation process is the method which is formed SiC coating layer to improve weak oxidation properties of CFRCs (carbon fiber-reinforced carbons). This method develops the anti-oxidation coating layer having no dimensional changes and good wetting properties. In this study to improve the oxidative resistance of the prepared 4D CFRCs, the surface of CFRCs is coated by SiC using pack cementation method. The mechanical properties of SiC-coated 4D CFRCs are measured by the 3-point bending test, and their ablation properties are investigated by the arc torch plasma test. From the results, it is found that both mechanical and ablation properties of SiC-coated 4D CFRCs are much better than bare CFRCs.

        Na alloyed graphite intercalation compounds with stage 1 and 2 were synthesized using the high temperature and pressure technique. Thermal stability and staging transitions of the compounds were investigated depending on heating rates. The thermal stability and temperature dependence of the deintercalation compounds were characterized using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) analyzer. Enthalpy of formations were confirmed at temperatures between 25 and 500℃, depending on the various heating rates. The structure ions and interlayer spaces of the graphite were identified by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Diffractograms of stages with non-integral (00l) values were obtained in the thermal decomposition process, and stacking disorder defects and random stage modes were observed. The average value of the interlayer C-C bond lengths were found approximately 2.12a and 1.23a from the diffractions. Based on the stage transition, the degree of the deintercalaton has a inverse-linear relationship against the heating rate.

        White emission is important for applying organic EL devices to full-color flat panel display and backlight for liquid crystal display. In order to obtain white emission, the use of a light-emitting material which shows the white emission by itself is advantageous for these applications because of its high reliability and productivity. A chelate-metal complex such as zinc bis(2-(2-hydroxyphenyl) benzothiazolate) (Zn(BTZ)2 was known to emit white light with a broad electroluminescence. In this study, the electroluminescent characteristics of Be(BTZ)2 and Mg(BTZ)2, as well as Zn(BTS)2 were investigated using organic electroluminescent devices with the structure of ITO/TPD/ Be(BTZ)2, Mg(BTZ)2, or Zn(BTZ)2/Al. It was found that the device containing Be(BTZ)2 showed the highest power efficiency.

        The initial irreversible capacity, Qi, is one of the parameters to express the material balancing of the cathode to anode. We introduced new terms, which are the initial intercalation Ah efficiency (IIE) and the initial irreversible specific capacity at the surface (Qis), to express precisely the irreversibility of an electrode/electrolyte system. Two terms depended on kinds of active-materials and compositions of the electrode, but did not change with charging state. MPCF had the highest value of IIE and the lowest value of Qis in 1M LiPE6/EC + DEC (1 : 1 volume ratio) electrolyte. IIE value of LiCoO2 electrode was 97-98%, although the preparation condition of the material and the electrolyte were different. Qis value of LiCoO2 was 0~1 mAh/g. MPCF-LiCoO2 cell system had the lowest of the latent capacity. Qis value increased slightly by adding conductive material. IIE and Qis value varied with the electrolyte. By introducing PC to EC+DEC mixed solvent, IIE values were retained, but Qis increased. In case of addition of MP, IIE value increased and Qis value also increased a little.

        Carbonaceous thin films were prepared from acetylene and argon gases by plasma assisted chemical vapor deposition (Plasma CVD) at 873 K. The carbonaceous thin films were characterized by mainly Raman spectroscopy, and their electrochemical properties were studied by cyclic voltammetry and charge-discharge measurements in propylene carbonate (PC) solution. Raman spectra showed that crystallinity of carbonaceous thin films is correlated by the applied RF power. The difference of the applied RF power also affected on the results of cyclic voltammetry and charge-discharge measurements. In PC solution, intercalation and de-intercalation of lithium ion can occur as well as in the mixed solution of EC and DEC.

        강제진동을 가한 구조물의 제한된 위치에서 측정한 가속도를 사용하여 손상을 확인하고 평가하는 알고리듬을 개발하였다. 개발된 알고리듬에서는 선형적 구속-비선형 최적화에 의해 최적의 구조변수를 구하여 구조물을 인식하는 시간영역-시스템 인식기법을 사용하였다. 동적운동방정식의 오차를 최소화하도록 최적의 변수를 추정하였으며, 제한된 위치에서 측정된 가속도 자료를 이용하여 손상된 부재를 찾기 위하여 적합적 변수모음법을 적용하였다. 손상은 측정된 가속도의 시간이력에 시간창의 개념을 적용하여 통계적으로 평가하였다. 가속도가 측정된 자유도에서의 변위와 속도는 측정된 가속도를 적분하여 계산하였으며, 미측정 자유도에서는 변위를 추가의 미지변수로 추정하고, 속도와 가속도는 추정된 변위의 차분에 의해 수치적으로 계산하였다. 개발된 알고리듬의 효율성을 검증하기 위하여 트러스에 대한 수치모의실험을 실시하였다. 손상지수의 한계치를 정하고 각 부재에서의 손상가능도를 계산하기 위하여 자료교란법을 적용하였다.
