        Environmental problems caused by certain geologic conditions include pollution of soil by heavy metal, acidization of soils, acid mine drainage, ground-water pollution, and natural radioactivity, as well as geological hazards such as landslide and subsidence. The acid mine drainage contains large amount of heavy metals and, therefore, cause serious pollution onto the nearby drainage systems and soils. In spite of this prospective environmental danger, few studies have been done on the acid mine drainage derived from non-metallic ore deposits such as pyrophyllite(Napseok) deposits. The sulfide-bearing pyrophyllite ores, alteration zones, and mine tailings of pyrophyllite deposits produce acid mine drainage by the oxidation of weathering. Compared to the fresh host rocks, the ores and altered rocks of pyrophyllite deposits produce acidic solution which contain higher amount of heavy metals because of their lower buffering capacity to acid solution. The pHs of mine water and nearby stream water of pyrophyllite deposits are 2.1∼3.7, which are strongly acidic and much lower than that (6.2∼7.2) of upstream water and than that (6.8∼7.6) of the stream water derived from the non-mineralized area. This study reveals that this acid mine drainage can affect the downstream area which is 8km far from the pyrophyllite deposits, even though the drainage is diluted with abundant non-contaminated river water. This suggests that not only acid mine drainage but also the sulfide-bearing sediments originated from the pyrophyllite deposits move downstream and form acidic water through continuous oxidation reaction. The heavy metals such as Pb, Zn, Cu, Cd, Ni, Mn and Fe are enriched in the mine water of low pH, and their contents decrease as the pH of mine water increases because of the influx of fresh stream water. Soils of the pyrophyllite deposits are characterized by high contents of heavy metals. The stream sediments containing the yellowish brown precipitates formed by neutralization of acid mine drainage occur in all parts of the stream derived from the pyrophyllite deposits, and the sediments also contain high amounts of heavy metals. In summary, the acid mine drainage of the pyrophyllite deposits is located in the upstream part of Hoidong water reservoir in Pusan contains large amounts of heavy metals and flows into the Hoidong water reservoir without any purification process. To protect the water of Hoidong reservoir, the acid mine drainage should be treated with a proper purification process.

        We examined whether several reeds, which are found around Ulsan area, could be used for downflow reed-bed to remove pollutants of sewage. Three kinds of reed, such as Phagmites australis, Typha orientalls, and Phalaris aundinacea L., were collected from their habitats near the Taehwa River in Ulsan City. In the minimized model system of downflow reed-bed, P. australis appeared to reduce BOD more than others did but slightly increase total amount of nitrogen(N). When P. australis were placed in the sterilized water, total nitrogen was found to be significantly increased dependent on the number of experimental plant in the sterilized state, but it was rather decreased in the non-sterilized state. With these results, microorganisms attached to P.australis roots can be thought to work for removal of pollutants. Therefore, these microorganisms and their habitat, P. australis reed bed, together can be used for sewage treatment. It was suggested that oxygen is produced by photosynthesis reaction of P. austrails. The increased oxygen may help microorganisms in their habitats to work on the removal of pollutants

        For efficient development of rural facilities, choice of their optimum locations would be an important issue, however, existing research works concentrated much more an allocation policy of urban industrial complex and public facilities than rural ones. In this study, because agricultural-cum-industrial complex has been the most widely developed representative one of rural facilities, it was selected as a case study facility. As a pre-study to system development, existing governmental location-decision system was checked and interviewing survey carried out to find out on-spot problems. And, being based on literature review and survey analysis results, 4-step optimum locational decision model was developed , formulation of locational goal system, ranking tabulation on components, determination of significance values of components, calculation of component scores. Finally, through the case study works on 3 sites, system applicability was checked, Considering together the simplicity problem of existing guidelines and the interviewing survey results favoring the diversified viewpoints, it would be necessary to develop multifaceted support system for locational decision making. 3-tier classification steps from the higher, middle to lower one were used and their underpinning viewpoints were sorted as on regional development, entrepreneurship, spatial rationality, from which a tentative locational goal system was formulated. Through the expert group checking, final locational goal system was determined having 3 of the higher classification items, 7 of the middle ones, 23 of the lower ogles. For ranking tabulation, 3 types of ranking criteria were arranged which were based on statistical analysis using mean and standard deviation(Type I ), its existence or not 1 good or not(Type E ), and the others(Type E ). From the significance evaluation results, regional development and entrepreneurship aspects were valued much higher than spatial rationality aspect. And, in the middle step, items as spread effects of regional economy, accessibility and social potentialities were highly valued while infrastructural development level and natural condition being low. The application results of the system to 3 case study total. However, the detailed ones differed among study the influencing effects on regional economy, and contrast greater the infrastructural development level. Conclusively, final evaluation values well represented the characteristics of each area. If this system be complemented and applied comprehensively by the successive studies, it would be developed to a general model of locational decision supporting system for rural facilities.

        This study, a sub-one of comprehensive research works titled under "Rural Resources Evaluation System", tried to propose a rational methodology for development of rating tabulation on evaluation items. Firstly, the database system for handling of original/processed data of each evaluation items was constructed, being mainly focussed on the possibilities of data acquisition and statistical treatment. The rating tabulation system developed in the study has the formalized evaluation classes as 2 or 5 for convenience/simplification of analysis works. For each evaluation item in lower step of the goal system, 5 types of rating technique were arranged, which were based on statistical analysis using mean and standard deviation values(Type I), its existence or not(Type II), relative significance of its holding volume(Type III), synthesized weighting scale of its quality and quantity(Type IV), and the others(Type V). And, standardized 4-steps procedure for rating tabulation was proposed. Finally, the rating tabulation system developed in the study was applied to each evaluation item of goal system, from which the numerically-valued ranking criteria was obtained.

        This study makes a general view of human-, natural environment, actual condition of use, management and administration of Sissinghurst castle garden and proposes the following directions for our model of herb industry, herb garden plan with the analysed results. 1) The location of herb garden should be selected at a place where Is close to scenic spots, sight-seeing place or big city and conveniently situated, 2) For the basic design of herb garden, the ecological features, human -, natural environment should be analysed and for the implementation of the plan, it should have variety and coordination to give the pleasure and appreciation to the users. 3) For the plan of herb garden, time limit system and number limit admission have to be introduced by calculating carrying capacity so that the user can have a comfortable atmosphere and the garden should be environment - friendly.

        본 연구에서는 주암호 건설에 따른 기후 요소의 변이에 따른 벼 생산성에서의 변이를 밝히기 위해 주암호 주변 6개 지역에 AWS를 설치하고 그 인근 지역에서 벼를 재배하고 생육 및 수량을 조사하였다. 조사항목은 주요 기상요소로서 일최고기온, 일최저기온, 일평균기온, 일평균상대습도, 일평균풍속, 일평균지온, 일적산일사량 그리고 일적산강우량이었고, 생육형질로는 일주일 간격으로 8~10회에 걸쳐 초장, 분얼수, 엽면적, 엽건물중, 경건물증, 그리고 수량 및 수량구성요소를 조사하였다. 기상요소의 변이와 벼 생산성의 변이간의 관계는 SIMRIW의 모수추정을 통해서 이루어졌으며 호수 생성 전과 생성 후의 기상을 30년간 시뮬레이션을 통해 추정한 다음 이 결과를 모형에 입력하여 30년간의 모형에 의한 수량을 추정하고 그 평균을 통해 호수생성에 따른 벼 생산성 변이를 추정하였다. '94년도 5개 지역 그리고 '95년도 3개 지역, 그리고 '96년도 4개 지역의 관측된 시험 성적과 SIMRIW에서 추정한 지상부 건물중, 엽면적지수 그리고 수량을 비교해 보았을 때 SIMRIW의 결과가 대체적으로 각 관측치의 평균값에 접근함을 알 수 있어 이 모형이 비교적 양호하게 기상환경의 변이에 따른 수량을 예측함을 알 수 있었다. 30년간의 simulation을 통해 얻은 담수 전과 담수 후의 기상자료를 비교해 보면 일최고기온은 담수 전이 약간 높았으나 일최저기온은 담수 후가 약간 높아서 일평균기온은 담수 후가 오히려 높은 경향을 보였고, 일적산일사량은 담수 후에 대략 0.9 MJ d1 정도 낮아졌다. 이들 자료를 SIMRIW에 입력하여 수량을 예측해 본 결과 주 암호의 생성에 따라 복다-동촌-승주지역에서 5.2%, 오봉 4.9%, 이읍 9.1%, 금성 5.5%, 유정 4.8%, 다산 3.3% 정도 수량이 감소된 것으로 나타났다. 전지역을 평균하여 볼 때 담수 전이 6.82MT/ha, 담수 후가 6.44MT/ha로 전체적으로 5.6% 정도 감수한 것으로 나타났다.

        벼 직파재배는 묘대기 보온이 가능한 이앙재배와는 달리 생육 전기간을 파종부터 본 논에서 직접기상의 영향을 받는다. 온대지방에서 벼의 발육속도는 파종기부터 출수기까지 기온에 비례하며, 각각의 생육단계에는 유효기온이 있다. 이러한 생태이론을 적용하여 지역별 농업기후조건에 따른 벼 건답직파재배의 안전작기를 설정하기 위한 생육단계와 안전재배기간을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 파종 후 20일 이내로 출아될 수 있는 일평균기온 13℃ 의 출현시기로 파종조한기(CESD)를 결정한 결과, 북부의 인제 (4월 27일 )와 남부의 부산(4월 12일)의 지역간 차이는 약 15일이었다. 2. 출수 후 40일간의 이동평균기온이 22℃ 가 되는 출현초일 호적출수기 (OHD)로 결정한 결과, 북부(인제 7월 29일)와 남부(부산 8월 20일)의 지역간 차이는 약 22일의 차이가 있었다. 3. 일평균기온이 15℃ 가 되는 출현종일부터 역산한 적산기온이 760℃ 가 되는 시기로 등숙만한 출수기(CHDR)를 결정하였고, 그 결과 북부(인제 8월 18일)와 남부(부산 9월 16일)의 지역간에 약 29일의 차이가 있었다. 4. 일평균기온이 15℃ 가 되는 출현종일로 등숙만한기(CLRD)를 결정하였으며, 그 시기는 북부(인제 9월 28일)와 남부(부산 10월 28일)간에 약 30일의 차이가 있었다. 5. 지역별 건답직파재배기간의 적정기간인 파종조한기(CESD)부터 호적출수기(OHD)까지는 인제 93일, 수원과 대전 110~120일, 전주 밀양 및 부산 등지는 120~130일이었고 재배가능 기간인 등숙만한기(CLRD)까지는 인제 154일, 수원과 대전 170~180일, 전주, 밀양 및 부산 등지는 180~200일이었다.환경적응성이 낮은 경향이었다.은 모두 경운 유 ㆍ무에 관계없이 시비수준이 높을수록 높은 경향을 보였고, 10일에 최고수준을 보인 후 완만한 감소를 나타냈으며, K+, Ca2+에 비해 Mg2+이 보다 낮은 함량을 보였다.989년산 일반계를 10분도와 12분도로 도정하였을 때 도정도에 따른 밥맛의 차이는 없었다.X>CoOx는 Co3O4 로 존재하고, 반응 전의 경우에는 이와는 다른 chemical state를 보여주었다.         The purpose of this study is to suggest the estimation model of `amenity environment` by Perceived Environmental Quality Index(PEQI) model. A questionnaire survey was carried out for the study area of Taegu-Kyungbuk region. Sampling size was 838(427 of Taegu and 411 of Kyungbuk) residents by stratified sampling of each region`s(7 Gu for Taegu, 7 Cities & Gun for Kyungbuk) population. The survey was done during Sep. to Nov. of 1996. The suggested model was composed of four estimation categories and 16 indicators. The four categories were `Cleanness & Quietness`, `Naturalness & Harmony`, `Beauty & Comfort` and `Environmental Conservation Efforts`. And each category has several individual indicators. The weighted means of satisfaction were different by each region. Suseong-gu, Dalseogu, Joong-gu(Taegu), Kimcheon, Andong, and Cheondo(Kyungbuk) showed high environmental satisfaction, but Dong-gu, Seo-gu(taegu), Youngcheon, and Pohang(Kyungbuk) showed lower environmental satisfaction. By Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) of weighting values for each categorirs, `Environmental Conservation Efforts` was estimated as the most important(value of 0.367), and `Naturalness & Harmony`(0.242), `Clenness & Quietness`(0.225), and `Beauty & Comfort`(0.166) were important respectively. Total PEQI`s were estimated as 48.0 for Taegu, and 53.3 for Kyungbuk. PEQI`s for each regions were between 46.2(Dong-gu) and 59.9(Kimcheon). The validity of the suggested model was verified by factor analysis. The four factors were identified as the same categories and indicators. Finally, The LISREL+7 model was suggested as estimation model of `Amenity Environment` for Taegu-Kyungbuk region.

        유용자원식물의 자생지 재배기술의 확립을 위한 기초자료를 얻고저 참취와 삼지구엽초의 자생지 식생 및 환경(생태 및 토양화학성분) 조사를 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 참취자생지인 춘천 A. 연엽산 A 그리고 연엽산 B에서의 종수는 20, 26, 25종이었고 삼지구엽초 자생지인 춘천 B, 북방면 그리고 대룡산에서는 15, 32, 26종이었다. 참취 자생지의 우점종은 춘천 A, 연엽산 A, 연엽산 B에서 맑은대쑥, 애기나리, 실새풀 등이었으며 삼지구엽초의 자생지인 춘천 B, 북방면, 대룡산에서는 고사리, 맑은대쑥, 애기나리 등이 우점하였다. 2. 자생지의 토양산도는 4.5-5.3 범위였으며 유기물 함량은 1.59(춘천A)~5.5(연엽산 B)이었다. 암모니아태 질소 및 질산태 질소함량은 참취 자생지와 삼지구엽초 자생지 토양에서 평균 각각 0.0043mg/kg, 0.0025mg/kg이었다. 3. 자생지 토양의 NH4-N의 성분은 참취의 자생지의 토양성분이 삼지구엽초의 자생지 토양성분보다 약간 높은 수치를 보였다. 그밖의 성분의 차이는 크게 나타나지 않았다.

        The Janghang smelter is the first lead, zinc and copper smelting facility in Korea which was operated for a half century from 1936 to 1989. The clay minerals and their heavy metal association in the soil profile around the smelter have been studied using XRD, EPMA, SEM-EDS, TEM, EPR and sequential extraction techniques. The soils in A horizon are highly acidic showing pH 4.45. The pH is going up with increasing depth. They have residual water contents of 1.18-1.51 wt%, loss on ignition of 6.32-7.79 wt%, and carbon contents of 0.08-0.88 wt%. Soils consist of quartz, feldspar, muscovite, kaolinite, vermiculite, biotite, chlorite, goethite and hematite in the decreasing abundance. The contents of clay minerals, especially vermiculite and chlorite, decrease with increasing depth. Sequential extraction experiments for the profile samples show that heavy metals (Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd) are highly concentrated in the A horizon of the soil profile as water-extractable (mostly amorphous), MgCl2-extractable (exchangeable in clay minerals), and organic phases. The heavy metal contents decrease with increasing depth. It suggests that the heavy metals are mainly associate with clay minerlas in an exchangeable state. It is also noted that heavy metals are highly concentrated in the manganese and iron oxide phases.

        Serpentinite of the Yesan-Gongju-Cheongyang area has been formed by serpentinization of ultramafic rocks. The ultramafic rock might be composed mainly of oilvine with minor pyroxene and amphibole. Olivine has a considerably restricted chemical compositional ranging from Fo90 to Fo93. Fresh serpentinite containing large amount of oilvine is usually massive in occurrence and dark green to black in color. Serpentine minerals occur not only as major mineral of serpentinite, but also as remnants in the talc ore which was formed from serpentinite. XRD study indicates that antigorie is the most abundant serpentine mineral of the serpentinite. Serpentinite consisting of antigorite usually shows non-pseudomorphic texture, whereas that consisting of lizardite shows pseudomorphic texture. Antigorite is found along the margins or fractures of olivine grains resulting in the formation of network of magnetite which was formed at the time of serpentinization. Lizardite, subordinate constituent mineral of serpentinite, frequently shows pseudomorphic mesh-texture after olivine. The chemical differences between antigorite and lizardite/chrysotile are small, so both minerals are not easily discernible with the electron microprobe. Antigorite occuers as elongate blades, flakes, or plates forming interpenetrating texture to obliterate previous textures. SEM study also shows that most serpentine minerals occur in platy or tabular form rather than in asbestiform. Fractures formed after main serpentinization are observed within the pseudomorphic central olivine grain. Careful observation of the serpentine pseudomorphs gives a great deal of data on the pre-serpentinization nature of the serpentine pseudomorphs gives a great deal of data on the pre-serpentinization nature of the ultramafic rocks. It is inferred that the serpentinization took place after the emplacement of ultramafic body into the relatively wet environment ceased and the cooling intrusive body crossed into the stability field of serpentine. It is inferred that the final pervasive serpentinization took place over a long time, by hydrothermal water supplied through the fracture system produced during emplacement of ultramafic rock.

        The purpose of this study is to clarify the geological occurrence, mineralogical, physico-chemical and thermal properties of the sericite ore which located in Chungha area, Kyungsangbuk-do. The geology of this area are composed mainly of hornfels and some felsite porphyry. The sericitic ore is classified into sericite, sericite-quartz and quartz-sericite ore according to mineral assemblages. Mineral components in sericite ore are mainly sericite with minor quartz, apatite, sphene, zircon, ilmenite, bismuthinite, iron oxide and etc. Sericite-quartz ore are mainly composed of sericite and quartz. Accessary minerals are muscovite, epidote, zircon, sphene, iron oxide and etc. The chemical compositions of K2O, Al2O3, & Ignition loss in sericite and sericite-quartz ore increase than that of the host rock, while the composition of SiO2, Na2O & Fe2O3 decrease. Sericite and sericite-quartz ore are characterized by the specific gravity of 2.35 and 2.44, the pH of 4.36 cP and 2.36 cP respectively. The result of size analyses of sericite ore is 11.3% in grain volume concentration between 12.9 μm and 11.1μm, and 32.3% between 9.6μm and 12.9μm. The thermal expansivity of sericite and sericite-quartz ore show the similar pattern. The sericite ore shows the thermal expansivity of 0.31% at 500℃, 0.39~0.75% at 600~1,000℃ and 0.74% at 1,100℃. The sericite-quartz ore show the thermal expansivity of 0.29% at 500℃, 0.36~0.72% at 600~1,000% and 0.71% at 1,100℃

        Mineral description and mineralogical characterization were made for the wellsite, a barrian zeolite, which found as diagenetic alterations in the Miocene pyroclastic rocks in Gampo area. The wellsite occurs together with clinoptilolite, smectite and apatite as euhedral crystallites (0.2~0.4mm) forming interpenetraion twinning in the vesicles of altered pmice fragments. Compared to other reported wellsites, the wellsite is rather silicic (Si/(Al+Fe): 3.12-3.16) and Ca-rich. Unit cell dimensions and chemical formular determined from XRD, EMPA and TGA data are as follows:a=9.883a, b=14.204a, c=8.677a, β-124.764˚, (Ba0.57K0.36)(Ca1.18Na0.04)Al3.9Si12.1O32.13.9H2O.The cation composition of the Gampo wellsite, which shows an exchange reaction in the form of Ba2++Ca2+=2(K++Na-), is deviated far from the compositional range of a phillipsite-harmotome series. Due to higher abundance of divalent cations (Ca, Ba) and si in the wellsite, cimpared to those of the phillipsite and harmotome reported in other areas, the zeolite seems to be characteristic of higher water content (18.7 wt%) and higher thermal stability. XRD, chemical and thermo-chemical results of the wellsite reflects that wellsite is rather a Ba- and Ca-rich end member of a phillipsite-harmotome-wellsite series than an intermediate phase of phillipsite-harmotome series or a barrian variety of phillipste.

        The aim of this study is to determine harmful radioactive gas(Rn^222)-concentrations in soils and to suggest the anormalous regions of Rn^222 -concentration in Taejeon area. The range of Rn^222 -concentration in the soils (45 samples) of the survey area is 100 to 2,475 (pCi/L) and mean±δ of those values is 489±05 (pCi/L). The 2% (4 samples) of soil-gas samples (45 ones) collected in the survey area is corresponded to high risk level, 53% (24 samples) to medium one and 43% (19 samples) to low one. Especially, The Rn^222-concentration is relatively higher in schistose granite region than in other rock units (two-mica granite and biotite granite) in the survey area. The Rn^222-concentration is propotional to the uranium contents in the soils. The soil hardness among the various factors is correlative with Rn^222-concentrations. To prevent the damage from Rn^222 -concentrations, it is necessary to close the cracks of underground structure and to consider methods reducing Rn222-concentration for the anormalous regions.

        To predict diffusion and movement of air pollutants in coastal urban region a numerical simulation shoud be consider atmospheric flow field with land-sea breeze, mountain-valley wind and urban effects. In this study we used Lagrangian particle dispersion method in the atmospheric flow field of Pusan coastal region to depict diffusion and movement of the pollutants emited from particular sources and employed two grid system, one for large scale calculating region with the coarse mesh grid (CMG) and the other for the small region with the fine mesh grid (FMG). It was found that the dispersion pattern of the pollutants followed local circulation system in coastal urban area and while air pollutants exhausted from Sasang moved into Baekyang and Jang moutain, air pollutants from Janglim moved into Hwameong-dong region.

        1990년 임하 다목적댐 건설에 의해 경북 안동지역에 생성된 담수면적 28.7km2 의 임하호가 주변지역의 국지기후 및 주요 작물의 잠재생산력에 미친 영향을 구명하기 위해 임하호 주변 30km 25km 지역을 대상으로 무인기상관측망을 구성, 5년간의 특별관측을 수행하였다. 수집된 자료를 토대로 담수전후 기후시나리오를 작성하고 이를 작물모형에 입력하여 최종 건물생산량을 추정한 바, 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 담수후 5년간 일최고기온은 담수 전보다 평균적으로 한후기 (10월~3월)에 상승하고 난후기에 하강하였으나, 예외적으로 6월과 7월에는 상승하였다. 일최저기온은 담수 전보다 평균적으로 난후기(4월~8월)에 하강하고 한후기에 상승하였다. 담수 전후 기온의 변화정도는 겨울철에 크고 여름철에 적었다. 2. 담수후 5년간 강수량은 담수 전보다 평균적으로 2, 3, 5, 7, 12월에 증가하였고 나머지 달에는 감소하였으나 연간 총강수량의 변화는 인정되지 않았다. 월별 일사량은 2, 6, 9월을 제외하고는 담수전에 비해 5% 가량 감소하였다. 3. 담수 전후 30년간씩의 벼 생육모의실험에서 대상지역내 27개 재배구역 중 담수에 의해 잠재수량의 변화가 인정되는 곳은 한 곳 뿐으로 담수전에 비해 정조 기준 4%의 증가를 보였다. 4. 담수 전후 30년간씩의 콩 생육모의실험에서 대상지역내 27개 재배구역 중 담수에 의해 잠재수량 감소가 인정되는 곳이 2개였으며 최대 감수율은 16%였다. 5. 담수 전후 30년간씩의 옥수수 생육모의실험에서 담수에 의해 옥수수의 잠재수량 감소가 인정되는 곳이 총 27개 중 6개였고 최대 감수율은 17%였다.. 또한 유수의 크기는 전 유수발달기를 통하여 항상 밀양 2003가 고시히카리보다 컸다. the canopies with more leaf mass, making MB the highest, HB the lowest, and DS in between. Relative humidity was over 90% in the night and dropped to 70% in the mid-afternoon, but vapor pressure within the canopy was highest at around 13:00 LST. Dew point depression was lowest and, combined with the temperature, the relative humidity was highest in HB. Mean period of wetting duration was in the order of DS>HB>MB, while the dew point depression was greatest in DS.ANCOVA, Pearson correlation을 이용하여 분석하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 캠프 프로그램은 소아 당뇨병 환자의 자기 효능을 증진시키고 환자 역할 행위 이행을 높여주는데 효과적 이었다. 소아 당뇨병 환자의 자기 효능은 환자 역할 행위 이행과 순 상관 관계가 있어, 자기 효능이 증진될수록 환자 역할 행위 이행 정도가 높아졌다. 무조건 사주지 않는다(8.0%), 무조건 사준다(3.1%)로 식품광고에 나오는 식품 요구시 부모의 70.3%가 거절하는 것으로 나타났다. 거절 이유는 건강에 나쁘다는 것이 가장 큰 이유였으며 강남과 강북 어린이간에 유의적인 차이가 있었다(p<0.001).         담수직파와 건답직파의 절충형 직파양식인 벼 요철골 담수직파방법에서 적정 파종량을 구명하고자 영남농업시험장 영덕출장소에서 1994년과 1995년 2년가 파종량 3, 4, 5, 6, 7kg/10a으로 실시한 시험결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. m2 당 입모수는 97~161개로 파종량이 증가할수록 입모수가 많았으나 파종량 3kg /10a에서도 요철골 담수직파재배시 안전 입모수 확보는 가능하였다. 2. 도복관연형질중 분얼결당 생중, 간벽두께 중심고비율 등은 파종량간에 큰 차이가 없었다. 파종량이 많을수록 좌절중이 떨어져 도복지수가 컸고, 포장도복은 파종량 5kg /10a이상에서 1~3정도 발생하였다. 3. 출수기는 10a당 파종량 5~7kg이 3~4kg보다 1일이 빨랐다. 4. 수량 구성요소는 파종량이 증가할수록 수수는 많았으나 등숙비율은 떨어졌고 수당 입수 및 천립중은 파종량간에 뚜렷한 차이가 없었다. 5. 건물중은 파종량 증가에 따라 증가했으나 수확지수는 떨어졌고, 2개년 평균 쌀 수량은 518~552kg /10a당 파종량 5kg /10a에서 가장 높았다. 6. 2차 회귀곡선식으로 추정한 최고수량을 나타낸 파종량은 4.3~4.8kg /10a이었고 이때 m2 당 입모수는 126~135개였다.

        The objectives of the study are to identify the issues and problems encountered in Korea's current integrated rural regional development(IRRD) program and to suggest policy remedies to cope with them. Secondary data and materials ate mainly used for the study. Since the mid-1980s, rural settlement planning has been carried out in the Republic of Korea, In the planning process,'scale of economy'perspectives and settlement policy have been emphasized for increasing the efficiency of investment. During the 1990s, rural settlement and major village development projects have been implemented under the rural structure transformation programs. Agricultural structure adjustment projects for land consolidation and sizable farming have been separated from the rural settlement and mojor village development projects. Based on the evaluative analysis for the rural structure transformation policy and program, some problematic issues were raised as follows: (a) lack of integrative control function in the program'(b) weak linkage between living environment improvement and agricultural development projects: and (c) lack of comprehensive village development planning and implementation system. The policy issues to solve the problems were suggested as follows: (a) adoption of bottom-up approach in new IRRD planning and project system : (b) projection of comprehensive development planning and project at the village level; and (c) introduction of new regional agriculture development projects such as direct payment system for farming in less favorable areas and organic farming.

        This study surveys the herb industry, which plays an important role in the economy activation of the advanced countries, and by which Choongbuk, as one of local authorities, makes the first attempt in Korea. It describes the direction of the policy and application, came to a conclusion as follows. 1. Choongbuk is arranging a Herb garden as the first step in connection with the exsiting plan, It could be highly rated because there has been no example yet in korea and therefore it could involve risks. 2. The selection of site will be decided by the Do-authorities considering traffic network and accessibility. Therefore Shi and Gun authorities could have a passive and formal attitude for this policy. 3. The size of the herb garden, by modeling Japanese and European herb garden, will be 15000 pyung(4545m), From the point of view it is a start, the herb garden has still tasks to solve, e.g. lack of experience, organizational and technological problems.
