        기후변화에 따른 양서류 번식계절학 및 양서류 군집다양성 변동에 대한 연구는 다수 수행되었지만, 개별 종의 번식개 체군 크기의 변동에 대한 연구결과는 여전히 부족하다. 본 연구에서는 기후변화가 국내 산간계곡에서 번식하는 무미류인 계곡산개구리(Rana huanrenensis)와 유미류인 도롱뇽(Hynobius leechii) 번식개체군 크기에 영향을 미치는지를 평가하기 위하여 2005년부터 2012년 사이 8년간의 야외개체군 변동과 주변 기후변화 요인들과의 관련성을 분석하였다. 야외에서 두 종은 각각 약 3.5년을 주기로 번식개체군의 크기가 증감하고 있었다. 특별히, 도롱뇽 번식개체군의 크기는 8년에 걸쳐 유의하게 감소하였다. 기후요인들 중, 기온은 계곡산개구리, 강수량은 도롱뇽 번식개체군의 크기와 더 밀접한 관련성을 가지고 있었다. 특별히, 해당지역에서는 8년에 걸쳐 년간평균최고기온 및 봄철평균일교차가 일관되게 감소하였으며, 후자는 도롱뇽 번식개체군 크기의 의미 있는 감소와 관련되었다. 이러한 결과는 최근의 기후변화가 산간계곡에서 번식하는 국내 양서류, 특별히 도롱뇽, 번식개체군 크기의 감소로 직접적으로 이어질 수 있음을 보여준다.

        온실가스의 주범인 이산화탄소를 효과적으로 분리하기 위하여 이산화탄소와 친화성이 좋은 에틸렌글리콜 사슬이 도입된 폴리설폰 기반의 고분자와 아민이 기능화된 ZIF8 무기입자 (ZIF8-A) 를 복합화한 유무기 복합 기체분리막 (MMM)을 제조하였다. 제조된 분리막은 XRD, TGA, FT-IR, SEM 및 NMR 분석을 통해 분리막의 구조와 물성특성을 확인하였다. CO2/N2, CO2/CH4에 대한 가스 투과 특성을 조사하였고, 그 결과 ZIF8-A 구조 내 아민 함량 증가에 따라 이산화탄소에 대한 투과도 및 선택도가 증가하는 경향을 나타냈다. 이는 ZIF8-A 구조 아민기능기와 에칠렌글라이콜 사슬과의 입자와의 계면저항성이 낮은 것에 기인한 것으로 판단하였다.

        Recently, many efforts to enhance separation performance of the reverse osmosis (RO) membranes have been made. Among them, the post treatment with organic solvent, so called solvent activation, has been recognized as an effective method to improve membrane performance. However, solvent activation enhances water flux along with the loss of NaCl rejection. Furthermore, there have been no clear mechanisms and reliable criteria of the solvent activation effects. In this study, we demonstrate that a new type of organic solvent, benzyl alcohol, can effectively activate the RO membrane to significantly enhance water permeation without deteriorating NaCl. Based on this results, we elucidate the underlying solvent activation mechanism and propose a reliable indicator of the solvent activation effect.

        High performance polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) membranes for n-butanol recovery were fabricated using a tri-functional crosslinker containing the phenyl group. In order to understand the role of the functional group structure and cross-linking density in pervaporation performance, PDMS membranes were prepared using tri-functional crosslinker containing other functional groups (hexyl and cyclohexyl) and conventional tetra-functional crosslinker. The relationship between the polymer structure-performance was discussed based on the sorption and diffusion properties of the membranes. As a result, the phenyl-based PDMS membrane exhibited the pervaporation performance owing to the strong hydrophobicity and chain rigidity of the phenyl group compared to other PDMS membranes even at high butanol concentration and high temperature conditions.

        A highly performing and durable forward osmosis (FO) membrane was prepared using a polydopamine-modified polyolefin (DPO) support via an aromatic solvent (toluene)-based interfacial polymerization (IP). The hydrophobic polyolefin support was uniformly hydrophilized by polydopamine coating, which provided long term operation stability. In addition, a highly permselective selective layer was prepared on the hydrophilic DPO support by the toluene-based IP, which promoted amine diffusion and the subsequent IP reaction. As a result, the prepared DPO-supported TFC membrane exhibited significantly high FO performance, which was ~4.9 times higher FO water flux and ~62% lower specific salt flux than those of a commercial FO (HTI-CTA) membrane in FO mode. Furthermore, its excellent mechanical and chemical stability enabled stable operation.

        (주)파인텍에서 개발한 제올라이트 4A 분리막을 이용하여 물/알코올의 단일및 혼합성분의 투과증발 실험을 수행하였다. 다양한 온도 및 농도 조건 실험을 통해 물/메탄올(분리계수 250 이상) 물/에탄올(3,000 이상), 물/이소프로필알코올(1,500 이상), 물/부탄올 (1,500 이상) 혼합물로 부터 물을 선택적으로 분리할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 활동도계수-퓨개시티 모형, GMS 모형 및 Dusty Gas 모형을 이용하여 단일성분 및 혼합물의 투과증발 거동을 모사하였으며, GA (Genetic Algorithm) 및 SQP (sequential quadratic programming)를 이용한 상수추정을 통하여 제올라이트 활성층의 흡착 및 확산 상수를 구하였다.

        The roadkill that animals die after bumping by vehicles on the roads is acting as a factor to decrease the size of various animal populations. It has also been known to be the biggest artificial causations of Vertebrata deaths not only in urban areas but also protected areas such as national parks. Nevertheless, in the national park areas which are major protected national areas for conservation of national biodiversity and ecological diversity, snake roadkills occur frequently. Up to date, related studies are rare. Therefore, in this study, we described snake roadkill patterns on the roads in six national parks between 2006 and 2015. We identified total 736 snake roadkills compromising 10 different species. Five species, Rhabdophis lateralis, Elaphe dione, Gloydius ussuriensis, Lycodon rufozonatus, Gloydius brevicaudus occupied more than 91.7% of total roadkill cases. Active forager snakes were killed by roadkills more than ambush foragers, and the snake roadkill frequency was the highest in September, a migration period and in August when the young individuals dispersed at between 100 and 799 m altitude areas. Roads where roadkills were frequent lie between forest and hydrosphere or between forest and crop field road sides. Our results could be used to identify the trend of snake roadkills on the roads in national parks, and to establish effective roadkill mitigation measures and policies.

        Recently, in Seoul, Korea, GPR (Ground Penetration Rader)-based road cavities exploration technology was introduced for the exact cause analysis of road subsidence. The city of Seoul has identified a total of 2504 cavity in 2017 by using the introduced road cavities exploration technology, which shows that the incidence rate of road subsidence is reduced by 67%. However, GPR-based exploration technology is mainly concerned with cavities in the underground of the road pavement, and there is no effective method for areas with a danger zone depth of 1.5m or more and special areas such as narrow sidewalk. The EM (Electro Magnetic) method can be used to check the existence of cavities and poor ground in the underground using information on the location, shape, and electrical conductivity of the anomaly zone in the underground by measuring the electromagnetic field. Therefore, in this study, want to predict with a danger zone area by exploring the underground in the narrow sidewalk or park road by using the EM equipment which is capable of deep geological exploration, non - contact and equipment size change. In the previous research, the underground exploration was performed by simulating the ground and the cavities and the cavities including the metal. As a result, it was confirmed that an electrical resistivity anomaly zone occurred in the cavity regardless of the existence of the metal. Therefore, in order to analysis the applicability of the EM method in the underground cavities area according to the field simulation, this study will conduct the outside experiment by simulating actual sidewalk or asphalt pavement. In the future, the researchers will plan to examine the applicability of various factors such as type, condition and depth of road pavement.

        Well-defined methacrylate based amphiphilic block copolymers (BCs) used as additives to fabricate poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) UF membranes, where the amphiphilic BC additives hydrophilically altered PVDF with PPEGMA block segment by strong interaction with the other PMMA block segment, which reduced water resistance to the PVDF polymer solution during phase separation. FT-IR and XPS studies showed carbonyl groups of BCs in the PVDF membranes. Obtained membranes showed porous surface layer and finger-like pore structures on the sublayers, of which sizes were increased with the increase of BC contents. Obtained membranes showed MWCO with 100K PEO and the best water flux was achieved in the PVDF membrane with BC/LiCl additive and improved the anti-fouling property for BSA protein.
