        The family Pseudococcidae or mealybugs (Hemiptera) are common pests in tropical region of the world and also considered as important pests on ornamental plants and fruit trees. The mealybug faunas in Cambodia and Laos were known to nineteen species and eight species, respectively (ScaleNet, 2014; CABI, 2015; FAO-IPM, 2014). Recently, we have collected thirteen mealybug species in Cambodia and Laos. Among them, seven species of mealybug are found for the first time: Phenacoccus solani (Ferris, 1918) and Rastrococcus iceryoides (Green, 1908) in Cambodia; Dysmicoccus neobrevipes (Beardsley, 1959) and Phenacoccus solenopsis (Tinsley, 1898) in both counties; Paracoccus invectus (Williams, 2004), Planococcus minor (Maskell, 1897) and Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi (Gimpel & Miller, 1996) in Laos.

        농산물 중에 있는 제초제 saflufenacil의 잔류량을 검사 하기 위해 HPLC-UVD와 LC-MS를 이용한 정확하고 감도가 좋은 분석방법을 개발하였다. Saflufenacil 잔류물은 acetone 추출, dichloromethane을 이용한 액-액 분배, silica 와 carbon 카트리지 정제를 거쳐 기기분석을 수행하였다. 검량선 작성을 위해 0.1~5.0 μgmL−1 범위로 표준품을 만들어 실험한 결과 상관계수(r2)는 0.999로 높은 직선성을 보였다. 0.02~0.5 mg kg−1 처리수준으로 회수율을 실험한 결 과는 80.5~110.2% 이었으며, 상대표준편차는 10% 미만이었다. 분석방법의 검출한계와 정량한계는 각각 0.005와 0.02 mg L−1 이었다. 확립된 시험법으로 본청, 부산지방식품의 약품안전청과 경인지방식품의약품안전청에서 실험실간 검증을 실시한 결과 만족스런 결과를 얻었다. 이러한 결과 들을 통해 확립된 시험법은 농산물 중 saflufenacil의 잔류 량 분석에 적합함을 확인할 수 있었다.

        Tidal turbulence was examined using three-dimensional tidal velocity data observed at a trench offshore of Tongyoung, Korea. The kinetic energy and intensity, including the variation period of the flow velocity and direction, were used to investigate the relationships between tidal turbulence and fishing gear dynamics, including the effects of swimming fish during fishing operations. As the resultant velocity increased from 0.2 to 0.9 m/s, the kinetic energy also significantly increased, while the turbulence intensity decreased from 50 to 10%. Tidal flow in strong flow fields displayed shorter periods of between 4 and 10 s, as determined by fast Fourier transform, the global wavelet method, and peak event analysis, and the periods were compared with the period of response to swimming fish and to oscillation of fishing gear. As mean velocity increased, velocity amplitude also increased from 0.1 to 0.6 m/s, and its directional amplitude changed markedly from 20 and 90°. Our study suggests that tidal turbulence can influence fish behavior or fishing gear geometry during fishing operations, although our analysis considered only a limited area. In future work, observations should be carried out over a more extensive depth and area.

        예이츠와 히니 두 작가 모두 다른 기질과 역사 및 문화 배경으로 인하여 서로 다른 유토피아를 추구한다. 두 작가를 비교해보면 낭만적경향의 예이츠는 과거나 미래 혹은 저 먼 나라를 그린 점에 있어서 '지금' 그리고 '현재'라는 실재에 비중을 두는 히니와 다르다. 예이츠를 궁중풍 시인 혹은 켈트의 무당 혹은 기사라 칭한다면 히니는 초기에는 아일랜드 역사를 파헤치는 고고학자, 중기에는 방랑 순수시인, 그리고 후기에는 과학자적 객관주의와 초월주의 시인의 면모를 동시에 보이는 점 때문에 예이츠에 비해 사실적 작가로 평가하게 된다. 그들이 그린 유토피아에 그리스 어원을 적용해보면 예이츠는 '어디에도 없는 곳'을 히니는 '좋은 곳'을 추구한다는 차이를 발견하게 된다.

        Recently, methods that usea carbon-based filler, a conductive nanomaterial, have been investigated to develop composite fillers containing dielectric materials. In this study, we added geometric changes to a carbon fiber, a typical carbon-based filler material, by differentiating the orientation angle and the number of plies of the fiber. We also studied the electrical and electromagnetic shield characteristics. Based on the orientation angle of 0˚, the orientation angle of the carbon fiber was changed between 0, 15, 30, 45, and 90˚, and 2, 4, and 6 plies were stacked for each orientation angle. The maximum effect was found when the orientation angle was 90˚, which was perpendicular to the electromagnetic wave flow, as compared to 0˚, in which case the electrical resistance was small. Therefore, it is verified that the orientation angle has more of an effect on the electromagnetic interference shield performance than the number of plies.

        The insecticidal activity of cinnamon essential oils, cinnamon bark, cinnamon technical, cinnamon green leaf oils and their constituents and structurally related compounds against citrus flatid planthopper, Metcalfa pruinosa, was examined using a direct contact application. At 500 mg litre-1 very strong mortality (100%) was observed in cinnamon technical, cinnamon bark, cinnamon green leaf, mortality against flatid planthopper M. pruinosa. The cinnamon oils constituents were identified by GC-MS. The active principles were determined to be hydrocinnamic acid (24 h LC50, 30.66 mg/L), geranic acid (24 h LC50, 31.23 mg/L), cinnamaldehyde (24 h LC50, 32.65 mg/L), hydrocinnamaldehyde (24 h LC50, 39.11 mg/L) and trans-cinnamaldehyede (24 h LC50, 39.54 mg/L) were the most toxic against both nymph and adult of citrus flatid planthopper, M. pruinosa. The moderate activity was observed with cinnamyl acetate, dibutyl pthalate, anethole, α -cyano cinnamic acid, cinnamyl alcohol, methyl cinnamaldehyde, eugenol, 2.4-dihydrocyl cinnamic acid, bornyl acetate (24 h LC50, 53.35- 97.17 mg/L) respectively. The other constituents were showed less or no activity against adult of M. pruinosa. Global efforts to reduce the level of highly toxic synthetic insecticides in the agricultural environment justify further studies on the active cinnamon oils active principles act as potential insecticides for the control of M. pruinosa populations as direct spray with contact action.

        Introduction Over the past 30 years, Chinese textile and clothing manufacturers have successfully established themselves as leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for world markets. This reputable position requires dedicated cost management; however, incremental increases in labor, land prices, rent, and production costs in China threaten and may eventually eliminate their OEM advantage (Yam, Lo, Sun, & Tang, 2003). The worldwide economic and business recession has intensified cost cutting measures as the essential survival tool for maintaining competitiveness. Since the mid-1990s, many Chinese companies have begun to recognize the importance of developing their own global brands and moving up the value-creation ladder (Fan, 2006). One such company is Aimer Group, Ltd., a vertically integrated premium underwear manufacturer. Initially founded in 1993 as an OEM, Aimer quickly transitioned to establish its own brands in domestic markets and, in recent years, has ventured into international markets. Currently, Aimer and its umbrella product lines are among the most recognized underwear brands in China with a manufacturing capacity of 10 million pieces. Their merchandise includes an array of women’s, men’s, teen girl’s and children’s lines as well as custom-made lingerie. According to the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Aimer Group has maintained the highest market share and the largest sales volume in the underwear sector for several years in China’s markets (Aimer, 2011). Objectives The purpose of the study was to investigate the design strategies implemented by Aimer to support their successful branding efforts. Specifically, the researchers seek to find: (a) the core elements in Aimer’s design strategies; (b) Aimer designers’ approach to product development; and (c) How design strategies support Aimer’s overall branding and marketing strategies. Findings will provide valuable implications for other Chinese apparel manufacturers who strive to integrate design innovation in order to remain competitive. Research Method A case study method was implemented which included: on-site visits to Aimer Group’s headquarters, manufacturing facility, and retail stores in Beijing; in-depth interviews with Aimer Groups’ Chairman, senior management, Chief Design Officer, designers, retail store managers, and the general manger of the Beijing manufacturing facility; and a review of the company website and other internal documents, as well as an extensive external search of relevant news reports, social media contents, industry information, and academic literature. A qualitative data analysis method was utilized. Findings Aimer brands have grown and matured along with the Chinese consumers. Until the late 1990s, consumers passively accepted whatever the industry provided for them. Today, 15 years later, consumers have become keenly aware of what they want in underwear and that desire drives the industry’s new product development. Aimer’s design strategies are consumer-centric but also a reflection of its internal strategic direction. Its core elements include the following: (1) Understanding consumer lifestyles: Extensive fashion industry trend analysis, consumer research, and market/sale feedback are just starting points for product development at Aimer. In addition, they use broader consumer lifestyle analysis, including an examination of new technology trends, consumer preferences for jewelry, cosmetics, car and cell phone designs, popular video/computer games, consumers’ financial management behaviors, and societal hot topics as a way of guiding product design. (2) Innovation: Innovation is of paramount importance in Aimer’s product development. They have maintained active partnerships with international suppliers and Research & Development teams to ensure the latest fiber discoveries, fabric developments, and pattern engineering technology are incorporated into new product design. (3) Tradition preserved and reinvented: Aimer brands keep certain essential elements integral to their overall style, reinventing and integrating heritage elements into new designs. By doing so, brand history is enriched and continuity sustained. Aspers (2010) suggests that product development must embrace contextual knowledge: the designer’s general knowledge of fashion and their lifeworld. Each domain is used to interpret fashion. A designer’s lifeworld comprises their inherent values and beliefs, presenting challenges when creating products for consumers who live in different lifeworld. Aimer’s solutions to the challenge include the following: (1) Designers as entrepreneurs: Designers are trained to be entrepreneurs who must think of design not only from creative aspects but also within a business context. The company has established effective protocols for new product design and adoption procedures and standards; meanwhile, designers are provided with weekly sales records as market feedback to guide their future design directions. They are also given opportunities on a regular basis to travel to various international and domestic markets to gain first-hand experience and knowledge of fashion trends and consumers. (2) Teamwork: Designers from various regions of China and internationally are grouped in teams and assigned to work together on brands. This provides ample opportunity for them to interact and learn from each other so that their lifeworld is expanded. Branding literature suggests that consumer’s individual and shared brand experiences affect a consumer-brand relationship (Chang, Long, Chieng, & Hua, 2006) which is of critical importance to brand loyalty. Aimer’s design strategies support its branding and marketing strategies by: (a) contributing to consumers’ positive, consistent, and multi-dimensional brand knowledge as a part of the brand-leveraging process (Keller, 2003); (b) providing value-added product and service features to enhance brand-augmentation (Magrath, 1997); and (c) offering strong and effective design capacity for brand tiering (Magrath, 1997). Implications Based on the findings, implications for Chinese apparel manufacturers who strive to upgrade with design innovation will be discussed.

        The 304 stainless steel powders were prepared by high energy ball milling and subsequently sintered byspark plasma sintering, and the microstructural characteristics and micro-hardness were investigated. The initial size ofthe irregular shaped 304 stainless steel powders was approximately 42 µm. After high energy ball milling at 800 rpmfor 5h, the powders became spherical with a size of approximately 2 µm, and without formation of reaction compounds.From TEM analysis, it was confirmed that the as-milled powders consisted of the aggregates of the nano-sized particles.As the sintering temperature increased from 1073K to 1573K, the relative density and micro-hardness of sintered sampleincreased. The sample sintered at 1573K showed the highest relative density of approximately 95% and a micro-hard-ness of 550 Hv.

        Members of the order Psocoptera are known as psocids (commonly called booklice or bark lice). There are more than 5,500 species in 41 familes in three suborders. The suborder Psocomorpha is the largest suborder in Psocoptera, containing 25 of the 41 psocopteran families. Psocomorphan familes are classified into four groups: Epipsocetae, Caeciliusetae, Homilopsocidea and Psocetae. Families Caeciliusidae and Stenopsocidae belong to the group Caeciliusetae. The family Caeciliusidae is the largest family of Psocomorpha, and is widely distributed in all zoogeographical regions. Monophyly was not supported by any autapomorphy (Yoshizawa, 2002). The Stenopsocidae is distributed in the Afrotropical, Palearctic, Oriental, and Australian regions. Monophyly is well supported by the presence of the R1-R2+3 crossvein, M-CuA1 crossvein, and lateral pouch of the spermathecal sac (Yoshizawa, 2002). These families, Caeciliusidae and Stenopsocidae consist of about 676 described species in 32 genera and about 188 described species in 4 genera, respectively. In Asia, there were reported 337 species belonging to 11 genera and 154 species belonging to 4 genera from China (Li, 2000) and 22 species belonging to 6 genera and 7 species belonging to 2 genera from Japan (Yoshizawa, 2004), respectively, but there have not been known from Korea until now. This study is the first work to make the checklist of the Korean Psocoptera. Through this study, I have reported 2 species of families Caeciliusidae and Stenopsocidae new to Korea, respectively.         Surveillance for subtropical moths through the inanimate pathway in the Korean Peninsula was investigated during the past seven years using the light trap in Baengnyeong and Daecheong islands, located near the Northern Limit Line (NLL) in the West Sea. Each record typically includes the taxonomic identify, its country of origin, and information related to inanimate pathway. A total of 2,201 individuals were detected, comprising 25 families, 441 species of Lepidoptera. The most dominant species was Chionarctia nivea (Noctuidae) with 44 individuals, followed by a crambid moth, Ostrinia furnacalis with 37 individuals. Among them, two species of subtropical moths, including Ischyja manlia Cramer and Spirama sp. belonging to the family Noctuidae, and they are mostly distributed in the subtropical area from the southern part of China to Borneo or Java. Interestingly, the other three species, Acronicta pruinosa (Guenée), Marumba spectabilis (Butler), and Spodoptera pecten Guenée were distributed in the southern regions, however, due to the effects of global warming, biotic province is now considered that may be certified moving northwards. Thus, it is very important to our weather conditions and further study on the surveillance of subtropical or/and southern species is needed, considering its possible status as a pest insect.

        The purpose of this study is to develop an objective instrument to measure ICT utilization ability of day care center teachers and verify its validity and goodness of fit. With the developed scale, the survey was conducted with 297 day care center teachers. As a result, the reliability of all questions was over .6, and the construct validity of the instrument consisting of 20 questions in 4 factors was verified in exploratory factor analysis. As a result of performing confirmatory factor analysis, it was found that GFI=.949, AGFI=.898, and RMR=.029, indicating that the goodness of fit index is sufficient to be used as a measuring model. The scales of ICT utilization ability are composed of 4 factors: Factor 1 is called editing, Factor 2 is program application, Factor 3 is installation and maintenance, and Factor 4 is named communication. With these factors, the measuring device for ICT utilization ability of day care center teachers, which is composed of a total of 20 questions, is confirmed.

        This study describes the development of innovative connections between steel beams and concrete-filled tube columns that utilize a combination of low-carbon steel and super-elastic shape memory alloy components. The intent is to combine the recentering behavior provided by the shape memory alloys to reduce building damage and residual drift after a major earthquake with the excellent energy dissipation of the low-carbon steel. The analysis and design of structures requires that simple yet accurate models for the connection behavior be developed. The development of a simplified 2D spring connection model for cyclic loads from advanced 3D FE monotonic studies is described. The implementation of those models into non-linear frame analyses indicates hat the recentering systems will provide substantial benefits for smaller earthquakes and superior performance to all-welded moment frames for large earthquakes.

        We analyze the dependence of disk morphology (arm class, Hubble type, bar type) of nearby spiral galaxies on the galaxy environment by using local background density (n), projected distance (rp), and tidal index (T I) as measures of the environment. There is a strong dependence of arm class and Hubble type on the galaxy environment, while the bar type exhibits a weak dependence with a high frequency of SB galaxies in high density regions. Grand design fractions and early-type fractions increase with increasing n, 1/rp, and T I, while fractions of flocculent spirals and late-type spirals decrease. Multiple-arm and intermediate-type spirals exhibit nearly constant fractions with weak trends similar to grand design and early-type spirals. While bar types show only a marginal dependence on n, they show a fairly clear dependence on rp with a high frequency of SB galaxies at small rp. The arm class also exhibits a stronger correlation with rp than n and T I, whereas the Hubble type exhibits similar correlations with n and rp. This suggests that the arm class is mostly affected by the nearest neighbor while the Hubble type is affected by the local densities contributed by neighboring galaxies as well as the nearest neighbor.

        히니의 시는 고향 떠남, 방랑, 귀향이라는 삼부구조로 되어있다. 1991년 작품인 환영보기로부터 1996년 영혼측정기 2001년 전기 등불그리고 그의 마지 막 작품인 2010년 인간 고리에 있는 서정시들에서 작가는 우리가 이미 알고 있고 우리의 눈으로 파악할 수 있는 것들이 과연 견고한 것인가 그리고 영혼은 어디에 깃 드는가라는 의문을 제기하고 있다. 그리고 이 시들에서 히니의 관심은 초기 시의 그의 정신적 중심이었던 고향과 가족으로 회귀하는 모습을 보여준다. 그런데 여기서 중심이 라하면 북아일랜드의 시골 고향마을, 그의 가족과 부모님 이 밖에도 영적 세계추구등 의 아일랜드 문학 전통과 단테 버질등의 고대 그리스 로마의 전통까지를 의미한다.

        We have used bulked segregant analysis to screen the strain-specific DNA marker associated psychrophilic strain of Pleurotus eryngii. Bulked genomic DNAs of Pleurotus eryngii were amplified by randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) using OP-A, OP-B, OP-L, OP-P, OP-R and OP-S primers to screen the strain-specific DNA marker. A unique DNA fragment of 490 bp was amplified with OP-L18 primer from the psychrophilic strain and sequenced. A sequence characterized amplified region (SCAR) marker was designed on the basis of the determined sequence and named as OP-L18-1. The PCR analysis with the OP-L18-1 primer showed that this SCAR marker clearly distinguish the psychrophilic strains from the control strains.

        We analyze the spiral structure of 1725 nearby spiral galaxies with redshift less than 0.02. We use the color images provided by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. We determine the arm classes (grand design, multiple-arm, flocculent) and the broad Hubble types (early, intermediate, late) as well as the bar types (SA, SAB, SB) by visual inspection. We find that flocculent galaxies are mostly of late Hubble type while multiple-arm galaxies are likely to be of early Hubble type. The fractional distribution of grand design galaxies is nearly constant along the Hubble type. The dependence of arm class on bar type is not as strong as that of the Hubble type. However, there is about a three times larger fraction of grand design spirals in SB galaxies than in SA galaxies, with nearly constant fractions of multiple-arm galaxies. However, if we consider the Hubble type and bar type together, grand design spirals are more frequent in early types than in late types for SA and SAB galaxies, while they are almost constant along the Hubble type for SB galaxies. There are clear correlations between spiral structures and the local background density: strongly barred, early-type, grand design spirals favor high-density regions, while non-barred, late-type, flocculent galaxies are likely to be found in low-density regions.

        셰이머스 히니의 전체 시는 고향 떠남, 방황 그리고 귀향이라는 삼부 구조로 구성되어있다. 그의 초기 시집 『자연주의자의 죽음』부터 『북 쪽』은 북 아일랜드를 떠나기에 앞서 북 아일랜드 사태가 초래한 시인의 정신적 갈등을 다룬 작품들이다. 이들 중 특히 『어둠의 문』에서 작가는 자유를 향한 변신의 몸짓으로 자신과 자신이 속한 공동체의 새로운 모습을 모색하면서 자신이 순수 시인이 되어야 할지 아니면 참여 시인이 되어야하는 지에 대한 갈등을 표현한다. 그리고 『북 쪽』은 북 아일랜드 사태의 근원과 그 해결법을 추구하면서도 이 사태로부터 탈출해야 할 것인가 아닌가의 갈등 그리고 떠나갈 것을 결정하기까지의 작가의 내적 여정을 그린 작품이다
