        The formation behavior of a passive state film on the surface of STS304 in electrolytic solution was analyzed to determine its metallic ion composition. The properties of passive state films vary depending on the Fe and Cr ions in the electrolytic solution. It was observed that the passive state film surface became flat and glossy as the concentration of Fe and Cr ions in the electrolytic solution increased. The corrosion resistance property of the passive state film was proportional to the amount of Fe and Cr in the electrolytic solution. An initial passive state film with high Fe concentration was formed on the surface of STS304 during early electrolytic polishing. Osmotic pressure of Fe ions occurs between the passive state film and electrolytic solution due to the Fe ion concentration gradient. The Fe in the passive state film is dissolved into the electrolyte, and Cr fills up the Fe ion vacancies. As a result, a good corrosion-resistant floating film was formed. The more Fe ions in the electrolytic solution, the faster the film is formed, and as a result, a flat passive state film containing a large amount of Cr can be formed.

        이상의 결과를 종합하면, 혼합유산균 2종(Bifidobacterium animalis ssp. Lactis Bf141와 Lactobacillus rhamnosus Lb102)의 섭취는 고지방식이 유도 비만 마우스에서 체중, 체지방, 제지방, 골밀도 등 주요 체성분에 영향을 주지 않았다. 혼합유산균은 식욕 조절 효과를 위해 측정한 사료 섭취량에도 영향을 주지 않았으며, 간 조직 무게에도 영향을 미치지 않았다. 인슐린저항성과 포도당신생합성의 주요 지표인 공복혈당량 또한 혼합유산균 급여에 의해 변화 하지 않았다. 또한 혼합유산균은 심혈관질환의 지표로 사용되는 혈중 중성지방 및 총 콜레스테롤에 영향을 주지 않았으며, 체내 지방의 소화 및 흡수율에서도 영향을 미치지 않았다. 결론적으로, 고지방식이유도 비만 마우스를 이용하여 혼합유산균(Bf141 + Lb102)의 항비만 생리활성 을 검증한 결과, 유의미한 물리적, 대사적 표현형 개선은 검증되지 않았다. 따라서, 추후 개별 보다 다양한 혼합 조건 및 농도로 연구를 설계하여 혼합유산균의 항비만 효과를 검증할 필요성이 있다.

        FDM 3D printing structures have rough surfaces and require post-treatment to improve the properties. Fumigation is a representative technique for removing surface unevenness. Surface treatment by fumigation proceeds by dissolving the surface of the protruding structure using a vaporized solvent. In this study, 3D printed PVB outputs are surface-treated with ethyl-alcohol fumigation. As the fumigation time increases, the surface flattens as ethanol dissolves the mountains on the surface of PVB and the surface valleys are filled with dissolved PVB. Through the fumigation process, the mechanical strength tends to decrease, and deformation rate increases. Ethanol vapor permeates into PVB, widening the distance between chains and resulting in weak bonding strength between chains. In order to confirm the effect of fumigation only, an annealing process is performed at 80 oC for 1, 5, 10, 30, and 50 minutes and the results of the fumigation are compared.

        It has been reported that illegal drug abuse is one of the emerging problems and continuously increasing in recent years. This study examines the extent of illegal drug-abuse and comprehend citizen's attitudes toward various drug-abuse issues for developing new strategies to reduce or prevent illegal drug abuse. Using data from 2,500 male an female adults in 7 major metropolitan cities, results show that 4.6% of respondents has experienced a broad sense of drug abuse. It is revealed that 61.9% of drug abusers reply curiosity as a motive of drug abuse. In addition, drug abusers have a favorable attitude toward drug abuse, and they feel curiosity and perceive it less harmful. Almost respondents reply to need a rigid enforcement of regulation and emphasize a severe punishment. However, 55.3% of the respondents reply a need of both punishment an medical/psychical treatment. In addition, research findings show that respondents emphasize prevention and education as a primary policy.

        A survey was conducted to investigate consumers' attitudes toward the foods developed by gene recombination techniques from December, 1999 to April, 2000. The questionnaires were mailed to 1,500 people, and the 1,101 people responded. The consumers were asked about knowledge, acceptance, intention of purchasing, and labeling information. Although the portion of the consumers (88.8%) knowing the genetically modified foods (GMF) was lower than that of the food expert group (98.7%), many consumers had some knowledge on the GMF, which may be influenced by news released from mass media. Seventy-nine percent of the consumers responded that gene recombination technology is necessary in food production, which is similar to the findings on the survey of the expert group. The portion of the consumers responding that these foods are potentially hazard was 88.1 %, which is a little higher than the data (80.9%) from the expert group. The consumers having greater knowledge less worried about a potential hazard of the gene recombinant foods (p<0.01). Although 62.9% of the consumers responded to be willing to purchase those foods, only 16.2% of them responded to purchase the foods with no conditions, which is lower to that from the expert group (23.5%). There was no statistically significant relationship between the knowledge and the intention of purchasing. The ninety point three percent of the consumers wanted the information on gene recombination to be labeled on the foods. The data from this survey suggest that knowledge of the consumers on the GMF are not accurate, so proper strategy for consumer education may need to be developed. In addition, it is necessary to improve safety assessment sys0etn and analytical techniques for genetically modified foods (GMF) and to build pre- and post-market surveillance system for efficient implementation of the GMF labeling.

        들깻잎 신품종 도입을 위해 재배된 30계통의 선발 품종의 정유성분 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 30 품종 모두 40가지 이상의 정유 성분들을 함유하고 있고 상위 3순위의 주요 성분들이 강원도 횡성군 동산면에서 재배된 15 품종은 D104 (56%), D107 (67.6%)을 제외하고 71~86%까지 차지하고 있었고 강원대학교 교내 포장에서 재배된 15 품종은 S114 (63.8%), S140 (68.3%)를 제외하고 77~88%까지 함유하고 있었다. 30 품종 모두 가장 많이 함유하고 있는 정유 성분이 75%를 넘지 않았고 다양한 성분 조성을 갖고 있어 다양한 화학형을 보였으나 정확한 품종 분류를 위해서는 GC/MS를 통한 후속연구가 필요하다. 본 연구 결과 perillaketone의 함량을 줄이고 대신 다른 향기 성분이 증가된 잎 들깨 도입 및 신품종 육성을 위한 기본정보로서 부합된다고 판단된다.
