Dongchimi is one of the most representative types of watery kimchi in Korea. Although the scope of application of dongchimi has been expanded, research on the quality of dongchimi is insufficient compared to that of baechu kimchi. This study aimed to find the optimal manufacturing condition of high-acidity dongchimi and investigate the effects of potassium citrate (P) and sugar (S) on quality. Different dongchimi samples (Control, S, P) were prepared and stored at 15oC for 15 days. Among the various sugars, sucrose made the highest acidity of dongchimi. When potassium citrate was added as a pH buffer, the acidity was 2.2 times higher than the control group. In the PS group, where sucrose and potassium citrate were added, the acidity and organic acid content were 3-fold and 3.7-fold higher, respectively, than those in the control group. As a result of the analysis of the free sugar content, the metabolism of lactic acid bacteria was expected to be relatively more activated in the PS group. Therefore, this study could be utilized in the dongchimi manufacturing industry or as primary data for other dongchimi research.

식중독에 의한 사회경제적 손실을 최소화하기 위해서는 식중독과 관련된 경제적 비용 손실을 추정하는 것이 중요하다. 하지만 자료의 부족과 다양한 비용 항목의 존재로 식중독과 관련된 사회경제적 손실비용을 정확하게 추정하기에 어려운 점 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 식중독 발생에 의한 손실비용을 추정하기에 앞서 국외에서 사용되는 사회경제적 비용항목의 기반 자료 확보를 목적으로 수행되었다. 2009-2019년 국외 식중독과 관련된 사회경제적 손실비용 측정 연구의 사례 조사를 위해 문헌 조사를 실시하였다. 이 연구에서는 사회경제적 손실비용을 크게 의료 기간에 방문한 외래/입원환자 및 의료기관에 미방문한 경험환자로 구분하였다. 또한 이들의 직접비용 및 간접비용을 고려하였고, 더 나아가 기업비용 및 행정비용 항목으로 구분하여 조사하였다. 조사 결과 문헌별, 나라별 상이한 비용항목을 사용하여 손실비용을 추정하는 것으로 관찰되었다. 직접의료비의 경우 모든 연구에서 외래 또는 입원진료비를 선정하여 비용을 산출한 것으로 관찰되었기 때문에 나라별 의료서비스의 체제 및 비용에 따라 항목을 선정해야 한다. 직접비의료비의 경우 몇 몇의 연구에서 외래 방문에 소요된 교통비만을 고려하였기 때문에 간병비 고려 여부에 대해서는 더 논의가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. 간접비용 중 조기사망비용, 작업손실비용, 여가손실비용 및 삶의 질 저하/고통비용은 고려하였으나, 병문안 기회비용은 모든 연구에서 고려하지 않았다. 직접의료비와 마찬가지로 행정비용의 경우에도 국가별 정부 예산이 상이하기 때문에 각 나라에 맞는 항목을 고려해야할 것이다. 따라서 이러한 조사 결과를 바탕으로 국내 식중독 발생에 의한 사회경제적 손실비용 분석을 위해 어떠한 비용 항목을 고려해야 할 것인지에 대한 검증절차가 필요할 것이다. 본 연구는 국내 식중독 발생에 의한 사회경제적 손실비용 분석을 위한 기초적인 정보를 제공할 것이다.

백두산에서는 밀레니엄 대분화 이후로도 수차례의 화산활동이 계속되어 마그마 거동 감시 연구의 필요성이 지속적으로 제기되고 있다. 마그마방의 깊이 및 규모를 파악하기 위해서는 다양한 지구물리학적 접근이 필요하며, 본 연구에서는 전기비저항 탐사의 적용성을 검토하고자 한다. 국경으로 인해 공간적 제한이 있는 백두산에서 심부에 위치한 마그마를 탐사하기 위해서는 측선의 길이가 수십 킬로미터 이상이 되는 대규모 전기탐사가 이루어져야 하며, 이를 위해 서는 분산계측 시스템의 도입과 이에 최적화된 탐사 설계가 필수적으로 요구된다. 따라서 자체 개발된 분산계측 시스템을 활용하는 탐사설계안을 제시하고 전산실험을 통해 적용 가능성을 분석하였다. 단일 측선과 비동일선상 송신원 배열을 사용한 탐사설계안을 이용하여 다수의 측선 설치가 필요한 일반적인 3차원 탐사에 준하는 역산 해석 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였으며, 이 탐사설계안이 백두산 심부 물리탐사에 유용하게 적용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This study was carried out to compare the survival and mutation rates and mutation spectrum by gamma-irradiation on rooted and unrooted cuttings of three spray type (‘Lovelydia’, ‘Yellowbabe’, and ‘Haetsal’) and two standard type (‘Vital’ and ‘Aqua’) cultivars in roses. Two groups, rooted and unrooted cuttings were gamma-irradiated at 70Gy for 24 hours. The irradiated rooted and unrooted cuttings were planted in a greenhouse, and survival, mutation rates and mutation spectrum were investigated 30 weeks after planting, respectively. As a result, survival and mutation rates ofgamma-ray irradiated plants were 16.4%~50.8% and 0~5.1% for unrooted cuttings, and 39.4%~55.1% and 0.7%~7.4% for rooted cuttings, respectively. In conclusion, both survival and mutation rates were a little higher on rooted cuttings than on unrooted cuttings. However, when only survived plants after gamma-ray irradiation were considered, mutation rates were 0~10% and 1.8%~14.1% for unrooted cuttings and rooted cuttings, respectively, showing no significant difference. In addition, diverse variations on color and number of petals or shape of flowers were detected both in plants from rooted and unrooted cuttings, which indicated that there was no significant difference in mutation spectrum between two groups.
