The purpose of this study is to explore the research and development(R&D) programs for effectively response of population aging. We analyzed of aging-related R&D support status by National Science and Technology Information Services(NTIS) and reviewed of foreign aging-related R&D programs. It was found that the overall lack of support systems, the R&D support status for Korea's aging society is very low performance and the difference appears in the annual support status, etc. It is very important to enhance the effectiveness of R&D programs in order to effectively prepare for aging society. I suggested support measures of the R&D for aging society by survey research. The result of this study will help in planning of the R&D for aging society and contribute to increasing of welfare for the aged.

In this study we carry out usability evaluation for adjustable electric beds for home care that are used the most by the elderly, and examines dissatisfaction of users. In this sense, we performed an interview with stakeholders including bed users, developers and suppliers to develop usability evaluation contents. In addition, we carried out feasibility and reliability study over evaluation form through usability assessment, and developed usability evaluation indicator.

The purpose of this paper is an application of AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) in the priority setting of promising technology in division of senior friendly product based on the previous studies. In this paper, the decision criteria for evaluating promising technologies in division of senior friendly product are identified and the hierarchical structure of decision making process is developed systematically. Subsequently the values of weights for relative importance among decision criteria are derived using AHP methodology, and the score of importance of promising technology in division of senior friendly product with respect to each criterion is evaluated. Finally the score of each promising technology in division of senior friendly product is quantified in order to prioritize them. We discuss implications of our results with a viewpoint of technology policy in division of senior friendly product.

HPMC is made of cellulose which is natural high polymer. And HPMC is applicable to several industrial areas. Especially it can be used in food industry as an effective additive. PCH is the by-product which is generated in chemical reaction in HPMC manufacturing process. So it is essential to eliminate PCH for the improvement of product quality. Therefore we have studied to minimize the amount of PCH. It is expected that the application of HPMC could be enlarged as the result of this study.

For the successful settlement of welfare equipment rental system, The efforts to prevent inconvenience of welfare equipment user's and improvement of the system for the activation is needed. The main object of this study is to identify the factors affecting satisfaction of welfare equipment rental and seek to proposals of revitalizing equipment rental system.

In this paper is presented the new procedures, for the new business model development, combining exploration and exploiting innovation programs. To obtain the creative business ideas, various exploration methodologies are adopted based on 6 Sigma's methodology, The new procedures are applied to the venture company and examined its validity.

The purpose of this paper is to develop a knowledge-based real-time decision support system to support decision makers for efficient berth operation of Inchon Port. In these days the berth operation problems have been many studied. The berth operation rules differ from port to port and the problem is highly dependent on natural geographical and operational environment of port. In Inchon Port the ship’s entrance into port and departure from port is extremely affected status of dock. In this paper we analyzed some effects of dock a specific character of Inchon Port with a real data of ship’s in Inchon Port. And reconstruct a previous expert’s knowledge of berth allocating problem in Inchon Port. Also the mechanism for the efficient berth operation has been studied by repeatedly dispatching in order to obtain a best effect of berth allocation, with real-time updated information for delay at service time of a specific berth and changing of a working-berth. The system is developed with graphic user interface(GUI) concept using user interactive approach. And this system will be provide decision support maker with an efficient and fast way to berth allocating and reduce wastes of time space and manpower in Inchon Port operation.
