        This study carried out an investigation about damage characteristic of substructure such as pier and abutment of highway bridge. The applied methodology was the average damage analysis according to service life. By using above methodology, damage characteristic of substructure penetrated water included de-icing salt was investigated. It was found that the area where was under heavy snow exhibited higher amount of average damage than that of the area where was under much less snow.

We determined the life cycle of Bridge Shoes with HBMS(Highway Bridge Management System) data by the survival analysis probability model.         Reinforced earth retaining wall is being applied in many construction sites such as slopes, roads, retaining walls with the development of geosynthetic. The case caused a problem with the stability of the reinforced earth retaining walls often occurs because the construction is being conducted, ignoring the basic assumptions of the economical design. In this study, reinforced earth retaining wall damage cases were analyzed in order to derive the causes. The results of this study will be useful for future maintenance of reinforced earth retaining wall.

        Lateral movement of bridge abutment is frequently causing damages to the expansion joints, bearings, bridge backwall and settlement of approach slabs. In this study, about 1,000 bridges which was lateral movement occur were investigated. The investigation shows that the lateral movement of abutment occurred not only in soft ground, but also in abutment on embankment of the normal soil conditions. The causes of lateral movement included settlement and deformation of high embankment, lateral spread of soft ground, expansion of con'c pavement by alkali-aggregate reaction.

        In this study, stability analysis was conducted for improved open-cut tunnel ground by preloading. The result of this study, vertical and unequal settlement was within the acceptable range. However, the field of soft ground can cause greater settlement than predicted. Therefore, the structure must be constructed in preparation for the differential settlement.

        이 연구는 다음과 같이 정리할 수 있다. 첫째, 인천내항 재개발의 추진 주체와 절차, 방법론에 대한 충분한 검토가 추가로 이어져야 한다. 인천내항 이해당사자의 요구를 적극 수용하여 사업 추진에 차질이 없도록 해야 한다. 둘째, 인천내항 재개발의 적정성 및 정책 추진의 타당성을 확보하여야 한다. 이에 대한 국민의 공감을 반드시 얻어야 한다. 셋째, 인천내항 재개발의 올바른 추진 체계를 확립하여야 한다. 이를 위하여 주민의 민의를 수렴하는 거버넌스 체계를 구축하여야 한다. 이 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 항만재개발은 항만법에 근거하여 전 국항만재개발기본계획 및 수정계획을 추진하고 있다. 인천내항 재개발은 타 지역의 항만과는 다소 상이점을 보이고 있다. 재개발계획의 수립에 앞서 이해당사자 간의 의견 조율과 요구 사항을 수용이 필수이다. 이는 항만 업계에서 요구하는 선결조건으로 대체부두 제공과 부두근로 자들의 고용보장이 사전에 해결되면 이 지역에서 발생되는 갈등구조를 해결할 수 있다. 더불어 친환경적인 친수레저공간 계획을 수립하고 지역의 주민과 상인의 요구사항을 수용한 정책 대안을 마련하여야 한다.

        There are a lot of difficulty in present inspection that need many inspectors and much time. It is necessary to improve this inspection working environment. So, we developed an inspection system it can solve problems in current visual inspection and it systemize the inspection tasks scientifically. This is an optimized culvert inspection system which enable to measure a surface condition and sectional shape change. it is used various convergence technology such as 3D laser scanning, digital image processing and texture mapping.

        The Goal of research is that decision-making in bridge and tunnel maintenance were estimated by prediction models of condition and value engineering. We developed the software that can be calculated asset values and it’s condition depending on budget scenario by the bridge and tunnel prediction model. It can be determined an optimal budget of facilities and it’s values using prediction model of cost and condition.
