        BSA 단백질 용액의 전량 막여과에서 상용(commercial) 막모듈의 경사각 변화에 따라 발생된 자연대류 불안정 흐름(NCIF)의 투과 플럭스 증가 효과를 측정한 결과, 막모듈의 경사각이 0°에서 180°로 증가하면 NCIF 발생이 커져 플럭스가 증가하였다. 그러나 상용 막모듈은 모듈 내에 존재하는 공기층을 완전히 제거해야 NCIF를 발생시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서 설계 제작된 custom design 막모듈은 crossward 방향(90°)으로 막투과가 이루어져 모듈 상부에 공기층이 존재하더라도 항상 NCIF가 발생된다. Custom design 막모듈에서 BSA와 dextran 용액의 막여과 실험을 수행한 결과, NCIF의 발생으로 2시간 조작 시 BSA 용액의 경우 약 3.8배, dextran 용액의 경우 약 1.8배까지 투과 플럭스가 증가하였다. 또한 BSA 용액을 대상으로 한 20시간의 조작에서도 NCIF의 발생이 지속되어 플럭스가 약 7.5배까지 증가하였다. 본 연구에서 설계된 막모듈은 항상 NCIF가 발생되므로 막오염 형성 억제에 따른 투과 플럭스 증가를 기대할 수 있어 전량여과 막모듈로서의 활용성이 있음을 확인하였다.

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the nurse’s experiences of ‘work flow interruption’ in hospital settings. Methods: Data were collected by in-depth interviews with 6 nurse in General wards or in the ER of tertiary hospitals. Qualitative content analysis method was used to analyze the data. Results: The following three categories were elicited; ‘acceptable interruptions’, ‘unacceptable interruption’, ‘nursing work environment interrupting work flow’. Conclusion: The findings provided interruptions are occurring in systemic structure and relationships within the hospital, taking into account the aspect of providing quality nursing care as profession. This confirms that nurses have negative effect on workload rather than positive ones. Based on the findings, it needs to be of interest to the nurses at the organizational level in order to relieve the burden and fatigue due to overloaded work.

        In this theoretical study, a design and performance analysis theory of a micro flowrate and high pressure air-compressor is developed. The governing equations are from the gas state equation and fluid dynamic theories because the working fluid in the air compressor is in a gas phase. A case study was conducted to design a reciprocating type of air compressor which the target performance was 0.6liter/min in the volume flowrate with 5atg in air pressure at 1,600rpm rotational speed. Geometrical size of the model air compressor designed is 10mm in stroke, 20mm in bore with 4.79 compression ratio. From the performance analysis of the model compressor, it was found that the air volume flowrate produced was 0.6liter/min with 5.81atg in pressure. The design theory of a micro-size high-pressure air compressor developed in this study is expected to be very useful design tools in NANO technology industry.

        The flow characteristics around the vertical wall with the flap were visualized in the water channel using PIV. And the effect of flap angle change was investigated to see how quickly the spreading can be prevented and confined if oil spill occurs at sea. As a result, the fluid in the front of the vertical wall flows constantly, Nearing a boundary layer on the vertical wall, and a flow separation phenomenon occurs. Thereafter, flow loss or depth loss to the bottom of the vertical wall was confirmed. Also, it was observed that irregular reverse circulation flow occurred due to flap angle change and pressure gradient at the back of vertical wall. In this study, it was analyzed that it is most effective at 20 degrees angle. In the future, it is necessary to confine the flow characteristics of PIV and CFD by assuming that there is a double vertical wall in which oil having a lower specific gravity than water is trapped in the oil fence.

        하천의 생태 환경적인 측면을 고려하여 여러 가지 친환경적인 호안공법이 적용되어 시공되는 사례가 증가하고 있다. 친환경적인 호안공법으로는 식생공이 대표적이나 중량물을 시공하는 호안공법과 달리 식생매트를 고정핀으로 고정하는 방식의 식생매트와 같은 호안공법의 경우 중량물을 설계하는 여타의 공법과 달리 적합한 설계방법이 없어 경험적인 방법을 통해서 제 품의 개발과 시공이 이루어지고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 식생매트공법에 사용되는 고정핀과 고정핀이 정착된 지반을 모델링하고 유한요소법을 활용하여 호안식생매트의 안전성을 평가하였다. 해석결과 핀의 상단 부분에서 인발에 저항하기 위해 인장응력이 유발되고 있으며, 헤드 부분은 거의 응력이 작용하지 않는 것으로 나타났고, 핀의 Von Mises 응력값이 인장강 도에 비해 낮게 나타나 파괴모드가 재료 자체의 항복 또는 파쇄에 의한 파괴가 아닌 핀과 지반사이의 뽑힘이 전체 거동을 지배 한다고 평가하였다. 본 연구는 유한요소법을 통해서 식생매트공법의 안전성을 변위와 발생응력에 대하여 평가하였다.

        Recently, the importance of on-site detection of pathogens has drawn attention in the field of molecular diagnostics. Unlike in a laboratory environment, on-site detection of pathogens is performed under limited resources. In this study, we tried to optimize the experimental conditions for on-site detection of pathogens using a combination of ultra-fast convection polymerase chain reaction (cPCR), which does not require regular electricity, and nucleic acid lateral flow (NALF) immunoassay. Salmonella species was used as the model pathogen. DNA was amplified within 21 minutes (equivalent to 30 cycles of polymerase chain reaction) using ultra-fast cPCR, and the amplified DNA was detected within approximately 5 minutes using NALF immunoassay with nucleic acid detection (NAD) cassettes. In order to avoid false-positive results with NAD cassettes, we reduced the primer concentration or ultra-fast cPCR run time. For singleplex ultra-fast cPCR, the primer concentration needed to be lowered to 3 μM or the run time needed to be reduced to 14 minutes. For duplex ultra-fast cPCR, 2 μM of each primer set needed to be used or the run time needed to be reduced to 14 minutes. Under the conditions optimized in this study, the combination of ultra-fast cPCR and NALF immunoassay can be applied to on-site detection of pathogens. The combination can be easily applied to the detection of oral pathogens.

        In the modern industrial period, the introduction of mass production was most important progress in civilization. Die-casting process is one of main methods for mass production in the modern industry. The aluminum die-casting in the mold filling process is very complicated where flow momentum is the high velocity of the liquid metal. Actually, it is almost impossible in complex parts exactly to figure the mold filling performance out with the experimental knowledge. The aluminum die-castings are important processes in the automotive industry to produce the lightweight automobile bodies. Due to this condition, the simulation is going to be more critical role in the design procedure. Simulation can give the best solution of a casting system and also enhance the casting quality. The cost and time savings of the casting layout design are the most advantage of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE).. Generally, the relations of casting conditions such as injection system, gate system, and cooling system should be considered when designing the casting layout. Due to the various relative matters of the above conditions, product defects such as defect extent and location are significantly difference. In this research by using the simulation software (AnyCasting), CAE simulation was conducted with three layout designs to find out the best alternative for the casting layout design of an automotive Oil Pan_BJ3E. In order to apply the simulation results into the production die-casting mold, they were analyzed and compared carefully. Internal porosities which are caused by air entrapments during the filling process were predicted and also the results of three models were compared with the modifications of the gate system and overflows. Internal porosities which are occurred during the solidification process are predicted with the solidification analysis. And also the results of the modified gate system are compared.

        Effects of multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) type and flow type (shear and elongational flow) on the electrical conductivity of polycarbonate (PC)/MWCNT nanocomposites were investigated. Two different MWCNTs produced a huge difference in electrical conductivity in an injection molded PC/MWCNT nanocomposite. It was observed that MWCNTs having a higher aspect ratio provide much lower electrical conductivity in injection molded PC/MWCNT nanocomposites while the conductivities of compression molded samples from two different MWCNTs were the same. We found that this is due to a difference in the deformability of the two MWCNTs. Nanocomposite samples prepared at a higher extensional rate and shear rate showed lower electrical conductivity. This is attributed to flow induced orientation of the MWCNTs. The experimental results were discussed in relation to variation in the tube–tube contact due to the change of the MWCNT orientation.

        This study was successfully achieved out the optimized system for dispersing and mixing condition of resin liquid. The flow analysis was simulated according to the shape of the impeller and the stirring tank using ANSYS software and optimized in advanced design. As a result, it was confirmed that the shape and double number of the impeller on the flow field are influenced better effects in a range of mixing and diffusion areas comparing to single number of impeller. It was considered that stirring was performed more quickly and efficiently under the condition of double numbers and saw tooth type impeller. This result can be applied practically for the mixing tank in the industrial application and avaliable used to make a new system for painting equipment.
