        The large bumblebee, Bombusterrestris, indigenous to Europe and adjacent area, and used extensively for high-value crop pollination, has been artificially introduced to several parts of the world. Here we show the interspecific hybridization between the bumblebee species, B.hypocrita sapporoensis and B.terrestris, under laboratory conditions. The mating and oviposition percentages resulting from the interspecific hybridization of a B.terrestris queen with a B. h. sapporoensis male were higher than those resulting from the intraspecific mating of B. h. sapporoensis. Furthermore, a competitive copulation experiment indicated that the mating of B. h. sapporoensis males with B.terrestris queens was 1.2-fold more frequent than the mating of these males with B. h. sapporoensis queens. The interspecific hybridization of a B.terrestris queen with a B. h. sapporoensis male produced either B.terrestris workers or the B.terrestris male phenotype, and the hybridization of a B. h. sapporoensis queen with a B.terrestris male produced B. h. sapporoensis males. Our results indicated that interspecific hybridization occurred between B. h. sapporoensis and B.terrestris. The results suggests that such hybridization will have a negative competitive impact and will cause genetic contamination of native bumblebees.

        A new cultivar "KNR10-1" of Pleurotus eryngii was developed by the method of mono-mono crossing between monokaryotic strains derived from KNR2594 and KNR2610, respectively. The optimum temperature of mycelial growth was 25℃ and that of fruiting body development was 15 - 16℃. The period of harvesting including primordia formation of "KNR10-1" was one day faster than that of control strain KNR2312. The color of pileus and stipe surface was neutral-brown and pure white, respectively. The shape of pileus was dome and has the teeth of a comb. The yield was 90±12.9g/850cc plastic bottle. The fruit body has a longer shelf life than control strain KNR2312 at 4℃. Analysis of the genetic characteristics of the new commercial strain "KNR10-1" showed a different profile as that of the control strain KNR2312 when RAPD (Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA) primers were used. This new variety of King Oyster mushroom is characterized by the improved storability after harvesting.

        Four Ganoderma lucidum strains, Chizhi 05, Jingda, Huizhou and Xinzhou, were screened out as hybrid parent in order to establish G. lucidum cross breeding system that based on protoplast monokaryogenesis method. Monokaryotic strains of each parental strains were obtained and mating type of each monokaryotic strains were determined. One to three monokaryotic strains that have different mating types were mated, and hybrids were identified by clamp connection observation and antagonist response. The results showed that the number of monokaryon came from Chizhi 05, Jingda, Huizhou and Xinzhou was 9, 14, 40 and 38, respectively. Only one mating type was obtained from Jingda, and two mating types were obtained from the other three strains, Chizhi 05, Huizhou and Xinzhou, respectively. Chi-square test showed that the ratio of two mating types of the three strains was 1:1. Fourteen monokaryotic strains of different mating types from 4 parental strains were select as a cross- breeding materia, and 17 hybrids were obtained, which were identified by clamp connection observation and antagonist response. This study proclaimed that the practicality of the hybridization breeding of G. lucidum by protoplast monokaryogenesis method.

        For the purposes of this paper, stress may be defined as any modification of environmental parameters that leads to a response by biological organisms. Stresses that affect biological structures may be non-thermal, such as ultraviolet radiation, pH, or salinity, or thermal. Temperature is one of the major stresses that all living organism face. The major effects of cold shock are decrease of membrane fluidity and the stabilization of secondary structures of RNA and DNA in the cells, which may effect the efficiency of translation, transcription, and DNA replication. In this study in compliance with the cold temperature stress about selection of the useful gene is contents from the silkworm which is been revealed. The survival rate which is caused by with the cold temperature stress until 12 hours was 100% in 0℃, until 2 hours was 100% in -5℃. A total of 960 clones were randomly selected from the subtraction cDNA library, and then performed a differential display hybridization analysis with forward and reverse probes. In conclusion, selected 53 partial clones and novel 2 full-length clones were identified as differential expressed genes. We assumed that the novel gene related with transmembrane.

        본 연구에서는 소의 체외 수정란에 대해 Y 염색체 특이 DNA 표지를 이용하여 FISH 기법으로서 수정란의 성감별을 수행하고 이를 이식하여 산전 성감별 개체 생산을 시도하였다. 본 연구에 이용된 Y-염색체 특이 DNA probe는 bovine male specific DNA로 알려진 btDYZ-1의 385bp 단편으로 제작하였고, Dig-PCR 방법으로 labeling하였다. 수정란의 성감별은 IVF로서 생산된 단계의 수정란을 공시하고 이들로부터 단일할구를 생검하여 분석하였다. 생검 방법은 투명대를 laser로 drilling하고 개의 할구를 squeezing하여 분리하였으며 demi-embryo는 1일간 재 배양하여 배반포기 단계에서 이식하였다. 우선, 본 probe의 신뢰성을 검정하기 위하여 생검된 할구는 FISH 기법으로 Y 염색체 존재 여부를 판단하고, 이의 demi-embryo는 재 배양하여 중기상을 유도하여 핵형분석한 후 비교 검토한 바 97.6%의 일치율을 나타내었다. 한편, 수정란에서 성감별을 위한 FISH의 적용 여부를 검토하고자 총 3937개의 공시란 중 3657개(93%)가 분석이 가능하였고, 이들 중 45.8%가 Y 염색체 특이적 접합 발현 양상이 나타났다. 본 결과를 토대로 경남 진주 인근 지역 농장의 15두의 소를 대상으로 성 감별 수정란을 이식한 결과, 7두가 임신한 것으로 확인되었고 이들 중 5마리가 출산하였다. 뿐만 아니라 출산된 송아지들은 모두 예견된 성과 100% 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서 적용한 FISH 기법은 수정란의 성감별에 효율성이 높고 매우 높은 정확성을 나타냄에 따라 실질적으로 성감별 수정란의 대량생산이 가능할 것으로 사료되며, 농가차원에서 산업적 실용화가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.twork descrition)를 통해 교통분석후의 제반 교통특성(교통량, 교통량/용량 비(比), 속도 등)을 교통망상에 표시할 수 있음으로서 의사결정에 보다 많은 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 비트율의 증가와 화질 열화는 각각 최대 1.32%와 최대 0.11dB로 무시할 수 있을 정도로 작음을 확인 하였다.을 알 수 있었다. 현지관측에 비해 막대한 비용과 시간을 절약할 수 있는 위성영상해석방법을 이용한 방법은 해양수질파악이 가능할 것으로 판단되며, GIS를 이용하여 다양하고 복잡한 자료를 데이터베이스화함으로써 가시화하고, 이를 기초로 공간분석을 실시함으로써 환경요소별 공간분포에 대한 파악을 통해 수치모형실험을 이용한 각종 환경영향의 평가 및 예측을 위한 기초자료로 이용이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.염총량관리 기본계획 시 구축된 모형 매개변수를 바탕으로 분석을 수행하였다. 일차오차분석을 이용하여 수리매개변수와 수질매개변수의 수질항목별 상대적 기여도를 파악해 본 결과, 수리매개변수는 DO, BOD, 유기질소, 유기인 모든 항목에 일정 정도의 상대적 기여도를 가지고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이로부터 수질 모형의 적용 시 수리 매개변수 또한 수질 매개변수의 추정 시와 같이 보다 세심한 주의를 기울여 추정할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단된다.변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략을 활용하는 경우 주식투자기간은 24개월이하의 중단기가 적합함을 발견하였다. 이상의 행태적 측면과 투자성과측면의 실증결과를 통하여 한국주식시장에 있어서 시장수익률을 평균적으로 초과할 수 있는 거래전략은 존재하므로 이러한 전략을 개발 및 활용할 수 있으며, 특히, 한국주식시장에 적합한 거래전략은 반전거래전략이고, 이 전략의 유용성은 투자자가 설정한 투자기간보다 더욱

        Sexing from bovine embryos which were fertilized in vitro implicate a possibility of the sex-controlled cattle production. This study was carried out to investigate the possibility of determining of embryo sex by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) technique. FISH was achieved in in vitro fertilized bovine embryos using a bovine Y-specific DNA probe which constructed from the btDYZ-1 sequences. To evaluate Y-chromosome specificity of the FISH probe, metaphase spreads of whole embryos and lymphocytes were prepared and tested. A male-specific signal was detected on 100% of Y chromosome bearing metaphase specimens. Using the FISH technique with a bovine Y-specific probe, 232 whole embryos of 8 cell- to blastocyst-stage were analyzed. Observing the presence of the Y-probe signal on blastomeres, 102 embryos were predicted as male, and 130 embryos as female. The determining rate of embryo sex by FISH technique was about 93% regardless of embryonic stages. In conclusion, the FISH using a bovine Y-specific DNA probe is an accurate, reliable and quick method for determining the sex of bovine embryos.

        Recruitment of primordial follicles(PMF) is crucial for female fertility. however, factors and mechanisms that regulate this process is poorly understood. The present study was conducted to obtain an inclusive view of the gene expression and to identify novel factors and their pathways of regulating PMF arrest and/or growth initiation. Ovaries from one-day neonatal(consists of oocyte and PMF) and five-day old(consists of PMF and primary follicles, PRIF) mice were collected, either total RNA or mRNA was isolated, and suppression subtractive hybridization(SSH) was used to isolate and clone genes that differentially expressed in day 1 and day 5 ovaries. Confirmation that some of these genes are differentially expressed in PMF and/or in PRIF was accomplished by using laser captured microdissection(LCM), RT-PCR. in situ hybridization(ISH) and/or immunohistochemistry(IHC). In toto, 357 clones were sequenced and analyzed by BLAST and RIKEN program. Sequences of 330 clones significantly matched database entries while 27 clones were novel. Forty-two and 47 different genes were identified as differentially expressed in day 1 and day 5 ovaries, respectively, while 7 genes were expressed in both stages of ovaries. Day 5-subtracted library included several genes known as markers far growing follicles, such as ZP2, MATER, and fetuin. Among the genes with assigned functions, 23.8% was associated with cell cycle/apoptosis regulation, 7.1% with cellular structure, 11.9% with metabolism, 26.2% with signal transduction, and 31.0% with gene/protein expression in day 1; while 10.6%, 17.0%, 23.5%, 25.5%, and 23.4% in day 5, respectively. Genes such as GDF-8, Lats2, Septin2, and Weel were the highly expressed genes in PMF, while HSP84, Laminin2, MATER, MTi7, PTP, and Wrn were highly expressed genes in PRIF. We have successfully discovered list of genes expressed in day 1 and day 5 ovaries and confirmed that some of them are differentially expressed in PMF and/or PRIF. Gene expression profile from the present study would provide insight for the future study on the mechanism(s) involved in primordial-primary follicular transition.
