        지구온난화 및 대기오염 등 환경문제에 대한 관심이 대두되면서 국제해사기구의 선박 대기오염물질 배출 규제 및 협약이 채택 되었으며, 최근 국내에서는 항만지역 등 대기질의 개선에 관한 특별법안이 제정되어 미세먼지 발생량을 줄이고자 다방면으로 노력하고 있다. 이러한 미세먼지 저감대책의 일환으로 노후화된 연안선박의 디젤엔진을 미세먼지 및 배출가스가 없는 배터리 전기추진시스템으로 전환하는 것에 대한 타당성 조사가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 배터리 전기추진시스템은 연료의 연소로 인한 배기가스의 발생이 없으며, 신재 생에너지원의 적용이 용이하므로 유럽이나 미국과 같은 선진국에서는 수년전부터 신재생에너지를 적용한 배터리 전기추진시스템이 적용 된 소형연안여객선이 운항 중이나 국내에서는 전무하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내 소형연안여객선을 대상선박으로 선정하여 태양광 발 전시스템이 연계된 배터리 전기추진선박의 적용 여부에 대해 시뮬레이션을 하였으며, 그에 따른 결과를 바탕으로 배터리 전기추진선박의 적용가능성을 확인하고자 한다.

        In this study, a motion control problem for the vessels towed by tugboats or towing ships on the sea is considered. The towed vessel looks like the barge ship, which is used for many purposes. In these vessels, basically, the power propulsion system is not installed but just towed by a towing vessel such as tugboats with ropes and wires. It means that the motions of towed vessel are basically dependent on the tracking route of towing boat. Therefore, in some cases, undesirable and unpredictable motions may be made by environmental factors such as wave, wind attack and so on. As a result, a collision accident with others may occur during maneuvering situation. Based on these facts, the authors try to encourage the steering performance of the towed vessel by using controllable rudders without any propulsion system. In this study, especially, a controllable vessel with three rudders is considered, and a mathematical model is induced for the future study. The model is described as surge, sway motion and inertia moment by following the general representation method for the surface ship.

        CFRP는 경량화 소재로 각광받고 있으며, 해양산업에서도 고급요트와 특수목적 선박 등에 사용되고 있다. 전기추진체계 또한 친환경 추진 방법으로써, 요트와 소형 여객선 등의 주 추진계로 활용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 소형선박의 선체소재와 추진계를 각각 CFRP와 전동기로 교체하였을 때의 경량화 효과를 정량적으로 비교분석하였다. 45ft GFRP 선박을 대상으로 사례연구를 수행하였으며, 선체소재를 설계원안과 동일 함침율 기준의 CFRP로 재설계하였고, 추진계는 설계원안의 동일 마력, 항해거리를 유지할 수 있도록 전동기와 배터리 시스템을 설계하였다. 연구결과 CFRP 소재는 선각을 45 % 정도 경량화 할 수 있었고, 전기추진체계는 기관부를 58% 경량화 할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 다만 전기추진체계의 경우, 디젤 추진체계의 항해거리를 확보하기 위하여 상당한 양의 배터리 팩을 필요로 하기 때문에, 현실적인 수준에서의 경량화 실효성은 없는 것으로 확인되었다.

        The small coastal vessel registered in Korea, small coastal vessels with a gross tonnage of 10 tons or less account for 94.6 % and among them, aged vessels over 16 years age indicate 40.6 %. In order to reduce GHG emissions from small coast vessels, discussions are underway to replace aging ships' propulsion units with eco - friendly propulsion facilities, and the electric propulsion ship is emerging as one of the measures. The electric propulsion system using the DFE rectifier, which was applied in the conventional large commercial vessel, was effective in reducing the harmonics and improving the DC output voltage of the DC link stage, but it occupied a large volume and caused an increase in the overall system price. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an electric propulsion system using AFE rectifier with a small volume of system that can be applied to a small coastal vessel. In order to analyze the effectiveness of the overall system, the load profile was applied to obtain accurate and rapid speed tracking performance of the propulsion motor affected by the speed load. In addition, the power factor and total harmonic distortion factor of the voltage and current on the improved power output side are derived through simulation.

        In order for the probe to perform ocean exploration and survey research, it is necessary to adjust the position of the ship as desired by dynamic positioning system. The dynamic positioning system of T/S NARA is applied to K-POS dynamic positioning system of Kongsberg, which makes maintaining the ship's position, changing position and heading control possible. T/S NARA is not capable of dynamic positioning if one or more propulsive forces are lost with DP Level One. However, it is predicted that dynamic positioning can be achieved even at the time of missing one thrust in a good sea condition. Therefore, we want to analyze the effect of each propulsion on the performance of dynamic position system. When one of the bow thruster and azimuth thrusters lost their propulsion, maintaining the ship's position, changing position and heading control performance were compared and analyzed. If the situation occurred disable from using the bow thruster, they can not maintain ship's position. Azimuth thruster was influential for the ship's position control and bow thruster was influential in heading control. The excellent dynamic positioning performance can be achieved, considering the propulsion power that will have a impact on each situation in the future.

        Recently, the outboard engine system of internal combustion engine is widely used in the field of small ship propulsion. However, the internal combustion engine has serious problems of energy depletion and environmental problems, so electric propulsion methods are being studied. In this paper, we have developed important motors and controllers of electric propulsion system for small marine outboard motors. The motor design was performed through the motor characteristics analysis method, and the 30Kw system was developed through the BEMF processing circuit and the power conversion circuit by the embedded microprocessor. This study was carried out through government supported projects and achieved quantitative targets through accredited institutions.

        The planing hull is characterized by a large change in the posture according to the speed, and the shape of the propeller varies, so that the hull resistance varies greatly depending on the propeller used. Especially, the Savitsky system, which is widely used for estimating the resistance of planing hull, does not consider the characteristics of these propeller and ship bottom spray rails. In this paper, in order to investigate the difference in resistance characteristics between the propeller and the bottom of the propeller of 6m and 12m class propeller using propeller such as outboard or stern drive, A comparative test was conducted on resistance and attitude posture changes in the Circulating Water Channel of Institute of Medium & Small Shipbuilding. As a result of comparison test, it was confirmed that there is a clear difference in the attitude change due to the presence of the bottom floor spray rail and the change in resistance characteristics due to the installation of the propeller. However, attitude change with the propeller was found to be insignificant.
